Abstract

ABSTRACT Tarakan City has the potential of marine fisheries resources that are quite large from capture fisheries. However, the by-catch has low economic value so that the diversification of catches in the food sector is not optimal. One of the by-catch with low utilization is the tarpon fish (Megalops cyprinoides). This activity aims to provide training to LiZY UMKM about the diversification product of tarpon fish. The method used in this activity is training with participatory learning techniques and mentoring. The training and mentoring process includes: selection of raw materials for fish cake products, formulating and diversifying processed fishery products such as fish ball, chikuwa, ekado, fish cake, and fish dumplings and providing information related to tarpon fish nutrition. The results of this activities in the form of training and assistance in processing tarpon fish into fish cakes include fish ball, chikuwa, ekado, odeng, and fish dumplin. The conclusion from this activity is that participants can understand the importance of creating new innovations in food processing so that can seize and win the culinary business competition and have skills in processing current fish preparations based on by-catch Keywords: By-Catch; Fish Cake; North Kalimantan. ABSTRAK Kota Tarakan memiliki potensi sumberdaya perikanan laut yang cukup besar dari hasil perikanan tangkap. Namun demikian, hasil tangkapan sampingan (by-catch) memiliki nilai ekonomis rendah sehingga minim diversifikasi hasil tangkapan dalam bidang pangan. Salah satu hasil tangkapan sampingan dan minim pemanfaatannya adalah ikan bulan-bulan (Megalops cyprinoides). Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan diversifikasi olahan ikan bulan-bulan kepada UMKM LiZY. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dengan teknik pembelajaran partisipatif dan pendampingan. Proses pelatihan dan pendampingan meliputi: pemilihan bahan baku produk fish cake, menyusun formulasi dan diversifikasi olahan hasil perikanan seperti fish ball, chikuwa, ekado, odeng, dan fish dumpling dan memberikan informasi terkait gizi ikan bulan-bulan. Hasil kegiatan PKM berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam mengolah ikan bulan-bulan menjadi fish cake antara lain: lain fish ball, chikuwa, ekado, odeng, dan fish dumpling. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta dapat memahami pentingnya menciptakan inovasi baru dalam mengolah makanan agar dapat merebut dan memenangkan persaingan bisnis kuliner dan memiliki keterampilan dalam mengolah olahan ikan yang kekinian berbasis hasil tangkapan sampingan. Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan penggunaan pupuk organic cair (POC) dari limbah air cucian beras dan limbah batang pisang oleh masyarakat di Kota Makassar, Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan yaitu pada bulan Juli hingga bulan September 2020 di Kecamatan Rappocini, Kota Makassar, Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan masyarakat merespon cukup tinggi melalui media massa dan masyarakat memanfaatkan pupuk organic untuk tanaman sawi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The partners involved in Community Service (P2M) is the Sumber Rezeki Karya Tani Farmer Groups based in the Landasan Ulin Timur Subdistrict, Landasan Ulin Subdistrict, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan. The problems faced by the farmers' group are: (1) Farmers are very dependent on the availability of forage feed, but the availability is restricted and not proportional to the amount of feed consumption per cow, which is a lot (10% of body weight). (2) Lack of dissemination and innovation by farmers to utilize and process local feed ingredients and waste feed. (3) In general, farmers do not provide supplements to cattle to promote growth. Due to these conditions, the beef cattle fattening period becomes longer (> 6 months). The purpose of this activity is to help cattle farmers to increase their productivity by utilizing the feed-materials and processed materials in the form of urea molasses mineral block. The method of activities includes the