BERDAYA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Lembaga Pengembangan Manajemen dan Publikasi Imperium (Imperium Research Institute). The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. BERDAYA contains various activities of the teaching staff in Indonesia in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Focus and Scope BERDAYA, particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows: Community Services, People, Local Food Security; Training, Marketing, Appropriate Technology, Design; Community Empowerment, Social Access; Student Community Services;Border Region, Less Developed Region; Education for Sustainable Development.

Abstract

Community service has been carried out by analyzing the situation of partners who do not get used to doing financial bookkeeping, how to serve food is still not arranged to attract consumers, the cooking area and guest room are not neat and less clean, also how to offer food to consumers that are still not friendly. For this reason, service partners are provided with food stalls by helping them to develop their food stalls. The activities carried out are providing knowledge about bookkeeping, financial management with theory and practice, marketing management, and entrepreneurship. Dining and dining room settings kitchen so that it looks clean and organized. The output of this service is so that the shop owner is more skilled in managing the rice shop business and it is hoped that knowing the above knowledge will be more developed and become the goal of consumers to eat at the rice shop. After training partners get financial knowledge, partners can do bookkeeping every day so that they can design their business development. Marketing and entrepreneurship knowledge can support the success of current and future rice food stalls and in the end, the development of rice stalls will improve the partners' lives and economies. Abstract

This activity aims to increase the understanding and knowledge of mathematics teachers in making creative thinking questions to develop student's HOTS. So that the teacher as the frontline in education is able to develop a student’s creative thinking skills in learning and assessment of mathematics. The method used in this activity is in the form of a short training in making creative thinking questions to develop student’s HOTS. Participants are given training in the form of presentations, demonstrations about creative thinking, and discussions. Participants in the activity are teachers who are members of Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Mathematics of Junior High School in Kabupaten Banjar engaged very well and enthusiastically during the activity. Abstract

The knowledge about the development of potential products in the tourism village is considered important for every tourism businessmwoman/man because every tourism village in Indonesia has its own potential that if handled properly will be able to become a flagship product. Training of Trainers aims to enhance the understanding and knowledge of academicians who will be mentors in tourist village. This activity was held for 3 days at Santika Premium Dyandra Hotel and Covention Center, Medan City, North Sumatera and followed by 12 offline participants and 3 participants online. The participant consists of academicians from various public and private universities in North Sumatera, West Sumatera, Riau, Riau Islands and Aceh. Training results in the form of increased understanding of participants proved by the result of questionnaire given after the training. 100% (15 participants) stated that this material is very useful for anyone who is involved in tourist villages, although 93% of them (14 participants) feel this material is already common (from further interviews, it is known that most of them have taught courses in marketing). A total of 80% of the participants (i.e. 12 people) stated that the materials provided can be implemented in the tourism village, while 20% (3 participants) believe that the implementation still has many challenges due to the limited soft capacity of the people. Although all participants are satisfied with the material provided, there are 60% (9 participants) who believes that the material will need to be adjusted when used tot rain the people in a tourist village, where there is limited education that may cause this marketing material will not be easily understood by business owners in tourism village. Their input is to give some product examples to show which product presentation that is already good and which product still needs to be repaired. Abstract

Home industry "Mother Arum" is a home industry in the area of ​​Bojonegoro salak wedi agrotourism and produces a variety of preparations from salak fruit such as date palm, madumongso salak, dodol salak, molen salak, and coffee zalacca seeds. Organic waste in the form of zalacca skin which is the residual consumption of zalacca or the rest of zalacca processing for other food products that are currently produced in this home industry and the local community is very abundant. Phytochemical test results showed the skin of zalacca contains flavonoids and tannins and a little alkaloid. The content of flavonoids in zalacca skin extract can reduce glucose levels in the blood. The ethanol extract of zalacca skin contains secondary metabolites of alkaloids, polyphenolates, flavonoids, 1mbien, quinones, monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes. Based on the value of antioxidant capacity and IC50, zalacca skin extract has great potential to be marketed as a food product as an antioxidant drink that is good for health, but also as an effort to use zalacca skin so that it has economic value. The solution to this problem is to process wedi zalacca skin into a processed product in the form of zalacca tea and make its marketing strategy online or offline. The proposed activity plan is the training of salak skin production in the "Mother of Arum" home industry and the creation of a marketing strategy. This is expected to be able to provide knowledge, skills and increase competitiveness in the form of product diversification in the "Mother of Arum" home industry. Abstract

