Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the anxiety of communicating students with the supervisor in the thesis guidance process. This research method uses qualitative methodology. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire, interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that the anxiety of communicating students in the experience of communication interaction with the supervisor in the thesis guidance process occurred in students when compiling or doing thesis guidance. This results in students experiencing various kinds of anxiety, ranging from headaches, difficulty falling asleep, feeling tired, restlessness, nervousness, despair, depression, dizziness, thoughts become chaotic so that it impacts on others so that they become targets of anger. Factors that have the potential to be the cause of student anxiety in communication interactions with supervisors in the guidance process are internal and external factors.

Abstract

This study aims are to determine the improvement of mathematical problem solving skills with the application of math mobile learning media. The study was conducted in fourth grade of SD 1 PasuruhanKidul Kudus in the academic year 2018/2019 with the number of students 19.The research method used was the classroom action research method which lasted for two cycles, namely in cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The independent variable in this study is math mobile learning media, while the dependent variable is the ability to solve math problems, student learning activities, and teacher teaching skills. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, documentation and tests. This data analysis technique uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis.The results of this study indicate that the increase is, (1) The average mathematical problem solving ability of students with the percentage of classical completeness 68.42% (enough) in the first cycle to 94.73% (good) in the second cycle, (2) Activities student learning has increased with a value of 64.48 less (need guidance) in the first cycle and 76.72 (good) in the second cycle. (3) The percentage of teaching skills of teachers has increased by a percentage of 71% (enough) in the first cycle and 80.5% (good) in the second cycle. Based on the results of research carried out in class IV SD 1 PasuruhanKidul Kudus, it can be concluded that through math mobile learning media can improve the ability to solve mathematical problems in the surrounding material and flat area, student learning activities and teaching skills of teachers in teaching and learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' speaking skills through simple poster media on the theme of my hero grade IV SDN 1 Loram Kulon Kudus. This research was conducted in class IV SDN 1 Loram Kulon with research subjects of 21 students. This research lasted for 2 cycles. Cycle 1, namely in sub-schemes 2 learning 1 and 3. Cycle 2 takes place in sub-schemes 2 in learning 4 and 6. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research shows that the use of poster media can improve speaking skills at SDN 1 Loram Kulon Kudus, this can be seen from the increase in cycle 1 to cycle 2 from 58% to 78% of the total 21 students.

Abstract

This research to obtain information and analyze data about the effect of students 'perceptions in class grouping on learning outcomes and the students' social ethics in the subject of the moral code of class VIII MTs Ma'ahid Kudus. This research uses a quantitative approach, which was carried out at MTs Ma'ahid Kudus Jl. K.H. Muhammad Arwani, Bakalan Krapyak Kaliwungu District, Kudus Regency. The population in studens of class VIII taken as many as 135 students by using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that: (1) The learning outcomes of the moral subjects of the VIII MTs Ma'ahid Kudus are included in the good category, which is at intervals (94-89). (2) The social ethics of students in class VIII MTs Ma'ahid Kudus is included in the good category, namely at intervals (50-54). (3) The influence between students 'perceptions in class grouping on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the moral subjects of the VIII grade at MTs Ma'ahid Kudus is 32%. (4) The influence between students 'perceptions in class grouping on the students' social ethics in the VIII moral subjects in MTs Ma'ahid Kudus is 37%.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the implementation of "Papa Pusing", the results and impact, constraints, and supporting "Papa Pusing" in SD Negeri Karanganyar 1.The method in this research is descriptive method. The population in this study were students of SD Negeri Karanganyar 1. The sample in this study were students of class VI SD Negeri Karanganyar 1 in the 2015/2016 academic year. The data analysis used was descriptive quantitative.The result of the implementation “Papa Pusing" is very effective in improving the creativity, knowledge, interest, and competence of students where from the initial conditions the average national exam of 65.2 to 72, the highest score of 26.4 UN initially increased to 28.75 and initially there are no students who scored 100 in the UN increased to two children who obtained a 100 in the UN. The effects are a lot of students who are enrolled in school favorite in the district of Kudus, students became increasingly religious, honest, disciplined and responsible, the confidence level of parents and the community increased due to the accountability of public schools also increased, the image of the school in the community the better and become an example and references other schools in the cluster-level national exam preparation. Obstacles encountered include too much pressure from parents to their children on reaching the maximum value, the absence of UN facilitation for students with special needs and excessive anxiety. Factors supporting namely the support and concern of all the school community and stakeholders to realize high quality graduates and good communication between teachers and parents

