Abstract

In dance education, in the second grade of Bawu 03 elementary school had not used innovative learning media, so that media development was needed in learning. This research aimed to develop, to find out the results of feasibility, and test the effectiveness of DIKDA quartet cards on dance education based on outdoor learning on daily and natural motion material. The type of this study was Research and Development (R & D) adapted from Sugiyono's theory. The participants of this study were the second grade at Bawu 03 elementary school in the number of 41 students. Data analysis techniques included product data analysis, initial data analysis, and final data analysis in the form of t-test and n-gain test. The results showed that learning media in the media of DIKDA quartet cards on dance education based on outdoor learning was very feasible to use by obtaining a percentage of 96.88% by media experts, 96.88% by material experts and 93.75% by language experts. The results of small scale got a percentage of 100% of students and 92% of teachers and on a large scale get a percentage of 97,9% of students and 100% of teachers. The results of the test large scale got on average obtained results of 0.567 on a small scale and 0.466 on a large scale. Abstract

This study was aimed at knowing the development, feasibility and effectiveness of a Javanese script-based monopoly game learning medium on Javanese Language subject as a very feasible learning medium and helpful to improve the cognitive learning achievement of the fourth grade students of Islam Al madina Semarang. This study employed to Research and Development (R&D) method. The population and samples of this study were the students of class IV C of Islamic Elementary School (SD) Al Madina Semarang chosen by using random sampling. The data collection technique used by the researchers were questionnaire, interview, documentation, observation and test. Meanwhile, the data analysis was done by using the tests of validity, reliability, normality, t-Test, and N-gain. In the expert judgement phase, all experts agreed that the Javanese script-based monopoly game was very feasible to use as a learning medium with some revisions based on their feedbacks. Moreover, the feasibility percentages given by the experts were 98% from media expert, 97.8% from materials experts, and 94.3% from language expert. Further, this Javanese script-based monopoly game learning medium affected on the cognitive learning achievement of students proven by the different average scores of students understanding based on t test as many as 11.666 and average increase (N-gain) of 0.78 with high criterion. In conclusion, the Javanese script-based monopoly game learning medium is effective to be used as a learning medium.

Abstract

Sains education is the one of lesson that must be given for student  of elementary school, but in fact, Sains education still unoptimally done. Based on datas of observation, interview, and document that be found at Kalibanteng Kidul 02 Semarang State Elementary School is showed information that there is problem with the relevance learning media is still low. So, need to be developed 3 dimension diorama media in sains education. The purpose of this research is to describe the steps of developing 3 dimesion diorama media, to know about validity  of  3  dimension  diorama  media,  and  to  know  about  efectivity  of  3  dimension  diorama  media  in  the learning.  Type  rsearch  is  Research  and  Development  (R&D)  with  some  step  are  pra  research,  collecting  data, preparing the media design, product validation, product reparation, small scale test,  big scale test, and the last product.  Research  population  is  all  student  of  grade  V  at  Kalibanteng  Kidul  02  Semarang  State  Elementary School.  Research  sample  is  student  f  grade  V  with  jenuh  sample  technic.  Collecting  datas  technic  are observation,  interview,  test,  angket,  and  documentation.  Analyzing  data  technic  use  analyzing  product  data, analyzing first data/normality test, T test, and N-Gain test. The result of the research shows that 3 dimension diorama media can be used in sains educational learning with the value percentage from media specialist is 94%, content specialist is 97%, media practicy is 97%, and content practicy is 93% with Ttest result is T -assesment (7,396) is bigger than T-table (1,671) and N -Gain test result is 0,7063 with high criteria. This research conclusion is  effectivally  be  used  in  sains  educational  learning  toward  student  learning  result.  Instruction  for  the  next research can use 3 dimension diorama media in other lesson by adapted with component and design is related with the content that be teach.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the design, feasibility and effectiveness of a poetry writing guidebook with pop-up book media for third grade students. The type of this research was development research (R & D). The data taken were questionnaires on the needs of students and teachers, media and material validation, student learning outcomes, student and teacher responses to the developed guidebook. Small scale tests were carried out by Jambean 03 Elementary School with 8 students, and large scales test was conducted by Bumirejo 01 Elementary School with 32 students. The results showed that the guidebook developed had met the very feasible criteria with the results of obtaining 79.5% feasibility score from material experts and 98% from media experts. In the large-scale test the results of posttest students were got the classical completeness criteria that was equal to 100%. The calculation results got an average percentage of 97.22%. The increasing average was calculated using the N-Gain formula, with an average was 0.7 in the high category. The results of the teacher's response were 86.7% (very feasible) and the results of the students' responses were 96.3% (very feasible). It was concluded that the guidebook for writing poetry with pop-up book media for third grade students fulfilled the criteria of being very feasible and effective to be used in Indonesian language learning material for writing poetry third grade in second semester.

