Jurnal Sendratasik diterbitkan 4 (empat) kali pada bulan S Maret, Juni, September, dan December denganmemuat artikel / artikel penelitian di bidang musik, tari, dan drama serta pembelajarannya. Memuat teks yang dihasilkan oleh kelompok penyunting, naskah yang digunakan adalah naskah yang lolos dan tidak pernah / tidak akan pindah ke jurnal lain. Jurnal Sendratasik menerima naskah yang memberikan wawasan tentang isu-isu terkini, dan terutama berhubungan dengan studi Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya(Seni Drama, Tari dan Musik) dengan menyebar luaskan pengetahuan di bidang-bidang yang muncul dan berkembang. Hasil riset, terdiri dari laporan ilmiah yang meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang seni secara umum, seni pertunjukan, dan pendidikan seni. Baik dalam bentuk artikel yang melaporkan hasil studi penelitian kuantitatif atau kualitatif. Artikel secara konseptual harus relevan untuk memajukan Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya, menyajikan teori tentang seni, model, posisi filosofis, dll. Artikel juga dapat mengacu pada teori-teori ataupun materi- materi yang dikembangkan dalam praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Bahasa naskah yang dikirimkan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Harus membahas tentang masalah serta kontribusi baru yang signifikan untuk bidang praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Artikel dapat berasal dari salah satu bidang berikut: - Drama - Tari - Musik dan / atau Musik Tradisional - dan Pembelajarannya

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aimed at figuring out and describing the performance form of the Saputangan dance in Bedindang at the ceremony of Bimbang Adat at Kota Manna Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan. The design of the research was descriptive qualitative research. The object of the research was the Saputangan dance in Bedindang at the ceremony of  Bimbang Adat at Kota Manna Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan. Data were obtained from the library study, observation, interview, and documentation. From the data analysis, it was found that the function of the Saputangan dance in the ceremony was as an entertainment and the performance form of the dance was dramatic. The performance of the dance included the components of series of movements, the floor design, the dancer, the music, make up and costumes, properties, the time and the place of performance. Abstract

Abstract People could not evade problems when they were doing their daily life routines. These problems made them feel sad, confused and depressed which later led them to what is called as Melancholia. This melancholic feeling surely interrupted them in doing their routines so that it was difficult for them to obtain their life goals. This melancholia phenomenon was then transferred into a music composition. The melancholic feeling would be best felt through a masterpiece of music. It was hoped that by listening to it, people would feel how it was to be melancholic. Kata kunci : Melankolia

Abstract

Abstract This article explained about the existence of Kuda Lumping art in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang Kenagarian Tanjung Gadang Kecamatan Lareh Sago Halaban. The existence of Kuda Lumping art could be seen from the people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang who were closely related to Kuda Lumping art especially in the great days celebrations such as in Idul Fitri. For people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang, Kuda Lumping art had been deeply rooted and had become their need. Kuda Lumping art told people about a knight riding a horse who was a hero in Javanese Kingdom, and nowadays he was still memorized by Minangkabau people in Alang Lawas Jorong Parak Lubang. This art was still performed in Idul Fitri celebration every year. Furthermore, the existence of Kuda Lumping art could be seen from its functions in society such as for entertaining, integrating the society and for aesthetics presentation. Abstract

Abstract Purpose of this research is to conduct cooperative learning method that is STAD to increase students` activities and students` learning outcomes in dance and art learning at Junior High School number 3 Bukittinggi (SMP Negeri 3 Bukittinggi). This research is kind of quantitative research using experimental technique. Instruments of this research are observation sheets of learning process and essay test. The data is analyzed by using t-test in order to see the differences between two groups. The result of the research shows that by using STAD cooperative learning method, students` activities and students` learning outcomes in dance and art learning are increased. In the pre data before the experiment, mean of second semester mid-term test in 2013/2014 period of teaching is 74,19. The mean in experimental group after STAD cooperative learning applied is 83,39, comparing to the mean in control group is 75,83. Abstract

