Abstract

 Scientific texts of pesantren cannot be separated from the treasure of Yellow Books of pesantrens written by Islam scholars from 3n century to 10th century of Hijnjyah. Yellow Books are primag references of the majority, if not all, of pesantren communities to solve any humanity problems with ubudiyah (worship) muamalat (social interaction), munakahat (marriage), siyasah (strategy), etc. Through these Yellow Books pesantrens produce tasamuh, tawaZun and Ptidal attitudes. Related to the nationality problem recently discussed everywhere, in . term of doctrinism, pesantrens have long developed what a so-called principle of ukhuwah wathoniyah (nationality brotherhood). This article points out how pesantrens, through their education in form of moral cultivation, have proved themselves as being capable of keeping children from moral erosion and decadence. It will save the nation from social diseases such as corruption, collusion, and so on.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to describe the role of Islam education in global context, especially to solve several problems in Indonesia, for example, poverty, unemployment, natural disaster, social disorder, and other serious problems. Obviously, although they bring about some positive effects for development of this country, these problems are also effects of globalkation. We are often trapped in economic discourse when discuss it and overruling other aspects such as ideological, cultural, and social; whereas, they are as important as economic discourse. In other words, globalir<ation covers multi-aspects in our life, so that some of new obligations of Islam education are to answer various problems of Moslem life.One of the contradictive issues is that globalkation becomes a part of our life because we are a part of globalkation. Therefore, we have to eliminate science dichotomy between religion and science. Escaping from the pro and the contra Islam education claimed take able to answer the new problematic of Moslem life. The Moslem must be supported by life skills in order to survive in the face of the globalization. Summarily, we have to exchange classic paradigm with the modern one that is responsive to social problems, especially related to the religion.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe pesantren communio's perception and aspiration in preparing of ulama through pesantren education. The research was conducted in eight locations, namely, Medan, Agam, Lampung, Ciamis, Brebes, Kediri, Banjarmasin, and Balikpapan. The method was a quantitative approach and the instruments for collecting data used were questionaire for pesantren community (ustack and santri) and non pesantren community (formal leader, informal leader, and religion bureaucrats), and interview guidance for pesantren leaders. It is found that pesantren community still perceived that pondok pesantren is regarded as the most e ective institution for preparing the ulama.

Abstract

Law Number 20/2003 regarding National Education System illustrates that every student in every educational unit is entitled to accept religious education according to the belief/faith they follow that will be given by those teachers with the same belief/ faith. Therefore, religious education is one compulsory component of so many curriculum components taught to the students in order to achieve the objective of national education. Hence, any of religious educational institutions, both state and private, are obliged to make available religion teachers as per the religion followed by the respective students. The results of 2006 research indicates that: a) distribution of religion teachers in SMPs was distributed relatively evenly in both state andptivate junior high schools (SMPs); b) coordination between schools/ foun­dations, and City/Regency Educational Affairs Offices and Religious Affairs Offices, in fulfilling the need of religious education in both state and private SMPs, was not maximal; c) of SMP schools, if there were less than 10 students of any religion existed in any classroom, they would participate in their religious activities outside the school; d) there were still lacks of religious educational teachers both in state and private SMPs; e) insufficient finances to pay honorarium of the teachers; and J) unequal number of appointed teachers compared to real requirement.

Abstract

by and comes from the community. For that reason the madrasah usually deals with problems with the community directly, and one of these problems is education costing. This survey wants to describe the type of education costing in madrasah and the role of kcal government. The survey found that the main obstacle in education costing is there was not enough support from community themselves in term of budgeting the local government only played an insignificant role in the building and development of madrasah.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know how the differsity of Senior High School seen from their level of religious education mastery, the implementation of their daily religious activities, and their socio-religious relationship. This study used a quantitative approach. The methods of collecting data were quantitative and qualitative. The data analyzed with descriptive method. The respondents  of this study were students of Senior High School in big cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, and Makassar.The result of this study was satisfied enough and it rejected the assumption that religious education for Senior High School students was failed. The data indicated that the level of student religious mastery was good enough abd the student had implemented their daily religious activities well. In the case of socio-religious relationship, 68,9% students had done it intensively, and only 12,8% students who had low intensity.

Abstract

The life of the community changes constantly with time. Today there have been changes in various aspects of life. Therefore, Indonesia, Moslems, and Islamic boarding school (pesantren) community all are parts of educational world itself. In this context, it is necessagJo. r pesantren to thing more clearly, more society changes constantly with the twice circle. As a past of national education system, pesantren needy r to be adaptive and accommodative to the process of social change occurred. Pesantren needs to play any constructive role in developing the surrounded community at any aspects of life, both religious aspect and socio cultural and economic aspect. In this context, the article aims at to elaborate on how pesantren should accommodate the recent development without disregarding the predetermined vision and mission.

The aim of this article is to anake the institutionalization of multiculturalism by means of the method of living values in madrasah. As apart of education institution, madrasah has a moral obligation to evolve the students insights concerned with the problem of plurality in society particularly in religious aspect. Dealing with the multicultural values development, this article tries to offer the way of how to institutionalize any multicultural values as a theoretical base to develop the multicultural education in madrasah.

Abstract

Pedagogic which we recognize in Indonesia these days is a real narrow, tight pedagogic and tends to see the education problem solely as a technical problem in class room. Though, the education essentially is processing of humanization of someone in family life, cyltured public now and future. Education can build a new democratic and having morale Indonesia public, as Indonesian public craving these days. This article with philosophic and historical approach will expose madrasah as education institute of Islam bearing from, by; and for public (communay based education) has potency in creating conducive climate for bearing the learning socieiy as foundation of civil society.

Abstract

Fokus riset ini adalah penggunaan kata dalam analisa paragraf terhadap bacaan Para mahasiswa dalam memahami bacaan. Maka permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut• (1) Apakah penggunaan analisa kata mampu memperbaiki pemahaman bacaan siswa? (2) Apakah penggunaan analisa frase I ungkapan mampu memperbaiki pemahaman bacaan siswa? (3) Apakah penggunaan analisa kalimat mampu memperbaiki pemahaman bacaan siswa? (4) Apakah penggunaan analisa paragraf mampu memperbaiki pemahaman bacaan siswa? Berdasarkan pembahasan di atas, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kata, kalimat, dan analisa paragraf mampu meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa, tetapi analisa frase tidak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa dalam membaca.
