Abstract

Based on the fact in the field that the students learning outcomes using a variety of lecturing methods on social science learning process are not yet completely successful. The aim of this research is to know the students learning outcomes comparison between role-playing method and lecturing methods on the social science learning process of first-grade students of junior high school 2 Jakenan Pati. The result of this study shows that there is significant differentiation in students learning outcomes in the experimental group compared control group. The effective observation result is on 16,58 range score which means being in a medium category and the control group is on 16,26 range score which means in a medium category too. Based on t-test results, the deviation score between the learning outcomes on the experimental group and control group is 3,249, a score of thing > t-table (3,249>2,397). The experimental group got increasing learning outcomes to range on 22,76 and 10,69 for the control group.

Abstract

Coastal societies are defined as the unity of collective social people living in coastal areas. Coastal societies are still very thick with their culture. As time goes by, the times are growing so that lead to the development of new cultures, including the new culture in coastal societies. The attitudes of the coastal societies towards the new culture are to accept the new culture, but the coastal societies also reject new cultures that are deemed incompatible with the culture that already exist in coastal societies. The social skills of coastal societies towards a new culture are to keep upholding existing cultural values. So that, even though a new culture develops in coastal societies, coastal communities still keep upholding existing cultural values inherited from generation to generation. Ayah District is one of the districts in Kebumen Regency. Ayah District is one of the districts whose southernmost border is the Indian Ocean. So that, some of the people in Ayah District are coastal societies. Ayah culture is very diverse, ranging from language, knowledge systems, social organizations, living equipment systems and technology, living systems, religious systems and arts are still very thick with old culture. As time goes by, the times are growing so that lead to the development of new cultures, including the new culture of coastal societies in Ayah District. The purpose of this study was to find out how the attitudes and social skills of coastal societies in the Ayah District towards the existence of a new culture that is increasingly developing. The research method applied in this study is a qualitative method. The source of data in this study is the coastal society of the Ayah District considered and trusted to know the problem to be studied. Informants in this research are Village Heads, Community Leaders and Fishermen. Data collection techniques applied by using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis applied was interactive model analysis.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out how the inheritance process and the role of families and society in inheriting the alms earth values to the young generations in Taban. In addition, this study is aimed to find out the obstacles in the process of inheriting the alms earth values to the young generations. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data selection sources through purposive and snowball. The results of this study showed that the process of inheriting alms earth values was carried out through education done by families and society namely imitation, socialization, and enculturation. The inheritance process requires the contribution of facilities through formal education like schools and non-formal education like family, peers, local government, and society. The obstacles in inheriting process are the negative impacts of globalization, like the presence of new cultures, the viewpoint of young generations that the noble values are not suitable with modern life, and the degradation tendency of the young generations affiliation to local culture.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum in learning one emphasizes the importance of literacy skills with the existence of the school literacy movement. The literacy movement at SMPN 2 Banyubiru has been running but has not been implemented optimally, especially at the learning stage and is still at the development stage. The research method used is a qualitative method, because it is to find out the activities and implementation of literacy in learning Social Sciences. The results showed: 1) Social literacy-based learning model used is a problem-based learning model and its implementation in the classroom requires the role of teachers and students, 2) There are obstacles faced by teachers in the planning, implementation and evaluation stages, 3) Learning outcomes students have differences after attending literacy-based social studies learning, whether those grades have increased or still remain the same.

Abstract

MTs Muhammadiyah Srumbung is a school with strong Islamic teachings. Character education is delivered through two stages, namely the classroom culture and the culture of the school environment. This article aims to 1) Know the implementation of character education in social studies learning, 2) Know the students' responses to the implementation of character education in social studies learning, 3) Know the inhibiting and supporting factors for the implementation of character education in social studies learning. The results of the study found that 1) Implementation of character education in social studies learning through classroom culture and school environment. Class culture goes through the planning, learning, and evaluation process, while school culture is through habituation and extracurricular activities in schools, 2) The response of students to the implementation of character education is positive, 3) The inhibiting and supporting factors are school (teachers and students), parents and the environment.

Abstract

The birth of the 2013 curriculum requires an increase in the thinking skills of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Treffinger learning model on HOTS in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Gombong. The method used in this research is quantitative. The results of this study are (1) The implementation of learning using the Treffinger learning model at SMP N 1 Gombong consists of three stages, namely basic tools, practice with processes, and working with the real problems. The learning model (2) Treffinger has an effect that increases the HOTS of students at social studies learning. This is known from the value of sig. = 0.000 <0.05 with t_hitung = -13.763. HOTS using the Treffinger learning model has a higher effect than learning using the conventional learning model. (3) There are obstacles in learning using the Treffinger learning model, namely differences in the abilities of each student in readiness to receive the material given.

Abstract

SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga is one of the schools that has illustrated diversity, in terms of religion, ethnicity, socio-economy, and gender/gender. This article aims to 1) explain the strengthening of tolerance behavior in social studies learning at SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga. 2) Knowing the driving and inhibiting factors in strengthening tolerance behavior in social studies learning at SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga. The results of this study found that 1) Strengthening can be carried out in the planning stage through integrating the RPP; Implementation through a number of stimuli so that students become accustomed (response) to tolerant behavior (initial, core, and closing; Evaluation in the form of journals that have been made by the teacher. God, humble, good role model, loving others, wise, soft-hearted and enthusiastic and determined. 2) The driving factors include the school environment, learning materials, learning methods, awareness, and frequency, while the inhibiting factors are teachers lack of training, poor conditions. suspect, supervision, and facilities/infrastructure.

Abstract

The competency possessed by the teacher affects the attention of students in participating in the learning process which will produce student learning outcomes. This type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The results of this study are the relationship between students' perceptions of teacher pedagogical competence with the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of social studies at SM Ma'arif NU 01 Pekuncen, Banyumas Regency, Academic Year 218/2019 there is a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. This is evidenced by the obtained correlation value of the two variables is 0.943 with a significance of 0.000 and the student's perception variable about teacher pedagogical competence is related to the learning outcome variable by 88.9%.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 31 Semarang is one of the schools that implements an inclusive education system, an education system that requires all children with disabilities to be served at the nearest school and in regular classes with their peers. Social studies subjects are one of the subjects that affect children with special needs in inclusive classes because they can help develop the potential of students to be sensitive and responsive to their environment. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that (1) The social studies learning process in the inclusion class includes planning, implementation and evaluation according to the needs and conditions of children with special needs in each inclusive class. 2) Problems encountered by social studies teachers in implementing the learning process in the inclusive class at SMP Negeri 31 Semarang: Social studies teachers do not have special abilities in dealing with children with special needs, and there is only one special tutor available. (3) Efforts in solving problems in the form of providing motivation and constructive messages for students and relying on special supervisors.

Abstract

Free sex and drug use are deviant behaviors that are often carried out by teenagers. Warureja Subdistrict is a place where, based on data from the P3A2P and KB Office, it is the area with the highest rates of free sex and drug use. The research method used is the mixed methods approach, namely by combining two forms of approach in research, namely qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study are: (1) The Role of Planning Generation in minimizing adolescent social deviation in Warureja District is included in the very high category of 53.28% or effective with effectiveness indicators: a) Work program 49.64%, and b) Independence of PIK R 89.05% . (2) The inhibiting factor of the genre in the high category is 71.53%, but the driving factor is higher because of the belief in the performance of the genre, namely 74.45%. (3) The role of the planning generation is to provide socialization and understanding to adolescents about the dangers of free sex and drug use, the importance of planning for the future (education, career, marriage, community life), providing life skill training, and collaboration with agencies and communities.
