Abstract

The world of education is very important for everyone and the younger generation. Education aims to educate and increase one's potential. Education aims to develop student character values. which includes components of knowledge, awareness, and skills of students based on English. This research is motivated by the researcher's interest in international classes while doing internships at certain schools that are carried out by every FKIP student. The international class at SMAN 3 Ponorogo is the first high school/K/equivalent level international class in Ponorogo, therefore the researcher wants to find out more in-depth information about the international class at SMAN 3 Ponorogo. This study aims to determine the implementation of learning evaluation and analysis of students' thoughts in international classes with Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum-based learning. The international class itself is a way to develop students' potential to improve English skills and to think critically, logically and systematically analyze students at SMAN 3 Ponorogo, East Java. This study uses a qualitative method by describing or describing activities in the international class. Data was collected using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects used in this study were a teacher and three international class students, where previously the researcher had observed the X international class at SMAN 3 Ponorogo. In this study, researchers can conclude that the existence of this international class, although it faces many challenges, has a good impact on students and teachers who have the responsibility to teach in this class. The impact that looks striking is the use of English used in the teaching and learning process so that teachers and students in international classes are required to understand and understand English properly and correctly

Abstract

This study has a problem that students have low motivation in speaking skill and the aim of this study is to examine how the size of the TikTok application affected on students’ speaking skill motivation of tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya in the academic year 2021/2022. Pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design is used in this research process. The researcher selected  X Mia 3 by using the purposive sampling technique consisting of 32 students. The questionnaire sheet is the instrument used in this study. Pre-test and post-test data were collected and analyzed using a t-test. This study found that the average pre-test score was 79.43 and the post-test score was 84.53. The result of the t-test was 5.86. The t-table with 31 degrees of freedom (df) and a significance at level 0.05 was 2.03. Analysis of the data revealed that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted because the t-test was higher than the t-table (5.862.03). In addition, the effect size was 0.99, which is classified as a very strong effect (0.8). Thus, implementing the TikTok application very strong affects students' speaking  skill motivation.

Abstract

A number of statements are addressed to defend and criticize two popular teaching templates: Presentation Practice Production (PPP) and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT). Advocates of each teaching template claim that their method is more effectively to be implemented in English language teaching than the other. This article compares these teaching templates to find out their strengths and weaknesses. This paper is a library study. It employs theoretical analysis to examine experts, prominent figures, and previous important theories and findings on discussing the same topic. The idea of PPP is a deductive and teacher-centered approach with focuses mainly on accuracy by means of drilling practice. Meanwhile, TBLT encourages students to be communicative in the classroom through language input and pushes the teacher to be a facilitator. The result of the comparison indicates that using PPP is effective in preparing students to take exams or tests, while TBLT is useful to accommodate students’ real-life communicative purposes. As these teaching templates are effective in certain contexts, teachers should consider the learning goals before deciding to implement either PPP or TBLT.

Abstract

This study seeks to determine the policy regarding using Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) to maintain and enhance traffic orders. ETLE is based on Law (UU) Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation and Government Regulation (PP) Number 80 of 2012 concerning Procedures for Inspecting Motorized Vehicles on the Road and Enforcement of Traffic and Road Transportation Violations. From October 2022 to February 2023, this research was conducted at the state police of the Republic of Indonesia in Central Java Resor Sukoharjo. To observe and comprehend the subjects and objects of study, the researcher employs a qualitative descriptive method based on observations made in the field. During and after data collection, data collection techniques, such as observation, interviews, and documentation, are combined with data analysis, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification drawing. As evidenced by the recapitulation of 16,538 violation cases in Sukoharjo, the results demonstrated the public's need for more understanding regarding electronic fines and discipline in maintaining driving order must be improved. Additional socialization efforts are required to maintain traffic order and reduce instances of these violations. Replacing conventional ticketing with electronic ticketing, or ETLE, will result in more equitable, transparent, and efficient public services. To support security, order, safety, and order in traffic, the benefits can be felt by all levels of society simultaneously.

Abstract

The purpose of learning mathematics is to change the performance of each student in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. One part of the cognitive domain that is needed when studying mathematics is understanding concepts. Hadi and Kasum (2015) reiterated the notion that conceptual understanding is very important in solving mathematical and contextual problems. Based on the results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers at SMPN 1 Krian, information was obtained that students' conceptual understanding was still low, judging from the average daily test results for number pattern material below the KKM. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Krian. The subjects in this study were two class VIII students of SMPN 1 Krian who had the highest and lowest test results. The data analysis method used in this study consisted of data reduction, data reclassification, and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is that the high subject fulfills the four indicators of understanding the concept which consists of restating a concept, classifying the types of number patterns, applying the concept into a mathematical representation, and selecting certain procedures from a concept. Meanwhile, the low subject did not meet two indicators, namely restating a concept, three indicators fulfilled but not perfect which consisted of classifying the types of number patterns, applying concepts into mathematical representations, and selecting certain procedures from a concept.
