Abstract

Abstract- This research was aimed to describe the kinds of Orchidaceae ephypitic in Ubalan Kediri. This research was conducted by describtive using explore method, started at Julii up to September 2013. Sampel were colected and to determine. Data shown that there were six specieses. They were Dendrobium crumenaatum  Swartz, Cymbidium biclolor (Lind.) Swartz, Rhynchostylis retusa  (Lind.) BI, Dendrobium secundum (BI.) Lind., Dendrobium anosmum Lind., dan Dendrobium tetrodon Ruhb.f. Based on karacters of flower analysis, both of R. retusa  (Lind.) Abstract

Research on the implementation model of  Problem Based Learning Instruction (PBI) based on the increased activity of planting the character and attitude of cognitive science study conducted on students of class VII MTs Negeri Model Purwokerto. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of PBI learning model to the increased activity of learning and cognitive attitudes of students in the material ecosystem. The method used is an experimental method with pre-test and post-test control group. The study population was all students of class VII (there are 5 classes) with cluster random sampling technique. Class VII-C number of 32 students as the control class while class VII-E were 34 students as a class experiment. Observed learning activities include activities asked, noting the teacher's explanation, and the activity of searching for learning resources. Cognitive attitude characteristic observed included the character of curiosity, tolerance and hard work. The results showed that the effect of PBI models significance to the improvement of science learning activities by 28.25%, while its influence on the improvement of cognitive attitude and level of learning outcomes have varied significansinya Keywords: model of learning, character based learning, learning activities, cognitive attitude, science learning

Abstract

The White-bellied Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) is one of the top predators living in the coastal area of Indonesia. This species has the range of distribution in all across Indonesian archipelago. However, this raptor population decreases particularly in the Java southern seas due to illegal hunts and the decreasing quality of their natural habitat. Meanwhile, this bird is still poorly studied in Indonesia. This research focuses on the identification of Haliaeetus leucogaster and the phylogenetic study of this species by means of morphometrical analysis and DNA barcode cytochrome-c oxcidace sub unit I (COI) in regards to the conservation of thisspecies. The method used in this research is by measuring the morphological characteristics and mitochondrial DNA isolation using Forward primer BirdF1 5’- TTC TCC AAC CAC AAA GAC ATT GGC AC-3’ and Reverse primer BirdR2 5’ ACT ACA TGT GAG ATG ATT CCG AAT-3’. The phylogenetic analysis using MEGA 6 with Maximum Likelihood method shows that Haliaeetus leucogaster in this study is closely related to Haliaeetus albicilla, Haliaeetus leucocephalus dan Haliaeetus pelagicus.  Keywords: phylogenetic study, Heliaeetus leucogaster, morphological chacarteristics, DNA barcoding, Cytochrome-c Oxcidace Sub Unit I (COI)

Abstract

A research about “Reproductive Status of Hampala Fish (Hampala macrolepidota  C.V. 1823) in Soedirman Resevoir, Banjarnegara, Central Java” had been done. This study aimed to investigate reproductive status of Hampala fish concerning sex ratio, gonado-somatic index, fecundity, egg diameter and habitat characteristics or water quality. The study was conducted during June-July 2013 using throwing and gill nets. Nine stations were pointed to catch 49 individuals. Male fishwere caughtat five stations, while femalesintwostations. Male fishwere 46individuals, and3 others were females. Sex ratio was unbalanced since male:female ratio was 94:6%. Male fish were immatures measuring 12-30.7 cm in length and weighing 17-359 g. Female fish were matures measuring 40 cm in length and weighing 917 g. Fecunditywas verylow ranging 1.040-2.517 eggs. Hampala was included in partial spawner. WaterqualityinSoedirman reservoirwas stillsuitablefor aquaticorganisms. Keywords: reproductive, hampalafish, soedirman resevoir.

Abstract

Preliminary studies have been conducted to obtain an overview of the scientific attitude profiles biology student teachers in the Department of Biology Education Program Mathematics Education FKIP Unsri . Data obtained by involving 65 students who attended the lectures of animal physiology . Instrument in the form of a questionnaire which contains eight characteristics include the scientific attitude of curiosity, rationality, willingness to suspend judgment, open-minded, critical thinking, objectivity, intellectual honesty, and humility. Descriptive statistics were used in the processing of the data obtained . It can be concluded that the scientific attitude of students showed a fairly good degree of attitude.                                                                                                                                      Keywords : scientific attitude, prospective biology student teachers

