Abstract

This study originated from the fact in the School that learning is often dominated by teachers so that student learning outcomes about Light material are not as expected. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of Light in class V SDN 07 Silaut. This type of research is classroom action research with an experimental method. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach which is carried out in two collaborative cycles between researchers and teachers. Research subjects were teachers and grade V elementary school students. The results showed that using experimental methods can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students.

Abstract

This research begins with the observations and observations of the author when visiting Syekh Burhanuddin Nagari Ulakan's Religious Cemetery of Ulakan Tapakis Subdistrict, Padang Pariaman Regency, that unknown attractions, narrow accessibility, inadequate tourist facilities and tourist activities in tourist attractions Religious Tomb of Sheikh Burhanuddin. This study aims to analyze how the Development of Religious Tourism and the History of Syekh Burhanuddin's Tomb in Padang Pariaman Regency is seen from four indicators of development potential, namely attractions, accessibility, amenities, and activities. This type of research is a qualitative method research using SWOT analysis. The technique of data collection is done using the method of interview, observation, documentation, and SWOT analysis. The technique of data collection was done by interviewing the tomb guards and those who knew more about Sheikh Burhanuddin's grave, and using the SWOT analysis. Religious activity in the area has brought vast impact on the surrounding region, either in the form of the development of economic activities, the development of settlements and the like, however the development of the area has not been coupled with completeness basic facilities and infrastructure are adequate in supporting religious activities as well as a growing tourism activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnyakemampuan menulis siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III. Faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa yaitu kurangnya perhatian siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, guru sering menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga tidak meningkatkan daya pikir dan kemampuan menulis siswa.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa melalui metode bermain jawaban. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa melalui metode bermain jawaban. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas III SDN 27 Batang Anaiyang berjumlah 20 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran guru, lembar observasi kemampuan menulis siswa, dan tes hasil belajar kemampuan menulis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitiandiketahui rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 68,00 pada siklus I menjadi 77,05 pada siklus II dan ketuntasan belajar siklus I dengan persentase 55,00%, menjadi 80,00%. Dari hasil analisis lembar observasi kegiatan siswa diperoleh rata-rata persentase dari observer siklus I 37.05%, sedangkan siklus II 71,25% sehingga dalam kategori baik.Hal ini berarti target indikator dalam penelitian ini berhasil dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan metode bermain jawaban berlangsung dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan agar guru dapat menggunakan  menggunakan model bermain jawabanuntuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis serta hasil belajar kemampuan menulis siswa.

Abstract

In July 2012, it's registered that 58% of 47 million people who have smartphone in Indonesian is dominated by teenager aged 14 until 17 years (result of research by Nielsen). Students should be use the smartphone appropriate with function to pointing students on a positive thing, but students indicate that they still use smartphone for a negative thing. This study aimed to analyze and to describe about motives of students to choose smartphone and the use of smartphone by students SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang. This research is a quantitative study with descriptive approach. The population is all students who have a smartphone as many as 227 students. Sample as many as 145 students. Instrument used is the scale of motive students have a smartphone and the use of smartphone. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) the level of motive students have a smartphone in SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang at the high category, and (2) the level of use smartphone by students SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang also at the high category.

Abstract

The low level of concern of the school community towards the environment is a problem that occurs in the SMU 1 District of Luak. The school environment is arid, garbage is everywhere. The toilet is dirty, the walls of the class and the furniture are streaked, and other environmental problems. As a result, the community is less interested in sending their children to this school and choosing another place for their sons and daughters. This happened at least until the beginning of 2014. The problems raised in this paper are: how to build school competitiveness so that it becomes the people's choice. Through the implementation of the Adiwiyata school program, school residents have had a high concern for their environment and cultivated a clean and healthy life so that the face of the school has changed. Physically, schools look clean, green, organized, and fun for all school people. In 2015, the school received an award as a district-level adiwiyata school and in 2016 received the title of a provincial adiwiyata school. At this time, the community has looked at SMPN 1 Luak District as an option. Through the implementation of the Adiwiyata program, it turns out that school competitiveness can be improved.

Abstract

Teacher in mathematics learning process of 1st grade at SDN 21 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman used to implement expository method. It caused the learning achievement of students become low. This study is a classroom action research with two cycles that aimed to improve students’ learning achievement by implementing realistic mathematics education. Mean of students’ learning achievement score in cycle I is 77.2 and 88.2 for cycle II. Hence, realistic mathematics education can improve students’ learning achievement.

Abstract

Unpreparedness of parents in taking care of the interests of children with autism will make children continue backward and not ready for the future. In such conditions it is necessary support for parents in caring for children with autism. This study was conducted aiming to provide support to parents of children with autism so that the problems arising from the existence of an autistic child can be minimized or even eliminated altogether. In addition, this research can also be used as a reference for parents who have children with autism in an effort to maintenance and cure children with autism. Qualitative research is considered more appropriate to determine the family counseling program for parents who have children with autism in the Autism Institute YPPA Padang. The approach used in this study is deemed appropriate in understanding and motivating parents of children with autism with all complexity as subjective beings.

Abstract

The school supervision that carried out by the principal will have a significant impact of the implementation in the learning process by the teacher in the school. The implementation is also a manifestation of the effectiveness of learning programs in supporting the teacher's main tasks. However, preliminary studies in the field showed that in general the research subjects were still not optimal in carrying out their main tasks, such as the lack of a learning plan, less optimal use of learning media, evaluation not being compiled and the results of assessments not being used optimally. This study aims to provide the principal's supervision actions on the implementation of the teacher's main tasks through a series of treatments in two cycles. This research consists of 21 teachers at SMPN 2 Situjuah Limo Nagari, Lima Puluh Kota District. The results of the study have proven that the implementation of school principal’s supervision can improve the implementation of the main tasks.

Abstract

Supposed educators can provide excellent service to consumers, in the academic community of Universitas Negeri Padang. Universitas Negeri Padang comes in at the 61st (sixty-one) out of the 100 (one hundred) best universities in Indonesia. Being one of the best universities in Indonesia’s educators should have excellent service to consumers who in this case are students. However, in fact, many educators still do not have self-awareness (self-awareness) awareness) in providing excellent service to consumers. This is evidenced by the identification of self-awareness conditions of respondents in the high category is still low compared to the medium category. The following report will describe the condition of self-awareness of educators.
