Abstract

This research was carried out from the problems that have been observed by the authors at IAINBukittinggi which were found, where students were constrained in understanding the material because the wireless network material requires a lot of tools and materials so that it requires a lot of money, and the tools available in the laboratory are still lacking and there are tools that are needed. damaged where this has an impact on the understanding of the material that is still lacking in students about wireless networks. Therefore, the authors design learning media based on augmented reality with the aim of beinga medium that can support learning in order to help improve student understanding, and attract student interest in learning. The purpose of this research is to produce a design for supporting learning media for wireless networks based on augmented reality that is valid, practical and effective. The method used in this study is a research and development (R&D) method using the Luther-Sutopo version of the multimedia development life cycle (MDLC), which consists of six stages, namely concept (conception),design (design), collecting material (material collection). ), assembly (manufacture), testing (testing) and distribution (distribution). There are three product tests conducted in this study, namely validity test, practicality test and effectiveness test. Based on the product test results that have been carried out by theauthor of the validity test, the average value is 0.91 which is declared valid, and for the practicality test, the average value is 0.67 which is declared practical and for the effectiveness test, the average value is obtained. the average is 0.90 which is declared effective.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of interviews with grade VI teachers of SDN Manyaran 01 who stated that SDN Manyaran 01 experienced limited learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop Planetarium Toys media to improve student understanding of solar system material in grade VI SDN Manyaran 01. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D). Development with 5 stages, namely (1) Analysis, namely identifying existing problems at SDN Manyaran 01, (2) Design, designing learning media according to the needs of students and educators, (3) Development, developing learning media Planetarium Toys designed as needed, (4) Implementation, conducting field trials with the object of grade VIstudents using Planetarium Toys media in the learning process, (5) Evaluation, perfecting the product after conducting trials. The results showed that Planetarium Toys had an average percentage of the results of one media expert validation of 100% with the predicate (very feasible). While the validation of the second mediaexpert with a percentage of 94% can be said (very feasible) and the material expert validation has apercentage result of 86% so the media is declared (very feasible). Meanwhile, the results of the practicality test were obtained from the results of the class teacher's response of 81% (very feasible) and the overall student response had a result of 86% (very feasible). These results show that Planetarium Toys media can be a tool to increase the understanding of grade VI students in solar system material. Based on the results of the study, the researcher concluded that Planetarium Toys media provides a solution to the problem of limited learning media at SDN Manyaran 01. The goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model on the science learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 68 Palembang. This research method uses an experimental method with a True Experimental Design type of research and the research design is a Posttest-Only control design. The population of this study were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri 68 Palembang, while the research sample was 27 students of class IV A as the experimental class and 30 students of class IV B as the control class. Data collection techniques that researchers use are test, observation, and documentation techniques, while data analysis techniques uset-test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the average science learning outcomes in fourth grade students at SD Negeri 68 Palembang in the experimental class after being given the Problem Based Learning model was 81.13, while the control class average was 70.19. Thus, there was an increase in science learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 68 Palembang after being given the Problem Based Learning model. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was found that the value oftcount ttable or 3.442 > 1.673034. Thus, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted or the use of the Problem Based Learning model on science learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 68 Palembang is effective.
