Magistrorum et Scholarium: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JMS) merupakan ajang penyajian hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan akses terbuka bagi para insan akademisi, peneliti, mahasiswa, dosen maupun praktisi. JMSmerupakan publikasi berkala yang diterbitkan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) Salatiga, terbit tiga kali dalam setahun (bulan Agustus, Desember dan April). Fokus JMS adalah menyebarluaskan karya inovasi dari aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat berbagai disiplin ilmu dengan rupa-rupa topik yang memiliki dampak bagi masyarakat dan bangsa. JMS merupakan bagian dari komitmen UKSW dalam menjalin relasi yang baik dengan masyarakat dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic requires students to study online and limit outdoor activities. Thus, students have the potential to eye problems, because the afcing duration the monitor is longer and reduced of outdoor activity. The purpose of this community service is to provide eye health education, visual test, and distribution of glasses to elementary school students. The methods; eye test, education and interviews. The results, 216 students and 38 students have eye problems and had to wear glasses. This visual problem is caused by the frequency and duration of using the cellphone for a long time. It can be concluded that all students get that minus glasses and anti-blue light glasses and eye health education.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Penelusuran Perkara (SIPP) application developed by the Supreme Court is a form of implementing Information Disclosure in the Court. With the rapid development of technology and information, it has a significant impact, one of which is in the field of archiving carried out in the Court. This system contains a list of case files that can be used by all courts in Indonesia. This service is carried out using a participatory method where students participate in helping work in matters relating to the use of SIPP. In its implementation, it indirectly provides reliable information for the public as part of transparency in the court process, so as to increase public confidence in the court process and law in Indonesia.

Abstract

Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic caused limitations in developing the affective aspect of students, namely social skills. The purpose of this psychoeducational activity is to improve social skills among peers in boarding school students at SMP Muhammadiyah Purwodadi. The form of service activities is carried out with a psychoeducational model. Psychoeducation services are provided to students in grades 7 and 8. The total number of students participating in the activity is 90 students. Psychoeducation activities carried out in the form of lectures, discussions, and questions and answers and supported by modern learning media can increase students understanding of how to improve social skills among students. Students hope that similar activities can be carried out again in the future.

Abstract

Community service is undertaken effectively to implement knowledge outside of lectures and train students' hard and soft skills as well. Community service was conducted in rural Jlarem, Gladagsari District, Boyolali Regency. The issues raised in this community service are related to the education of children and society’s agricultural knowledge. Therefore, this community service aims respectively to create programs that can improve learning methods for students and increase the people's insight in terms of managing agriculture and farm products in rural Jlarem. This community service is to address learning difficulties due to virtual learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic and the scarcity of fertilizers and plant pests that are occurring in rural Jlarem. The method used in education was regularly tutoring with materials that have been prepared and followed by fun experiment s. Meanwhile, the agriculture tutorial was conducted by combining the presentation of the material by speakers and the following discussion. The satisfaction value is conducted by assessing questionnaires that are distributed to participants. The result of this community service is the implementation of learning guidance, and an agricultural extension program acquired a 3.6 GPA predicate of user activity respectively succeed.

Abstract

Badan Kerja Sama Antar Gereja (BKGS) di Salatiga merasa prihatin dengan pelayanan pendidikan agama Kristen di beberapa Sekolah Dasar (SD) baik SD Negeri maupun swasta di kota Salatiga yang ternyata masih memiliki kekurangan guru. Persoalan kurangnya guru PAK khususnya di tingkat Sekolah Dasar inilah yang kemudian BPGS merekrut sukarelawan guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Penyelenggara Bimas Kristen Salatiga menginformasikan bahwa sejak bulan September 2018 terdapat 12 SD yang tidak terlayani pendidikan agama bagi para siswa yang beragama Kristen dan 8 SD yang tidak terlayani pendidikan agama bagi para siswa yang beragama Katolik. Sebagai sukarelawan guru-guru tidak digaji selayaknya, hanya berdasarkan sukarela dari sekolah dimana mereka mengajar. Untuk itu, agar para relawan guru ini tetap dapat menjadi guru yang profesional diperlukan suatu workshop kompetensi dan untuk meningkatkan rasa keterpanggilan serta rasa kebersamaan diperlukan kegiatan spiritual dan sosial. Untuk itu dilakukan workshop penguatan modal sosial dan komunikasi bagi para relawan guru dengan tujuan para relawan guru menyadari akan pentingnya modal sosial sehingga memiliki semangat untuk terus menguatkan modal sosial yang dimiliki dan juga menerapkan komunikasi yang komunikatif serta produktif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan permainan edukatif, interaksi, dan workshop. Dari kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan para guru menyatakan memiliki manfaat terhadap materi yang sudah diberikan dan memperkuat modal sosial dalam melaksanakan tugas nya sebagai relawan guru PAK yang sedang dijalani, serta dapat memahami komunikasi yang efektif untuk diterapkan pada saat melakukan pengajaran dan pendampingan murid PAUD.

