The success of this study is seen from two criteria, namely from the observation sheet after applying video utilization and from the increasing results of narrative writing skills. The study results obtained from the use of video are to make students active in finding information and making writing and skilled at developing and utilizing their own knowledge. It is hoped that the improvement in the skills to write narration will be clearly seen in the initial cycle and increase in cycle 2 (Two). This can be seen from the initial percentage. Students who are not yet skilled or not enthusiastic/interested in writing narration by 49%, then the percentage of results in the first cycle (second meeting) is 40% and at the end of the second cycle, (third meeting) students who are not interested write only 11%. Overall at the end of the second cycle all aspects and criteria for narrative writing experienced a significant increase.

Abstract

The acceleration of 4.0 industrial revolution caused the development of digital era developed rapidly, therefore, learning resources can be accessed everwhere and everytime. Since the learning sources are easy to find,  the teachers are required to change the learning pattern into a learning facilitator that the focus is to give the appropriate learning resources for students based on their needs. According to the results of the interviews, there is a learning problem shows that the student learning outcomes in the excretion system material for class VIII SMP in SMPN 1 Taman Sidoarjo is still low. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a mobile learning media material excretion system that is feasibly and effectively used by students of VIII graders at SMPN 1 Taman Sidoarjo. The development model used is R&D Models from Walter Dick and Lou Carey. The data collection methods used were from questionnaire and test. Based on the trial results and data analysis, there are several conclusions, the results of the feasibility test of mobile learning media from the experts of material and media obtained a very good category. The individual trial obtained an excellent category, which is 90%, the percentgage of small group trials  is 90% and categorized as excellent, whereas the percentahe of the field trials is 89% and included in the excellent category. It can be concluded that the mobile learning media is suitable to use in the learning process. While the t-test with db = N - 1 = 33 - 1 = 32 and a significant level is 5%. Then the value of t table = 2.037 and tcount is 5.49. T arithmetic <t table (5.49> 2,037), therefore, the headway of media has been effective in improving student learning outcomes in class X of SMAN 1 Taman Sidoarjo on excretion system material.

Abstract

This thesis presents about education concept of Paulo Freire about the education which are critical, humanist, and free. This education concept is Freire's opinion towards traditional education practice. Paulo Freire sees that education reality is an oppression reality. That is reflected in two things in the in education praxis; first, hegemony in education, which is a relation between teacher and student that is not based on humanity relation, but between a sovereign and subordinate. Teacher becomes the dominant subject in the relationship and the student is just an object. Whereas, both teacher and student are the learning subject. Second, education in bank style. Education in this model places student as an empty bottle that must be filled by the teacher. Seeing that condition, Freire proposes different concept and school praxis. That is critical education, humanist, and independence as the writer says in this thesis. The result of that education process will create a mindful human being. Freire calls it consientization. This thesis will also examine the coherence with education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The post-millennial generation or currently known as the Z generation, is a generation born in the 2000s, a future generation born in the Internet era. These post-millennial generations don't like rigid rules, tend to think creatively and openly and are very easy to comment. An important point in dealing with the post-millennial generation by giving special directions for understanding ethics in social life. In the learning process, the post-millennial generation has visual characteristics, tries and sees the results of the process, wants the teacher as a facilitator, learning starts with "how", and is very easy to get information / knowledge. This is a challenge in determining the right learning strategy for them. Flipped Classroom learning strategy is a strategy designed by the teacher in preparing for learning before face to face in class / at home through learning videos then reflecting on the results of learning in the classroom with discussion and work on assignments (The Flipped Learning Network, 2014). Flipped classrooms require careful preparation so that learning videos that are made interesting, high quality, and can be understood by students without face to face. While students, on the other hand, must have access to an internet connection. With the problem based learning method it is expected that students/ vocational high school (SMK) students will be able to create something different to produce rewards in the form of money as well as personal satisfaction and freedom (Drucker, 1999). In entrepreneurship, students must understand the importance of maintaining health by maintaining and protecting food hygiene, through controlling environmental factors that can or may cause illness and health problems.
