Abstract

The aim of the research is to establish the design of the trainer kit project to determine the effect of the rope material type toward the rope wave velocity and the effect of the type of nylon, raffia, polyester, hemp and chinnese satin rope materials on the velocity of rope wave propagation. The research method used is the Research and Development method using Nieveen design. The development of trainer kit uses an Arduino UNO microcontroller equipped with a proximity sensor HC-SR04 for measuring the rope wavelength. One point of the rope is tied with a timer ticker and the other is tied to a hanging load which is resting on a pulley. When the power supply is turned on, the timer ticker will vibrate to move the rope that has been tied. The rope will form a transverse wave. The result of this research, the design of trainer kit is development by using micro-controlled Arduino UNO and a proximity sensor HC-SR04 can be declared as a valid result. There are mass convention impacts of the type of rope likely nylon, polyester, raffia, hemp and chinese satin toward the rope wave velocity.

Abstract

Kemampuan retensi tanah dapat ditingkatkan dengan membenahi stuktur tanah melalui penambahan biochar pada tanah. Hubungan pemberian biochar dengan meningkatnya retensi tanah dapat dilihat dari peningkatan penyerapan air dan pH. Ukuran pori-pori pada biochar dapat menambah ukuran pori-pori tanah yang dapat memaksimalkan penyerapan air, sehingga semakin besar pori-pori biochar maka semakin tinggi tingkat retensi tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan ukuran permukaan pori-pori dan pH pada bahan baku biochar terhadap kemampuan menjaga retensi tanah sehingga dapat membantu mengembalikan kemampuan retensi tanah agar tanah tetap subur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen untuk mengukur penyerapan air dengan memberi air melalui alat infus ke pot berlubang yang sudah berisi campuran biochar dan tanah, lalu mengukur pH dengan menggunkana pH for soil. Untuk mengetahui bahan baku biochar yang tepat dengan permasalahan pada tanah, maka penelitian ini menggunakan 3 biochar dengan bahan baku yang berbeda yaitu tongkol jagung, batang pepaya , tempurung kelapa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah campuran tanah dengan biochar tempurung kelapa yang paling banyak menyerap air, dan campuran tanah dengan biochar tongkol jagung yang memiliki pH tertinggi. Soil retention ability can be improved by improving soil structure through the addition of biochar to the soil. The relationship between biochar and increased soil retention can be seen from the increase in water absorption and pH. The size of the pores in biochar can increase the size of the soil pores which can maximize water absorption, so that the larger the biochar pores, the higher the soil retention rate. This study aims to determine the effect of differences in pore surface size and pH on biochar raw materials on the ability to maintain soil retention so that it can help restore soil retention ability so that the soil remains fertile. The method used in this research is an experimental method to measure water absorption by giving water through an infusion device into a perforated pot that already contains a mixture of biochar and soil, then measuring the pH using pH for soil. To find out the right biochar raw material with problems in the soil, this study used 3 biochar with different raw materials, namely corn cobs, papaya stalks, and coconut shells. The results of this study were the soil mixture with coconut shell biochar which absorbed the most water and the soil mixture with corncob biochar which had the highest pH.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pemisahan anomali regional dan residual pada metode gravitasi studi kasus Gunung Semeru Jawa Timur dengan menggunakan data citra satelit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi struktur bawah permukaan yang ada di sekitar lokasi. Pemisahan anomali Bouguer lengkap menjadi anomali regional dan residual menggunakan metode polinomial orde dua. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh hasil anomali residual denga nilai rendah yang diperkirakan sebagai kantung magma dari kawah Jonggring Seloko yang berada di sebelah tenggara Gunung Semeru dan anomali tinggi diperkirakan sebagai batuan beku atau material erupsi dari Gunung Semeru yang berada di sebelah timur dengan arah menuju barat laut, sebelah tenggara dengan arah menuju timur, dan di sebelah utara.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the validity of the Physics Event Photo Analysis (AFKF) module based on the STEM approach and improve students' critical thinking skillsat SMA Negeri 1 Rogojampi. The researchers implemented the ADDIE development model to achieve these goals, which consisted of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data collecting techniques used in this research were interviews, product validation, and tests. The validation results indicated that the product was feasible to use with a validity percentage of 93%. The percentages can be categorized as very valid and can be used without revision. Furthermore, the percentage of the product's effectiveness in improving students' critical thinking abilitywas 66.58% which was included in the medium category. The PhysBased on the STEM approach, the Event Photo Analysis Module (AFKF) based ed positive responses from students with a percentage of 76%.TThis development research concluded that the STEM approach-based Physics Event Photo Analysis (AFKF) module is very valid and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The maintenance of embankment is important to avoid some damages like landslide. Brantas river passes 6 cities, include Mojokerto. Landslide of Brantas embankment was occured at Lengkong and Mlirip, Mojokerto. The location of landslide is near from crowded highway. Therefore evaluation using resistivity method is needed to identification vulnerability of landslide. There are 4 line of data acquisition. First, suspected there are seepage at point 25-35 m and fracture at point 65-75 m  from dam. Then, second line, there is a suspect of fracture at point 65-90 m and seepage at point 110-125 m. Third line, at point 20-35 m and 110-140 m are suspected as fracture and at point 55-75 m is suspected as seepage. The last line is indicated that the embankment was good.

