Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the concept of morality in the book Adabul 'Alim wal Muta'allim and its implementation in fostering the morals of the students of the Roudlotut Tholibin Metro Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative research method with a narrative study approach. Primary data sources consist of library sources, namely the book Adabul 'Alim wal Muta'allim written by K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari and research informants, namely kiai and santri. Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis uses data reduction flow, data presentation, and drawing conclusions The results of the study revealed that the implementation of the book Adabul 'Alim Wal Muta'aliim in fostering the morals of students is realized by: (1) enactment of rules and regulations that require students to participate in all non-formal activities in the form of reciting books at madrasah diniyah and formal education at schools ; (2) the independence of the santri in managing all daily activities starting from waking up, performing ablutions, praying in congregation, eating, bathing, washing clothes, maintaining cleanliness; (3) the habit of speaking politely to teachers and elders; (4) helping the kiai carry out the work and meet the daily needs of the santri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership of female school principals to improve teacher cooperation. The focus of the study on the application of the transformational leadership style in terms of its implementation phase. This research was conducted at Al-Huda Islamic Elementary School, for two reasons, namely the principal of the school is a woman and the image of the school is popular and very popular with the community. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data is then analyzed with cycles of data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of transformational leadership in Al-Huda Islamic Elementary School went through two phases namely, first the leader was able to carry himself and fully understand being a personal leader which was implemented through: leader awareness and understanding the epistemology of leadership. Both leaders are able to influence and form cooperation with followers which is implemented through: providing work motivation, effective communication, being able to set an example, stimulate, and establish friendships.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Yanbu’a method to improve the ability to read and memorize the Qur'an. This study focuses on three problems, namely implementation, constraints, and learning outcomes. This study examines the use of the Yanbu’a method at SMP Techno Insan Kamil Tuban, East Java. This study uses a qualitative research method with a narrative study approach. Obtaining data using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The data sources consist of research informants which include teachers and students, and the literature which includes documents of student learning achievements, and books and journals as a theoretical basis. The results of the study revealed that this method utilizes tiered volumes from volume one to volume seven, and is studied in two ways, namely classical visualization and classical volume, and by combining two hours of weekly instruction. The obstacles encountered in applying this method are differences in student abilities, lack of parental support, difficulty for teachers to understand and convey the material of gharib volume six. Student learning outcomes respond well to this method, and it is proven that 85% of students are able to read the Al-Qur'an as well as write and memorize it.

Abstract

Education at the Miftahul Istiqomah Sungai Asam Islamic boarding school until now still tends to use traditional educational methods in its learning, this is maintained in order to continue to use the procedures taught by its predecessors. Apart from using traditional educational methods, this Islamic boarding school still carries out learning also at night, in contrast to learning that is implemented by schools in general during the day. On the basis of these problems, the purpose of this study is to analyze the variety of values ​​and traditional learning methods used in the Miftahul Istiqomah Sungai Asam Islamic boarding school. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques namely observation, wawancaras and documentation. The results of this study explain that the character values ​​of the students developed through Islamic boarding school education, namely the character values ​​in relation to God, the character values ​​in relation to oneself, and the character values ​​in relation to the environment. Then the traditional learning methods that are always used by educators for their students, namely the halaqah method, the sorogan method, the habituation method and the exemplary method.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of the ngejalang kubokh tradition as the formation of social and religious attitudes of the people of Pekon Negeri Ratu Tenumbang, South Coastal District, West Coast District. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method. Primary data regarding the practice of ngejelang was obtained from research informants, namely traditional leaders, religious leaders, saibatin, village heads and parat pekon, as well as the implementing committee. Secondary data obtained from books, journals, and other relevant sources. The results showed that the internalized values ​​of the ngejalang kubokh tradition were religious values, educational values, social values and cultural values. The Ngejelang tradition is a form of local wisdom presented form a social order that is religious, harmonious, dynamic and socialist which is a form of the culture of people's lives. The execution of running the kubokh is carried out during one Shawwal. Talibun and pahakh as forms of local wisdom which become symbols in the implementation of bitch kubokh which have a sacred essence in them. The people of Pekon Negeri Ratu Tenumbang interpret the bitch tradition as one of the ways to increase a sense of kinship, maintain friendly ties so as to form social integration between communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents in improving children's emotional intelligence with a focus on analyzing factors that increase emotional intelligence and strategies to increase emotional intelligence. This research was conducted in Alaspandan Village, Pakuniran District, Probolinggo. The research method used is qualitative, using a phenomenological approach—the source of data from research informants and library sources. The research informants consisted of two parents and children. At the same time, library sources comprised books, journals and research results. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The study's results revealed that there were two influencing factors, namely internal and external. The research findings revealed that of the two, the internal factor became the most dominant factor, namely the family environment. The interactions and socialization that occur within the family have a dominant influence on the emotional development of children. The strategies used by parents to improve children's emotional intelligence are getting used to interacting with children, developing self-confidence, building child empathy, providing good role models, and controlling children's emotions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept and comparison of the thoughts of Abdurrahman Wahid and Nurcholish Madjid regarding the concept of multicultural education from the perspective of religious nationalist thought. These two figures were chosen because of their popularity and their works as nationalist and religious figures in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative research methods, based on literature study. The data sources consist of two, namely primary which comes from the works of the two figures in terms of its relation to multiculturalism, and secondary which comes from journals or research findings. Abdurrahman Wahid is of the view that in a multicultural context, Islamic education must vary according to each culture. Diverse education does not deviate from the goal, but an effort to achieve educational goals through various ways. Nurholis Madjid is of the view that multiculturalism is not only co-existence but goes further than that, namely pro-existence. The phenomenon of multiculturalism in Islamic education is not only seen as a reality that is only allowed to exist, but is something that must be developed for the good of life.

