Abstract

The factors in choosing a major for higher education for grade-11 students of Senior High School is the first step in preparing their future career. Before student continuing education to higher education students have to determine the right major for his/herself. The factors that influence student in choosing the major in higher education is personality factor, friend of the same age factor, and parent guidance factor. The purpose of this research is to determine the dominant factor that influence 11th grade State Senior High School 5 of Banda Aceh students in election process for major in advanced education. This research used descriptive qualitative as research approach. The total sample of this research is 138 students. The simple random sampling techniques is used in obtaining the sample of this research. The data collection in this research is using scale questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis using the percentage of descriptive analysis, this research results indicate that there are two dominant factors affecting students in election process for major in advanced education which is personality factor with percentage of 92% and parents factor with percentage of 76%, meanwhile friend of the same age factor gives students insignificant influence in the election process for major in advanced education with percentage of 33%. The conclusion in this research is the student of 11th grade choose majors because the influence of personality factor and friend of the same age factor.

Abstract

Result of initial observation at SDN 18 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman indicated that 1st grade students were afraid and shy to speak in front of class. It was caused the language learning only emphasized on reading and writing skills. Speaking skill was still not being a main focus. This is a classroom action research aimed to improve students’ speaking skill. Data were colected by using test and observation. In cycle I, percentage of students’ speaking skill mean score is 53,3%. In cycle II, percentage of students’ speaking skill mean score is 86%. Hence, learning with media of picture-series can improve students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity and student learning outcomes in  Civic Education  subjects in class 11th social program 2 at Islamic Senior High School Number 2  Bukittinggi. The factors that cause low activity and student learning outcomes such as the lack of opportunities for students to explore potential, low motivation, learning models that are not varied. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the increase in activity and student learning outcomes through the jigsaw type learning cooperative learning model in class 11th social program 2 at Islamic Senior High School Number 2  Bukittinggi. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of the research was 25 people consisting of 18 female students and 7 male students. Based on the results of the study showed that there was an increase in activity in the first cycle of reading 60%, discussing 64%, listening to 64%, presenting 49.3%, asking 60%, making a summary of 26.67%, working on the test 42.67%. In cycle II I read 86.3%, discussed 86%, listened to 86%, presented 75.67, asked 83.67, made a summary of 68.33% and worked on the test 80%. From the results of the study it can be concluded that Civics learning using the jigsaw type learning cooperative learning model can improve learning activities and student learning outcomes in class 11th social program 2 at Islamic Senior High School Number 2  Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mendeskripsikan: 1) Rencana pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar soal cerita melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. 2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar soal cerita melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, dan 3) Peningkatan hasil belajar soal cerita melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Masalah penelitian dirumuskan sebagai berikut: Bagaimanakah Peningkatkan Hasil Belajar Soal Cerita Melalui Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada Siswa Kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman”? Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas III semester II SDN 22 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Jumlah siswanya yaitu 25 orang, 10 orang laki-laki dan 15 orang perempuan. dari Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa hanya memperoleh nilai rata-rata 5,6. Kemudian setelah diadakan tes akhir siklus 1, siswa memperolrh nilai rata-rata menjadi 6,8. Dan tes akhir siklus II rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 8,46. Jadi dilihat dari rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan CTL hasil pembelajaran siswa dapat ditingkatkan

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh lemahnya pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran PKN siswa kelas V SDN 24 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan lemahnya proses pembelajaran. Di antaranya adalah siswa kurang aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar yang disebabkan karena guru cendrung menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga tidak meningkatnya daya berpikir siswa, dan kemampuan berkerja sama dengan teman. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan VCT. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas pembelajaran PKN melalui Model VCTdi kelas V SDN 24 Batang Anai  Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua kali pertemuan dan satu  kali pertemuan untuk tes hasil belajar siklus. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 24 Batang Anai  Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, yang berjumlah 16 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat diketahui bahwa aktivitas siswa dalam mengemukakan pendapat baik kepada guru maupun temannya dari 62,50 % pada siklus I menjadi 84,38% pada siklus II, dalam menganalisis masalah sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran dari 53,13 % pada siklus I menjadi 78,13% pada siklus II dan  juga meningkatkan dalam bertanggung jawab serta bekerjasama dalam kelompoknya dari 62,50% pada siklus I menjadi 81,25 pada siklus II. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran PKN dengan menggunakan pendekatan VCT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa kelas V SDN 24 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

