Abstract

Literacy awareness has been arising in all community levels, started form children to adults, woman to man. How to make them literate for any aspect of life is the goal of this movement. Moreover, this awareness has been spread gradually with lining to the development of community’s engagement in their external involvement that influences their internal community. This research discusses about how literacy movement in Ruang Baca Tanah Ombak as a new phenomenon on literacy can be as a base of literacy spirit for eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in a changing world to reach one of sustainable development goals that is education especially in Indonesia. Thus, an observation, documentation, and deep interview among the initiators, volunteers, and target group had been done in order to find how motivation strengthened the management system in problem solving, goals, and future target applied in this community. Further, the observation result, the documentation, and the interview recording were used as data to be analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The main target of this research is to form managerial pattern of community-based literacy movement with the aim to provide model as a reference for other communities in building the literacy movement for their society. In conclusion, it is found that community-based literacy movement was a crucial matter in changing community’s understanding about the importance of literacy for human life.Keywords: Community-Based Literacy Movement, Sustainable Development Goals, Managerial Pattern, Ruang Baca Tanah Ombak

Abstract

The role of non formal education oriented toward change and micro-social behavior in the short term. Disaster mitigation is a series of efforts to reduce disaster risk, either through physical development or awareness and increased capacity in dealing with hazards disaster. Disaster education is one way of mitigation that can be done in the community such as the institute courses, learning centers (PKBM), and other study groups. Disaster education to the community is an important part that should not be overlooked. Public awareness in disaster prone areas is absolutely necessary, because without awareness, attitude and character of disaster conscious will not grow.  So that when disaster strikes all the people will not be confused, panic, because it has been studied disaster education.

Abstract

This research is background by good service towards cadre service toward the Posyandu elderly participant at Posyandu Nagari VII Koto Talago Guguak Sub-district of Lima Puluh Kota. The purpose of the study describes the benefits of services include: (1) information services, (2) facilities services, (3) health services. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population in the study amounted to 60 people. The sampling technique in this research is the cluster random sampling method, with 30 samples. The collection technique is a questionnaire, while the data collection tool uses a list of statements. The results showed that the benefits of cadre service according to members are very good: (1) excellent information service, (2) excellent facility service, (3) excellent health service. Suggestions for the delivery of services provided to the cadres to the participants are continuously improved so that participants feel happy in the service.Keywords: Cadre Service, Information, Facility, Health

Abstract

This research was motivated by Mathematics learning learning activities that went well. It can be seen from the high learning outcomes of learning citizens. The purpose of this study is to describe professional competencies including (1) mastering the concepts and mindset of science that underlie the subject matter, (2) developing learning material, (3) developing professionalism in a sustainable manner, (4) utilizing information and communication technology to develop themselves. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population in the study amounted to twenty and samples of fifteen people. The sampling technique in this research is random sampling method. Data collection techniques and tools used are interviews and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques use a percentage formula. The findings of this study indicate that the professional competence of instructors according to learning citizens in the teaching and learning process of Mathematics is very good, it includes the following four aspects: (1) mastering the concepts and scientific mindset that underlie the subject matter, (2) developing the subject matter, (3) develop professionalism in a sustainable manner, (4) utilize information and communication technology to develop themselves.It is recommended for instructors to keep maintaining and improving professional competencies that are already good in the future.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high participation of learners English in the course of English Tutorial Center Padang, visible high level of attendance, liveliness and discipline of learners. Researchers suspect that the cause of the high participation of learners is due to the process of reward and punishment by the instructor in the learning activities. This study aims to describe the process of reward and punishment by instructors in English learning activities. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were all students totaling 500 people. Sampling technique used is cluster sampling, samples taken at each level/study group as many as 50 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. While the data collection tool use a list of statements. Data analysis techniques use a percentage formula. The results show that rewards in of point, reward, and praise are categorized both given by the instructor, as well as punishments in prefentive and repressive forms categorized well given by the instructor. This is evidenced by the majority of students expressing "often" from each statement given.Keywords: Reward, Punishment, Participation

Abstract

This research was motivated by the high independence of school dropouts in Jorong Koto Baru Lembah Gumanti District, Solok Regency, which was marked by their own income and their participation in community activities. The independence of teenagers dropping out of school was allegedly due to the efforts of parents in establishing their independence. The total population in this study were 25 teenagers who dropped out of school with a sampling of 60% so that there were 15 people. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive with percentage calculation. The results of the study found that, (1) the opportunity given by parents, (2) communication conducted by parents, and (3) the responsibility given in the formation of independence in Jorong Koto Baru was categorized as very good.Keywords: Efforts, Independence

Abstract

This research describes the effectiveness of using powerpoint media on adolescent learning in the mosque Air Tawar Timur. The population in this research is 40sampels, with a total sample of 20 people using a cluster sampling technique. The main instrument of this research is observation. Based on the research, result of uji hipotesis is thitung> ttable(2,09 <9,30>2,86). The difference in control class increase to experiment class is significant. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keberhasilan kegiatan randai di Sanggar Seni Mustika Minang Duo Kota Pariaman, terlihat dari banyaknya prestasi yang diraih warga belajar setiap tahun pada kegiatan randai. Penulis menduga disebabkan oleh minat warga belajar yang tinggi mengikuti kegiatan randai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan gambaran minat warga belajar mengikuti kegiatan randai ditinjau dari aspek perhatian, perasaan senang, dan ketertarikan warga belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah warga belajar yang mengikuti kegiatan randai sebanyak 35 orang, sampel diambil sebanyak 72% yaitu 25 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpul data adalah angket dengan alat pengumpul data berupa kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan perhitungan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat warga belajar mengikuti kegiatan randai pada aspek perhatian warga belajar sudah sangat baik, perasaan senang warga belajar sangat baik, dan ketertarikan warga belajar sangat baik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high participation and activeness of the trainees allegedly because of the positive response from the participants of small medium business training to the implementation of the training itself. This study aims to describe the training participants' responses to training materials, training methods, training media, and training instructors. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in the study as many as 100 people. Sample 40 people with stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used questionnaires with data collection tools in the form of a list of statements. Data analysis techniques use percentage calculations. The results showed that the participants' responses were positive, as seen from the high percentage of results for the answers agreed and strongly agreed. The result of the research is that the training participants' responses to training materials, training methods, training media, and training instructors are positive. Research suggestions to training instructors, in order to maintain the performance of their training, training providers, in order to facilitate instructors in carrying out their future tasks, and as inputs for other researchers to examine other variables concerning training of small and medium enterprises.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of entrepreneurship that is owned by graduates of life skills education in the field of fashion skills in learning activities in the District of Lima Puluh Kota, seen from 30 graduates who only a few people who are entrepreneurs. Researchers suspect that the cause of the low motivation for entrepreneurship in graduates of Life Skills education is due to the lack of adversity intelligence possessed by graduates. This study aims to describe the relationship between adversity intelligence and entrepreneurial motivation for life skills education graduates in fashion management skills. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational type. The population in this study were 30 people. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, a sample of 65% as many as 19 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and data collection tools using a list of statements (questionnaires). The results of the study showed that the description of adversity intelligence graduates of life skills education in nursing skills was categorized as low.Keywords: Adversity Intelligence, Entrepreneurial Motivation
