Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to; 1) Determine the feasibility of learning media in the form of a pop-up box based on problem solving as a media for learning physics, 2) to know the attractiveness of learning media in the form of pop-up box based on problem solving as a medium of physics learning. This research is an R & D research that adopts the development of Borg &Gallyang has been modified by Sugiono. Subjects in this study are students class VIII SMPN 5 Bandarlampung, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung and MTS Al-Huda JatiAgung with data collection instruments used in the form of questionnaires given to material experts, media experts, educators physics junior high school to test the quality of media learning and questionnaire response learners to know the interest / response of learners to learning media developed. The type of data generated is qualitative data which is analyzed by guidance criteria of rating category to determine product quality using Likert scale. The results of this study are; 1) Produce a pop-up box product as a learning medium; the product quality that has been developed is "very feasible" with percentage based on expert material appraisal, 89,67% by media expert equal to 89,77% and educator of junior high school with percentage equal to 91,11%; 2) Student response conducted with small group trial and VIII class trial in 3 (three) schools with 95.47% feasibility percentage and field trials in 3 (three) schools each at SMPN 5 Bandarlampung 92,54%, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung 95,50%, and MTS Al-Huda JatiAgung 93,6%.Keywords: Research and Development, Learning Media, Pop-Up BoxAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk; 1) Mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa kotak Pop-up berbasis problem solving sebagai media pembeljaran fisika; 2) Mengetahui kemenarikan media pembelajaran berupa kotak pop-up berbasis problem solving sebagai media pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D yang mengadopsi pengembangan dari Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Sugiono. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 5 Bandarlampung, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung  dan MTS Al-Huda Jati Agung dengan instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket yang diberikan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, tenaga pendidik fisika SMP untuk menguji kualitas media pembelajaran dan angketr espon peserta didik untuk mengetahui ketertarikan/respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis data yang dihasilkan adalah data kualitatif yang dianalisis dengan pedoman kriteria kategori penilaian untuk menentukan kualitas produk menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian ini adalah; 1) Menghasilkan produk berupa kotak pop-up sebagai media pembelajaran; kualitas produk yang telah dikembangkan adalah “sangat layak” dengan persentase berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, 89,67% oleh ahli media sebesar 89,77 % dan tenaga pendidik SMP dengan persentasese besar 91,11%; 2) Respon pesertadidik yang dilakukan dengan uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba lapangan kelasVIII di 3 (tiga) Sekolah dengan persentase kelayakan 95,47% dan uji coba lapangan di 3 (tiga) Sekolah masing-masing sebesardi SMPN 5 Bandarlampung 92,54%, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung 95,50%, dan MTS Al-Huda Jati Agung 93,6%.Kata kunci :Penelitian dan Pengembangan, Media Pembelajaran, Kotak Pop-Up

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the implementation of lesson study implementing STAD model to improve interaction, exploration and motivation of student in the dispersion topic at the XII IPA class of SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. This research is a descriptive study that uses LKS instrumen to control the concept, assessment questionnaire response of students towards learning and observation sheet. Students who became the subject of this research is XII IPA 1 students of theschool year 2011-2012. Based on discussion and reflection, we can conclude that 1) The implementation of lesson study can improve the students interaction one another, 2) The implementation of lesson study can improve the exploration by teachers to the students, 3) Lesson study activity on the subject of disperion can enhance students movation. Abstract

This research was held in order to contribute in mapping of the students’ critical thinking while they were taking Instructional Design (DesainPembelajaran) as their subjects. The implementation of this subject used Cooperative Learning Model to form their critical thinking. The scores in this research were obtained through some tests which were taken at the end of the lecture. Meanwhile, the study implementation was collected using the observation sheets. As results, the students’ critical thinking was mapped into three groups; they are upper, middle, and lower groups. The numbers respectively were 22.45%; 51.02%; and 26.53%. Furthermore, the upper group’s students also gained the highest scores in the observed implementation. It is revealed that the discussion during the Learning Cooperative study was able to form the students’ critical thinking. Keyword: Critical thinking skill, cooperative learning.

Abstract

This study aim to influence seed weight per box of fermentation and stirring time on the success of the fermentation process. Research using a randomized block design with two factors. The first factor seed weight per box consists of: 15 kg, 20 kg and 25 kg. The second factor, while stirring during fermentation: stirring during 48 hours (1 time), and a stirring time of 48, 72, and 96 hours (3 times) fermentation. The results showed fermentation of cocoa beans each 15 kg, 20 kg and 25 kg has no effect on changes in temperature, pH, total acid and fermentation index. The highest temperature during fermentation at 44-45oC, while stirring time (aeration) significantly affects the pH, fermentation index and slaty beans. Stirring 3 times better than one times in terms of pH (5.6), fermentation index of 1.62 and 3.4% slaty beans.Keywords: fermentation, seed weight, stirring, index fermentation

