Abstract

Boxing is the basic gesture for all martial arts, because all of them definitely use the shadow shot and common shot. These two types of shots are related each other because anaerobic capacity must go along with aerobic capacity.To attain the proper knowledge about the method of shadow shot and common shot in increasing VO2max for the endurance of arm muscles for boxer athletes in Central Lombok Regency. Research was experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design, this research wasconducted in Pertina Lombok Tengah Regency. The research subjects involved 15 people divided into two groups, 7 and 8 samples respectively. The control group given only shadow shot while treatment group given common shot. This training held 3 times a week in six weeks for both groups. The analyses data with independent t-test. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Instabilitas pada pergelangan kaki merupakan cedera lanjutan dari sprain ankle pada masa akut, 85% merupakan keadaan overstretch yang melibatkan ligamentum bagian lateral. Kelemahan ligamen sebagai stabilisator pasif mengakibatkan keluhan nyeri dan ketidakstabilan dalam melakukan aktivitas sehingga tonus postural, kekuatan otot, dan fungsi proprioceptive menurun serta stabilitas dan keseimbangan pun menurun. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui latihan star excursion balance dan kinesiology tape berbeda dengan latihan wobble board dan kinesiology tape dalam perbaikan gangguan instabilitas fungsional pada pergelangan kaki. Metode: Metode penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen, terdiri dari 20 orang atlet basket UKSW, dipilih berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling kemudian dibagi ke dalam 2 kelompok, 10 orang pada Kelompok Perlakuan 1 diberikan latihan star excursion balance dan kinesiology tape, dan 10 orang pada Kelompok Perlakuan II diberikan latihan wobble board dan kinesiology tape. Hasil: Hasil analisis statistik parametrik dengan uji hipotesis paired sample t-test. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan kedua kelompok perlakuan secara signifikan dapat memperbaiki gangguan instabilitas pada pergelangan kaki, sebelum perlakuan pada Kelompok I rerata nilai SST 11,30 ± 3,683 dan sesudah perlakuan rerata nilai SST 19,00 ± 4,899 sedangkan sebelum perlakuan pada Kelompok I rerata nilai CAIT 16,40 ± 4,881 dan sesudah perlakuan rerata nilai CAIT 21,00 ± 4,922 nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Pada pelatihan Kelompok II, sebelum perlakuan didapatkan rerata nilai SST 12,50 ± 4,166 dan setelah perlakuan didapatkan rerata nilai SST 16,70 ± 4,218 sedangkan sebelum perlakuan pada Kelompok II rerata nilai CAIT 19,40 ± 4,624 dan sesudah perlakuan rerata nilai CAIT 21,50 ± 3,866 nilai p = 0,001 (p < 0,05). Untuk hasil nilai SST sebelum pelatihan pada Kelompok I dan Kelompok II didapatkan nilai p = 0,501 (p > 0,05) dan nilai CAIT sebelum perlakuan kedua kelompok didapatkan nilai p = 0,175 (p > 0,05) sehingga tidak ada perbedaan bermakna maka memakai data setelah perlakuan pada Kelompok I dan Kelompok II. Simpulan: Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa kombinasi latihan star excursion balance dan kinesiology tape tidak lebih efektif dibandingkan latihan wobble board dan kinesiology tape terhadap perbaikan gangguan instabilitas fungsional pada pergelangan kaki.

Abstract

Radicular syndrome is one type of disease that is included in peripheral nervous system disorders that occur in the spinal roots causing a disturbance of sensory deficits, motor deficits, reflex deficits and damage to pain sensation. In lumbosacral radiculopathy patients, a condition known as fear avoidance belief is a fear to move or to feel pain as a result of doing an activity. This fear of moving causes patients to restrict its movement, so the muscles that should stabilize the inactive vertebral column and the global muscle become hyperactive and trigger muscle spasms. Conservative therapy approaches that may be given to lumbosacral radiculopathy include application of modalities and therapy by physiotherapy, giving modalities of electro physical agents, exercise therapy, and manual therapy interventions. The purpose of this literature review was to determine the effectiveness of intervention shortwave diathermy and neurodynamic mobilization in patients with lumbosacral radiculopathy. The research method used is the study of literature review by using secondary data in the form of study research journals related to the effectiveness of the use of shortwave diathermy and neurodynamic mobilization in patients with lumbosacral radiculopathy. Previous research has shown that the addition of SWD to treat the subjects with chronic back pain complaints can reduce pain. While neurodynamic mobilization is a clinical application to the physiological and mechanical concepts of the nervous system that integrate with the musculoskeletal system. The precise explanation for the improvement of functional disability and pain level experienced by patients with neurodynamic is that neurodynamic may affect the mechanical functioning of peripheral nerves and the change in neural mechanical function have a direct impact on the physiological changes of nerve structure. Based on the literature review, it can be concluded that: the combination of shortwave diathermy and neurodynamic mobilization is effective in improving the limitations of motion and function of lumbosacral radiculopathy patients.