provision of materials and hands-on practice of making urea molasses mineral block (UMMB). At the end of the activity, an evaluation was conducted on the Farmer Group. Results of activities The evaluation showed that 90-100% of the members of the farmer group played an active role during the activity, 75-85% understood how to properly process the mineral urea block molasses, and 50% planned to continue implementing the UMMB technology. Keywords: Processing, Feed; Landasan Ulin Timur; Banjarbaru ABSTRAK Mitra yang dilibatkan pada Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (P2M) adalah Kelompok Tani Sumber Rezeki Karya Tani berdomisili di Kelurahan Landasan Ulin Timur, Kecamatan Landasan Ulin, Kota Banjarbaru Kalimantan Selatan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah: (1) Peternak sangat tergantung dengan ketersediaan pakan hijauan namun ketersediaannya sangat terbatas dan tidak sebanding dengan jumlah konsumsi pakan per ekor sapi yang cukup tinggi (10% dari berat badan). (2) Kurangnya diseminasi dan inovasi peternak untuk memanfaatkan dan mengolah bahan-bahan pakan lokal dan pakan limbah. (3) Pada umumnya peternak tidak memberi suplemen pada sapi untuk pemacu pertumbuhan sehingga dengan kondisi tersebut masa penggemukkan sapi potong menjadi lebih lama (> 6 bulan). Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah membantu peternak untuk meningkatkan produktivitas sapi dengan memanfaatkan bahan–bahan pakan dan diolah dalam bentuk urea mineral molases blok (UMMB). Metode kegiatan meliputi pemberian materi dan praktek langsung pembuatan UMMB kemudian pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan evaluasi pada kelompok tani. Hasil kegiatan adalah 90-100% dari anggota kelompok tani berperan aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung, 75-85 % memahami cara pengolahan UMMB dengan baik dan 50% berencana melanjutkan penerapan teknologi UMMB tersebut. Abstract

ABSTRACT Increasing the potential of regional retribution objects in the Merauke Regency is an effort of the regional government to increase regional budget revenues. Izin Mendirikan Bangunan (IMB) or the "Construction Permit", which is the primary source of the regional retribution in Merauke Regency, is one of the requirements for the people to legally own a building. The dearth of resources at the relevant agencies, combined with the lack of awareness and knowledge within the community in managing the IMB, has caused the implementation of the IMB to run ineffectively. This service aims to survey potential user fees in the Kurik, Tanah Miring, and Semangga Districts of Merauke Regency by registering the ownership of the IMB and understanding the problems that occur in the community related to the management of IMB and at the same time to obtain a constructive input for the Investment Office and One-Stop Integrated Services of Merauke Regency in the framework of increase in IMB retribution in 2020. Keywords: Retribution objects; IMB; Merauke ABSTRAK Peningkatan potensi objek retribusi daerah di Kabupaten Merauke merupakan upaya pemerintah daerah dalam meningkatkan pendapatan anggaran daerah. Izin Mendirikan Bangunan (IMB) sebagai primadona objek retribusi daerah di Kabupaten Merauke merupakan salah satu kebutuhan masyarakat dalam mendapatkan legalitas kepemilikan bangunan gedung. Ketersediaan sumber daya di instansi terkait, kurangnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam mengelola IMB menyebabkan implementasi IMB tidak berjalan efektif. Pengabdian ini bertujuan melaksanakan survey potensi retribusi bagi masyarakat di Distrik Tanah Miring dan Distrik Semangga Kabupaten Merauke dengan mendata kepemilikan IMB dan mengetahui permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat terkait pengurusan IMB dan sekaligus menjadi masukan bagi Dinas Penanaman Modal dan pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kabupaten Merauke dalam rangka peningkatan retribusi IMB tahun 2020. Abstract