Abstract

Gereja Kristen Jawa Kana Pabelan adalah gereja yang baru didewasakan pada tahun 2019. Gereja ini memiliki permasalahan dalam hal penyebaran informasi kepada jemaat, baik informasi mengenai permasalahan administratif maupun penyebaran Firman Tuhan. Meskipun masa pandemi Covid 19 sudah berangsur berkurang, namun pembatasan kerumunan masih diterapkan, hal ini yang menjadi salah satu penyebab penyebaran informasi kurang maksimal. Pendekatan Teknologi Informasi melalui pembangunan website menjadi solusi untuk pemecahan masalah tersebut. Program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim Pengabdian Masyarakat FTI, adalah pembangunan website GKJ Kana Pebelan, pelatihan administrator website kepada admin gereja, dan pelatihan contributor berita kepada komisi pemuda/remaja. Keberadaan website sangat efektif dalam penyebaran informasi, hal ini dibuktikan sampai saat ini sudah 13.093 kali diakses, hal ini menjadi salah satu indikator bahwa website sering dikunjungi untuk mengakses informasi gereja.

Abstract

Literacy is not as simple as “ability to read and write”. Students deal a lot with reading, but they still have problems delivering their ideas in writing. This community service aims to assist students of SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga to write their experience they had in the form of recount text. The activity is scheduled when students are having their school break for a week. Instructions, guidelines, consultation, and accompaniment were provided to augment students’ first drafts. The result of this activity reveals that although it is considered difficult, writing is enjoyable. Students’ productivity shows their enthusiasm and eagerness to write about their past experiences. An anthology of recount texts is the final result of their work.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a bad impact on Indonesia's economy, particularly in Desa Parungseah, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Because of how difficult it is to market a product during the COVID-19 pandemic, many UMKM have seen a decrease in income, even to the point of going out of business. The object of this program is businessman UMKM from Desa Parungseah. The KKN-T program was held on Desa Parungseah, Kabupaten Sukabumi. The implementation method for this program is making a UMKM seminar about "Digital Marketing Strategist and How to Be a Good Businessman." We also assist them in making a website to advertise their product. As a result of this program, businessmen's knowledge of digital marketing has increased, as has their ability to advertise websites and Google businesses.

Abstract

Community service provides benefits to the community in the form of activities such as education to improve the quality of life. An orphanage is a social institution that shelters and cares for orphans. The community service carried out by UMM PMM students in group 37 batch 11 was in the form of education on healthy, halal and nutritious food and snacks for the children of the Taqwa Al-Qolbi orphanage, Malang. The participants in this service activity were residents of the Taqwa Al-Qolbi Orphanage, totaling 25 people and 6 caretakers of the orphanage. Educational activities in the form of identifying problems that often occur in the Taqwa Al-Qolbi orphanage and holding discussions with the orphanage's management to get more information about the consumption of food and snacks for the orphans. The series of stages of this service are preparation, provision of material, and implementation. Educational activities on healthy, halal and nutritious food and snacks are carried out by providing material through PowerPoint, poster and video animations to make it easier for orphanage children to understand the material and not get bored quickly, then implementing activities on the material that has been delivered in the form of giving real examples of the differences between healthy and unhealthy snacks healthy and making rice balls using halal, healthy and nutritious ingredients. The dedication activity ran smoothly and was full of enthusiasm from the orphans. Through this service program, it is hoped that the orphanage will increase the knowledge of halal, healthy and nutritious food.

Abstract

Best Student Choir Festival (BSCF) merupakan kompetisi paduan suara dua tahunan yang diselenggarakan BPK Penabur untuk menyeleksi peserta dari lingkungan sekolah Penabur di Jakarta untuk mengikuti ajang Penabur International Choir Festival (PICF). Pertama kali diadakan pada tahun 2017 dan selanjutnya pada 2019, namun sehubungan dengan pandemi Covid-19 maka kompetisi yang seyogyanya dijadwalkan pada tahun 2021 terpaksa dibatalkan. Pada pertengahan tahun 2021 BPK Penabur melibatkan Program Studi Seni Musik UKSW untuk mempersiapkan penyelenggaraan kompetisi paduan suara virtual. Dalam Kerjasama ini Program Studi Seni Musik Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana bertugas sebagai Tim Artistik dari penyelenggaraan BSCF 2022. Tim artistik bertugas untuk menyusun panduan artistik dan rangkaian kompetisi paduan suara virtual BSCF 2022. Berbekal latar belakang pengetahuan tentang musik dan pengalaman berpaduansuara, tim artistik melakukan beberapa modifikasi dan adaptasi kompetisi paduan suara agar BSCF 2022 dapat terselenggara dengan meriah namun tetap mematuhi aturan protokol kesehatan yang ada. Walaupun seluruh proses dan penyelenggaraan kompetisi dilakukan secara daring, BSCF 2022 berhasil mengantar delapan pemenang per kategori untuk lanjut ke ajang internasional PICF.