Abstract

Preservation batik has become cultural heritage of Indonesia also needs to be balanced with the protection of the health of batik craftsmen. The health condition of batik craftsman is one off factor in the sustainability of batik in Indonesian because the capital of craftsman working productivity. Workloads such as position and wrong posture at works can lead to complaints of the musculoskeletal system. One of them is low back pain (LBP). LBP can reduce the functional abilities of the craftsmen. LBP is a very common problem in people working age. Structured exercise an option for the treatment of low back pain. Exercise to reduce pain and improve functional activities. The most important component in LBP is strength training exercises and one spinal stability with back strengthening exercises and core stability exercise. The purpose of this study to determine that core stability training exercise is better than a back strengthening exercise in increasing the functional activity of the batik craftsmen with low back pain in Pekalongan. The research designs is experiment true by the one group pre-test and post-test group design, conducted in January to August 2014. Samples were taken by purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. In this study consist of 28 people with batik craftsmen low back pain who have worked a minimum of 5-20 years. Subjects were divided into two groups: group 1 (were given training back strengthening exercises) and group 2 (were given training core stability exercise). Measurement instruments to assess the functional activity used the Pain Disability Index (PDI). The result of statistical test with paired t-test found that the reduction in PDI scores of group 1 with p value = 0.001 and data reduction PDI score group 2 p value = 0.001. Abstract

Gangguan keseimbangan merupakan masalah umum pada lansia. Masalah yang akan timbul dari gangguan keseimbangan adalah peningkatan risiko jatuh pada lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelatihan 12 balance lebih efektif dibandingkan pelatihan core stability dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimental pre and post test two group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 24 orang yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, masing-masing terdiri dari 12 orang, Kelompok 1 diberikan pelatihan core stability dan Kelompok 2 diberikan pelatihan 12 balance. Pelatihan ini dilakukan 3 kali dalam seminggu selama 6 minggu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur keseimbangan menggunakan berg balance scale (BBS) sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor rerata keseimbangan sebelum intervensi pada Kelompok 1 sebesar 45,42±4,79 dan Kelompok 2 sebesar 44,92±4,27 dengan nilai p=0,227 (p>0,05) serta skor rerata setelah intervensi pada Kelompok 1 sebesar 50,33±4,43 dan pada Kelompok 2 sebesar 52,67±3,31. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keseimbangan pada Kelompok 1 sebesar 4,91±0,66 dan pada Kelompok 2 terjadi peningkatan keseimbangan sebesar 7,75±1,21. Uji beda selisih dengan menggunakan mann-whitney u test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 dimana p=0,000 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan 12 balance lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dibandingkan pelatihan core stability pada lansia di Banjar Batu, Desa Pererenan, Kecamatan Mengwi-Badung.Kata kunci : keseimbangan, core stability, 12 balance, lansia

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic syndrome with hyperglycemic in characteristic. Exercise is one of intervention hopefully curing diabetes mellitus. The objective of the study was to analyze effect of aerobic exerciser chi- machine  and static bicycle   reducing of blood glucose level type 2 diabetes mellitus. Design   of study quasi eksperiment, pre test and post test control group design. Group 1 (10 samples) was provided   aerobic exercise chi-machine and group 2 (10 samples) static bicycle   15 minutes three time a week the duration of six weeks. Study  locati was at Mengwi III  Public Health Center, of Badung Regency with 20 samples was selected by using simple random sampling from the patient of diabetes mellitus type 2. Result of study is showed  aerobic exerciser chi-machine reduced the mean of blood glucose level of 124 mg%. Static bicycle  reduced mean of blood glucose level of 70.4 mg%. Conclusion of study aerobic exercise chi-machine more effective 17% than static bicycle exercise (p: 0,028) for reducing of blood glucose level type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Background: Explosive power is the ability of a person to overcome the resistance with a high-speed contraction. This capability is necessary not only in the physical activities of sport but also in situations of physical activity events. Objective: To achieve the necessary exercise continuous and systematic training jump and jump straight without leading alternately (Plyometrik). Exercise jump and jump in essence aims to spur and stimulate repulsion leg so strong that generate maximum explosive power. This study was to compare the exercise group jump upright without proclitic and alternately jump to the explosive power of leg muscle. Method: The study was a randomized experiment design with pretest- posttest control group design of student PJKR PGRI University-Kupang, with a sample of 28 people, divided into two groups and each group totaled 14 people. Group-1 given vertical jump training without the first and second group of jump training alternating with 3 sets of 5 reps done during 8 weeks with a frequency of exercise three times per week.Muscle explosive power measurement with high stepping unprefixed. Measurements were performed before and after treatment. The results of the research in using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and homogeneity test with Leven's Test. Result: Paired t-test to determine the differences mean an increase in leg muscle explosive power in group 1 jump straight with no proclitic (LTTA) with a mean pre-training = 41.4 ± 1.0 cm, and the mean after training = 64.1 ± 2.7 cm the difference = 22.7 cm and the percentage increase = 54.8% (p <0.05). Whereas in the group 2 alternately jump (LB) with a mean pre-training = 41.4 ± 0.80 cm, and mean after training = 49.8 ± 1.7 with difference = 8.4 cm and the percentage increase of 20.28% = (p<0.05). Effects comparison results Improve Limb Muscle Burst in the t-independent test between groups before and after training at the limit of significance ? = 0.05. The mean increase explosive power leg muscle before training with a value of p> 0.05, which means that the initial condition is the same training and after the training has a value of p <0.05. It can be concluded that the two groups together to give the effect of increased leg muscle explosive power with increased high-stepping (p <0.05). Conclusion: But the increase in group 1 vertical jump training without the proclitic (LTTA) better than in group 2 jump alternately by a margin percentage is greater then the increase of leg muscle explosive power is greater. Suggestion: Suggested that sports that require explosive power leg muscle in order to use the vertical jump training without the proclitic.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Tailor work characteristics such as sitting static and bending can trigger complaints such as lower back area muscle tension which if left untreated can cause a decrease in lumbar flexibility. Purpose: to prove postural stability exercise is more to increase lumbar flexibility than static stretching exercise on tailors in Denpasar City. Method: This study was an experimental study with pre and post test control group design. The study sample consisted of 30 people divided into two groups. Group 1 given static stretching exercise, while Group 2 given postural stability exercise. Measurement of lumbar flexibility using a modified-modified Schoober test. Result: Paired Sample t-test in Group 1 and Group 2 showed p value p <0.05 which showed that there were significant changes after giving training to each group. Furthermore, a comparison test between Group 1 and Group 2 used independent sample t-test and obtained p <0.05. This result showed that there are significant differences between the two groups. Conclusion: postural stability exercise increases lumbar flexibility more than static stretching exercise for tailors in Denpasar City.Keywords: lumbar flexibility, static stretching exercise, postural stability exercise, tailor.