Abstract

Improving the quality of Islamic religious education is a must, one of which is by optimizing teacher performance. Each educational institution has a different way. For this reason, this study aims to analyze efforts to optimize the performance of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving the quality of educators at Budi Agung Medan Private High School. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive study approach. Research informants of Islamic religious education teachers and school principals. Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis uses cycles of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity guarantee techniques use triangulation and member crosscheck. The results showed that optimization was carried out by assigning teachers according to areas of expertise, creating working groups, supervising teachers in administration and training for improvement, giving teacher achievement rewards, building family ties at school. The problems in optimization are the lack of institutional cooperation with partners, the lack of additional training or education, there is a wrong mindset about the limitations of teacher tasks.

Abstract

There are many things that affect student academic achievement, one of which is the activity of participating in organizational activities. But not a few also because of that students become complacent so that they take a long time to finish their studies. This study aims to determine the effect of organizational enthusiasm on academic achievement and how big the percentage of organizational enthusiasm is on student academic achievement. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a series of tests, such as validity, reliability, normality, linear test, and simple linear test to test the validity of the variables and indicators in this study. As for the population in this study, there were 623 active students majoring in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, North Sumatra State Islamic University, Medan. The sample used in this study was 86 people obtained from the results of sampling using the slovin formula with a 10% allowance. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing research questionnaires via the Google form. The results of the study answered that there was a significant influence between the organizational spirit variable and the academic achievement variable with an effect of 46.8%.

Abstract

Dayah education is a local wisdom that is owned by the people of Aceh, but in its current development it needs attention from the government. So in this regard this study aims to analyze the contribution of the Dayah Education Office in improving the quality of the Dayah Salafiyah in Aceh Province, one of which is carried out through the development of the dayah curriculum and through improving the quality of the dayah teaching staff so that they have competence in carrying out the dayah curriculum properly in accordance with the standards set by the Aceh Dayak Office. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive study approach. The subjects in this study consisted of the Aceh Dayah Education Office, dayah leaders, teaching staff and Dayah administrators. Based on the findings from the field, the implementation of the dayah curriculum has not been maximized, and there are even some dayah who have not yet implemented the curriculum developed by the Aceh Dayah education office. The obstacles to the Dayah Education Office in developing the dayah curriculum in Aceh Province come from internal sources in the form of a lack of funding and the level of human resources of employees, some of whom are still relatively minimal. Meanwhile, external constraints were the lack of participation of the dayah in participating in various socialization activities held by the Dayah Education Office.
