Abstract

The research is served to identify : (1) the significance of discussion method started by giving the question and the assignment, (2) the difference between higher and lower level of student ability in solving problem of Physics , (3) the interaction of using discussion method started by giving questions and assignments, and student ability in problem solving of Physics, to Physic learning achievement in Thermodynamics.This Research was conducted from May 2008 to June 2008, using experiment method. The population is all students of grade XI SMA Negeri Mojogedang Karanganyar. The sample is assigned to two out of all classes, those are: IPA I as Experiment I class and IPA II as experiment II class. The data were collected using test, documentation and observation. The data was analyzed under two ways anova constructively served by Minitab 15 software.The data analysis results in conclusions that: (1) there is a significant difference of using discussion method started by giving questions and assignments, (2) there is a difference between higher and lower level student ability in problem solving of Physics, (3) there is interaction of using discussion method started by giving the question and the assignment, student ability in problem solving of Physics to learning achievement in Physics. Following Anova test results in conclsion that discussion method started by giving the assignments is tentatively more effective than that started by giving the questions. The high student ability in problem solving of Physics also gives the better influence.Key words  :  Discussion Method, Problem solving of Physics

Abstract

The  objectives  of this reseach  are:  (1) to help  students  choose  the most  suitable  learning  method,  (2) to serve  qualified  learning  to pass the threshold  level, (3) to make up the average  students  mark in physics.  The method  of the study is experiment  applied  on students  of Grade X, SMA 6 Madiun.  The sample  is taken  under  cluster-random   sampling  technique having  class  XC  and  XD.  Data  on  students   achievement   are  taken  by cognitive   test,  those  of  prior  achievement   are  taken  by  documentation technique,   those   of  creativity   and  abstraction   skill  are  taken   by  test. Hypothetical  examination  is done under factorial  anava 2x2x2x2.The  results  show  that:  (1)  there  is a different   influence  between guided  inquiry and free-modified   inquiry technique  (0.005 < 0.05), (2) there is influence  of high and low prior achievement  (0.000  < 0.05), (3) there is influence  of high  and  low students  creativity  (0.039  < 0.05),  (4) there  is influence  of high and low abstarction  skill  (0.014 < 0.05), (5) there is no interaction   between   guided   and free-modified     unquiry technique  with students  prior achievement  (0.043 < 0.05), (6) there is interaction  between guided and free-modified   unquiry technique  with students creativity  (0.043 < 0.05), (7) there  is interaction  between  guided  and free-modified    unquiry technique  with  students  abstraction   skill  (0.032  < 0.05),  (8) there  is no interaction   between   guided   and free-modified     unquiry   technique   with students  prior  achievement,   creativity   and  abstraction   skill  towards  the achievement  (0.595 > 0.05).Key words: guided inquiry technique, free-modified inquiry technique, experiment, achievement, prior achievement, creativity, abstraction skill

Abstract

This research aims to (1) acquire the form of the development of physics oriented learning module SETS (2) Determine the increase studens critical thinking skills after participating physics module SETS result oriented development. The research was conducted in MAN 1 Madiun, with the sample and the population of student of class X. Trial conducted in small class and large class. Used technique of data collection is open questionnaire, pre test ang post test. Pre-requisite test result of analysis is the test of normality Liliefors and homogeneity Bartlett. Result of test analysis instrument using validity, reliability, level of difficulty and different power problems. Result of this research are (1) the result of the assessment carried out by the validator to the development of product obtained an average score of 3,21,considered feasible (2,8 < X ≤ 3,4).result of student responses when small class test showed a good response with an average score 3,28 and an average score 3,23 in the limited class test,then the product is appropriate to the student’s response. (2)increase student critical thinking abilities showed moderate improvement, it can be seen from the average of n-gain obtained 0,6 (0,3 < g ≤ 0,7). (3)conclusion of development SETS based modules to improve critical thinking ability equivalent high school student on the topic of dynamic electricity decent quality for use by the user in the learning process.Key word: Physics module, SETS, critical thinking.