This community services program aims tofacilitate tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in improving English language skills and the ability to guide tours in Panji Village and increase the tourist attraction in Panji Village by helping the tourism awareness group in making tour packages in the form of brochures. In the current pandemic conditions, tourism in Bali is experiencing a decline in the level of visits due to social restrictions imposed by the Government. Therefore, in order to revive the enthusiasm of tour guides, especially in Panji Village, this training is expected to be able to improve the quality of human resources to be better in preparing for the new normal era. The participatory approach method was used where the participants will later be actively involved in this service activity. This program was implemented succesfully, the participants were very cooperative and active in delivering the material.The results of this program had a positive impact on the participants. It is hoped that in the next, this program can continue to be implemented to monitor the development of English language skills of the participants. Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and increase community participation in preventing the spread of COVID-19. The method used in this community service activity is carried out in two ways, namely 1) direct socialization to the community to use masks properly, live a healthy lifestyle and exercise 2) indirectly through social media of the local community. Socialization activities were carried out to the community of Lamgugob Village, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City. The results obtained from this community service activity are that the people of Lamgugop Village have sufficient knowledge and that the level of participation is quite high in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Abstract

Clean and healthy behavior (CHB) is one of the activities to change unhealthy behaviors into healthy ones. PHBS should be applied early, especially in school-age children by getting a healthy breakfast and washing hands. The benefits of breakfast include being a source of energy so as to prevent students from consuming unhealthy snacks, besides washing hands before or after the activity is also an important thing that needs to be accustomed early on. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' knowledge about PHBS through healthy breakfast education and good hand washing. The method used in this activity is education through powerpoint and poster media. This activity was attended by 6th grade students at SDN 1 Ciawi and SDN 2 Ciawi in Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, with a total number of 80 students. Before and after the delivery of material students are given questions to see the level of success of this activity. Based on the results of the evaluation showed that an increase in student knowledge is expected to be able to increase students' understanding of healthy breakfast and good hand washing

Abstract

Packaging, labels, and brands are one of the main attractions for products to increase sales. Community Service Activities are carried out in Cikeusal Subdistrict, Serang Regency, with the target of being business actors producing chips in Sukaratu Village, Cikesal District, Serang Regency. Community Service Activities are carried out with the aim of providing an understanding of the emping-producing citizens regarding the importance of packaging, labeling and branding on a product that can increase sales levels and will automatically increase their economic income. The socialization was adjusted to the problems and needs faced by emping entrepreneurs in Cikeusal District. The method of implementing the activity consists of three stages. The first stage of preparation includes pre-survey, team formation and coordination of teams and participants as well as preparation of training tools and materials. The second stage is the program implementation stage in the form of socialization. Socialization is carried out through outreach (presentation of material) and discussion. The third stage is the evaluation and reporting stage. Evaluation is carried out by comparing the conditions of the participants before and after the program implementation with the interview and observation methods. After that, a report was prepared. The material presented in the socialization was regarding the form of a legal entity and its important function of having a business license and business licensing mechanism. All stages of this activity have reached 100% implementation and have resulted in outcomes including understanding of community service participants about the importance of packaging, labeling and branding on a product.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the capacity of partners in managing the swallow's nest beverage business. The increased capacity is awareness of food safety in the production process, ability in online marketing and the ability to calculate the selling price accurately. This capacity building is aimed at increasing business income. The methods used range from counseling, training, capital assistance to mentoring. Counseling and training were carried out classically by discussion and practice. Capital assistance is provided to help implement the results of outreach and training. Assistance is carried out to assist partners in dealing with difficulties in implementing the results of outreach and training. The partner in this activity is Mrs. Sri Wahyuni, who has a bird's nest drink business since 2019.
