Abstract

Local wisdom has its own value and function in society. In addition, local wisdom is part of the culture in society which is an integral part of the language and society itself. In this case, how to explore the potential of local local wisdom and bring it up in a literary work. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the effect of the local wisdom value approach and creative problem solving models on the ability to reproduce students' literary works. From the results of the study using a two-way analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05, it was obtained that the F0 value was smaller than the Ftabel value, namely 0.039 <4.08 and sig. = 0.536> 0.05. There is a significant effect of creative problem solving models on the ability to produce literary works. From the results of the study using a two-way analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05, the F0 value is greater than the Ftabel value, namely 5.635> 4.08 and sig. = 0.023 <0.05. There is a significant influence the local wisdom approach has on the ability to produce literary works. From the results of the study using a two-way analysis of variance with a significant level of 0.05, the F0 value is greater than the Ftabel value, namely 11.949> 4.08 and sig. = 0.001 <0.05.Keywords: local wisdom, creative problem solving models, reproduction of literary works

Abstract

Abstract: Writing is one of the skills that is difficult to master because in writing, a person must exert all his abilities. So even in writing short story, often a writer has difficulty in getting ideas, themes, or topics to be writing. Ideas, themes, or topics will be easily obtained if the writer has extensive experience, insight, and knowledge. Extensive experience, insight, and knowledge can be obtained from social interaction. Based on this fact, the researchers suspect the relationship between social interaction ability with writing short story ability. Researchers assume if the higher of students ability will be. Therefore, researchers conducted research to find out the relationship between social interaction ability to writing short story ability. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. From this research it is expected to know whether there is a relationship between social interaction ability with writing short story ability. After doing research, the results show that there is a relationship between social interaction ability with writing short story ability.Key words: Ability, Social Interaction, and Writing Short Story.

Abstract

The younger generation of Indonesia unconsciously affected and following everydevelopment of communication technology that many use a foreign language. The changes oflanguage attitude of the students is inseparable from the literary situation in Indonesia. Indonesiasociety generally are bilingual and multilingual. In the literary situation like that there will be alanguage change in behavior that may not support the existence of one of the languages. From theperspective of sociolinguistics, the phenomenon of language attitude can determine the survival ofthe language. The object in this research is SMA 1 (1 High School) Ruteng, Nusa Tenggara Timur(NTT). The benefits of this research are able to be guidelines for the community's evocative,especially the young generation in addressing our national language with more pride, because thelanguage is one of the nation's identity. The results of this research show that 57, 58% feel proud touse the language of Indonesia, 42.42% regarded English is more attractive than in Bahasa. Studentswho support Bahasa became the international language of 29 respondents (87, 88%). Therespondents have thought optimistic Bahasa can exist in an era of globalization only 23 ofrespondents (69, 70%) while 10 respondents (30, 30%) were still skeptical that Bahasa became theinternational language.

Abstract

This study discusses Marshel Widianto's roasting video broadcast on Najwa Shihab's Youtube media with the title "Young Power: What Happens If Young People Have Power". The purpose of this study is to analyze the elements of discourse using the Teun A. Van Dijk model on Marshel Widianto's roasting show that aired on Najwa Shihab's Youtube media with the title "Young Power: What Happens If Young People Have Power". The research method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique used by the researcher was using content analysis. The technique used in data collection is the note-taking technique. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are four different elements. Among them are semantic elements (background, details, intent) which discuss in detail the meaning to be conveyed in a discourse. Furthermore, the syntactic elements (sentence forms, pronouns, stylistics, and rhetorical) these four elements are used to analyze the form or sentence structure used by Marshel Widianto and the researchers found an emphasis made by using the inclusion of pictures, word order in the title, letter thickening. , the use of capital letters, colons and so on on the cover (clickbait) of videos that air on Najwa Shihab's youtube channel. The results of the analysis that have been carried out by researchers are of course different from other videos that appear on YouTube, this is due to ideological differences, the message to be conveyed in the discourse, packaging in a video and so on.Keywords: Youtube, Teun Van. Abstract

Abstract: The object of this research is to describe and comprehensively understand cognition in second language acquisition in children aged 1; 5 years: a formal approach to the type of Krashen monitor theory. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach. Qualitative because based on taking a historical data in the form of observation and recording using electronic media as a recorder of speech forms.Data is collected through data collection by recording and then recording one word and two words from the child's speech then describing it syntactically the words that the child uttered. The method used is observation and conversation by asking a few questions. The object in this study was a child named Raffasya Wirayudha who was 1; 5 years old.. The findings in this study were to test the development of second language acquisition with the type of monitor theory. The model theory is applied in children aged 1, 5 years who have a first language (Sundanese) and a second language (Indonesian). So that we can know the level of mastery of each language with the type of monitor model. The findings are: 1. Language acquisition and learning can be carried out in the family sphere, 2. The development of B2 language learning is more interactive if using media, and 3. Language problems can be solved if it gives the child the opportunity to talk and control unstable emotions in the speakers when speaking.

