Abstract

Diabetes melitus (DM) sebagai kumpulan penyakit metabolik yang memiliki karakteristik tingginya kadar glukosa darah akibat gangguan sekresi dan kerja insulin. Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor: genetik, imunologik, lingkungan, dan gaya hidup. Kurangnya aktifitas fisik, stress dan usia yang semakin tua mengakibatkan insulin yang dihasilkan akan berkurang karena fungsi pankreas menurun, maka olahraga dianjurkan untuk mengontrol kadar gula darah, salah satunya yaitu senam yoga. Yoga dibutuhkan untuk membakar kelebihan glukosa di dalam tubuh, olahraga yoga memacu badan untuk lebih efektif menggunakan karbohidrat. Rangkaian gerakan yoga untuk diabetes melitus meliputi pemanasan, latihan inti, istirahat dan doa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui senam yoga efektif terhadap penurunan kadar gula darah pada pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Poli Klinik Interna Rumah Sakit Tk II Udayana. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan Pre test and Post Test control desaign. Sampel pada penelitian ini 20 orang penderita Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Poli Klinik Interna Rumah Sakit Tk II Udayana. Hasil pretest gula darah Kelompok 1 (Senam yoga) sebesar 165,40±35,93 dan posttest sebesar 141,45±32,41 mg/dl sedangkan hasil pretest gula darah Kelompok 2 (Kelompok Kontrol) sebesar 160,10±28,18 mg/dl dan posttest sebesar 169,75±28,56 mg/dl. Hasil analisis uji t – paired di peroleh nilai p = 0,000 (p<0,05) menunjukkan ada perbedaan pengaruh kadar glukosa darah yang signifikan pada Kelompok 1 (Senam yoga). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh Senam Yoga terhadap perubahan kadar gula darah pada pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Poliklinik Interna Rumah Sakit Tk II Udayana. Diharapkan bagi pelayanan kesehatan bahwa di samping obat anti diabetic dan pengaturan diet bagi penderita Diabetes Melitus juga perlu melakukan senam yoga untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah menjadi normal. Kata Kunci: Senam Yoga, Gula darah, OAD dan DM.

Abstract

A downward trend of physical activity level within the population of college students was observed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Various adjustments within their daily habits caused changes to the population’s sleep quality and physical activity level. The purpose of this study is to research the correlation between physical activity level and sleep quality in preclinical medical students in Udayana University. This study was conducted using an analytic cross-sectional method and consecutive sampling technique involving 282 preclinical medical students of Udayana University from academic year of 2018, 2019, and 2020. The data were obtained via the scores of Global Physical Activity Questionnaire and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. The GPAQ score showed that 123 (43.6%), 127 (45%), and 32 respondents (11.4%) respectively had a low, moderate, and high level of physical activity. Meanwhile, the PSQI score showed that 102 respondents (36.2%) had a good sleep quality and 180 respondents (63.8%) had a bad sleep quality. The average PSQI score of the respondents was 5.23 (cut off = 5). The correlation between the level of physical activity and sleep quality was analyzed using the Chi-Square method and was deemed insignificant (p = 0.172; 2-sided). The majority of preclinical medical students had low-to-moderate level of physical activity and bad sleep quality. No significant correlation was found between level of physical activity and sleep quality in preclinical medical students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Further studies are needed to determine other factors that might affect physical activity level and sleep quality within the population. Abstract

Elderly people, a population group whose age is more than 60 years or older is a group ofpeople who potentially suffered by metabolic disorders due to changes in body fat percentageand the degeneration process. Elderly gymnastics showed theoretically significantly lowered thepercentage of body fat that result in a decrease in waist circumference, increasing the capacityof the memory function, and mental efficiency. This study was a pre-experimental study, carriedout in the Jegu Tabanan Village in February 2014 to September 2015 with a sample of 63 elderly.An abnormal waist circumference (central obesity) defined of > 90 cm in men and > 80 cm inwomen. The data were measured before and after the intervention (elderly gymnastic training)for the six months (once a week, in the morning, at the village hall (Balai Banjar) of JeguTabanan Village, and was guided by an elderly gymnastic instructor. Study result: the studyconsisted of 63 subjects which was 35 (55.6%) men and 28 (45.4%) women with the mean of age was 65 ± 0.5 years old and the mean of BMI was 22.5 ± 3.02 (kg / m2). The results of thebivariate statistical analysis by paired t-test showed a significant difference between waistcircumference before and after giving elderly gymnastics for six months with the value of p =0.023 (CI: 0.449; 5.773). Also we found reduction in waist circumference of 3 cm (3.6%).

