Abstract

Based on interviews and observations, the metacognitive skills of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Lamboya are still low. This is because the thinking skills have not been empowered in school. Need effort to overcome this, one way that is implementation of learning model study of Group Investigation (GI). The purpose of applying the Group Investigation learning model (GI) to improve students' metacognitive skills. This research is a class action research (PTK) consisting of 4 stages of Planning, Action, Observation, Reflection which is implemented in two cycles. The subjects of the study were students of class VII A SMP Negeri 4 Lamboya academic year 2016/2017 as many as 23 students. The results showed that the percentage of masakognitif skill resulted from (51.08) in cycle I to (73,52) in cycle II. The conclusion of this research is Group Investigation study model (GI) can improve metacognitive skill of class VII A student of SMP Negeri 4 Lamboya.

Abstract

Air pollution is changes of air arrangement from its normal state that is caused by the ingress of foreign materials or substances in the air. The resulting pollutants include SO2, NO2, CO2, O3, hydrocarbons, and heavy metals such as lead (Pb), zinc (Zn) and cadmium (Cd). The impact of plant’s vehicle exhaust gas is seen from the leaf mesophyll damage especially in the palisade tissue and the reduced number of stomata. Responding to the problem, conducted research with the aim to know the influence of pollution on the amount of stomata on the plant bamboo rejeki (Dracaena reflexa) as ornamental plants absorb pollution in the area of Malang city using the method of polishing the acne (aceton). The results showed that the number of stomata in polluted areas of vehicle pollution decreased at each point compared to areas not polluted by vehicles. In the contaminated area the average number of stomata is at point one 49, the second point 42.5, and the third point 37, whereas in the area that is not contaminated with the average number of stomata at point one 60.5, the second point is 68, and the point three is 70,5. Damage or Decrease in the number of stomata occurs due to the entry of gas that is toxic through stomata with diffusion process, so that the liquid composition of the cell becomes disturbed and the cell becomes damaged and dead.

Abstract

One of the efforts in accommodating 21st century learning in IKIP Budi Utomo Malang, especially in Biology Education Program in Genetics Subject is with the development of Auto Play media with MEA (Means-Ends-Analysis) method. This study aims to produce products in the form of learning media based on Genetics Auto Play with MEA method. This development research uses Research and Development (R & D) method with 4D development model which has Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. In this research is done up to development stage and especially on small scale test on 10 students of biology education program IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The result of student response analysis stated that the developed media is included in good enough category (88,57%). For media benefit criteria included in highly valid category (89.5%), media display criteria fall into very valid category (89.5%), and media material presentation criteria fall into very valid category (86.5%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognetif melalui media karikatur berbasis sparkol video scribe pada matakuliah Genetika mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi 2014-A IKIP Budi Utomo Malang (IBU). Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan rancangan berupa pemberian tindakan pada siklus pembelajaran, yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Biologi kelas A angkatan 2014, berjumlah 38 mahasiswa. Proses pengumpulan data penelitian dilaksanakan dengan langkah-langkah, yaitu mengobservasi keaktifan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar dan pelaksanaan tes formatif pada tiap akhir siklus dilanjutkan dengan analisis hasil tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis persentase, yang mana ranah analisisnya meliputi analisis keaktifan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar dan analisis hasil belajar kognetif mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar berupa tes siklus I termasuk ke dalam kategori ‘Cukup’ karena mampu mencapai 71% dengan rata-rata hasil tes adalah 68, namun persentase tersebut belum mampu mencapai target ketuntasan klasikal minimal 80%, oleh karena itu peneliti melanjutkan tindakan pada siklus II. Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas siklus II menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar berupa tes termasuk ke dalam kategori ‘Baik’ karena mampu mencapai 82% dengan rata-rata hasil tes adalah 73,6, dan persentase ketuntasan ini telah melewati standar ketuntasan klasikal minimal 80%. Keaktifan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar pun meningkat dari siklus ke siklus, yaitu rata-rata persentase mahasiswa yang aktif pada siklus I hanya mencapai 44,21%, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 58,42%. Sesuai dengan hasil analisis data tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui media karikatur berbasis sparkol video scribe dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognetif mahasiswa Biologi kelas A angkatan 2014 IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.

