Abstract

Happy hypoxia is an asymptomatic condition where oxygen saturation decreases<90% in Covid-19 patients. However, many people do not know the signs andsymptoms of happy hypoxia. Preventive measures are needed to prevent theworst possible occurrence of happy hypoxia, one of which is health education.The purpose of this community service activity is to make the community awareof the occurrence of happy hypoxia. The activity was carried out for one day for18 families of patients in the emergency room at Panti Waluya Sawahan Hospital,Malang. The patient's family is given a pre-test to measure the understanding ofhappy hypoxia, then given health education, then given a post-test sheet. Theresults obtained in the form of increasing knowledge from the less to goodcategory. This health education activity is included in preventive efforts so thatthe public can recognize the occurrence of happy hypoxia to minimize themortality rate of Covid-19 patients.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition, and tends to want to try new things so that it can have a negative impact on adolescents. Lack of knowledge related to reproductive health can cause reproductive health problems for adolescents. It is believed that improving the degree of reproductive health to change behavior in order to live a healthy life can be done by providing reproductive health education. Understanding and information on reproductive health is very much needed at this phase and education can be done through the provision of counseling or which includes material about the changes that occur when entering adolescence. The purpose of this activity is to educate young people regarding reproductive health issues. The method of implementing this community service activity was carried out on productive age teenagers at SMA Negeri 2 Mataram, due to limited space and the obligation to apply health protocols. The participants of this activity were represented by 25 students who were selected based on membership in theYouth Red Cross (PMR) extracurricular and the School Health Unit. (UKS). This activity is carried out with the mechanism of counseling, information, education, through health promotion media in the form of leaflets and counseling. Accurate information related to adolescent's concern for their reproductive health. The majority of SMA Negeri 2 Mataram students still think that reproductive health is something they do not fully understand. For this reason, they need to be given information to better understand reproductive health. In conclusion, providing education to adolescents about reproductive health can increase the knowledge and understanding of adolescents about the reproductive system. The PKM team evaluates what has been conveyed by asking the youth to mention a healthy reproductive system. This activity provides benefits for students of SMA Negeri 2 Mataram who previously did not know about good reproductive health to better understand their reproductive health.

Abstract

Breast engorgement is the blockage of milk due to narrowing of the lactiferousducts or by glands that are not emptied completely. Breast engorgement is oftenexperienced by postpartum mothers. Several interventions that can be done toreduce breast swelling are pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Cabbageleaf compress is one of the non-pharmacological treatments that can be used asan effort to reduce breast swelling. Based on this, it is necessary to conducthealth education about the use of cabbage leaves as an effort to reduce breastswelling in postpartum mothers. This health education activity was carried out onAugust 14, 2020 in Dasan Baru, Sukarara Village, Jonggat District, CentralLombok Regency. Posttest results showed that postpartum mothers experiencedan increase in knowledge after being given health education about the use of cabbage leaves as an effort to reduce breast swelling. After the service activities,postpartum mothers are expected to be able to use cabbage leaves as an effortto reduce swelling in the breasts of postpartum mothers.

Abstract

The high prevalence of anemia has negative consequences such as the firstdisturbance and inhibition of growth, both body cells and brain cells, while thesecond deficiency of Hb in the blood results in a lack of oxygen beingcarried/transferred to body cells and to the brain. The incidence of anemia inpregnant women in Indonesia is still high, namely 37.1, the prevalence ofanemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is 37.1%. cases of anemia in pregnant women have increased every year, namely in 2015 at the Sengkol HealthCenter as many as 200 cases, and in 2016 as many as 251 cases. Hemoglobinlevels as an early detection of anemia in pregnant women.His communityservice partner is the Chair of STIKes Yarsi Mataram and the Head of theMidwifery Study Program for the Bachelor program. This service to thecommunity uses the method of counseling and checking the hemoglobin ofpregnantwomen using the "easy touch" Hb meter. The results obtained fromthis service were the examination of 30 pregnant women in two polindes areasof the Sengkol Public Health Center, namely Tanak Awu Village and KetareVillage. From all participants, the average Hb level was 10.5 g/dL, the averageage of pregnant women was 20 years. The participants felt that this activity wasvery beneficial for them for the health of themselves and their fetus. Participantsalso hope that this community service activity can be carried out regularly

Abstract

Anemia has a very negative effect, especially for babies in the womb, including itcan cause miscarriage, babies born not quite months, babies are not fullydeveloped, bleeding during childbirth, irregular contractions, disruption during thedelivery process and susceptibility to infection can even result in a lack ofproduction of breast milk. Aim of community services is to improve knowledgeabout prevention of anemia. Methods: The implementation of community serviceactivities is carried. Results: pregnant women who attended were veryenthusiastic, after processing the questionnaire before and after the provision ofhealth education, there was an increase in knowledge. Conclusion:Implementation of providing health education to increase knowledge for thecommunity with risks that may occur with the condition of the community is verynecessary to be done Apart from being an enhancer and an increase inknowledge, it is also an action to reduce the risk of health problems for thecommunity