Abstract Tauh is one of  traditional art in the form of musical essembly because it has three main elements: musical instruments, singers,and dancers. Tauh is originated from Lempur Tengah, Kerinci District which is usually perfomed in harvesting party. This study was aimed at finding and describing the function and use of Tauh in harvesting party of Lempur Tengah people. The method of this study was qualitative one. The data were collected through: 1) library study, 2) observation, 3) interview, 4)documentation. The data analysis wa classified based on the focus of the study after being separated and arranged systematically. The result showed that Tauh was previously used by the king as part of harvesting rituals, and to welcome the king’s guests. This traditional art was still practiced by Lempur Tengah people until now in their harvesting party. It was used as the sign of success of the party. Along with it develoment, Tauh was also used in welcoming important guests, participatingin festival, or as the represetativeof traditional art from Kerinci in any events in province level. Therefore, Tauh has several functions for Lempur Tengah people: (1) emotional reaction function, (2) entertainment function, (3) communication function, (4) physical reaction function, (5) social integrity function, (6) social institution legalization function. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this article is to discuss the management of art exhibition of Sanggar Satampang Baniah in Padan. This was a qualitive study which employed descriptive method. The instrument of this study was the researcher herself, who conducted field observation which was supported by camera, writing  materials, and tape recorder. The data were analyzed based on the following steps: collexting the data, reduction, presenting, and making conclusion. The result of the study revealed that sanggar Satampang Baniahh used open management, production management, and marketing management in its activities. These three types of management are based on the context of the managemenet of art exhibition. Keywords: management, performing arts, studio.

Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed conducting an extracurricular activity with a new method, so it can trigger students to participate in this activity. This a a qualitative study with descriptive-analysis method. It was intended to describe the implementation of guitar extracurricular activity at SMPN 8 Padang. The data were collected through observation, interview, documentation, and library study. The result revealed that guitar extracurricular activity at SMPN 8 Padang was carried out by using video lessons media in order to improve students’ creativity in playing musical instrument.Thus, it can be concluded that (1) its guitar curricular activity ran well, but needs some improvement; (2) video lessons media was expected to be able to motivate student to participate n this activity; (3) student can play simple song by using guitar either individually or in grup; (4) student were able to express and perform their ability in school activities; (5) student could get good achievement in many music competitions. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aimed at figuring out and describing that the Nugal dance was a creation dance made by using the choreography approach. The desigh of this research was descriptive qualitative research. The object of the research was the Nugal dance at Desa Tanjung Kupang Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Empat Lawang. Data were obtained from the library study, observation, interview, and documentation. It was found that there were elements of choreography in the Nugal dance. They were the dancers, the movements, the top and floor designs, the group compositions, the costumes, the dance accompaniments, and the ideas and settings of the dance as well as the dance patterns which were seen from the movements and the expressions of the dancers. As a result, the creator of the dance made the dance by using the choreography planning because the dance derived from the farming activities of the society which was also known as Nugal. The dance idea started from the traditional dance called the Kekok dance. New movements were then created into a new form of dance.   Keywords   :  Choreography, and the Nugal Dance.

Abstract

Abstract The cultural phenomenon of extracting the essence of sugar palms at Simalanggang Limapuluh Kota could not be separated from daily life of socienty at Simalanggang. The phenomenon referred to astructural sistem wich reflected the people’s way of thinking since it was created and developed by people themselves. This cultural was actually created in order to fulfill their needs. The cultural phenomenon was then tranferred into an idea of makin komposition about how people conducted the cultural of extracting the essence of sugar palm. However, it was not the process extracting that was tranferred. It was values of togetherness, considerateness, cooperation, and appreciation that were described into sounds. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aimed at describing the choreography of the Mapak dance at Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Empat Lawang Sumatera Selatan. The design of this research was descriptive qualitative research. Data were obtained from the library study, observantion, and interview. From the data analysis, it was found that the Mapak dance was performed as a welcoming dance for important guests who came to Kabupaten Empat Lawang and a veil was given to the guests at the end of the dance. There were six kinds of move included in this dance. They were the meaningful movements which included the entrance moves, the greeting moves, and the inviting moves and the pure movements which included the ngunjak moves, the honoring moves and the resting move. The flooring design dominantly used the straight line. The top designs included the deep, angular, conceited, medium and low designs. The accompaniment music was the external music. The one climax  dramatic design used was the singular cone. The big group was composed by using the united and the equilibrate designs. The costumes worn for dancing were baju kurung, songket, and its accessories. The makeup used beautiful. The theme of the activity was welcoming the guests and the dance was performed at an open yard. Keywords : Choreography, the Mapak dance at Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Empat Lawang Sumatera Selatan
