Abstract

Upaya mencari obat baru untuk mengobati penyakit malaria di negara Indonesia telah dilakukan, dimana banyak daerah endemis di Indonesia masih dijumpai penyakit Malaria seperti wilayah kepulauan Papua dan Maluku.Berbagai etnis di Indonesia memiliki khasanah budaya yang berbeda.Pada setiap etnis, terdapat beranekaragam kearifan lokal masyarakat, termasuk di dalamnya adalah pemanfaatan tumbuhan untuk pengobatan tradisional.Masyarakat adat kesultanan Jailolo merupakan salah satu etnis yang masih menggunakan tanaman sebagai obat tradisional.Pengetahuan lokal ini merupakan potensi untuk pengembangan obat dan ramuan anti malaria baru terstandar.Kebijakan terhadap pengembangan ramuan obat ini perlu dilakukan untuk menghindari maraknya Biopiracy dan Intellectual Property yang dilakukan oleh pihak luar terhadap kekayaan plasma nutfah Indonesia. Tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan sebagai ramuan obat anti Malaria masyarakat adat Kesultanan Jailolo yaitu tumbuhan Justicia ganarussa, Alstonia scholais L. Carica papaya L. Orthosiphon aristatus, Tinospora crispa  Miers, Lansium domesticum, Ficus septica Brum L.Phyllanthus niruri L. dan Curcuma domestica Val.. Temuan penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat memanfaatkan 9 tumbuhan obat yang diramu dalam tiga ramuan campuran dan enam ramuan tunggal.

Abstract

Alelokimia merupakan metabolit sekunder yang diproduksi oleh tanaman, yang tidak terlibat langsung pada proses pertumbuhan tanaman. Alelokimia ditemukan di berbagai bagian tanaman dengan konsentrasi dan komposisi yang bervariasi, dan jalur untuk melepaskan senyawa ini kelingkungan tergantung dari spesies tanamannya.  Tanaman dapat menggunakan alelokimia untuk berkomunikasi dengan lingkungannya.  Tujuan dari artikel ini yaitu untuk mengkaji peranan alelokimia yang diproduksi oleh tanaman pada bidang pertanian.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari kajian artikel ini yaitu bahwa alelokimia yang diproduksi oleh tanaman dapat dikeluarkan melalui akar tanaman dan volatilisasi dari bagian tanaman lain.  Alelokimia memberikan dampak positif bagi lingkungan sekitar tanaman, sehingga dapat memberikan keuntungan bagi hasil produksi tanaman.  Dampak positifnya antara lain alelokimia dapat memanagement gulma, mengatur pertumbuhan tanaman, dan juga sebagai pestisida.  Keuntungan ini dapat terjadi jika alelokimia yang diproduksi oleh tanaman dalam konsentrasi yang rendah.  Alelokimia juga menjadi sinyal bagi mikroorganisme yang bersimbiosi dengan tanaman.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research that aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes and activities of students of class V Elementary School 3 Komet Banjarbaru City on learning materials of water by using cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study are students of grade V Elementary School 3 Komet Banjarbaru City in the academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 24 people. This study consists of 2 cycles with 2 meetings each cycle. Cycle 1 deals with water evaporation and water condensation and cycle 2 deals with melting and freezing water. The study was conducted for 6 months. The results of cognitive learning are obtained through pretest and posttest, character traits and social skills derived from observations during the learning process, as well as student activity obtained through observation during learning. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the classical learning completeness increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 ie from 45.83% to 94%. Character behaviors and social skills increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2 of the category good enough to be good. Student activity has been well evenly in cycle 1 and cycle 2.

Abstract

Educational design research aims to 1) determine the critical thinking skills of gredeX MIPA MAN Kapuas’students, 2) explain the improvement of critical thinking skills.The research used Tessmer's formativeevaluation design with following steps 1) expert review, 2) one-to-one evaluation, 3) small group evaluationand 4) field test evaluation as the focus of the research.The research was conducted for five months (February-June 2018) at MAN Kapuas Central Kalimantan Province.The research subjects of the student worksheets’development invertebrata concept are the students of grade X MIPA 2 with 27 students in total. The researchsubjects in environmental changes concept are the students of grade X MIPA 1 with 30 students in total.Theresearch subjects in ecosystem concept are the students of grade X MIPA 1 with 33 students in total.Data criticalthinking skills (defining problems, making hypothesis, collecting data, analyzing data, and making conclusions)are obtained from students' ability to work on students worksheets and scored using the rubric of criticalthinking skills which is the scores obtained divided by the maximum score and expressed by%.The result ofthe research showed that student worksheets is usede effectively based on 1) Critical thinking skills of grade XMIPA MAN Kapuas’students were classified as good category such as defining problem, making hypothesis,collecting data, analyzing data, and making conclusion, 2) There are signs of improvement in critical thinkingskill, except the skill of making conclusions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type combined concept map to student’s creative thinking skill.The research was considered as quasi experiment research with quantitative approach. The population of this research was all of X degree students at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in academic year 2017/2018 consisting of nine classes. The selected sample is class X IPA 6 and X IPA 8 with cluster sampling technique. The research was designed using posttest only with nonequivalent grup design. Learning is carried out in two classes by applying the group investigation model and group investigation model combined concept map. Data collection techniques use essays test, observations, and documentation. Normality and homogeneity test are performed as a requirement of hypothesis test. Hypothesis test used is t test with 5% significance level. Data analysis assisted with SPSS 22. The research procedure includes planning, implementation and data analysis.The result of the research show that cooperative learning model of group investigation type combined concept map influence to student’s creative thinking skill. Aspects of creative thinking skills examined consist of aspects of originality, fluency, flexibility, and elaboration.