Abstract

Success in the long jump is strongly influenced by the explosive power of the leg muscles. Increasing this explosive power will increase the distance long jump performance. In this study conducted with two types of training that is run on the track in the sand and obstacles run, each of which performed a total of five sets and four reps. Training is done in the field SMP-11 Denpasar for six weeks with a frequency of three times in a week. Samples were selected randomly as many as 20 people and the selected sample was divided into two groups, so that each group of 10 people. Group-1 are given run-jump training on the sand group-2 are given obstacles run training. Paired t test was used to analyze differences in the long jump achievement gap between before and after training in each group and the unpaired t test used to analyze differences in the long jump achievement gap between groups of training. Limit of significance used was 0.05. The mean distance long jump performance on the training run around in the sand before training was 3.86 ± 0.33 meters and after training was 4.38 ± 0.34 meter showed a statistically significant difference, p = 0.000 (p<0.05). The mean distance of achievement results before training on obstacles run training was 3.62 ± 0.37 meters and after training was 3.92 ± 0.37, also showed a significant difference p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Differences long jump distance before training outcomes between the two groups was not significant p = 0.190 (p>0.05), while after training between groups showed a significant difference p = 0.010 (p<0.05). Therefore run-jump training in the sand and obstacles run training can increase the distance of the long jump in student SMP-11 Denpasar, where run jump training in the sand beter than obstacles run training. So expect to teachers and sports trainers to implement the training long jump with run jump in sand five reps and four sets in training.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan pada permainan yang dilakukan anak-anak. Mereka lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu bermainnya dengan permainan elektronik daripada bermain dengan melakukan aktivitas fisik. Kurangnya aktivitas fisik dapat mengakibatkan perkembangan keseimbangan menjadi kurang optimal, sehingga meningkatkan resiko terjadinya cedera pada anak-anak. Perkembangan keseimbangan selain dipengaruhi oleh kematangan sistem saraf juga dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman dengan latihan pada tugas dan lingkungan yang spesifik. Penulis melakukan penelitian dengan membandingkan latihan Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization dengan Balance Exercise dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada anak-anak. Penelitian bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan pre test and post test group design. Sampel 28 siswa SD berusia 9-10 tahun dan nilai keseimbangan dinamis <80, terbagi secara acak menjadi 2 kelompok. Kelompok I mendapatkan perlakuan Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Kelompok II mendapatkan perlakuan Balance Exercise. Latihan dilakukan 3x seminggu selama 4 minggu. Alat ukur keseimbangan dinamis dengan Y-Balance Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat peningkatan nilai keseimbangan dinamis pada Kelompok I dengan nilai rerata sebelum 77,52 ± 1,67 dan sesudah 88,85 ± 3,39 dengan nilai p<0,05, (2) Terdapat peningkatan nilai keseimbangan dinamis pada Kelompok II dengan nilai rerata sebelum 77,81 ± 2,03 dan sesudah 86,73 ± 1,69 dengan nilai p<0,05, (3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada Kelompok I dan Kelompok II dalam peningkatan nilai keseimbangan dinamis dengan nilai p<0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization lebih baik daripada Balance Exercise dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis pada siswa usia 9-10 tahun di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 11 Sumerta DenpasarKata kunci: dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, balance exercise, keseimbangan dinamis
