Abstract

The strategic role of MSME business actors in achieving business success is to increase competence in the field of financial management considering that MSME entrepreneurs are still low in financial behavior, especially the difficulty in planning the number of products to be produced which depends on the level of sales. The aim of this community service activity is to grow batik entrepreneurs in financial behavior through training in making sales budgets. The training method used in this activity involves students by means of counseling, discussion and practical demonstrations by applying MS Excel to participants consisting of 1 owner and 3 employees. The results of the training show the high motivation of participants in financial behavior and proven success. Participants apply the creation of a sales budget. The contribution from the results of this activity is for partners to easily determine the number of products to be produced without over-products or product deficits so that they are efficient.

Abstract

Tingkat kesadaran siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) akan pentingnya kuliah dapat bervariasi tergantung pada konteks sosial, lingkungan sekolah, dan informasi yang mereka terima. Sebagian siswa SMK mungkin memiliki pemahaman yang terbatas tentang manfaat dan relevansi pendidikan tinggi terhadap kemajuan karir dan kehidupan pribadi mereka. Hal ini bisa disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan tentang opsi pendidikan lanjutan setelah lulus dari SMK, prioritas keluarga, atau perbedaan budaya di lingkungan mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan motivasi kepada para siswa SMK untuk dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seminar tersebyt berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMK tentang peran dan manfaat pendidikan tinggi dalam mengembangkan karir serta kehidupan pribadi mereka. Selain itu, peserta seminar menunjukkan minat yang tinggi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi setelah lulus dari SMK. Kesimpulannya, seminar ini dapat menjadi instrumen yang efektif dalam meningkatkan akses dan partisipasi siswa SMK dalam pendidikan tinggi serta mempersiapkan mereka untuk masa depan yang lebih cerah.

Abstract

The aim of this service is to provide assistance and facilitation to Nahdliyin women business actors so that they have independence and business skills. Providing enforcement of the informal sector as an advanced, competitive and productive business entity, as well as mobilizing the potential of existing resources as a community business force that can support the family economy. Devotion answers existing problems such as limited resources, existing business, product limitations and limited market reach. Service is carried out using a participatory method by placing partners as holders of a more dominant role. The service begins with training, then a business cluster is formed and the formation of business entities is facilitated for partners.

Abstract

Coughing is a condition where an individual expels air suddenly from the thoracic cavity through the epiglottis and mouth. Coughs are commonly accompanied by phlegm or can be dry. Cough-related illnesses are frequently experienced by individuals of all ages, including adults and children. Conducting educational activities on the use of cough medicine is an essential effort to enhance public understanding of health. This educational initiative was carried out at Apotek Byel Farma to provide comprehensive and practical information on the appropriate use of cough medicine. The objective of this activity is to improve public knowledge and understanding of the types of cough medicine, correct usage, and the importance of following usage instructions. The methods employed include organizing educational sessions, question-and-answer sessions, and distributing educational materials. Participants involved in this activity comprised the general public visiting Apotek Byel Farma. The results of this activity indicate a significant increase in participants' knowledge and understanding of cough medicine usage, as well as awareness of the importance of consulting healthcare professionals. In conclusion, this educational campaign has successfully made a positive contribution to increasing public health awareness regarding the correct use of cough medicine.

Abstract

Socialization of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in densely populated settlements has high urgency considering that densely populated settlements often face high risks related to safety and health. By actively involving the community, this outreach program aims to establish a strong safety culture and create a safer and healthier environment. The urgency lies in the need to overcome problems such as fires, evacuation access and unavailability of extinguishers which pose risks in densely populated settlements. With proper K3 outreach, community preparedness can be increased for fires, natural disasters and so on. The program's objectives include increasing community knowledge about OSH practices, changing positive attitudes towards safety, and adopting safer behavior. Apart from that, establishing a local K3 volunteer team is also a strategic goal to ensure continuity and dissemination of information at the community level. The targeted output involves active community participation in training and outreach. It is hoped that the formation of an K3 volunteer team, a significant increase in community knowledge after socialization, as well as positive changes in attitudes and behavior regarding K3.

Abstract

The creative industry in Central Java has experienced significant growth alongside increasing consumer interest in local products. However, many micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the creative industry face challenges in competing in an increasingly competitive market, particularly with the shift towards digital platforms in consumer behavior. Limitations in digital marketing and a lack of proficiency in copywriting are major obstacles for these MSMEs. This community engagement program aims to enhance the capacity of MSMEs in the creative industry to leverage digital platforms for product marketing. Through a series of training sessions and consultations, MSMEs will gain an understanding of digital marketing concepts and effective copywriting techniques. The primary goal of this program is to improve the sustainability of MSMEs in online marketing and increase their revenue. The activities were conducted on January 31, 2024, at the PLUT Cooperative and MSME Building of the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs of Central Java. The training agenda includes an introduction to digital marketing, SEO, social media marketing, paid advertising, and digital marketing performance measurement. The training materials are designed to provide participants with comprehensive understanding and practical skills in digital marketing for MSMEs in the creative industry

Abstract

This activity aims to prevent the negative impacts that gadgets can have on children. This activity is important because many children in MIM Kupang Karangdowo, Klaten use gadgets not only to learn but to play. The implementation method for community service uses a socialization approach, namely lectures, dialogue, discussions and problem solving. The results of the implementation of PKM activities with the theme "Education: The Impact of Using Gadgets on Children at MIM Kupang Karangdowo Klaten" can be concluded that this activity was carried out well in accordance with the expected objectives. Participants came to know and understand the socialization material related to "Education: The Impact of Using Gadgets on Children at MIM Kupang Karangdowo Klaten". Abstract

This Community Service Activity is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities that must be carried out by a lecturer. This activity was held thanks to collaboration between the Banjarmasin City Regional Government, the Creative Economy Committee and the Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN) as an organizational forum for creative cities. The implementation method used is a Seminar, Workshop and Tour Guide to Banjaarmasin City tourist attractions. Participants in this activity came from various cities throughout Indonesia which are members of the Creative Cities network and are also creative economy players. It is hoped that this Community Service activity will have a positive impact on the development of the creative economy and also economic growth in the City of Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Plalangan Village in Kalisat District is one of the agricultural villages with food crop centers targeted by The Jember Regency Government to become a tourism pilot area. Plalangan Village has natural resource potential that can be used as a tourism product, including expanses of agricultural land for food crops with semi-organic and intercropping cultivation systems, fisheries nurseries and cultivation, and a beautiful mountainous natural environment. Even though the tourism potential is very large, it has not been developed optimally by the community. So far, Pokdarwis Selayang Pandang still has a minimal role in developing tourism in Plalangan Village. This is because the human resource capacity is still low in managing tourist villages. Another problem is that there have been no promotional activities for tourist villages. The aim of this community service activity is to increase Pokdarwis' awareness of tourism potential and increase their ability to promote tourism villages. From this activities, it is hoped that there will be an increase in tourism awareness and motivation, an increase in the ability of human resources in managing village tourism potential, and the existence of promotional media for tourism villages.