Abstract

Based on the result of observation, interview, and data on learning outcomes conducted in 4th grade students at Elementary School of Cakra Cluster Semarang City, it was found that the social studies learning outcomes were not optimal because the learning model used by teacher was not appropriate . The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model based on cultural heritage on social studies learning outcomes of social, economic, cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in the local provinces as the identity of Indonesia; and its relation to the characteristics of space. This was experimental research used a quasi experimental research design in the form of nonequivalent control group design. The data collection techniques used tests, observation, and documentation. The hypothesis test result showed that the t-test was 5.455, while the t-table value was 1.994. So that the tcount was greater than ttable (5.455> 1.994) which means that think pair share model based on cultural heritage was more effective on social studies learning outcomes. The experimental class n-gain test result was higher than the control class. The value of n-gain control class was of 0.3231 which was included in the low category and n-gain of the experimental class was 0.542 included in the medium category. Abstract

This study focused on the problems in teaching tenses to Primary School Teacher Education Department (PGSD), Faculty of Education, Semarang State University (UNNES). There were some of the problematic and confusing tenses such as simple tense and present perfect tense, present continuous and present simple, past simple and past continuous tense. This research used qualitative approach. It was conducted in PGSD Department, Faculty of Education, Semarang State University in 2015 by involving 120 students as the samples. The researcher used questionnaire, interview sheet, and test items as the instruments. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive method. Besides that teaching grammar had been handled throughout this study with the data obtained from the written exams of the learners. Most frequently occurred errors were listed and they were analyzed in details. The findings revealed that the reasons for these errors mostly derived from mother tongue interference and lacked of adequate linguistic background. The other component of this article was to offer remedial teaching activities for foreign language learners to compensate the shortcomings. This research aidmed to examine the correlation between learning style to student's critical thinking skills of elementary school Jekulo Subdistrict, Kudus Regency. This research used quantitative app approach type of correlation research. The subjects of this research were 4th grade students in elementary school. The sample technique was purposive sampling of 128 participants. The data collection instruments used observation, interview, questionaire, test, and document data. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis, prerequisite test analysis and final data analysis. The resullts showed that there are positive and significant correlation between learning style to students critical thining skills of elementary school, the correlation coefficient value was 0.634 in the strong category.

Abstract

This research’s background is the problem in the low number of learning outcomes in the social studies subject of 5th GRADE students of SDN Gugus Melati Semarang. The purpose of this study is to test whether or not the TGT learning model is effective on the learning outcomes of 5th GRADE students of SDN Gugus Melati Semarang on social science subject. This research is an experimental research with quasi experiment design in the form of nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study is the students of grade 5 at SDN Gugus Melati Semarang. The technique used in data analysis are normality test, homogeneity test, equality test average, hypothesis test, and n gain test. The result of hypothesis test shows that tcount is 7,104 while ttable value with dr = 67 is 1,996. The data indicates that tcount > ttable then Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this research is the TGT model is effective to the learning outcomes on social science subject of 5th GRADE students of SDN Gugus Melati Semarang.

Abstract

The background of this study is the findings from the Research and Development Center of Curriculum, Department of Education in 2007 stated that there are various problems in Social Science Studies. The problem in SD Gugus Sunan Giri, Demak Subdistrict is the result of Social Science learning in grade IV are relatively low. The purpose of this research is to know whether there is a relationship between communication pattern with social science learning outcomes at 4th graders in elementary school Gugus Sunan Giri Kecamatan Demak Kabupaten Demak. This research was a correlational research with quantitative approach. The amount of sample is 100 students from the whole population with the quota sampling. The technique of data collection are observation, interview, questionnaires, test, and documentation. The analysis data using descriptive model and hypothesis experiment. The result of this research show that: (1) communication pattern is suffient; (2) background of parents education is deficient; (3) the result of social science learning is moderate; (4) there is a positive and significant correlation between communication pattern with the result of social science learning, shown by rcount 0,572; (5) there is a positive and significant correlation between background of parents education with the result of social science learning, shown by rcount 0,370; (6) there is a positive and significant correlation between communicatin pattern and background of parents education with the result of social science learning, shown by rcount 0,579; (7) the contribution of communication pattern with the result of social science learning is 32,7%; (8) the contribution of parent’s education background with theresult of social science learning is 13,7%; (9) the contribution of communication pattern and background of parents eduation with the result of social science learning is 33,5%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop interactive multimedia on science learning material change of earth appearance and sky in 4th grade Elementary school Klepu 04. This research type is Research and Developement(R&D) using Waterfall model consisting of Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Maintenance. The results showed interactive multimedia is feasible to use. Based on the assessment of media experts, get an assessment ofof 88% (very feasible), material experts of 92%, (very feasible), and linguist of 92% (very feasible). In addition, the assessment of the practitioner's expertise on presentation, content, and linguistic components is 100%, 92%,96% categories very feasible. Interactive multimedia is also effectively used in science learning based on difference test average by using t test obtained t count equal to 12,05 and t table equal to 1,67 and increase of average(Gain) equal to 0,57 with medium criterion. The used of interactive multimedia in science lesson material changes in the appearance of the earth and sky increases student activity at 1st meeting with percentage of 82,5% (very high)and student activity at 2nd meeting with percentage of 86,8% (very high). The conclusion of this research is interactive multimedia feasible to be used, effective to be used in learning, and increase student activity.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to develop narrative writing guidebook asisted by series of pictures for the third grade students of Kalibanteng Kidul 02 Semarang  Elementary School. This study used a Development Research approach (R&D) based on Sugiyono's theory that has been adapted to the study needs into seven stages of implementation . The results of this study indicated that: (1) the guidebook developed in accordance with the questionnaire of the needs of students and teachers ; (2) the guidebook was valid based on validation from material experts and media experts. A percentage of 95% was obtained with a very decent category of material experts and a percentage of 86.1% with a very decent category from media experts; (3) the percentage of teacher responses after using the guidebook classically was as much as 80.76% with a good criteria, while the percentage of students responses classically was 83.79% with a very good criterion; (4) the guidebook was effective for narrative writing lesson, the results of the analysis of the average difference in the t-test was 8.626 and the increase in the average gain was 0.43 with a medium criterion. The conclusion of this study was that the guidebook was suitable for learning activities
