Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the performance of financial ratios to predict financial distress and bankrupty. Sample consist of 32 property and real estate industries which listed in The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2005 until 2012. Sample would be classified into Distress company group and Non Distress company group based on operating profit and economic rentability and each group will be evaluated  by Multivariat Discriminant Analysis. Independent variables consist of 7 financial ratios which are working capital to total asset, current asset to sales, current liabilities to total asset, market value of stock to book value of total debt, sales to total asset, retained earning to total asset and earning before interest and tax to total asset. The result of this research showed  that the financial ratios which can be a predictor of financial distress and bankrupty in property and real estate industries was earning before interest and tax to total asset. The result showed accurately prediction as much as 87,5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of leverage, liquidity and company performance on systematic risk of manufacturing companies. The population of this research is all manufacturing companies which listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period of 2008-2012. Sample was chosen by purposive sampling method, so the sample of this research is 60 companiy-year observations Analysis method is multiple regression. The result showed that leverage (debt ratio) and ikuidity (current ratio) had negative and not significant effect on systematic risk (beta) while company performance had negative and significant influence on systematic risk (beta).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze (1) the influence of leader member exchange on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci Supervisor (2) the influence of perceived organizational support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci Supervisor (3) the influence of leader member exchange on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci organizational (4) the influence of perceived organizational support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci organizational. The populations in this research are the employees of PT. Telekomunikasi Padang which consist of 128 employees. The samples were selected using Clustered Proportional Sampling which the total of the samples are 97 employees. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The data was analyzed using multiple reggression analysis. The result of this research shows (1) leader member exchange has a positive relationship on  Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci Supervisor (2) perceived organizational support has a positive relationship on  Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci Supervisor (3) leader member exchange has a positive relationship on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci organizational (4) perceived organizational support has a positive relationship on  Organizational Citizenship Behavior Foci organizational.Keywords: Organizational citizenship behavior foci supervisor (OCBS); perilaku kewarganegaraan organisasi foci organisasional (OCBO), pertukaran anggota pemimpin; dukungan organisasi persepsi

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) The effect of education on career development, (2) influence job performance to career development. This research was conducted at the Family Cooperative PT.Semen Padang (KKSP) and the population of this study was all employees of the Family Cooperative PT.Semen Padang numbered 65 people. The sampling technique of this study was stratified sampling technique that is commonly used when the population consists of array groups stratified, and then the number of samples is 56 employees. To obtain a valid and reliable instrument to test the validity and reliability testing. The primary data in this study were obtained from the distribution of questionnaires to the respondents, while secondary data is data associated with the object of the research presented by the Family Cooperative Big PT. Semen Padang. The data analysis technique used is multiple regressions with SPSS version 16.00. The results showed that: (1) there is no significant effect of education on career development, (2) there is a significant effect of job performance on career development. Based on the discussion and conclusions, it is advisable to pay attention to the leadership aspects of education and job performance in order to enhance the career development of employees Cooperative Family of PT.Semen Padang.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine whether the acquisitions made by PT. Phillip Moris Internationan for PT. HM Sampoerna gives value added to the financial performance of PT. HM Sampoerna. This research uses secondary data from PT. HM Sampoerna financial statement for 5 years prior to acquisition (2000 – 2004) and 5 years after acquisition (2006 – 2010). Financial statement in 2005 was not used because of the acquisition process conducted during the period. An analytical model used in this research is called the Economic Value Added (EVA). EVA is the value created by company activities during a specific period. There is a major drawback if we use financial ratio analysis as a measure of financial performance, namely ignoring the cost of capital, making it difficult to know whether the company has managed to create value added or not. The result also indicate that the acquisition by PT. Phillip Moris International for PT. HM Sampoerna providing value added to corporate value which is described by the increasing trend of EVA every years.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of word of mouth and advertising towards the customers decision to be customers of the Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Ulak Karang. The population in this study are all potential customers Bank Syariah Mandir KCP Ulak Karang. Total sample is 150 respondents. It is taken by using accidental sampling. Primary data was obtained by using a questionnaire, while the secondary data is derived from documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The hypothesis was analyzed with the t test on alpha 0.05. Testing analysis usedSPSS version 23.00. Findings from this study are: (1) there is significant effects between word of mouth toward the customers decision to be customers of the Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Ulak Karang with the percentage of the influence is 0.115 (2) there is significant influence between the advertising toward the customers decision to be customers of the Bank Syariah Mandiri KCP Ulak Karang with the percentage of the influence is 0.173.

Abstract

Invesment Activity of mutual fund is fund gathering from all investor and managed by invesment manager with forming portofolio. This research test related between past performance with the future performance of mutual fund with the test persistence. This research also test what there is consistency model at measurement of performance of mutual fund in Indonesia. There are three model used in measuring performance of mutual fund, that is Index Sharpe, index Treynor and index Jensen. Sampel in this research is all  of share fund. Mutual of share Fund selected because having compared to higher level return three other type mutual fund. Result of research shown in the Indonesia there are abnormal return at mutual fund. This  indicate that the invesment manager earn to predict of movement of price sekuritas so that can obtain abnormal return. There is related between past performance with the future performance. This matter explain that historical performance of mutual fund become the especial consideration of  investor in chosening mutual fund. There are not consistency among index Sharpe, index Treynor and index Jensen in measuring performance of mutual fund in Indonesia

Abstract

The aims of this research are to determine (a) the relationship between customer satisfaction to customer loyalty of Garuda Indonesia based on five dimensions of service quality, (b) the relationship between brand image to customer loyalty of Garuda Indonesia. This research is a causative research with 156 respondents of Garuda Indonesia Airways customer in West Sumatera. By using multiple regression analysis, this study found (1) customer satisfaction on the physical evidence has no significant impact on customer loyalty, (2) customer satisfaction on reliability has significant impact on customer loyalty (3) customer satisfaction on responsiveness  has no significant impact on customer loyalty (4) customer satisfaction on assurance has significant impact on customer loyalty, (5) customer satisfaction on empathy has no significant impact on customer loyalty, and (6) customer loyalty is influenced by brand image significantly. Garuda Indonesia Airways must be focused on the strategy how to maintain customer satisfaction on reliability, assurance and brand image. However, Garuda also take a look for  physical evidence, responsiveness and empathy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of psychological factors on Saving Decision on Bank Syariah in Padang State University. The variables used in this research are motivation, perception, learning, and Consumer Attitudes. The population in this study are Padang State University students who have never used the savings in one of the Islamic Bank in the city of Padang. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with 100 respondents. Analysis tool used is multiple linear regression analysis, using SPSS version 23. The results of this study indicate that: (1) motivation, perception, learning, and attitude significantly influence the Saving Decision on Bank Syariah in Padang State University. (2) Perception is the most dominant factor in influencing Saving Decision.

Abstract

The main need of this research is to see the effect of the quality of electronic services (E-S-Qual) on customer loyalty using the online transportation application (Gojek) in the city of Padang. This type of research is causally comparative. This research was conducted in the city of Padang. While the research time was conducted in 2018. The population focused in this study were people who lived in the city of Padang and used the Gojek application with a sample of 160 people taken by purposive sampling. Data is processed using multiple linear regression method and data obtained from questionnaire results. From the results obtained from this study indicate that all dimensions of electronic service quality (E-S-Qual) have a direct relationship with customer loyalty at α = 0.05Keywords: E-S-qual; efficiency; system availability; fulfillment; privacy; customer loyalty