ABSTRACT Beef cattle is one of the livestock which is considered as a side-business by Papuan. Generally, the farming practice is extensive - they let the cattle graze freely in palm plantations or just tie them down around the house. In the last seven years, more Papuan were keeping beef cattle since the government introduced beef cattle to act as a dowry for weddings to the community. The purposes of this community service program-community empowerment learning (KKN-PPM) were (1) Optimal use of agricultural waste such as tofu waste, rice bran, cocoa peels, cassava along with its by-products as additional feeds of beef cattle; (2) Reduced dependence on an additional feed from factories. KKN-PPM was carried out in Waseki Pop, Prafi District for 67 days. KKN-PPM was commenced from provisioning to students concerning the potential of feeding; the development of feed technology; complete feed and feed concentrate. Local feed materials for making feed concentrate were rice brand (70%), stacks (16%0), the waste product of tofu (11%), salt (2%), and urea (1%). Those compositions have met the requirements of dry matter and crude protein for beef cattle. 30 students from different field studies joined the KKN-PPM program. The workload of each student was calculated based on the effective working time (EWT) which was about 288 EWT. The method of implementing KKN-PPM starts from debriefing students on campus, namely the use of potential feed; feed technology development; complete feed and concentrate. During the implementation in the field, students and their supervisors conducted technical guidance on beef cattle maintenance, concentrate processing techniques, and counseling for cattle breeders. During the KKN-PPM activities, a total of 114.4 kg of concentrate was given to 7 cows. Sustainability of the program would be reached when the government of West Papua and Manokwari district had the same program for students every year to make feed concentrate for farmers. Keywords: Feed concentrate; Local material feed; Beef cattle ABSTRAK Sapi merupakan salah satu ternak yang dijadikan usaha sambilan bagi penduduk asli Papua. Pola pemeliharaan sapi pada umumnya dilakukan secara ekstensif yaitu sapi dibiarkan berkeliaran di perkebunan kelapa sawit atau diikat di sekitar rumah. Tujuh tahun terakhir ini, masyarakat asli Papua banyak mengusahakan sapi potong setelah Bupati Manokwari dengan kesepakatan Lembaga Masyarakat Adat memperkenalkan sapi potong sebagai salah satu bentuk mas kawin. Tujuan dilaksanakan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN-PPM) adalah 1. pemanfaatan secara optimal limbah pertanian untuk pakan tambahan sapi potong; 2. Berkurangnya ketergantungan pakan tambahan dari pabrik. KKN-PPM dilaksanakan selama 67 hari di Kampung Waseki Pop Distrik Prafi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 30 mahasiswa secara terpadu dari berbagai bidang ilmu. Volume pekerjaan setiap mahasiswa dihitung berdasarkan Jam Kerja Efektif Mahasiswa yakni sebanyak 288 JKEM. Metode pelaksanaan KKN-PPM dimulai dari pembekalan mahasiswa di kampus yaitu pemanfaatan bahan pakan potensial; pengembangan teknologi pakan; pakan komplit dan konsentrat. Dalam pelaksanaan di lapang, mahasiswa bersama-sama dosen pembimbing melakukan bimbingan teknis pemeliharaan sapi potong, teknik membut konsentrat dan penyuluhan kepada peternak sapi. Konsentrat dibuat dari bahan-bahan lokal setempat yaitu dedak padi (70%), onggok (16), ampas tahu (11%), garam (2%) dan urea (1%). Dengan formulasi konsentrat seperti tersebut maka kebutuhan bahan kering dan protein kasar sapi potong telah memenuhi standar. Selama kegiatan KKN-PPM, total konsentrat yang dibuat sebanyak 114,4 kg yang diberikan pada 7 ekor sapi. PEMDA Provinsi Papua Barat dan Kabupaten Manokwari diharapkan mempunyai program yang sama setiap tahunnya untuk mendanai kegiatan pendampingan dalam pembuatan konsentrat pada wilayah-wilayah binaannya. Abstract

