Abstract

Santri is an unique person in a various economic activities. In the mix of local wisdom that is thick with spiritual values and wrapped in the dynamics of the use of digital technology, students are seen as having a real influence in realizing community empowerment in the economic field. This article aims to describe the role of santri through local wisdom and the use of digital technology in creating community empowerment. To get accurate and up-to-date information, observations and collect information has done by interviewed to santri about their strategies in dealing with economic problems in the regency as well as tips on utilizing digital technology. Furthermore, the information is checked with primary sources in the form of community members to measure the effectiveness of the role of the santri. The analysis and discussion of the data was carried out qualitatively with the phenomenological approach of the Madurese community. The research findings in this article show that there is a collaboration of the attitude and mentality of students in the midst of society with personal capital of independence, honesty, and work ethic. In terms of using digital technology, they are also able to adapt quickly and precisely. Thus, this research is expected to be able to provide a complete and accurate description of the existence and role of santri in creating community empowerment in the economic field, so that regulatory and policymakers can determine priorities in regional and national development.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the paradigm change of governance implementation. The governance is the implementation of Regional Autonomy which refers to Law No. 32 of 2004 about the performance improvement of autonomous government agencies. It puts the vision, mission, and strategy into actions that confirm the success or failure levels when carrying out activities following the specified programs and policies. There are variables applied to assess the civil servants’ performance achievement. This research focused on the variables that affect the work environment, organizational culture, job satisfaction, and work motivation. The respondents of this research are officials of Echelon III and IV at 14 Autonomous Regional Agencies in the Pamekasan Regency. The number of samples in this study comprised 120 Echelon III and IV officials. Structural Equation Method (SEM) was applied to test the causal relationship between work environment variables, organizational culture, work motivation, job satisfaction, and performance with the aid of the AMOS 20.0 program. The findings indicated (1) the work environment has a significant effect on job satisfaction and performance but has no significant effect on work motivation; (2) organizational culture has a significant impact on job satisfaction and performance but has no significant effect on work motivation; (3) job satisfaction has a significant effect on performance but has no significant effect on work motivation; (4) work motivation has a significant impact on performance but it has no significant effect on work motivation.

Abstract

Population growth that continues to increase without being balanced with the extent of urban land causes an uncomfortable environment for all its society or communities. People need a chance to have a better life. Something new is required to solve this problem. One of the solutions is to create a Creative Village (Kelurahan Kreative), also as a form of support in realizing the Creative City. This study uses qualitative research with a literature study in data collection. The results show that this Creative Village can run with support from various parties; government, society, and the private sector. The collaboration of various parties will facilitate in realizing creative villages, which can be done by empowering the younger generation who are members of Karang Taruna (youth group). This young generation will move and develop the Creative Village. To support them, at first these young men will get various training as provisions. The use of technology is also important in efforts to realize Creative Village that will further support the creation of Creative City.

Abstract

This paper aims to provide a perspective on assistance to MSMEs in East Java in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. So far, MSMEs have been proven to be one of the economic drivers that accommodate the majority of workers in Indonesia. The existence of the Covid-19 Pandemic has depressed MSMEs throughout Indonesia and often have to go out of business. It seems that the government assistance that has been provided in the context of Covid-19 is still focused on individual or family assistance. Therefore, the authors consider MSMEs to be an essential factor in efforts to overcome the impact of Covid-19, especially in East Java. This paper uses the review literature as a method of data collection and research. The research results are expected to be an input for the Government, especially East Java Province, to consider the existence of capital assistance for MSME’s.

Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic has made some small industrial communities complain, plus there is confusing news information so that some people feel nervous in dealing with the spread of the coronavirus. The study in this research is basically field research (field research) and literary (library research), with a historical and multidisciplinary approach. Existing data, the authors analyze using a comparative method in a qualitative paradigm, through snowball sampling. Through this method, researchers hope to collect information needed by the small industrial community, so that they are motivated and enthusiastic in moving their business in the midst of the Corona pandemic. The role of the media is not only to report but also to deny hoax information and untrue information, moreover, the media has an important and strategic role in following the development of reliable information related to Covid-19 reporting, as a trusted source for the community towards the era of adaptation of new habits (new normal). ). The presence of journalists presenting news about aid programs, business opportunities, and product marketing facilities for small industry players in circulation and online is one of the breakthroughs that can foster new optimism and hope (expectations) among small industry players in the midst of their business slump due to the pandemic. corona. The final goal of this study, the author tries to get a concrete picture of the roles and responsibilities of journalists in building the optimism of the small industrial community during the corona pandemic.