Abstract

The number of dengue fever patient created the apprehension from some sides. Some efforts have been done by the government starting from theterminated the vector that causes the illness i.e; eradication of wiggler, fogging, larviciding abatization and counseling about healthy behavior to residents. This research was conducted to decrease the number of wiggler or even destroy it in breeding places to decrease number of dengue fever patients. For the long term, this study aims to improve the cognitive and affective abilities of the resident and affective ability to the resident in destroying the wigglers which causes the dengue fever. This study conducted to research and development study. For the first step, the researcher did the survey, collect and analyze the data about residents’ behavior in destroying the wiggler. Second step, the researcher developed the participatory counseling to develop public awareness in destroying the wiggler. The existence of some society element such as; the head of household, RT, RW, Dasa Wisma community, Majelis Taklim, lurah, camat, Jumatik and health workers have their own effort in decreasing the wiggler. The less of their participation is exactly became the main reason of the existence of dengue fever which seems cannot be controlled by the citizen so there is always dengue fever in the society. Keywords : participatory counseling, dengue fever, wiggler

Abstract

Kopyor is one of the most valuable germplasm in Indonesia. However, the production of true-to-type seedlings with 100 % kopyor nuts is still limited because the nut would not germinated naturally. The only technique available to solve the problem is by using embryo culture technique. However, the technique is limited especially on the low of success rate after acclimatisation step (less than 40 %). Therefore, we report a new breakthough technique for producing kopyor seedling using embryo culture technique especially on acclimatisation step. Our results showed that the best acclimatisation step could be done by culturing 4-month old seedlings in a culture room with 14 hour light with intensity around 1400 lux and 10 hours in the dark. Seedlings were cultured for three months in mini growth chamber with 95 % relative humidity level and temperature around 26 to 28 0C. The survival rate after acclimatisation step on the seedlings with full root was more than 95 %, while for the seedlings without root was c.a 90 %. The acclimatized seedlings then underwent to screenhouse for 1 year befor being field planting. Up to now, more than 170 seedlings of Kopyor have been transfer to the field for developing seed garden of Kopyor in Purwokerto, Indonesia. In the future, creating a breeding program to produce hybrid of Kopyor will be useful for poverty reduction programmes in Indonesia. Keywords: acclimatization, growth chamber, hybrid of kopyor, seed genebank

Abstract

This study was carried out aiming to develop a learning model "GenDerAng" in high school physics learning , especially SMA level . The learning model "GenDerAng" is a high school physics learning model that applying the concept of stimulus by Generate-Derivate-and Accomplishing the interest and motivation of female students in physics lessons to improve their understanding of the concepts that are considered complex. Generate , Derivate , and Accomplishing a core processing stages of learning model " GenDerAng" start of apperception in the form of raise female studentsinterest in physics (Generate), a decrease of physics concepts that are considered complex for female students (Derivate), and ends with the achievement of students understanding women on the concept (Accomplishing). Abstract

Abstract- Waste is a complex problem that is common in urban areas. The aims of this research to study the seedlings growth of Samanea saman on landfills media of Klotok Kediri. Breeding experiments was conducted during June-November 2013 on passive landfills and Laboratory of Biological Plant Physiology UNP Kediri. The factors of this research consist of a media i.e soil-compost, landfills, and landfills-compost. The second factor consist of fertilizers i.e without fertilizers, NPK with recommended, and arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi. The observed data was a percentage of normal living plants, plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves. The results of this research that the landfills and landfills-compost was reduced the growth of Samanea saman seedling up to 20%. Application of arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi (AMF) was helped growth seedling up to 100% on landfills and landfills-compost media. AMF was increased significantly of plant height, diameter growth, stem, and leaf number of Samanea saman seedling on the landfills. Keywords: Samanea saman, CMA, TPA Klotok

Abstract

This research aimed: 1) to develop Save learning model, 2) to examine the feasibility of Save learning model  , 3) to examine the effectiveness of Save learning model. This research employed a research and development (R & D) model referring to four D model from Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel encompassing define, design, develop and disseminate stages. This study was conducted only up to develop stage. The data collection was conducted using questionnaire, observation sheet, and test. The data of cognitive learning outcome and social interaction was analyzed using t-test. The result of validation by experts and practitioners on Save learning model showed the mean score of 93.92 with very good category. The result of small group trial viewed from three aspects of syntax, learning set, and effect of model on student’s positive character establishment showed the mean score of 87.00 with good category. The statistic test on cognitive learning outcome and social interaction provided a significant difference with the score of field trial higher than that of control class. Considering the result of research, the following conclusions could be drawn. 1) The development of Save learning model performed by taking into account the characteristics of the model that is the syntax, social system, support system, student role, teacher role, instructional effects, and nurturant effects, 2) The Save learning model was feasible to support the learning, 3) Save learning model could improve the students’ learning outcome and social interaction. It could be seen from the significantly different mean scores of learning outcome and social interaction between control and trial classes, in which the score of trial class (using Save model) was better than that of control class (using lecturing method). Keywords: save model, social interaction, learning outcome