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran obyektif dan akurat terkait prestasi akademik ditinjau dari jalur masuk (SNMPTN, SBMPTN, dan Mandiri) dan program kuliah (S-1 Reguler dan Percepatan APK)  mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan MIPA FKIP di Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak.  Metode dan bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-komparasional dan deskriptif-korelasional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 620 mahasiswa diambil menggunakan proportioned stratified random sampling. Data berbentuk Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) dan Lama (tahun) Studi Mahasiswa dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik dokumenter (bersumber dari SIAKAD Biro Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan Universitas Tanjungpura.Berdasarkan analisis data, secara deskriptif diperoleh temuan bahwa prestasi akademik (IPK) mahasiswa lulusan (wisudawan 5 tahun akhir) jurusan PMIPA FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak adalah 3,29 (termasuk kategori sangat memuaskan) dan rata-rata lama studi 4,79 tahun. Beberapa temuan lainnya adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Ada perbedaan (signifikan) prestasi akademik (IPK) mahasiswa lulusan jurusan PMIPA ditinjau dari jalur masuk (p ? 0,05). Tetapi, bila ditinjau dari program kuliah, perbedaan prestasi akademik mahasiswa tersebut tidak signifikan (p ? 0,05); (2) Ada perbedaan (signifikan) lama studi mahasiswa ditinjau dari jalur masuk dan program kuliah (p ? 0,05); Masa Studi mahasiswa Program S-1 Reguler lebih lama daripada masa studi mahasiswa Program S-1 Percepatan APK (Nonreguler); (3) Ada interaksi antara faktor jalur masuk dan program kuliah dalam mempengaruhi prestasi akademik dan lama studi mahasiswa; dan (4) Ada hubungan negatif cukup kuat dan signifikan antara prestasi akademik dan lama studi mahasiswa ( r = -0,536,  p ? 0,05).            Sejalan dengan temuan penelitian di atas, kepada pimpinan fakultas di FKIP Untan  direkomendasikan, antara lain. memperbaiki pangkalan data (data-base) mahasiswa dan menerjemahkannya sebagai salah satu masukan dalam proses perencanaan program pengelolaan insitusi yang terkait Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Kata Kunci :  analisis prestasi akademik, lama studi,  jalur masuk, program kuliah

Abstract

The goal of this research is to obtain the gain of students conceptual understanding in applied cognitive conflict approach in heat and temperature. Method of the research is experiment that conducted at 10th grade in one of senior high school in Bandung. Cognitive conflict approach was used on experiment group while control group used conventional approach. Data were collected through pretest, posttest, questionaire, and observation sheet. Data was analized statistically by t-test. The result showed that normalized gain of conceptual understanding of experiment group and control group 0.57 , 0.35 respectively. It showed that average of normalized gain of experiment group is higher than that of control group significantly. The conclusion of the research was cognitive conflict approach increase students conceptual understanding. Besides that students and teachers responses gave positively.Key words: cognitive conflict, conceptual understanding

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity and level of readability of the Basic Concepts Science module with SETS vision (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) based on Science Literacy. Testing the validity of the module in this R & D (Research and Development) uses content validity and construct validity tests, while testing the readability level of the module using the crossing test technique. The results of the study show the level of validity of the modules developed is included in the category of very high validity so that the module can be used. Meanwhile, the results of the module readability level test show that the Basic Concepts Science Module Based on Science Literacy SETS developed in the category is quite easy to understand and ideal for use in learning.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the study of matter form roots and rank Numbers are still low.Therefore, the teacher will use the Direct Instruction model of which aim to improve student learning outcomes grade IX SMP 23 Pontianak. The subjects were students of grade IX A second semester of 2013/2014. The study lasted for 2 cycles, where in the first cycle showed an average of 71,60 while the learning outcomes in the second cycle, the average results of study show the score 72.14. The mastery learning of students in the first cycle is only 39% of all student in the class, whereas in the second cycle, mastery learning  reaches 57%.Teacher performance assessment by the observer in the first cycle on average 70.95 and the second cycle averaged 72.28. Thus, learning the Direct Instruction model can improve learning outcomes as well as the percentage of mastery learning . Based on the research results, the learning Mathematics Direct Instruction model can be used as an alternative learning strategies that can be implemented in an effort to improve learning outcame. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity of students in receiving lessons in the classroom. This classroom action research aims to improve mathematics learning activities in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kubu. The solution to low activity of students conducted by researchers through the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) of cooperative learning model. The research was conducted in three cycles to 32 students. The technique of data collecting is observation by teachers and collaborators. Student activity expressed by categories of high, medium or low, the success of NHT learning models is successful, less successful or unsuccessful. Activity criteria determined by the researchers themselves with 60% of students are actively involved. Activity in this research there are four, namely: 1). Visual activities, 60% 2). Oral activities, 90%, 3). Motor activities, 85%, 4). Writing activities, 100%. Thus the NHT learning models successfully increased student activity. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop android based  magnet learning media in Physics Education Study Program; (2) to know the feasibility of learning media of Magnet Power based on androiddi of Physics Education Program. This research is a research and development (R & D) which refers to the model proposed by Thiagarajan by using 4-D model (Four-D Models) which consists of four stages, namely: define, design stage, development (develop), and dissemination stage (disseminate). The feasibility of android-based learning media is validated by material experts and media experts. Based on the result of data analysis, it is concluded that (1) the learning media of Android-based Magnet Electricity in Physics Education Study Program successfully developed with 4-D (Four-D Models) model that is define, design, develop, and disseminate. (2) learning media of Magnet Power based on android in Physics Education Study Program developed feasible to use with very good  category.Keywords: Learning Media, Magnet Electricity, Android.