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penduduk lansia di Indonesia menempati peringkat ke empat dunia. di Bali tercatat jumlah penduduk lansia mencapai 9,7 % dari jumlah penduduk keseluruhan. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan Senam Jantung Sehat dan Senam Lansia terhadap peningkatan ketahanan kardiovaskuler dan kapasitas vital paru pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan randomized pre-test dan post-test control group design, 2 kelompok masing-masing 12 orang lansia. Kelompok 1 dengan perlakukan Senam Jantung Sehat, dan kelompok 2 perlakuan senam lansia. Pelatihan diberikan 3 kali dalam seminggu selama 6 minggu. Alat ukurnya adalah tes jalan 2 menit di tempat untuk ketahanan kardiovaskuler dan pengukuran kapasitas vital paru dengan spirometri. Hasil: Independen t-test ketahanan kardiovaskuler didapatkan nilai p= 0.075(p>0,05). Hasil Independen t- test kapasitas vital paru lansia didapatkan nilai p = 0,753 (p> 0,05) Hasil ini menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan ketahanan kardiovaskuler dan kapasitas vital paru pada kelompok yang diberikan Senam Jantung Sehat dan Senam Lansia.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Keluhan nyeri punggung bawah non spesifik kronis menyebabkan keterbatasan dalam beraktivitas sehari-hari. Latihan yang paling banyak digunakan untuk mengatasinya adalah core stability exercise, namun hasilnya tidak konsisten dan terbatas. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk membuktikan bahwa Feldenkrais exercise lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional pada pasien NPB non spesifik kronis. Materi dan Metode: Penelitian ini mengikutsertakan 20 pasien NPB non spesifik kronis di Klinik Halmahera Medika Bandung yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan pre and post test control group design. Subjek dibagi ke dalam 2 kelompok, masing-masing 10 orang secara acak. Kelompok I mendapat perlakuan Feldenkrais exercise sedangkan kelompok II mendapat perlakuan core stability exercise selama 8 minggu. Kemampuan fungsional diukur menggunakan Modified Oswestry Disability Index sebelum intervensi dan setelah intervensi selama 8 minggu. Hasil: Hasil perbandingan persentase ODI sebelum dan setelah dalam masing-masing kelompok menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan (p= 0,005; p=0,005). Sedangkan hasil perbandingan selisih perubahan ODI antara ke dua kelompok menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan Kelompok I lebih banyak meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional daripada Kelompok II (p= 0,009). Kategori disabilitas di Kelompok I juga lebih rendah daripada kategori disabilitas di kelompok CSE. Kesimpulan: Feldenkrais exercise lebih efektif daripada CSE dalam meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional. Abstract

Futsal is a sport that is popular in the community in performed in many groups, from young children to adults. Futsal is a game that is almost the same as soccer, and now futsal is an international sport, the impact of the entire country playing futsal. This study aims to determine the zig-zag run dribbling training and shuttle run dribbling training equally well in improving Dwijendra Denpasar's high school futsal dribbling skills. This study used an experimental research design Randomized pretest-posttest control group design involving 22 extracurricular swimming students, aged 16-17 years who had good physical fitness. The research subjects were divided into two groups using simple random allocation techniques. Group I was given zig-zag run dribbling training and Group II was given dribbling shuttle run training with the frequency of exercise 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Research shows that the average speed of futsal dribbling in Group I is 23.16 ± 2.7 seconds increasing to 17.36 ± 2.29 seconds and in Group II it is 22.54 ± 2.62 seconds increasing to 18.45 ± 2.20 seconds with a value of p < 0 ,05. This means that there has been a significant and significant increase in training after training. It can be concluded that zig-zag run dribbling training and shuttle run dribbling training are equally good at increasing Dwijendra Denpasar's high school futsal ball speed.Keywords: Zig-zag Run Dribbling, Shuttle Run Dribbling, Speed of herding Futsal Balls

Abstract

ABSTRACT Increased duration of gadget usage since COVID-19 pandemics can cause various negative impacts if implemented without considering ergonomic factors, especially body and neck posture. One of those impacts that often found is musculoskeletal disorders like neck pain due to excessive cervical flexion load. However, incidence of neck pain also affected by many other factors, such as physical activity and exercise habit. This study aims to determine the correlation between posture, duration of gadget usage, and physical activity during COVID-19 pandemic to the occurrence of neck pain among Medical Students in Udayana University. An analytical observational study was conducted with cross-sectional approach using questionnaire adapted from Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire to measure quantity and quality of neck pain of 106 medical students in Udayana University. The correlation between variables was then analyzed by Chi-square test. Results of this study showed that 77.4% of medical students in Udayana University usually use gadget ?56 hours a week and 61.3% of medical students have experienced neck pain in last 12 months during COVID-19 pandemic. Analytical study showed that correlation between posture and neck pain has p-value = 0.016 (<0.05), physical activity and neck pain has p-value = 0.012 (<0.05), while duration of gadget usage and neck pain has p-value = 0.733 (>0.05). It can be concluded that there are significant correlations between posture while using gadget and physical activity to neck pain, but there is no significant correlation between duration of gadget usage and neck pain during COVID-19 pandemic among medical students in Udayana University. Abstract