Abstract

This study aims to describe the increase in the ability to explore new knowledge of students and teaching skills of teachers by using the engklek as media in grade IV SD IT Al-Hikmah Mayong.The class action research is carried out for two cycles, each cycle having two meetings and consisting of four stages, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Class IV research subjects at Al-Hikmah Mayong Elementary School with a total of 36 students. The independent variable in this study is the engklek as media, while the dependent variable is the ability to explore new knowledge. Data collection techniques using tests (written) and nontest include observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis used is quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis.The results of the study showed that using a engklek as media could improve students ability to explore new knowledge and teaching skills. The ability to explore new knowledge of students has increased from cycle I 64% and cycle II to 92%. There is an increase in teacher teaching skills in the first cycle to get a success rate of 70% with enough categories, then in the second cycle to get a success rate of 94% with very good categories.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the steps of media development and to know the quality and feasibility of Ludo Math media.The Ludo Math media was developed with a Borg and Gall model consisting of; 1) research and information collecting, 2) planning, 3) develop preliminary form of product, 4) preliminary field testing, 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing, 7) operational product revision, and 8) operational field testing.  The study was conducted at SD NegeriGetas 02 with the subject students training class III.  Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, assessment sheets of experts and teachers, and student response sheets.Analysis of the data of this study includes qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.  The results of this study indicate that the assessment according to media experts obtained a value of 85 with the category "Very Good". Assessment according to learning experts obtained a value of 92.5 with the category "Very Good".  The assessment according to the material experts obtained a value of 87.5 with the category "Very Good".  Small Group Product Trial Results, teacher assessment and student responses obtained an average value of 96.25 with the category "Very Good".  The results of the Large Group Usage Trial, the assessment of teachers and students obtained an average value of 98.75 in the "Very Good" category. From all assessments of experts, teachers, and students, Ludo Math media get an average value of 92. If the average value is converted into qualitative data, Ludo Math media is included in the "Very Good" category and declared fit for use in the material Simple fractions class III elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the improvement of students' understanding and also to measure students' learning activities after learning through the Group Investigation (GI) assisted by Watak Kalinyamatan media. This type of research is an experimental research design with Pre Experiment Design. The sample in this study was grade IV SDN 1 Damarjati, with the total of 45 students.  Sampling was done by using Purposive Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, tests, and documentation.  In Analyzing the data used  the final data analysis which includes the normality test, description of the concept understanding analysis, description of the students’ activity description, and hypothesis test that includes n-gain test and  t-test.The results of the analysis in this study were (1) there was an improvement in students' understanding of the concepts before and after the GI model of the Watak Kalinyamatan media was applied to the students, (2) P-value = 0.039 bigger than 0.025  H0 was accepted, this means that the average post-test score of students' concept understanding through the GI model assisted by the Watak Kalinyamatan media received a score of ≥ 65, (3) In the learning activities of the students’ meeting 2, 3 and 4 P-value = 0.1075, 0.045, and 0.037 ≥ 0.025, H0 is accepte, this means that the students’ activities after being given learning through GI models assisted by the Watak Kalinyamatan media are ≥ 65.

Abstract

This research described implementation of Problem Based Learning to improve teacher’s teaching skill, the students’ learning activities, and critical thinking ability of the students.This classroom action research was conducted for fourth graders of SD 1 Barongan Kudus. consisting of 41 students. It lasted in two cycles. The independent variables were Problem Based Learning model and life box. The dependent variables were critical thinking ability. Data collections in this research consist are test, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis were quantitative and qualitative.The result showed improvement. Teacher's skill improved in cycle I, from 78.7 into 89.1 in cycle II. The students’ learning activities improved from cycle I, 78.8 into cycle II, 88.6. Critical thinking ability of the students from cycle I, 73.2 improved into 86.8 in cycle II.It is concluded that critical thinking ability of the students could be improved through Problem based Learning model with life box media in SD 1 Barongan Kudus.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to obtain an overview of the application of Science Learning Based on Ethno-STEM with Digital Microscope, and to find out how the application of Science Learning Based on Ethno-STEM in improving the Science Process Skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 29 Idai. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of four stages in each cycle, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of one meeting. The research data collection tools were the observation sheet of science process skills and student worksheets. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of the assessment of Science Process Skills showed that there was an increase in the ability to observe students from 45.83% to 64.58%, the ability to classify students from 39.58% to 54.17%, the ability to predict students from 43.75% to 56, 25%, the ability to submit hypotheses from 39.58% to 54.17%, the ability to conclude 39.58% to 56.33%, and application skills from 31.25% to 58.33%. So it can be concluded that Ethno-STEM learning assisted by a simple digital microscope can improve the Science Process Skills of SDN 29 Idai students.