Abstract

Mahasiswa memiliki konsepsi berbeda dalam memahami konsep dinamika. Profil konsepsi mahasiswa dapat digunakan sebagai acuan bagi dosen sebelum melaksanakan proses perkuliahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa semester I program studi pendidikan fisika dan pendidikan biologi IKIP PGRI Madiun sejumlah 63 mahasiswa yang menempuh matakuliah Fisika dasar. Hasil tes konsepsi mahasiswa pada pokok bahasan kinematika menunjukkan bahwa 92,06% mahasiswa memiliki konsepsi salah dalam memahami grafik.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop master production schedule (MPS) to meet all consumers’ demand by means of disaggregation process method. The method was applied on a small scale industry producing a several instant powder drinks of the following raw materials: ginger, “kunyit putih” (white turmeric); “temulawak” (kind of wild ginger); turmeric and tamarind; “kunci sirih” (bettle vine with finger-roots), “beras kencur” (lesser galangal and rice), and aloe. The products are packed in two sizes i.e. a sachet of 100 gram (a small sachet) and 250 gram (a big sachet) respectively. Initially, the demand was forecasted using an additive decomposition method, then followed by an aggregated planning based on a work force method and finally, to run a disaggregation process using The Hax and Meal method. The results suggested that for the coming 3 months ought to produce an instant powder of ginger drinks as many as 4,710 small sachets and 1,530 big ones; 4,330 small sachets and 1,416 big ones of white turmeric (Curcuma saffron) instant powder; 3,660 small sachets and 1,100 big sachets of wild ginger (Curcuma xananthorrhiza) instant powder; 2,940 small sachets and 964 big ones of white turmeric-tamarind mixture;  1,980 small sachets and 648 big sachets of bettle vine-finger-roots mixture; 2,080 small sachets and 648 big sachets of a lesser galangal-rice mixture; and 2,150 small sachets and 704 big sachets of  aloe powder respectively.   Key Words: hax and meal method, disaggregation, master production schedule

Abstract

Learning is a process of understanding materials. The different ability of the students cause the different understanding. The research was aimed to know the misconception profile of the students in term of the kinetic theory of gases. The research was done in SMAN 6 Madiun through online activities that its subject was the students of class XI MIPA 2 with 22 students drawn at random. The data collection technique was by spreading essay test then it was analyzed using the understanding concept of Renner and Brumby. The results of the research from three questions given were most students experienced 45,45% of misconception on the first question, all of them have understood 100% on the second question and most of them experienced 40,90% of misconception on the third question. For researchers who will research the same field, they should use a variety of questions and time restrictions, especially in the midlle of pandemic, which is conducted online, to minimize cooperation.

Abstract

The competency possessed by the teacher affects the attention of students in participating in the learning process which will produce student learning outcomes. This type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The results of this study are the relationship between students' perceptions of teacher pedagogical competence with the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of social studies at SM Ma'arif NU 01 Pekuncen, Banyumas Regency, Academic Year 218/2019 there is a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. This is evidenced by the obtained correlation value of the two variables is 0.943 with a significance of 0.000 and the student's perception variable about teacher pedagogical competence is related to the learning outcome variable by 88.9%.

Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan model substansi/materi pendidikan kecakapan hidup bagi anak tunagrahita ringan di SLB tingkat sekolah dasar, dihasilkannya modul pegangan guru, serta tersosialisasikannya modul tersebut di SLB. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SLBN I Yogyakarta dan SLB Marsudi Putra II Bantul melalui pendekatan research and Development (RD). Pengambilan sampel secara purposif. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu pengamatan, wawancara mendalam dan semi structtured discussion dengan guru, orangtua siswa, dan pengawas SLB. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan mengatur, mengurutkan, mengkategorikan data sehingga dapat diseskripsikan aspek yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa untuk pengembangan model substansi pendidikan kecakapan hidup bagi anak tunagrahita dilakukan melalui: (a) mengkaji teori tentang kecakapan hidup bagi anak tunagrahita, (b) mengkaji GBPP Binadiribagi anak tunagrahita, (c) mengidentifikasi visi, misi dan lingkungan sekolah, (d) mengidentifikasi harapan orang tua, dan (e) mengidentifikasi kemampuan dan potensi siswa. Penelitian ini juga telah dihasilkan modul pegangan guru yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli media, dan pengkaji materi dari staff akademisi di bidang pendidikan anak tunagrahita, kepala sekolah dan guru-guru SLB, serta tersosialisasikannya modul tersebut ke beberapa SLB di Yogyakarta.Kata kunci: pendidikan kecakapan hidup, tunagrahitaringan, modul