Students who are likely to have a positive self concept will have a high sense of optimism in the process of thesis writting. This study aims to describe the concept of self-esteem and optimism the students in the process of thesis writting and identify relationships of self concept and optimism. This research is descriptive correlation with 61 students Guidance and Counseling as subject. This research used a questionnaire instrument and has passed the valid test. The research result reveal the condition of student self concept on category quite well and optimism of the student on good category, and there is a significant relationship between self concept and optimism of the student in the process of thesis writting by category. Necessary counseling services for optimizing student self concept and optimism.

Abstract

This research was purposed in creating a product of audio visual animation media for teaching music to mentally disabled students at SLB Negeri 2 Padang. This research method was being used the development research. This research was included the research to make a new product in teaching system. This research was used the approach of ADDIE (anasysis, Desain, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model. The data was being gotten from the interviews observations, literature educations and documentations. The technical analysis of data was being held by using analysis teachnic descriptive qualitative.this technical analysiswas gave the result of the development product in teaching media based on multimedia. Furthermore,it was gave the result test for level of validation and reliable of the pruduct to be  implemented in teaching vocational art music at subject of marching bandof Indonesian raya song. The result of this research was being showed the result of learning and creativity thementally disabled students in vocational art music learning. This research also aimed To fullfill the standardize of grade and suitable for completeness study of standardize. Besides that the appearance audio visual animation media was used to increase the concentration, communication and expression in responing the subject so that the ability of the student in vocational art music learning was being developed better.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesegaran jasmani siswa, yang salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh senam SKJ 2008 yang diikuti siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen lapangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana pelaksanaan senam SKJ 2008 terhadap kesegaran jasmani siswa SD N 27 Gaung Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SD 27 Gaung Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok dari kelas I sampai VI dengan jumlah 203 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive random sampling, yaitu ditetapkan hanya siswa puteri kelas V SD N 27 Gaung Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok yang berjumlah 11 orang sebagai sampel. Kriteria, menguasai SKJ 2008 dengan baik. Hipotesis yang diajukan yaitu, terdapat pengaruh yang berarti latihan senam SKJ 2008 terhadap kesegaran jasmani siswa SD Negeri 27 Gaung Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes TKJI sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan senam SKJ 2008 terhadap siswa. Data yang telah terkumpul digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t. Sebelum uji t dilakukan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil dari uji hipotesis yang menggunakan statistik uji t dapat disimpulkan yaitu, “terdapat pengaruh yang berarti pada latihan senam SKJ 2008 terhadap peningkatan kesegaran jasmani siswa SD N 27 Gaung Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok dengan perolehan thitung 3,35 > ttabel 2,36 pada taraf signifikan α 0,05”. Dengan demikian latihan SKJ 2008 dapat meningkatkan kesegaran jasmani siswa SD N 27 Gaung Kecamatan Kubung Kabupaten Solok.

Abstract

Background of this study is the low learning participation of 6th grade students’ in social subject learning. This study aimed to improve students’ participation in social subject learning through implementation of guided teaching model. This is a classroom action research which was conducted at SDN 18 Batang Anai. Data were collected through observation of teacher’s activity, observation of students’ participation, and test of students’ achievement. There are three observed indicators of participation: proposing idea, answering question, and asking question. For cycle I, percentage of students’ participation in proposing idea is 34.37% and 78.12% for cycle II. Percentage of students’ participation in answering question is 37.49% for cycle I and 81.25% for cycle II. Furthermore, percentage of students’ participation in asking question is 26.16% for cycle I and 75.00% for cycle II. There is also improvement of students’ learning achievement. It is 46.87% in cycle I and 87.50% in cycle II. Hence, implementation of guided teaching model in social subject learning can improve students’ participation.