ABSTRACT Prayer activities, specifically for Catholics, are carried out through the Virgin Mary at a certain pilgrimage area. The Catholic Church of St. Michael in Kweel Village has a problem in planning for the construction of Maria Cave. As a form of Higher Education Tri Dharma, activities are carried out to provide cave design services along with the preparation of Budget and Cost Plans (RAB). The methods of implementing the activities include site/site data collection, analysis, drafting of design concepts, drawings, and ending with the making of the RAB. The result of the activity is the design of a Maria Cave measuring 8 X 5 m without roofing with geometric shapes consisting of public and private zones with the concept of utility lighting and resulting in building cost calculation with a value of Rp. 42,900,000. Keywords: Pilgrimage; Orison; Catholic Christianity ABSTRAK Kegiatan-kegiatan doa secara khusus bagi umat katolik adalah dengan melalui perantara Bunda Maria, pada suatu kawasan ziarah. Gereja Katolik St. Mikhael di Kampung Kweel memiliki permasalahan dalam perencanaan pembangunan Goa Maria. Sebagai salah satu bentuk Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, maka dilakukan kegiatan pemberian pelayanan jasa desain goa dan penyusunan Rencana Anggaran dan Biaya (RAB). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: pengumpulan data site/tapak, analisis, penyusunan konsep desain, drawing, dan diakhiri dengan pembuatan RAB. Hasil kegiatan adalah desain suatu bangunan Goa Maria berukuran 8 X 5 m tanpa pernanungan dengan bentuk geometris yang terdiri atas zona publik dan privat dengan konsep utilitas pencahayaan lampu dan juga menghasilkan perhitungan biaya pembangunan goa maria dengan nilai bangunan adalah Rp. 42.900.000. Abstract

ABSTRACT The activity was carried out to determine the health status of qurban animals and the worthiness of the qurban meat during eid al-Adha in Manokwari Regency through antemortem and postmortem examinations along with the application of health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic. Six hundred fifty-six beef cattle were examined. The antemortem examination includes the observation of the general condition, eye mucosa, anus, and fecal matter. The liver and rumen were examined through direct observation (inspection) of the presence of worm parasites. Covid-19 health protocol observations were carried out on butchers, meat officers, and the facilities around the activity. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in percentages and figures. The average Body Condition Score (BCS) of the cattle was 3 to 4. The locomotion and skin turgor was normal. In general, the examined meat was fit for consumption. The eye mucosa color in the examined cows was pink. The anus condition of all the cows examined is clean and the stool consistency is soft. A total of 106 livers (16.16%) had fasciolosis and 89 rumens (13.57%) were positively infested with Paramphistomum sp. Most of the slaughter places have implemented health protocols with body temperature checks, washing their hands when entering the slaughtering area and most of the workers have to wear a mask. Keywords: Qurban Animals; Heartworms; Covid-19 ABSTRAK Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status kesehatan hewan kurban dan kelayakan daging kurban di Kabupaten Manokwari melalui pemeriksaan antemortem dan postmortem dan penerapan protokol kesehatan selama wabah covid-19. Hewan yang diperiksa adalah sapi dengan jumlah sebanyak 656 ekor. Pemeriksaan terdiri atas ante-mortem meliputi pemeriksaan keadaan umum, mukosa mata, anus dan feses dengan cara inspeksi dan pemeriksaan post-mortem, meliputi: hati dan rumen yang dilakukan dengan pengamatan langsung (inspeksi) keberadaan parasit cacing dalam organ periksa. Pengamatan protokol kesehatan covid-19 dilakukan pada: petugas jagal, petugas daging, petugas jeroan dan fasilitas disekitar kegiatan berlangsung. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam persen dan gambar. Rerata Body Condition Score (BCS) sapi yang disembelih adalah 3 sampai 4. Lokomosi 100% dan turgor kulit normal. Secara umum daging yang diperiksa layak dikonsumsi. Rerata warna mukosa mata pada sapi yang diperiksa adalah merah muda. Keadaan anus dari seluruh sapi yang diperiksa adalah bersih dan konsistensi fesesnya lunak. Sebanyak 106 organ hati sapi (16,16%) yang diperiksa mengalami fasciolosis dan sebanyak 89 rumen (13,57%) positif terinfestasi Paramphistomum sp. Sebagian besar tempat penyembelihan telah melakukan protokol kesehatan berupa pemeriksaan suhu tubuh, wajib cuci tangan saat memasuki area penyembelihan dan sebagian besar petugas jagal, petugas daging dan petugas jeroan telah mengenakan masker. Abstract

