Abstract

This study aims to map the ability to develop assessment instruments owned by physics teachers, especially in the Merauke district. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Respondents who were involved in this study were 14 respondents who were physics teachers in Merauke. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire containing 25 statements. The data of the research results were analyzed using the Ideal Standard Deviation. Overall, physics teachers’ competence in constructing and analyzing items is in the “good” category, with an average of 90.5. However, some assessment indicators need to be improved, such as reviewing objectives of constructing test instrument, content validation, revising based on validator’s suggestions, and analyzing the items.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties of mathematics teachers in carrying out their roles as teachers in online learning from the aspect of teachers as learning resources, demonstrators, motivators, managers, and evaluators. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects were 25 SMA/MA mathematics teachers in Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Riau Province. The data collection technique used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the research results of the five indicators of the teacher's role, teachers have difficulty, especially in carrying out their role as demonstrators 62%, roles as motivators 50%, and roles as evaluators 50%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students based on the gender of the students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were 24 students of class VIII SMPN 3 Bangkinang consisting of 12 male students and 12 female students. Then 6 subjects were selected, namely 3 men and 3 women who had high, medium, and low category mathematical problem solving abilities. The results of the answers would be described in answering the questions. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The analysis was carried out by giving a written test in the form of description questions, amounting to 3 questions. The material being tested is the material cubes and blocks. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving abilities of female students were superior to male students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of e-learning readiness factors, including self-competency, perceived usefulness, self-directed learning, motivation, and financial on the economic learning performance of high school students. This study used a quantitative approach. A total of 177 students were involved in this study. The data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. Regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that four factors of e-learning readiness, namely self-competency, perceived usefulness, self-directed learning, and financial partially had a significant effect on students' economic learning performance (exam scores). Self-directed learning emerged as the strongest factor for driving students' economic learning performance (exam scores), and sequentially followed by self-competency, financial, and perceived usefulness factors. Another factor, namely motivation partially has no effect on students' economic learning performance (assign-ment and exam scores). Meanwhile, simultaneously all e-learning readiness factors have an effect on students' economic learning performance (assignment and exam scores).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between metacognitive skills and learning interest in student learning outcomes in the sub-material equilibrium shift reaction. The method used is the descriptive correlation using test and questionnaire data collection techniques. The research subjects were 31 students of grade 11 IPA 6 at SMAN 1 Cerme in Gresik. Metacognitive skills data were obtained from metacognitive skills tests supported by MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) questionnaires, data on learning interest were obtained from questionnaires, and learning outcomes data were obtained from student learning outcomes tests. The analysis carried out is a statistical test. The tests conducted consisted of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and hypothesis testing used multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this study shows positive and significant correlation between metacognitive skills and learning interest toward the students' learning outcomes both in partial and simultaneously in chemical equilibrium, submaterial shift of chemical equilibrium, the effects of the independent variable are 76,6%, while other factors outside the research variables influenced the other 23.4%.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyse students’ critical thinking skills on reaction rate material. The learning process was done online using the guided inquiry model. This research applied quantitative descriptive method designed with one group pretest-posttest pattern. Subjects involved in this research was 32 students of class XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Taman. Research data was collected from observation and test results through observation sheets of learning model workability and critical thinking question sheets. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative analysis with statistical test. The result shows that student’s critical thinking skills increased which seen from n-gain score as follows: interpretation indicator as of 0.74; inference as of 0.76; and explanatory as of 0.86 with high category and analysis indicator as of 0.63 which was middle category. The result of paired sample t-test examination showed the number of sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 that stated whenever found big and significant difference between posttest and pretest scores which indicated the application of guided inquiry model during learning took effect on increasing students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to test the reliability and validity of the Revised Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (R-MSPSS) which has been translated to bahasa Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data was obtained from 285 teachers in Bandung (include elementary school, junior high school, and high school) who implemented distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling.  The data were collected using a questionnaire in the form of google form that was distributed through social media. The data analysis techniques in this study was an internal consistency test using Cronbach’s alpha to calculate the reliability of the instrument and confirmatory factor analysis with diagonally weighted least square estimation to prove construct validity using the JASP version 0.14 program. The results of this study indicate that the R-MSPSS has good reliability with the Cronbach's alpha value on the total score and the score for each dimension of more than 0,7. The result of factor confirmatory analysis shows that the R-MSPSS model with 4 factors is in accordance with the measured construct. The results of this study indicate that the R-MSPSS is a reliable and valid instrument for measuring teachers' perceived social support.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of online learning with a SWOT matrix analysis for DiplomaIII midwifery students during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Polytechnicof Health Kartini Bali. The method in this research is qualitative, with analysis using the SWOT matrix approach to formulate strategies to improve the quality of online learning for students. The research subjects were 15 representatives of Level I, II and III students. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a closed list of questions containing internal and external variables that affect learning. The results showed that from the results of the SWOT analysis, four alternative strategies were formulated, namely the Strategy Strength-Opportunities (SO), Weaknesses-Opportunities (WO), Strength-Threats (ST), and Weaknesses-Threat (WT) which included quality improvement in terms of methods. learning (providing modules, elerning and video tutoral), infrastructure (internet quota), human resources (participant motivation) and related stakeholder commitment. So it can be concluded that SWOT analysis on online learning can be used as input in improving the quality of learning for organizers, students and institutions in supporting the success of online learning during the Covid-19 period at the Polytechnicof Health Kartini Bali.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the effect of google classroom based Learning Management System (LMS) and interest in learning on student learning outcomes. The type of this research is quantitative research with descriptive statistical methods. Research subjects were senior high school 3 Sidoarjo 10 social class , totaling 75 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire used to measure the variable google classroom (X1) and interest in learning (X2). On the learning outcomes (Y) variable measured by the odd semester grade senior high school 3 Sidoarjo 10 social class. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that1)  There is an effect of Learning Management System based of google classroom on students economic learning outcomes 2) There is an influence of interest in learning on student learning outcomes and 3) There is the influence of Learning Management System based google classroom and interest in learning on student learning outcomes. The conclusion of this study is that The Learning Management System based on Google Classroom simultaneously affect learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of research to analyze the implementation of the role and the quality of learning carried out by teachers in upper-level education units. This research uses descriptive correlation method. The research sample consisted of 142 people who were spread across several upper level education units in Siak Regency, Riau Province. The instrument used for data collection was a Likert scale questionnaire. The analysis technique uses descriptive statistics, Product Moment correlation, normality, and anova. The results showed that all the actions taken had a significant role, namely reaching 47.8%, while 52.3% was determined by other factors. All activities carried out have an influence on the form of learning. The implementation of learning carried out in the upper level education unit has a very high quality standard. The teachers have taken appropriate actions to achieve learning objectives. The ability and skills of teachers in carrying out their duties are a means of realizing productive learning.