LENTERA (Jurnal PengabdianISSN 2774-812X (print); ISSN 2774-9274 (online)Vol. 2 No. 2 Juli Tahun 2022 pp. 232-237233 | LENTERA (Jurnal pengabdian)ABSTRACTDiabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease, where the condition of glucose levels in the blood exceedsnormal limits. This is because the body cannot release or use insulin adequately. Insulin isa hormone released by the pancreas and is the main substance responsible formaintaining blood sugar levels in the body in a balanced condition. An increase in bloodglucose levels is a common symptom that occurs in people with diabetes mellitus. If leftunchecked, it can cause various complications, both acute and chronic. The purpose ofthis community service is to determine the sugar levels of people with DiabetesMellitus.The method applied in community service activities is the examination of bloodsugar levels in the community by taking blood specimens. The results obtained from 30people with diabetes mellitus that most of the respondents had Blood Sugar Levels <200mg/dL as many as 3 people (10%) and 200 mg/dL 27 people (90%). Patients withDiabetes Mellitus were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity of conductingfree blood level checks, and posyandu cadres were very active during the activity,especially when preparing for implementation so that the measurement activities ransmoothly.It is advisable to check blood sugar levels when carried out on an ongoingbasis to prevent non-communicable diseases as early as possible, especially for peoplewho have the potential to experience the disease and people who already have DiabetesMellitus can control their blood sugar levels so that they remain within reasonable limitsso that signs and symptoms do not occur unwanted symptoms.

Abstract

Earthquake disasters can cause tremendous impacts on all aspects of the lives ofdisaster victims, both physical, social and psychological aspects. Earthquakevictims not only experience emergency problems such as physical damage dueto the earthquake, but also mental and psychological health problems, such as:anxiety (anxiety), stress (pressure), depression (mood), and trauma. Depressioncan have a variety of adverse effects on body health. Starting from sleepdisorders (insomnia and hypersomnia), social relationships or interactions, work,eating patterns, destructive behaviors, even suicide. So that it requires therapythat can reduce the condition of depression through the Prophet's treatmenttherapy, namely: cupping as an alternative to pharmacological treatment. Thisservice activity aims to reduce the level of depression in clients who experiencedepression after the earthquake in Pasir Putih Village.

Abstract

Hypertension is a big and serious problem worldwide. The incidence ofhypertension is more and is often experienced by elderly, one factors that causehypertension, including poor diet, such as consuming foods high in sodium andfat. So that elderly who have health problems really need family support. Data onhypertension sufferers in elderly in Melase village are 30 people with an averageblood pressure of around 140/90 mmHg to 190/110 mmHg which shows that thedegree of hypertension is very high. The purpose of this service is to strengthensupport of elderly family so that it can reduce the degree of hypertension The target of this service is families who have Hypertension Elderly in Melasevillage with activities to provide education to families about the importance offamily support for elderly as well as about hypertension and prevention ofrecurrence of hypertension so that the blood pressure of th elderly is alwayscontrolled within normal limits. The activity has been carried out well according toplan, the family understands by controlling eating and psychological patterns ofelderly and gives more attention and expects similar activities to be carried outregularly in other hamlets in the same village.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a disease characterized by the occurrence of hyperglycemiaand disturbances of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism associated with absoluteor relative deficiency of insulin action and/or secretion. Symptoms that people withDiabetes Mellitus complain about are polydipsia, polyuria, polyphagia, weight loss, andtingling. Diabetic foot ulcers are chronic complications arising from uncontrolledhyperglycemia, one of which is complications in the form of vascular disorders, chroniccomplications of diabetes mellitus in the form of open sores on the feet which can beaccompanied by local tissue death.The purpose of community service: is to identify theknowledge of the elderly about diabetes mellitus and identify the risk of developingdiabetic foot ulcers. The time required from preparation to implementation is 2 weeks.Respondents: All elderly people with a diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus as many as 30people, participated in this activity until it was completed. The results identifiedknowledge of the elderly in a good category and from 30 elderly people 23 people wereidentified as having a risk of developing Diabetic foot ulcers. It is hoped that thePuskesmas can provide education about diet, physical activity and the use ofappropriate footwear to prevent the occurrence of Diabetic foot ulcers

Abstract

Stunting is a short and very short body condition that exceeds the deficit of -2 SD belowthe median length or height. Stunting can be diagnosed through the anthropometricindex of height for age which reflects the linear growth achieved in pre and post deliverywith an indication of long-term malnutrition, resulting from inadequate nutrition.Indonesia is still high and is a health problem that must be addressed. Indonesia is in the5th highest rank with the prevalence of stunting children. After India, China, Nigeria andPakistan. The prevalence of stunting in NTB Province is 37.2%, higher than the nationalaverage of 29.6%. That number also increased when compared with the year. 2016which amounted to 29.9% or an increase of 7.29%. For the highest prevalence of stuntingin Sumbawa Regency, namely 41.9% followed by Central Lombok 39.9%, Dompu 38.3%,Mataram City 37.8%, North Lombok 37.6%, Bima 36.6%, Bima City 36 , 3%, West Lombok36.1% and East Lombok 35.1%. Stunting is a linear growth that fails to reach its geneticpotential as a result of poor diet and infectious diseases. In this service activity themethod used is health education about the causes of stunting. Health educationactivities on the factors causing stunting as an effort to increase knowledge of thefactors causing stunting, which were carried out in Geguntur Village, Sekarbela District,Mataram City on May 30, 2022, were attended by 35 mothers. The results of theparticipants' pretest and posttest showed an increase in knowledge about healtheducation on the factors that cause stunting. After this community service activity, it ishoped that the mother's attitude is also positive regarding the factors that causestunting and can apply it in daily life so that stunting events can be prevented early.
