Abstract

The background of this research is that in the field there are still many teachers who do not pay attention to the potential of students to develop social skills and learning outcomes. STAD type cooperative learning model is one small group learning model between 4-5 people with different backgrounds to complete a task for a common goal. This model can also foster positive social skills for students. The most visible stages of growing social skills are discussion and evaluation. The research method used is classroom action research. This research is designed with a cycle model that is repeatable and sustainable. The research subjects were students in grade IV of Public Elementary School 031 Pelesiran with a total of 28 people. Research instruments are student worksheets (LKS), process assessment sheets, test questions, observation sheets, documentation. The results showed that there was an increase in the results of mathematics learning material in building the beam and cube space of the fourth grade students with STAD type Cooperative Learning models using three-dimensional media in the form of models of space building. The results showed that the STAD type Cooperative Learning model using three-dimensional media can improve student learning processes and results in learning to build a beam space and cube.

The background of this research is observation result on Social learning process in Pakuhaji Elementary School on Ngamprah subdistrictin West Bandung region, where the learning process still classicalwhere teacher become the center of learning and the teacher is too text book which is caused the student activity is very less and make the learning process become unpleasant, so the student learning result cannot be optimum. The method used in this research is classroom action research. The data collection done with the observation and learning result test. The reseach done in three cycles that is precycle, first cycle and second cycle. In precycle the average of the class is 64.35, with 11 students who thorough, then in fisrt cycle the average of the class is 79.39 up significantly with 26 students who thorough, next in second cycle with the average of the class is 87.55 with 28 students who thorough. From the number of student who reach Minimum Competence Criteria, there is a raising from 11 students or 34.48% from all of student now become 28 students or 90.32% from all of student, which is 31 students. Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes of students through a learning model of problem-based learning on the sub-theme energy and change. This research was conducted in class III SD Muhammadiyah 4 Bandung and against the background circumstances of students are lacking in learning outcomes in the learning because teachers still use the learning that is conventional, that is, by using the lecture method, so that the involvement of learners in the learning was minimal. By using the model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning outcomes of students, because, in this model, the students become the center in the process of learning, stimulating learners to think critically, and to deepen their knowledge about what they know and what they need to know to solve the problem. In addition to its model of problem-based learning can also increase the activity and learning outcomes of students, help, develop skills to solve problems, and develop the skills to communicate orally. The conclusions obtained from this study is that the use of the model of problem-based learning can improve learning outcomes of students. Thus, the application of learning model problem based learning in sub-theme energy and amendments can be used as an alternative method of learning to be applied in Elementary School.

Abstract

The background of this study is because the learning process that has not been maximized and students' learning achievement about simple fractions is still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the use of concrete object props can improve the learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students in mathematics subjects in simple fractions. The method in this study, using Classroom Action Research. Classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle has 4 stages. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaire, test, and attitude scale. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class III SD Islam Mutiara Hati, District of Antapani Tengah, Bandung. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that the use of concrete object props in simple fraction materials can improve student learning outcomes and activeness as well as students' responses to learning are quite positive.

Abstract

The research entitled Improving Students Writing Skill Through Hands On Activity Method In Class 3 SDN 1 Sukaraja Sukabumi was motivated by the decrease of children's ability in writing due to the lack of teacher's attention to students' writing ability. In addition, learning strategies used by teachers are still there weaknesses and shortcomings. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method by comparing the learning outcomes of children before and after treatment. This research was conducted at SDN 1Sukaraja in Sukabumi area. The result of this research is the increase of children writing ability as much as 73%. It can be said that Hands On Activity method can help improve the literacy ability of children especially in writing ability

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning of story problems with a scientific approach. Learning with a scientific approach is a learning process that is designed so that students actively construct concepts, laws or principles through stages of observing, formulating, proposing or formulating hypotheses on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 2 students of SDN 091 Cibeureum. This research is a type of qualitative research, with experiments. The population is all grade 2 students with a total of 32 students. A learning process has an important role in the success of a learning. To create meaningful mathematical learning, student activity is needed in constructing the concepts and structure of the material. Based on learning observations in class 2, the learning carried out was mechanistic. That is, the teacher dominates learning while students only receive the material delivered by the teacher. Learning like this results in students not actively constructing knowledge in the learning process, thus impacting on the low learning outcomes of students themselves. The scientific approach is very suitable for the problems found because it has referred to constructivist learning theory. Therefore, this study was carried out to describe the application of a scientific approach to mathematics learning with a type of classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were grade 2 students. This research was carried out in 2 cycles. The steps taken by the scientific approach are to observe, ask, collect information, reason, and communicate.

This research raises the problem of the low motivation and learning outcomes of science in the sixth grade students of SDN 257 Pelita, Kecamatan Lengkong, Bandung City. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) To find out the improvement of science learning motivation through the use of ICT-based learning media. (2) To determine the increase in science learning outcomes using ICT-based learning media This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart. The subjects of this study were 30 students. The results showed that. (1) the use of ICT-based learning media can improve learning motivation. This can be seen from the increase in the average student motivation increases. (2) The use of ICT-based learning media can improve learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average value of student learning outcomes increases with the results of the percentage of non-compliance increased.

Abstract

The development and characteristics of students in primary school age vary between students in the low class and high class. The learning process in the lower class of elementary schools has not been able to develop their cognitive skills in full, in contrast to the characteristics of students in the high class. In the classroom action research activities carried out in class II SD Negeri Sosial 1 Cimahi Elementary School this aims to improve the cognitive abilities of students through the application of contextual learning models. The use of contextual learning models applied refers to Jean Piaget's cognitive theory. The method used in this study is the Class Action Research method. The research sample was students of class IIB in SD Negeri Sosial 1 Cimahi City. The design of this study is through the stages of the learning cycle to find the final results of the study. The results of the study prove that the contextual learning model is suitable for learning in low-grade elementary schools.
