Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk penghambat motivasi kaum muda Katolik dalam resepsi Sakramen Tobat di paroki St. Pius X Tenggarong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pendekatan deskriptif untuk memperoleh data yang berkaitan dengan bentuk penghambatan motivasi muda Katolik dalam resepsi Sakramen Tobat di Paroki St. Pius X Tenggarong. Hasil penelitian bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bentuk penghambat motivasi pemuda Katolik dalam menerima Sakramen Tobat. Bentukan penghambatan tersebut terbagi menjadi dua motivasi yang saling berkaitan, yaitu motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik. Motivasi intrinsik meliputi: pengetahuan dosa, pemahaman makna Sakramen Tobat, kesiapan batin, kesibukan pribadi,dan pengetahuan tentang frekuensi pengukuhan sakramen penebusan dosa. Sedangkan motivasi ekstrinsik meliputi: pendampingan, pendalaman iman, jadwal penerimaan Sakramen Tobat, dorongan dari keluarga, dan pengaruh teman.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe how the participation of young Catholics in the Sunday Service at St. Francis Xavier Multi-station Kaliorang, is seen from the forms of participation and the obstacles to their participation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the forms of participation of young Catholics in the celebration of the Worship of the Word on Sundays consist of two forms, namely; (a) direct participation, and (b) indirect participation. Direct participation is being a choir officer, reading I and II, psalmist, the prayer of the people, song guide, order officer, and delivering offerings. Meanwhile, indirect participation is by being a parking attendant, cleaning the church environment, making altars, and providing moral and material support, especially from young Catholics who are already working. The direct participation rate from the calculation of the average answer to the questionnaire found 22 respondents (52.6%) with a high participation rate, 13 respondents (31.7%) moderate participation rate, 5 respondents (12.2%) low participation rate, and 1 respondent (2.4%) did not participate. Respondents' answers to indirect participation questions, obtained data from 17 respondents (41.5%) with high participation rates, 15 respondents (36.6%) moderate participation rates, 6 respondents (14.6%) low participation rates, and 3 respondents (7.3%) did not participate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prasyarat dan faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi dan mengidentifikasi pola partisipasi kontributif dan partisipasi siswa Katolik SMP di paroki St. Lukas Temindung Samarinda dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pada pola partisipasi kontributif siswa akan bertanya jika ada beberapa kata dalam materi pelajaran yang tidak dipahami, menyampaikan pendapat terkait cara belajar dan hanya memberikan pendapat jika diminta oleh guru, berani memberikan disclaimer dan tetap bertanya atas bimbingan guru dan mengerjakan tugas jika diingat. Abstract

The monogamous and indissoluble nature of marriage is considered irrelevant to individual freedom. This departs from social phenomena that show the existence of ambiguity, confusion, and even mistakes in the meaning of marriage. Through the study and literature review of the Book of Proverbs 5:15-20 and the Gospel of John 4:7-15, it is found that faithfulness and freedom are not contradictory, and the spiritual meaning of fidelity in marriage is found. The perspective of Proverbs 5:15-20 emphasizes fidelity, the key to the joy of marriage. The Gospel of John 4:7-15 confirms the meaning of faithfulness in the Christian family by making Jesus the source of faithfulness. Faithfulness comes from faith in Jesus. Loyalty in the household embodies God's radical love for humans.

Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic and advances in communication technology are new realities that the Church today has to face. These changes greatly affected the task of preaching and the effort to pass on the faith and values ​​of the gospel to young people. This paper aims to overview today's Catholic youth and their reality of contributing to the Church's evangelization work to young people. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with questionnaires and descriptive analysis methods. The author finds that proclaiming the faith to young people through youth community activities such as Orang Muda Katolik and social media is very contextual to the lives of young people. Through youth activities, faith is conveyed in a way that follows the teachings of the Church and is contextual to the active lives of young people. The Church also strongly supports the proclamation of the faith through media as social media as a new way of evangelization. Social media is part of the lives of today's Catholic youth. Religious people also contribute to the spread of Christian values ​​through social media for young people.

Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to see how far young people serve others in their lives, especially those who need young people's help. The purpose of this writing also wants to actualize how important it is for young people to serve one another. The method used in this paper is descriptive analysis to see the characteristics of each questionnaire filled out by young people. In addition, the writer wants to know what fears exist in young people when they want to serve. The data obtained through a questionnaire were 100 respondents, namely young people aged 15-25 years in Mahakam Hulu Regency. The results of testing the hypothesis prove that the feeling of caring for young people in serving others is still reasonably good. Through this writing, the author wants to make it relevant to the life of Jesus and His disciples in terms of helping the people in Jerusalem and its surroundings.

Abstract

This study describes the understanding of life after death according to the Dayak Bahau tribe and the Catholic Church. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach with interview methods and secondary data collection. The results of the study show that the Dayak Bahau and the Catholic Church both believe in eternal life. In eternal life, people who die can experience a happy eternal life as well as an unhappy eternal life. The Dayak Bahau tribe and the Catholic Church believe that the life circumstances experienced by those who die in eternal life are absolutely the authority of the Almighty. The Traditional Ceremony of Death in the Culture of the Dayak Bahau tribe which is carried out has in common with the recommendation to pray for people who die in the Catholic Church, namely that the deceased experience the convenience of achieving a happy eternal life.

Abstract

This research describes the positive and negative impacts and benefits of online learning in Catholic Religious Education and Moral Education subjects for teachers, students, and parents at SDK 1 WR. Soepratman Samarinda. This qualitative study used data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation, and documentation, to collect data from 10 informants: one principal, a teacher, four students, and four parents. The results of the study show that in the online learning process, there are positive and negative impacts that affect smooth learning, namely, teachers and students are not all proficient in using technology, students do not have learning facilities, and learning activities are carried out in the network. So, parents help children in launching learning activities by seeking learning tools. The benefits of online learning for teachers are taking advantage of technology, managing time management, finding supporting sources, delivering material quickly, and keeping up with the times. The benefits for students are being able to study anywhere, anytime with anyone, make study schedules, seek information, and establish good relations with parents. The benefits for parents are participating in learning with children, establishing good social relations, being educators, being friends, being a family for children, and working with teachers.

Abstract

Quality education is an indicator of the success of educational institutions in implementing the role of education management appropriately. This article intends to describe and examine the application of the role of direction and control in educational management at the Panggudi Luhur Domenico Savio Junior High School Semarang. Data obtained through in-depth interviews with informants and documentation. Data analysis uses the method discovered by Miles and Huberman. The research concludes that Panggudi Luhur Junior High School Domenico Savio Semarang applies the function of directing and controlling function in education management well. The directing function is carried out by the principal by guiding, suggesting, giving encouragement, directions and instructions so that teachers and employees personally and communally can work hard, work fast, work productively as well as cooperate and work together well, correctly, according to their duties and functions. Internal and external control is carried out by conducting academic supervision to determine the quality and quantity of teacher work in carrying out its role in planning, implementing and evaluating learning based on quality standards set in the framework of achieving the school's vision, mission and goals.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Child-Friendly Schools (CFS) policies, especially in efforts to strengthen religious moderation from an anti-violence perspective. This qualitative study uses data collection methods in observation, documentation, and interviews with three informants, then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of CFS has been endeavored to be as good as possible. The principle of implementing this policy is contained in the core values of the school's vision and mission, namely the values of love and care. Implementing CFS policies, especially in strengthening religious moderation from the perspective of non-violence, allows several changes in restorative practices in schools to create superior generations in the future. Anti-violence, if formulated based on the school's vision and mission values, religious and human values, and if implemented in the CFS program, can foster tolerance in students and teach them commendable behavior so they can fight against radicalism.
