Abstract

The processing and utilization program of banana in the village of Bulakan is motivated by the efforts to restore the family's economy after the Sunda Strait tsunami disaster. One of the great potentials that has not been well utilized for economic purposes in the village of Bulakan is banana. The solution offered is the processing and utilization of bananas to be processed products. The purpose of this program is to provide both knowledge and skills to the people of Bulakan Village in processing bananas into crunchy chocolate bananas so that the management of processed banana products becomes a good and sustainable management system as well as improving the economy. The method used to overcome these problems through the problem identification, socialization, training in the cultivation of bananas, marketing, reflection and evaluation. The program was carried out in July 2019 in Bulakan Village, Cinangka District, Serang Regency, Banten. An important change in society is changing the community paradigm from selling bananas directly to processing bananas into crunchy chocolate banana products.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to give an education and training for public about the detection of borax content in foods. Borax can be detected in street foods by a special reagent containing turmeric or red onion extract. The partner of this activity is Kelompok Wanita Tani Anggrek from Desa Cangkarman, Kecamatan Konang, Kabupaten Bangkalan. This coaching consists of lecture, discussion, and workshop about borax content in sample foods. Borax can be detected by jabbing a toothpick that had been soaked in a special reagent into a sample food. The result of this activity is the partner can find out how to detect a borax content in street food around them with cheap and simple method.

Abstract

The teacher realizes that learning requires students to be active in building their knowledge, and the teacher acts more as a facilitator and motivator. As a facilitator and motivator in learning activities, teachers are required to always improve their ability to prepare, implement and evaluate learning. The low ability of teachers to develop contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach, even not infrequently the teachers feel they have not understood it to be one of the obstacles faced by teachers in improving the quality of learning. This training activity aims to provide knowledge about contextual learning, scientific approaches and the development of teaching materials, and conduct discussions and mentoring the development of contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach to the teachers of SMPN 33 Solok Selatan. The activities carried out consisted of, (1) Providing knowledge about: (a). Contextual learning, (b) Scientific approach, (c) Development of teaching materials, (2) Guiding teachers for the manufacture of contextual teaching materials (LKPD / LKS) based on a scientific approach. The instrument used was a test of understanding of the material and questionnaire responses of trainees. The data analysis technique used is paired t test and percentage analysis. Based on the analysis of the results of the evaluation conducted it can be concluded, the training carried out has been able to improve the competence of teachers in developing contextual teaching materials based on a scientific approach, the training material provided can increase teacher competencies in developing teaching materials

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to (1) provide insights and knowledge of elementary / MI teachers in Kedungbanteng Tanggulangin the importance of the school literacy movement program to increase student literacy in schools, (2) SD / MI in Kedungbanteng Tanggulangin in order to have a literacy school program, (3) increase the mastery of teachers in the use of facilities and infrastructure as a support in the implementation of school literacy programs. The method used to solve these problems is through training and mentoring activities. From community service activities titled training and mentoring for the preparation of elementary / MI literacy school programs in Kedungbanteng Tanggulangin Sidoarjo shows that the activities are going well and smoothly. The achieved outcome is that the school has a literacy school program. The results of training and mentoring on the material presented can add insight and knowledge about the literacy school program as much as 72.2% strongly agree and 27.8% agree. The material presented is able to guide teachers to be able to compile a literacy school program of 55.6% strongly agree and 44.4% agree. the assistance provided can assist teachers in implementing the literacy school program that has been prepared as many as 66.7% stated agree and 33.3% stated strongly agree.

Abstract

Researchers chose these two elementary schools as partners because they found similar problems between one primary school and another primary school. The problems found were the ability of teachers at SDN Sidorejo I and SDN Kebonsari III in the knowledge of technology-based learning media is still low and the utilization of technology facilities for teachers at SDN Sidorejo I and SDN Kebonsari III to support the content of teaching materials to improve the quality of teaching and learning process is still low low. The method of implementing this training was carried out with several steps of activities, namely (1) The initial activity began with the introduction of the Ispring Presenter learning media and demonstrations. The next activity was to provide mentoring twice. Assistance is carried out with guidance and practice methods; (2) The next activity is each teacher presenting how to operate various forms of interactive and innovative questions that have been made according to the subjects being taught. The existence of this training can improve the ability of teachers in mastering material about Ispring Presenter and its use which shows an average value of 93.85 for SDN Sidorejo I and by 90.90 in SDN Kebonsari III. The teacher's response to the training in making instructional media using Ispring Presenter from four indicators shows a positive response.

Abstract

Sayang Village in Jatinangor Subdistrict is one of the villages whose agricultural products produce tuber variants, one of which is sweet potato. The processing agricultural products into culinary products is one of the factors that can help improve the community's economy. In addition to processing ingredients into food variants that have been known, modification of these types of preparations is quite important to maintain the selling power of these products. This PPM activity aims to introduce modifications to the variation of processed sweet potatoes that have been carried out by the people in Japan as well as to introduce ways of food marketing. This activity is conducted through the method of observation in the field with the technique of tapping records and the method of plunging directly into the field through direct practice (education and socialization) of making food. The theory used to study this problem comes from Setiawan Sabana (2001). Conditions in the field show that the community, especially women, consisting of mothers and young children, shows a high interest in the creation of new foods and education on the marketing of these products.

