Abstract

ABSTRACTFlora as an element of the ecosystem that can provide biodiversity is a major element in the conservation of forest resources. Biodiversity has 3 levels, namely ecosystem, species and genetic diversity. In identifying the abundance of flora in the biodiversity park in Gunung Kidul Regency, the aim is to obtain preliminary data before artificial intervention is carried out to maintain the succession to achieve flora abundance. This biodiversity park also has a specialization to maintain the diversity of the ecosystem level because it is in the form of limestone / karst land which is a variety of habitats along with biotic communities and ecological processes. This study used a 100% census method with a stratified sampling unit. The area of land studied was 3 ha with direct observation method by giving yellow paint for the observed flora. The results of vegetation identification showed that the types of flora in 2019 were 21 species. This species has a total of 1908 individuals. Diversity index data (H ') is 1.15 so it is said to have low diversity. While the wealth index (R ') with a value of 2.67 and is included in the medium type wealth range. The evenness index value (E ') with a value of 0.37 makes the information about the biodiversity garden land has an uneven distribution of flora. This initial parameter provides a form of data for the management of Taman Biodiverstity Park by paying attention to the structure and composition of the vegetation so as to increase diversity and evenness of species. Keywords: Flora, Diversity, Biodiversity Park

Abstract

Visitors' perceptions of tourism objects are very valuable because they can be used by managers as a source of tourism development planning. This study aims to determine visitor perceptions based on push factors and the application of health protocols by visitors. This research was conducted from October-November 2021 with the research location in the Lembah Hijau Wildlife Park, Lampung. The research method is interviews with 100 respondents based on the Slovin formula (1960). Descriptive data analysis and Likert scale analysis. The results of the study of visitor perceptions based on the push factor got a fairly attractive category with a Likert scale of 3.86 because the ticket prices were still considered not cheap by visitors. Factors that encourage visitors to visit are animal shows, free flight bird shows, taking photos with birds, and visitors being able to ride elephants and feed elephants. Visitors' perceptions based on the application of health protocols get a good category with a Likert scale of 4.07. During their visit, visitors always wear masks, wash their hands in the places provided, keep their distance, and reduce interactions with other visitors as part of implementing health protocols.

Abstract

Social capital can improve people's welfare and community productivity as it is based on trust, norms, and social networks. Social capital is also influenced by community participation in sustainable forest management, one form of community participation can be in the form of agroforestry management. This study aims to determine the effect of social capital in increasing the income of agroforestry communities managing HKm in the Batutegi Forest Management Unit (KPH) area. Cluster Random Sampling in HKm KPHL Batu Tegi has 15 Gapoktan including Gapoktan Wanatani Lestari, Gapoktan Mahardika, and Gapoktan Hijau Makmur. In this study, the number of samples used for each gapoktan was 50 respondents so that the total number of respondents from the three gapoktans was 150 respondents. The results showed that there was no significant effect of trust performance on earnings. This shows that in HKm the higher/lower the trust between farmers, the higher/lower the influence of social capital on income will be. A significant influence can be seen from the performance of social networks on income. This shows that the influence of the performance of the social network has a positive direction, and it means that the higher the level of the social network, the higher the income of the community.

Abstract

Abstract

The Way Kalam Waterfall tourist attraction is one of the natural attractions that has tourist attraction and potential and can be developed with development and strategy because it can be used to develop facilities and services. Based on the explanation above, the aim of this research is to analyze the condition of facilities and services at the Way Kalam Waterfall destination based on visitor assessments for the development of Nature Tourism. This research was carried out at the Way Kalam Waterfall Natural Tourism Object located in Way Kalam, South Lampung Regency, Lampung. Research data collection was carried out in September 2023. The method used was a questionnaire and also direct observation with 100 visitors as respondents based on the Slovin formula with random sampling techniques, then analyzed using descriptive analysis and a Likert scale. Based on the results of the analysis of visitors' perceptions of the Way Kalam Waterfall natural tourism destination, efforts are needed to develop facilities and services for the Way Kalam Waterfall natural tourist attraction. This is because the facilities and services are inadequate, such as the absence of an information center, the condition of the toilets which are still one with changing and rinsing rooms, the prayer rooms are not suitable, and there are no counters. The condition of the Way Kalam Waterfall natural tourism destination is good, but there are several things that need to be improved, especially infrastructure and additional facilities and services. The assessment of the condition of the Way Kalam Waterfall Nature Tourism destination based on visitors is in a good category, but the facilities and services have an average facility value of 2, which means inadequate.

Abstract

Sugar palm (Arenga pinnata) is a palm plant that has many benefits but has a hard seed coat and is impermeable to water and oxygen. besides that the palm skin also contains ligin so that the seeds is dormant. Proper scarification technique needs to be done to overcome the dormancy in the palm seeds. Fermentation and deopercolation are scarification methods used to break the dormancy period of palm seeds. The purpose of this study was to determine the scarification method to break the dormancy period of sugar palm seeds by using the percent germination parameter. Fermentation was carried out with cow dung tested for 0.2, 4, 6 weeks. While deopercolation was carried out using sandpaper with a paper roughness level of 80, sanding was carried out on the backs of the palm seeds where the roots would appear. Each treatment was repeated three times in each replication using 15 sugar palm seeds. This research was conducted for 2 months in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The results showed that the best treatment was the fermentation method for 6 weeks combined with deopercolation with a germination percentage value of 82.22%. The use of abrasive paper for the deopercolation method needs further research, the results of this study can be used in the practice of sugar palm cultivation