Abstract

Perkembangan pendidikan tidak terlepas dari perkembangan teknologi. Perkembangan teknologi dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar yang inovatif dan menyenangkan bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas video dan respon mahasiswa terhadap pengunaan video pembelajaran tentang pemanfaatan pengolahan kakao pada pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Responden penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Fisika Dasar III pada semester gasal 2019/2020. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon mahasiswa, lembar validasi, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan prosentase dari skala likert yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi video pembelajaran tentang pemanfaatan pengolahan kakao pada validasi konten sebesar 87%, komponen bahasa sebesar 82% dan komponen desain dan tampilan sebesar 80%, serta keefektifan media video sebesar 83%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan berada dalam kategori valid dan layak digunakan. Hasil angket respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan video pembelajaran tentang pengolahan kakao menunjukkan bahwa respon mahasiswa sangat positif, pada aspek ketertarikan terhadap video pengolahan kakao sebesar 81,46%, aspek penguasaan konsep 83,30%, aspek sikap ilmiah 83,88% dan aspek kesadaran lingkungan 81,91%. Dengan demikian, penggunaan video pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal tentang pemanfaatan pengolahan kakao dapat dijadikan alternatif sumber belajar berbasis teknologi dalam pembelajaran fisika.Katakunci: pengolahan kakao, respon mahasiswa, video pembelajaran

Abstract

ABSTRAKTeknologi yang berkembang semakin pesat menuntut adanya inovasi dalam dunia pendidikan demi terwujudnya pendidikan yang bermutu. Modul interaktif menjadi salah satu solusi dalam penyampaian materi di setiap pembelajaran. Hal ini dikarenakan tampilan modul yang menarik dan jelas. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan respon mahasiswa terhadap pengembangan modul interaktif berbasis macromedia flash 8 pada materi optik geometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Modul ini dilengkapi dengan animasi pendukung materi serta soal-soal latihan agar mahasiswa mampu mengasah kemampuannya setelah mempelajari modul tersebut. Subyek penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa mata kuliah Fisika Dasar III di Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penyebaran angket respon yakni 79,8% dengan kategori baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul interaktif ini diterima dengan baik oleh mahasiswa dan dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran pada materi optik geometri. Kata Kunci : macromedia flash 8; modul interaktif; optik geometri. ABSTRACTTechnology that is growing rapidly demands innovation in the world of education for the sake of a quality education. The interactive module is one of the solutions in delivering material in each lesson. This is due to the attractive and clear appearance of the module. The purpose of this study was to describe the student's response to the development of an interactive module based on macromedia flash 8 on geometric optics. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model. This module is equipped with animation supporting material and practice questions so that students are able to hone their skills after studying the module. The subjects of this study were students of the Basic Physics subject III in the Physics Education Study Program of the University of Jember. The data collection technique used a response questionnaire to collect data. The results obtained from the distribution of response questionnaires were 79,8% with good categories. So it can be concluded that this interactive module is well received by students and can help students in the learning process on geometric optical material. Keywords : macromedia flash 8; an interactive module; optical geometry

Abstract

Creating stocking flower craft in Sumber Rejo Village is an activity to support creative economy and empower society. A creative economy is an activity to create added value based on ideas that come from the creativity of human resources and are based on science, cultural heritage, and technology. The handicraft sector is one sector that can be developed. The partner of the executor is the PKK (The Indonesian Family Welfare Guidance) in Sumber Rejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency, has a creative idea by using stockings to turn them into beautiful flower-shaped crafts. The partner problem that will be resolved by the proposing team is to provide training on online digital-based marketing plans and strategies with the hope of being able to increase a broad market share and increase sales turnover. Besides that, it also carries out product development by forming flowers in a bouquet and placing it in a frame as a wall decoration. Based on the implementation of community service to partners in the Sumber Rejo Umbulsari area of ​​Jember, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in knowledge and abilities about stocking flower creation, increased abilities regarding the use of online media as a media for marketing products, and strategies in marketing online.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum aims to provide a meaningful learning experience, namely by developing an attitude, knowledge, and skills. This means that knowledge, scientific process skills, and scientific attitudes are very important to be instilled in students. However, learning is still dominated by conventional learning, namely teacher-centered learning (teacher oriented), so that the teacher becomes the only source of knowledge. The purpose of this research is to describe the science process skills of students in learning temperature and heat through the practicum method and to find out if there is an increase in results through the practicum method on the material of temperature and heat. This type of research is descriptive research. This study used a pretest (pretest) and a final test (posttest). The result of the percentage of students' science process skills through practicum is 62.50% with sufficient category. There are 6 indicators of science process skills measured in this study, namely indicators of observation, classification, measuring, communicating, predicting, and concluding. In the observation indicator, the percentage obtained is 58.33% with the less category, the classification indicator is 75.00% in the sufficient category, the measuring indicator is 75.00% in the sufficient category, the communicating indicator is obtained a percentage of 58.33% with poor category, the indicator predicts that a percentage of 58.33% is obtained in the less category, and the indicator concludes that a percentage of 50.00% is obtained in the very poor category. In the pretest results obtained a percentage of 51.39% with a very poor category, while the posttest results obtained a percentage of 62.49% with a sufficient category. From the results of the pretest and posttest, it can be seen that there is an increase in results after learning with the practicum method.

Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced technology in the field of education also affects teaching and learning activities, namely in the process of delivering by teachers to students well. Most students consider physical learning to be quite difficult and less interesting. Especially in the current Covid-19 pandemic situation where students have to study online from home. One way to make classroom learning interesting and innovative is through the use of media. This study aims to determine the response of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Glenmore after using physical learning media in the form of animated videos using Sparkol Videoscribe dynamic fluid material. The research method used is a descriptive method using an instrument in the form of a response questionnaire given to 34 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Glenmore. the results of the research that has been done show that the animated video media using Sparkol Videoscribe dynamic fluid material gets a very positive response from the respondents, namely the animated video media gets an average score of 82.3% from students.