Abstract

This research is descriptive research, as for the purpose of this research to improve students' critical thinking ability to environmental problem by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in Environmental Science subject in Biology Education Study Program of UM Palembang. The study was conducted from September to December 2016. The results of this study indicate that PBL learning model is suitable to be applied in the subject of Environmental Knowledge. That students are able to think critically is seen from the way students solve environmental problems properly, meticulously, logically and thoroughly

Abstract

Analysis is a basic ability for students to think critically and include one of the high cognitive that were important to mastered students. Where the ability of high-level thinking was one of the goals of education in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Generative Learning model on the Ability of Student Analysis on Matter of Human Nervous System in Class XI IPA SMA Muara Lakitan Musi Rawas Regency. This research used Quasi Experiment method of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students of class XI IPA with sampling technique used nonprobability of purposive sampling. With the sample of research class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 which amounted to 69 students. Technique of data collection used multiple choice test amounting to 15 question, observation of model execution, field notes and documentation. Based on analysis result of student's analysis ability showed that mastery of analysis ability indicator in experiment class 67,7% higher than control class that was 55,3%. The improvement of analytical ability can be seen from the N-gain value where the experimental class has a gain value of 0,53 with medium category higher than control class that is 0.19 with low category. The results of hypothesis testing using t test obtained tcount = 3.969 and ttable = 1.670 with 95% confidence level ( = 0.05). The data shows that tcount> ttable, then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Generative Learning model has an effect on the students' analysis ability in the XI grade of SMA Negeri Muara Lakitan of Musi Rawas Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to produce LKS based on problem based learning coupled think pair share and can be applied in teaching and learning process, describe the implementation of learning, the level of legibility of students after using LKS based prbolem based learning combined think pair share. This research is a development research using 4-D development model that is Define (Define), Design (Design), Develop (Development), while Disseminate stage (Dissemination) is not done due to time constraint. The pilot phase was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kambera in class XI-IPA which amounted to 8 students. The results showed that in accordance with the study of LKS, the worksheet of students based on problem based learning combined think pair share process that has been developed declared eligible for trial. Implementation of learning using LKS has reached / obtained the average implementation of% The level of legality of LKS based on problem based learning combined think pair share of students obtain the overall average of 3.87% stated in the category Very Worthy, it shows that most Students argue the material and media used are easy to understand and the appearance of student worksheets (LKS) interesting.

Abstract

Pseudomonas fluorescent jenis bakteri bersifat patogen dan dapat menyebabkan serangan sistemik serta mengakibatkan kematian secara masal. Bakteri ini menginfeksi luka dan menyebabkan kematian setelah satu minggu ikan mas terinfeksi. Pengobatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan filtrat daun beluntas, selama ini daun beluntas hanya digunakan sebagai sayuran dan pagar di tepi jalan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian true eksperimen melalui pendekatan The Post Test Only Control Group Design. Variabel dalam penelitian ini antara lain variabel bebas, konsentrasi filtrat daun beluntas yang terdiri dari 0%, 2.5%, 3.5%, 4.5%. Variabel terikat, tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan mas yang terinfeksi bakteri Pseudomonas fluorescent. Variabel kontrol antara lain suhu, pH netral, DO meter, ppm, volume air, pakan, dan usia ikan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji pendahuluan, yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis anava satu arah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengobatan tradisional menggunakan daun beluntas yang paling efektif terhadap benih ikan mas yang terinfeksi bakteri Pseudomonas flourescent adalah konsentrasi 3,5%, yang menunjukkan kelangsungan hidup tertinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the learning model Concept Attainment Model (CAM) affect the Critical Thinking Ability of Students in SMA Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Palembang. This research uses a quasi-experimental method (Quasi-Experimental) with pretest-posttest control group design research design. Sampling is done by saturated sampling technique. The sample of this research is class X IPA 1 and class X IPA 2 in SMA Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Palembang. The results showed that there are differences in critical thinking ability of Animalia subject matter. Improvement Critical thinking ability can be seen on the result before using learning model that is Interpreter indicator, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference (Conclusion), Explanation (Explanation), Self-regulation is 36%, 36%, 37%, 41% 45%, and 46%. Whereas after using Learning Model on interpretation indicator, analysis, evaluation, inference (Conclusion), Explanation (Self Explanation), Self-regulation is 80%, 84%, 85%, 85%, 83%, and 84%. The results showed that this learning model can improve students' critical thinking ability. The results of statistical calculations obtained count = 3.474 and t table of 1.666 with DK (degrees of freedom) of 73 with a significant level of 5% so that tcount> t table is 3.474> 1.666 and significance value 0.001> 0.05. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the influence of the learning model Concept Attainment Model to the critical thinking ability of students in SMA Nahdatul Ulama Palembang.

Abstract

Technology-based learning needs to be done immediately in order to carry out more interested in learning and fostering student motivation. Furthermore, learning should be done byeach student characteristics.One of which is multiple intelligences based learning. Through the application of multiple intelligence assisted technology based learning, it is expected that the learning objectives will be more easily achieved by students. Interactive module based on multiple intelligences that has been validated was the product of this research and developmental experiment. This research was limited to the Changes of Genetic Material taught at the Genetics Course at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Research and development model was carried out by 4D model from Thiagarajan. This research phase includes define, design, design, and disseminate stages. The research data is obtained from the module validation score, both from material experts, media experts, and practitioners (students). The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the validation of media experts, material experts and small-scale trials, it is known that the percentage results are above 85%, so the product is declared valid. Furthermore, it is necessary to test the classical scale to find out its effectiveness in learning.