ABSTRACT Sidoarjo Regency has the highest potential in milkfish aquaculture ponds. The maintenance of healthy milkfish requires clean and uncontaminated water and ponds, so sanitation efforts are pivotal in the management of milkfish cultivation. Milkfish is sensitive to Salmonella Spp. This service activity is carried out in several stages, namely 1) survey and filling in the questionnaire, 2) counseling activities, and lastly, 3) monitoring and evaluation. This community service was carried out to 3 groups of the milkfish cultivation community, namely the Mina Sentosa Segorotambak Group, Tumbuh Jaya Segorotambak, and Tumbuh Makmur Segorotambak Group. The results of the community service activities show that overall the milkfish farmers in Segorotambak Village have an understanding of hygiene (77,78%), sanitation (72,22%), but overall respondents gave the answer that respondents did not know about salmonellosis (100%). Salmonella spp. can survive in water contaminated with human or animal fecal matter. The importance of awareness in maintaining hygiene and sanitation needs to be understood by milkfish pond farmers to prevent the incidence of salmonellosis. Communication, information, and education on the relationship between hygiene and sanitation and contamination against salmonellosis in the community are of the utmost importance. Keywords: Higiene; Milkfish; Sanitation; Salmonella spp; Salmonellosis ABSTRAK Kabupaten Sidoarjo memiliki potensi tertinggi pada tambak budidaya ikan bandeng. Pemeliharaan ikan bandeng yang sehat mensyaratkan air dan tambak yang bersih serta tidak tercemar, sehingga diperlukan upaya higiene sanitasi pada pengelolaan budidaya ikan bandeng. Ikan bandeng peka terhadap cemaran bakteri Salmonella Spp. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu 1) survei dan pengisian kuesioner, 2) kegiatan penyuluhan, dan 3) pemantauan evaluasi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada 3 kelompok masyarakat budidaya bandeng yaitu Kelompok Mina Sentosa Segorotambak, Tumbuh Jaya Segorotambak, dan Tumbuh Makmur Segorotambak. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan pembudidaya tambak ikan bandeng di Desa Segorotambak, memiliki pemahaman terhadap higiene (77,78%), sanitasi (72,22%) namun secara keseluruhan responden memberikan jawaban bahwa responden belum mengetahui mengenai penyakit salmonellosis (100%). Bakteri Salmonella spp. dapat bertahan pada air yang tercemar feses manusia atau hewan penderita. Pentingnya kesadaran dalam menjaga higiene sanitasi perlu dipahami oleh pembudidaya tambak ikan bandeng untuk mencegah kejadian penyakit salmonellosis. Komunikasi, informasi, dan edukasi pada mengenai hubungan higiene sanitasi dengan cemaran terhadap penyakit salmonellosis pada masyarakat sangat perlu untuk dilakukan. Abstract

ABSTRACT This activity is aimed to determine the process of making organic fertilizer from agricultural and cattle waste in Seppee Village, Barru District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This activity was carried out in July with a demonstration method for the Sipakainge group totaling 25 people. The results showed that the members of the Sipakainge group were very active in making organic fertilizers by utilizing agricultural and cattle waste, therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the activities’ process. Keywords: Manufacturing process; agricultural waste; cow waste; organic fertilizer ABSTRAK Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membuat proses pembuatan pupuk organik dari limbah pertanian dan limbah sapi di Desa Seppee, Kecamatan Barru, Kabupaten Barru, Propinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli dengan metode demonstrasi pada anggota kelompok Sipakainge berjumlah 25 orang. Bagian metode perlu ditambahkan penjelasan singkat pembuatan pupuk organic. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan anggota kelompok Sipakainge sangat aktif mengikuti pembuatan pupuk organik dengan memanfaatkan limbah pertanian dan limbah sapi sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi kegiatan pembuatan pupuk organik. Abstract