AbstractBackground: Emotions or feelings among sports participants need to get attention because emotions in addition to affecting other psychological aspects (mind and desire) also affect the physiological aspects. Method: This preliminary study was an observational (cross sectional analytic) study conducted in April 2018 in Denpasar that combined observations, interviews among key informant person (to collect the qualitative data) and quantitative data collection used a Task and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (mixed method). Result: The results of this study showed an emotional reaction that emerged as the effect of doing Senam Janger exercises was very positively. The focus of attention on gym movements, traditional gamelan accompaniment that reminds spiritual nuances, as well as aerobic exercise effects in the zones target of exercise can provide a sense of excitement and mental calm. The gymnastics activity within group have an effect on social interaction that can lead to competitiveness attitudes. The effect occurs by the presence of other persons factor or presence of others. Conclusion: Senam Janger exercise -from the psychological aspect- create an effect of positive emotional reactions (joy, less tension), but in this study has not been proven its effect on increased confidence and superior feeling in competing due to very small sample size.Keywords: general gymnastics, psychological aspects, positive emot

Abstract

Setiap remaja putri akan melewati masa pubertas yang ditandai dengan terjadinya menstruasi. Pada saat fase menstruasi biasanya disertai rasa nyeri, keluhan ini disebut dengan dismenore. Nyeri yang dirasakan dapat menggangu aktivitas sehari-hari. Ada beberapa metode yang dapat diberikan untuk menurunkan nyeri yang dirasakan saat haid. Diantaranya adalah metode abdominal stretching, core strengthening, dan pilates exercise yang bertujuan untuk menurunkan nyeri dan meningkatkan kekuatan otot disekitar perut hingga panggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mana yang lebih efektif antara metode abdominal stretching dan core strengthening excercise dibandingkan metode abdominal stretching dan pilates exercises dalam menurunkan intensitas dismenore primer. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimental dengan pre test and post test contol group design. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMA Dwijendra Denpasar,Bali dengan jumlah sampel 28 orang yang memiliki kategori dismenore primer dengan derajat nyeri sedang hingga berat, dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok I diberikan abdominal stretching dan core strengthening exercise, kelompok II diberikan abdominal stretching dan pilates exercises. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Visual Analouge Scale (VAS). Sebaran data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisi Wilcoxon dan Man Whitney karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode abdominal stretching dengan core strengthening exercise dapat menurunkan intensitas dismenore primer dengan nilai signifikan p = 0,001 dengan nilai median VAS 6 menjadi 4 metode abdominal stretching dengan pilates excercise dapat menurunkan intensitas dismenore primer dengan nilai signifikan p = 0,001 dengan nilai median VAS 6 menjadi 4. Antara kelompok I dan kelompok II, tidak didapat perbedaan pre test (P=0,178), post tes (P=0,173), dan perubahan (P=0,561) Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tidak ada perbedaan efektivitas antara metode abdominal stretching dengan core strengthening dan abdominal stretching dengan pilates exercises dalam menurunkan intensitas dismenore primer.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Aktivitas motorik anak cerebral palsybiasanya mengalami keterlambatan activity daily livingyang dipengaruhi olehhead control, karena kepala berfungsi dalam melawan gravitasi dan sebagai inisiasi gerakan awal saat berjalan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan hipotesis bahwa penambahan neck support pada head control exercise lebih baik dalam peningkatan kemampuan fungsional berjalan anak CP spastic diplegic. Materi & Metode: Penelitian merupakan studi eksperimental dengan rancangan pre test and post test control group design. Jumlah responden sebanyak 14 sampel yang dibagi menjadi 2 grup secara random, pada kelompok kontrol mendapat head control exercise, pada kelompok perlakuan mendapatneck support dan head control exercise. Fungsional berjalan yang di teliti dengan diukur dengan GMFM, perlakuan diberikan selama 8 minggu. Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan fungsional berjalan yang signifikan pada anak Kelompok kontrol yang mendapatkan intervensi head control exercise dengan nilai pre (17,31 ± 5,06) dan nilai post (18,30 ± 3,16) didapat nilai p=0,011. Terdapat peningkatan fungsional berjalan yang signifikan pada kelompok perlakuan yang mendapat intervensi neck supportdan head control exercise dengan nilai pre (15,53 ± 4,23) dan nilai post (24,59 ± 4,98) dengan didapat nilai p=0,001. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada peningkatan fungsional berjalan pada Kelompok kontrol yang mendapatkan head control exercise dan pada Kelompok perlakuan yang mendapat neck support dan head control exercise dengan nilai Kelompok kontrol ( 18,30 ± 4,96 ) dan nilai pada Kelompok perlakuan (24,59 ± 4,98) dan didapat nilai p=0,036. Simpulan: Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan neck support pada head control exercise lebih baik dibandingkan hanya head control exercise dalam meningkatkan fungsional berjalan anak CPspastic diplegic.