This Study Aims To Determine The Effect Of Cooperative Type Group Investigation (GI) Model With Flash Card Media On Critical Thinking Skills To Student Of Grade VII Students Of SMP Negeri 1 Kerek. Based On The Observations In SMP Negeri 1 Kerek Tuban About The Learning Process Has Not Been Maximized According To The Demands Of The 2013 Curriculum That Enable Students To Learn. The Biology Learning Process Still Uses Conventional Learning Methods, Ranging From Lecturing And Recording, And Using Unattractive Media To Student Learning, Resulting In Passive And Un-Creative Students. Learning Is Teacher-Centered, So Students' Critical Thinking Skills Are Not Developed Optimally. Efforts To Cope With The Learning Model That Enables Students In The Form Of Cooperative Type Group Investigation (GI) Model With Flash Card Media. This Research Is An Experimental Research With Pretest-Postest Control Group Design Design. The Population Of All Students Of Class VII SMP Negeri 1 Kerek Academic Year 2017/2018, Which Amounted To 8 Classes, With Random Sampling Technique, Obtained Class C As Many As 30 Students As Experiment Class, And Class D As 30 Students As Control Class. Abstract

This research is a development research with the aim to produce product in the form of IPA Module of Solar Matter Based on Perspective Al-qur'an Verses In SMPIT and MTs class VII. The problems in this study include, the limited module used as a reference of learning that contain the relationship between science materials and verses of the Qur'an. So that raises the formulation of the problem how to develop IPA module Solar Problem Material Based on Perspectives Al-qur'an verses are valid, practical and effective. This research is expected to facilitate the comprehension of students in understanding the science materials related to the verses of Al-Qur'an and not only to increase the knowledge of students but also to play a supporting role in filling the students character education. This research development uses R & D method (Research and Development) with 4-D development model (Four D Model) with three stages of research that is Define (define), Design (design) and Develop (development). The module validation test generated in this study was conducted by 3 expert validators in the field of science education.The trials were conducted on 20 MTs students. Manbail Futuh Jenu class VII. Data collection to test the practicality of this research using observation and test techniques. Collecting data of effectiveness using questionnaire technique. The results show that the modules developed have met the valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

The environment is an object of unlimited biological studies. However, not every object is the scope of biological studies. To raise the potential of the surrounding environment to be an object of useful biological study needs a series of analysis process first. This study aims to analyze the potential of the surrounding environment that can be used as a biological learning resource. Based on the findings it is found that to raise the environment as a learning resource can be done through the steps: 1) analyzing the curriculum (KI, KD, and learning objectives); 2) ensuring the relevance of the chosen method with consideration; 3) ensuring the relevance of the chosen method with consideration of material characteristics to be taught; 4) determine the characteristics of student development with local geographic background; and 5) to ensure potential sources of learning from the environment by considering the relevance, adequacy, and consistency of the material with the applicable curriculum, the learning objectives to be achieved, and the achievement level of the learning materials.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the level of feasibility and effectiveness of science process skill instruments in contextual inquiry at microbiology courses in Biology Education Program of Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed). The r development esearchthrough the stages Analysis, Define, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The draft of science process skill instrument is validated by 2 microbiology material experts, 2 design learning experts, 2 evaluation experts, and 2 linguists. Individual trials were conducted on 3 students of biology education, small group trials were conducted on 9 students, and large group trials were conducted to 21 biology education students who were enrolled in microbiology courses. Data were analyzed using percentage technique and presented in frequency table form. The results of the study found that the development process skill instruments categorized as "feasible" and "effective" were used in microbiology lectures by applying contextual inquiry learning model.

Abstract

Teknik dasar yang harus dikuasi pada saat melaksanakan penelitian secara molekuler adalah isolasi DNA genom. Isolasi DNA bertujuan untuk memisahkan DNA dari komponen lainnya seperti lipid, protein, dan polisakarida. Secara umum, tahapan isolasi DNA untuk berbagai bahan adalah sebagai berikut : lisis sel atau jaringan yang efektif, denaturasi kompleks nukleoprotein, dan inaktivasi nuklease. Akan tetapi bahan yang berbeda akan membutuhkan metode yang berbeda juga. Salah satu jaringan yang sulit untuk dilakukan isolasi DNA adalah jaringan hewan.Jaringan hewan memiliki lemak dan protein yang sangat banyak sehingga dapat mengkontaminasi DNA itu sendiri.Tahapan lisis adalah tahapan penting yang mempengaruhi kesuksesan isolasi DNA hewan. Terdapat berbagai macam cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk melisiskan sel dan jaringan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perbandingan proses lisis dengan 4 perlakuan yang berbeda yakni lisis dengan menggunakan teknik Sambrook (1987) dimana jaringan di inkubasi dengan suhu 55 oC selama 12 jam, lisis dengan dengan metode Penggerusan yakni menggunakan mortar dan prestel, lisis dengan suhu 65 oC dalam inkubasi selama 2 jam, dan lisis dengan suhu 80 oC dalam inkubasi selama 10 menit. Setelah tahapan lisis selesai, ke empat perlakuan di ekstraksi dengan metode organik (Phenol Chlorofom Isoamyl Alcohol25 : 24 : 1), DNA kemudian cuci dengan menggunakan ETOH 70% dan pelet DNA dilarutkan dengan menggunakan buffer TE. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa teknik Sambrook menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik, berikutnya metode inkubasi 65 derajat selama 2 jam yang menunjukkan hasil baik, sementara metode lisis dengan mortar dan prestel, maupun dengan inkubasi 80 derajat selama 10 menit tidak menunjukkan hasi yang baik akibat terjadi kerusakan DNA.