Abstract

Online distance learning has been implemented as the most possible alternative at this time for continuous learning while maintaining a distance to prevent the spread of the corona virus and obeying the rules not to gather in one place. Research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of online learning by distributing questionnaire through the google form link. Data were obtained from 112 students related to media and learning methods that support the implementation of effective online learning . The result showed that 71% or 80 students mentioned that online learning at their university is effective. Blended Learning which is a combination of system synchronous learning and asynchronous learning is chosen by the majority of respondents. Related with the learning media, the use of google meet is the most popular learning media because apart from being able to be used as a medium in synchronous learning, it can also be used in the synchronous learning through Google classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the management of archives in support of administrative order at the Toho sub-district office, Toho district, Mempawah regency. This problem was chosen to look at the issues that exist in the management of archives or archives that exist, especially in the Toho District office of Mempawah Regency, especially those related to the problem of managing letters and arranging archives at the Toho Sub-district office because there are phenomena that indicate where in the management, mail or control. And the arrangement of the archives is still not done well; in other words, it has not been done as desired, or there are still some obstacles, especially those related to archive problems. Therefore, the archive is essential in supporting the orderly administration in the office so that there are no archiving problems that will make the paperwork in the office not recorded neatly or adequately. The results of this study indicate that the management, control, and arrangement of archives or archives at the Toho sub-district office are still not carried out properly, so an understanding of adequate archival equipment procedures is needed so that activities in archives management can be carried out as well as possible. This must be guided by the Governor's Regulation No. 453 of 2005 concerning reasonable and correct archival procedures.

Abstract

Landslide is a regular hazard in Bangladesh especially in Chattogram, the South-Eastern part of the Country. In 2007 and 2008 there happened two massive landslides in Chattogram. As a result, a huge number of people (130 and 11 respectively) died with heavy loss of properties affecting thousands of people in the region. Most of the landslides happened after torrential rain. Combined effect of rainfall and hill cutting induced slope instability adding Earthquake-triggered landslide in Chattogram. Some influential people are involved in hill cutting and developing hilly settlements in Chattogram. In some places, Government and non-Government authorities are developing settlements by razing hills there. A detailed area planning, landslide vulnerability zoning, landslide database development, geophysical analysis, and strictly implementation of Government’s existing rules are recommended to ensure avoiding further tragedy in Chattogram like 2007 and 2008.

Abstract

The article suggests an overall review of modern technological trends in education. The authors aimed to figure out the objectives, benefits and obstacles of their development. The article deals with innovations, which have already been and are being implemented in education system with Industry 5.0 shortly ahead. The main aim is to determine social and cultural impact of rapid digitalization in the sphere of education. Research methods were based on deductive categories. Elements of descriptive and comparative analysis were applied for identification of major patterns and tendencies. The review given by the authors proves that education is one of the main challenges for authorities, teachers and students in terms of digitalization. The results of the research indicate the importance of new paradigm and reconsidering of educational environment in general. It involves technological, social and communicative aspects. Some conventional standards have become obsolete and we need to acknowledge the fact. Modern society is facing not only technological challenges but also the ones concerning attitude and skills. We can conclude that effective agreement between social and technological process can be reached if legal framework and standardized approaches are involved.

Abstract

This research contributes to knowledge and ideas in improving the welfare of street vendors after relocation due to the construction of a flyover. In addition, the government's alignment with socio-economic income in meeting the livelihoods and livelihoods of marginalized communities still has many limitations. Therefore, the type of research used is a qualitative research which aims to analyze, understand and describe the welfare of the street vendors after relocation. So this study shows that (i) PKL families on Jalan Andi Pangerang Pettarani cannot be said to be prosperous because they have not met the family welfare indicators, such as some families do not have savings have never been on vacation, which is one of the family indicators