Abstract

This research is intended to describe some use of Betawi Language for it is native, it is speaker or those who have lived in South Jakarta for more than ten years through sociodialectology. This research scoops two goals which are (1) to describe the use of Betawi language phonologically and lexically (2) to determine similarities and differences of Betawi Language in South Jakarta.Method used in this research is descriptive comparative method. This method is suitable to compare language rolesimilarities, dialect similarities, and dialect differences in Srengseng Sawah and Ciganjur as subdistricts of Jagakarsa, Pejaten Barat as subdistricts of Pasar Minggu, Lebak Bulus and South Gandaria as subdistricts of Cilandak through phonology and lexical level.Betawi Language contents many similarities and differences. Both cover either wholly or partially. This goes for a shortcut that each area has it is lexical and referent. Beyond that, there are two areas having differences amongst others. Yet, by statistic calculation using dialectometry, we conclude that differences occur in subdialect level.

Abstract

The application of the suggestopedia method is one of the steps to create a learning climate for students’ reading skill. The application of this method is considered successful and suitable to be applied online during a pandemic because of its effectiveness in being able to provide a sense of comfort to students in the learning process in comprehending reading text. By applying quantitative research methods, there are 120 population, having 52 students as sample for being given a treatment and the same amount for being controlled. This research is able to prove that applying suggestopedia method is effective for students’ reading skill. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the suggestopedia method’ application and the results is T observe 14,25925926 and T table is 1, 6755905025. According to the theory the proven score considered effective in the application of suggestopedia method on students’ reading skill.Keywords: Effect, suggestopedia method, reading skill.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to collect data and describe the perceptions of the lecturers of socialhumanities Prof. DR. HAMKA (UHAMKA) about the online learning process that took placeduring the Covid-19 pandemic. This is very important to know because the future withtechnological advances in the industrial era 4.0 learning like this must be faced. The method usedin this research is descriptive qualitative. The approach of this qualitative method is a case studywith a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique in this case study was carried out byentering data from Google Forms into Microsoft Excel. The results showed that there were stilllecturers who stated that they had encountered obstacles in implementing online learning behindthe many lecturers who were ready to face virtual learning situations during the pandemic. Then,the perceptions of social humanities lecturers on the learning process show that the perception ofpedagogic competence is at a score of 66 (sufficient), the perception of personality competence isat a score of 77 (good), the perception of social competence is at a score of 74 (sufficient), and theperception of professional competence is at a score of 78 (good).Key Words: Persepsi, PJJ, Dosen, Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning Idiomatical forms that exist in the Fall Leaves novel Daun Yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin Tere Liye work, in addition to determine the effect of Use idiomatical meaning of the novel Daun Yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin by Tere Liye. The method used to analyze the novel is the method of observation (observation). Moreover, the authors used a qualitative approach in preparing their work. After analyzing the novel's author analyze the novel The Falling Leaves Never Hate Wind Tere Liye works by analyzing the meaning of idiomatical, finally the author can draw the conclusion that there are two types of idiomatical emerging that idiom partial and full idiom.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the kind of grammatical and lexical cohesion that used in education articles written by Syarifudin Yunus. The method that used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. Data source that used in this study are 24 education articles written by Syarifudin Yunus at Kompasiana.com web page in 2019 until 2020 year range. Technic that used in this study is basic technique of agih method or also called the BUL technique (For Direct Elements). The results of this study showed that there are four aspects of grammatical cohesions. The finding percentage of grammatical cohesion of this study are 54.4% conjunctions aspect, 35.4% references aspect, 6.1% substitutions aspect, and 4.1% ellipsis aspect. Besides, there are six lexical cohesion that found in this study. The percentage of lexical cohesions in this study are 63.5% repetition aspects, 14% equivalency aspects, 8.8% collocation aspects, 7.2% synonym aspects, 3.8% hyponyim aspects, and 2.7% antonym aspects. This study can be implicated for Indonesian language learning at junior high school and senior high school.Keywords: Grammatical cohesion; lexical cohesion; discourse.