ABSTRACT The Arfak Mountains Natural Reserve (CAPA), which is located in the Bird's Head Peninsula region of West Papua, Indonesia, covered an area of about 45,000 km2. The area is located within the three different administrative areas, including Manokwari, Manokwari Selatan, and Pegunungan Arfak Regencies. Ukopti Village is located in the District Tanah Rubuh Manokwari District which is a buffer zone directly adjacent to The Nature Reserve Area Mountains Arfak (CAPA). The economic circumstances village community is marginal and underprivileged, with their main livelihood obtained from their mostly small farms. The farms' result is often uncertain so they depend on other alternatives such as wildlife, especially deer hunting. Based on the decision of the Minister of Forestry and Plantation No: 682/Kps-II/1988 on the establishment of the Timor deer (Cervus timorensis) for game hunting in Papua, the deer has the potential to improve the community's nutrition and economy when compared to a better-off society, which usually has access to conventional livestock. Most of the community groups normally sell their catch in the form of fresh deer meat and bacon, so oftentimes the quality of the products are lower because they are not sold quickly enough and the distance to the district town is quite far, the expensive cost of transport only exacerbates the problem. The training lasted for eight months and was held at Kampung Ukopti Land District Rubuh Manokwari District. Two groups acted as partners or the target groups of this activity, they are the hunters and deer-butchers groups. The activities of this training include lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on participation. Results of the practice of making deer-jerky had been adopted by the community/partners who have received the training, as shown by the products produced according to the example given to the participants. This activity is highly appreciated by the people of Kampung Ukopti, indicated by the presence of local officers and most of the people during the activity. Wilayah tersebut terletak di tiga wilayah administratif yang berbeda yaitu Kabupaten Manokwari, Manokwari Selatan dan Pegunungan Arfak. Kampung Ukopti terletak di Distrik Tanah Rubuh Kabupaten Manokwari yang merupakan daerah penyangga (buffer zone) yang berbatasan langsung dengan kawasan Cagar Alam Pegunungan Arfak (CAPA). Keadaan ekonomi masyarakat desa yang marjinal dan kurang mampu yang diperoleh dari kebun yang tidak menentu sehingga alternatif lainnya bergantung pada satwa liar, khususnya berburu rusa. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kehutanan dan Perkebunan Nomor: 682 / Kps-II / 1988 tentang Penetapan Rusa timor (Cervus timorensis) untuk pemburuan di Papua, Rusa timor merupakan salah satu spesies yang berpotensi untuk meningkatkan gizi dan gizi. Masyarakat ekonomi jauh akan mengakses ternak konvensional. Kelompok masyarakat yang selama ini hanya menjual hasil tangkapannya berupa daging rusa segar dan bacon seringkali kualitas mangsanya mudah rusak karena tidak laku dan jarak ke kota kabupaten cukup jauh serta sisi angkutan yang cukup mahal. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama delapan bulan bertempat di Kampung Ukopti Tanah Distrik Rubuh Kabupaten Manokwari. Dua kelompok yang dijadikan mitra atau kelompok sasaran kegiatan tersebut adalah kelompok berburu dan menyembelih rusa. Tahapan dari kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, demonstrasi dan peserta langsung mempraktekan pembuatan dendeng. Hasil praktek pembuatan dendeng harus diadopsi oleh masyarakat / mitra yang sudah mendapatkan pelatihan, terlihat dari produk yang dihasilkan sesuai contoh yang diberikan peserta. Kegiatan ini mendapat apresiasi yang tinggi dari masyarakat Kampung Ukopti yang ditunjukkan dengan kehadiran petugas dan sebagian besar masyarakat selama kegiatan berlangsung.