Abstract

The process of processing taro into chips in Balesari Village, Magelang Regency has so far still carried out manually with simple tools and small capacity, so the results achieved still not quite to meet expectations. This purpose of this dedication is to make a taro chopper machine that can help workers process taro into chips quickly. The methods are a site survey, making taro chopper machine, handover of equipment to partners, training in operation and maintenance of the machine. The object is the craftsman of taro chips "Ibu Anik", Balesari Village, Magelang Regency. Tools and materials used are iron, plates, chopper blades, welding machines, lathes, saws pulleys, belts, paints, and electric motors. The results of dedication show that after the existence of taro chopper machines, it is able to increase partner production by 9x, faster.

Abstract

Corona virus or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. This disease caused by a viral infection is called COVID-19. Corona virus can cause disorders of the respiratory system, acute pneumonia, until death. Personal hygiene especially washing hands is the easiest and most effective way to prevent the spread of the covid virus 19. However, people's awareness of getting used to washing hands is still very low, this can be caused by several things including the unavailability of a hand washing area or far from crowds. Covid 19 case monitoring data for Tegal City as of 30 July 2020 ie 270 People in Monitoring (ODP) with all completed monitoring status, for 50 Patients Under Monitoring (PDP) with details of 39 returning and 11 dead, while for confirmed cases Covid 19 for Tegal City residents as many as 4 people. The main target of community service activities is the residents of Tegal City, especially in the West Tegal and Debong Region. The method used in this activity is by providing assistance in the form of a place to do hand washing and basic food provided to the community where in its distribution cooperates with the Debong Health Center and the West Tegal Health Center. Community service activities in a preventive effort to cut the covid 19 distribution chain through the provision of hand washing facilities and distribution of groceries to the community in the Districts of West Tegal and Debong carried out in 2 days namely distribution to the District of Debong on May 8 2020, and for the region West Tegal District on May 9, 2020. The distribution of handwashing and groceries conducted in collaboration with local health centers namely West Tegal Health Center and Debong Health Center, this collaboration activity is intended so that our community service team does not directly face to face and meet with many people in an effort we are to prevent the crowd and in an effort to prevent the spread of the covid virus 19

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has become a global pandemic that has claimed many lives. The Covid-19 virus is worrying because it is transmitted very quickly and everyone is at risk of contracting it. In Indonesia, Covid-19 has seen more than 141,000 positive cases. The Corona or Covid-19 virus which is increasingly prevalent in a number of countries, now everyone is required to start increasing stamina, including health workers because health workers are at the forefront of handling positive patients with corona virus or Covid-19 infections. What is very important is that health workers must be healthy to ensure that they can be fulfilled so that the immune system remains stable and healthy to deal with corona patients who are currently in a pandemic, so that dangerous viruses do not easily attack. The risk of contracting the Covid 19 disease for health workers is very large, even many cases where health workers have died in handling cases of Covid-19 disease. The aim of this service is to improve the quality of health workers specifically to handle Covid-19, increase immunity by consuming vitamin C and honey during the Covid-19 Pandemic at RSUD Kardinah, Tegal City. Service method by providing honey and vitamins to health workers who handle Covid-19 at the Kardinah Hospital, Tegal City. Community service activities in the form of giving honey, vitamin C and isotonic drinks for the immune system of health workers handling Covid-19 patients at Kardinah Hospital in Tegal City were received by the Director of Kardinah Hospital, Tegal City, namely Dr. Heri Susanto, Sp.A. This activity was held on 18-19 May 2020.

Abstract

The high price of chemical fish feed is a serious problem for “Tani Manise" group partners in Sari Rejo village, Medan Polonia sub-district. The reality in the field shows that the presence of golden snail (Pomace sp) in partner locations has not been utilized properly as raw material for organic feed for gurame fish (Osphronemus gouramy). The purpose of this community partnership program (PKM) activity is to assist partners in problems solving faced with the use of the golden snail as organic feed for gurame fish which has economic value and contains good nutrition. To solve the problems faced by partners, an approach is used with planning methods, training and mentoring. The results of PKM activities show that giving organic feed made from golden snail flour can accelerate the growth of gurame fish from the previous 25.0 g / month to 33.3 g / month. There is an increase in growth of about 8.3 grams per month. The high cost of feed can be reduced to 9,000 / kg using organic feed, while the chemical based fish feed is in the range of 13,000 / kg. The implementation of PKM activities can reduce high production costs, accelerate the growth of gurame fish, and the ability of partner human resources in processing raw material for golden snail pests into organic feed containing good nutrition.
