Abstract

This research aims to examine the proportion of physical activities and cognitive activities in the physics learning that using NHT as a learning model. The research is descriptive qualitative. There are three samples used in this research. Two of them are lesson plans. The other one is a video of physics learning that applicate NHT model. The result shows that in sample 1 which is RPP 1 shows that proportion of physical activities and cognitive activities is 6.6% and 93.4% respectively, then in sample 2 which is RPP 2 shows that physical activities and cognitive activities proportion is 5.5% and 94.5% respectively, and the third sample which is the video shows that physical activities and cognitive activities proportion is 13.3% and 86.7% respectively. Based on the considerable study of percentage that done in the RPP and the learning video shows that cognitive activities are more dominant than physical activities, this result is already accord with purpose of physics learning according to taxonomy bloom but this result also not accord with the basic idea of cooperative learning which is constructivism because in three sample student are not push to get the knowledge by their work. Based on that research finding it is suggested that in the learning activity that using NHT teacher use a drive questions so the cognitive activity in the learning can be accord with the target of basic idea from the NHT which is constructivism

Abstract

The method used in the development of mathematics learning model of Thinking Empowerment by Question (TEQ) with TAI setting is R & D through 4-D steps, i.e., define, design, develop and disseminate. The subjects in the implementation of the model are the seventh-grade students of one of the junior high schools in Yogyakarta in the academic year 2017/2018 on the plane material. The method used in the model implementation is the quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. Metacognition ability obtained used closed questionnaire. This model is based on the value of count proven to improve students' metacognition ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the scientific approach of Economics with modules that have been developed to improve the learning results of high school students. This research is the development of research based on the model of the Borg with Gall & i.e. stage introduction, development, and testing phase. The subject in this study is the SMA Negeri Mandailing Natal. Data collection techniques are used namely observation, interview, questionnaire, documentation, and test the results of the study. Data processing is carried out using SPSS. Operational field test using the design of one group pretest posttest design. Analysis of student learning test results in analysis using t-test test (independent samples test). The results showed that: the effectiveness of the economic lesson module with scientific approach showed that the average results of experimental classes after using the learning modules developed of 85.00 from earlier amounted to 65.00, and the control classes scored an average of 78.00 from previous 66.00. These values indicate that the developed modules can improve student learning result effectively.

Abstract

Textbooks as compulsory reference books containing misconceptions may prevent students from learning. This study aims to determine the mistakes of the concepts contained in biology textbooks especially immune system material and to determine the percentage of mistake concept. This research belongs to the type of evaluation research and data collection techniques used is documentary study. The object of research in this study is immune system material in a textbook published by Erlangga, Yudhistira, and Grasindo. In order to facilitate this research, the books are each given a symbol A, B and C. Identification mistake concept in this study used the standard criteria of mistake according to the concept Dikmenli (2009) and Hersey (2004) which include: Oversimplifications, Overgeneralizations, Undergeneralizations, Obsolete Concept and Terms, and Misidentifications. Immune system materials in textbooks that are used as objects in this study are identified to contain mistakes of the concept categories namely Oversimplifications, Overgeneralizations, Undergeneralizations, and Misidentifications. The percentage of each category for book A is 23.5%; 5.9%; 5.9% and 5.9%; that of book B is 41.2%; 17.6%; 0% and 11.8%; while that of book C is 58,8%; 0%; 11.8% and 11.8% respectively. The results of this study indicate that the mistake of the concept on the books is very fatal. Therefore, the preparation of textbooks must meet the criteria of instructional materials according to BSNP covering four aspects, namely content, language, graphics and serving content (techniques, materials, and learning).

Abstract

The role of teachers is very important in the learning process to create a quality learning atmosphere so as to produce a quality output as well. The fact that there are still many obstacles in the field related to the role of a competent and professional teachers. There are still many students who have not been able to optimally apply the results of education in school into real life. This is what needs to get attention, that teachers as the spearhead of the success of national education goals that can be achieved by students. This study aims to find out how the form of planning and implementation of learning in elementary schools in applying the model of PBL, and how students' achievements in solving problems. Research with descriptive method, collecting data through questionnaire, test, and interview. Data analysis is statistically descriptive with calculation of percentage and graph. The results showed that the planning and implementation of learning with Problem Base Learning (PBL) is still low on average. The lowest score of teacher questionnaire results is on implementing scientific learning as much as 29.7% and understanding of new scientific steps 30%. Student learning outcomes measured through tests with three categories indicate the percentage of students in completing the lowest test is in the problem-solving
