Abstract

Research has been carried out on the characterization of biochar pores produced from bagasse through a pyrolysis process at a temperature of 110oC for 4 hours, using the Scaning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX) method. The biochar of sugarcane pulp produced is then tested for its ability to absorb nitrogen content (% N-total), with the source of N is urea fertilizer through the Kjedhal method based on SNI (2801: 2010), and the source of nitrogen from a solution of ammonium sulfate (NH4)2SO4 by the titrimetric method. The SEM measurement results showed that the biochar pores were uniform and micro-sized, while the peat pores were macro in size and irregular. EDX results show that biochar is composed of 100% carbon, while peat soil consists of carbon compounds (C), Oxygen (O) Silica (Si) and Aluminum (Al). Both of biochar and peat have moisture content of 0.38% and 11.79%, ash content of 2.42% AND 24.44%, volatile content of 0.53% and 5.23% of bound or fixed carbon (cf) of 97.02% and 58.53%. The results of the biochar capacity test applied to peat soils can increase the pH of the peat from 5 to 6.5 with the ability to absorb N-total from urea (NH2)2CO and N-total fertilizer sources from ammonium sulfate (NH4)2SO4 solution of 38% - 66%, and 56.5% -84.5%.

Abstract

Avicenna lanata is a type of mangrove that dominates the Mempawah Kecil Mangrove Forest. As many as 10 bacterial genera were identified from station 1 which is close to the influence of sea water, and 8 bacterial genera from station 2 which are close to residential areas. This study aims to determine the rate of decomposition of A. lanata leaf litter with 4 observation time periods with an interval of 15 days, namely the 15th, 30th, 45th and 60th days. The observations show that the rate of decomposition of the litter on the 15th day of observation is higher. Namely 0.206 gram/day at station I and 0.19 gram/day at station II, while the lowest rate of decomposition of litter occurred on the 60th day of observation, namely 0.112 gram/day at station I and 0.106 gram/day at station II. In addition, the parameters of physical and chemical of the environment such as DO, temperature, pH and salinity are in the range of their optimum values.

Abstract

Uncaria gambier Roxb is a plant from the Rubiaceae family, belongs to the Bajakah group and has been used empirically in the treatment of various types of diseases in the community. Besides being one of the industrial plants and export commodities produced in Sumatra and Kalimantan, gambier leaves is also used frequently in Indonesia, both for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. As a result, market demand both nationally and internationally have increased. The aim of this research are determination of antioxidant activity of ethanol extract and aqueous extract of gambir claw using 1,1-diphenil-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and determination of total phenol using Calcetau folin reagent. Gambier plant samples were taken in the forest area around the Tanjungpura University campus, the claws were separated and dried at room temperature, then powdered and extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol pa and aquadest, then the extract was concentrated until it was ready to be tested for antioxidant activity and determination of total phenol. The total phenolic ethanol extract and aqueous extract of gambir claw were 224.66 mg GAE/g extract (GEA : Gallic Acid Eqivalent) and 299.08 mg GAE/g extract, respectively, while the antioxidant potential (IC50) was 39.566 μg/mL and 65.140 μg/mL, and the IC50 for comparison of Vitamin C was 7.02 μg/mL.

Abstract

Bakteri merupakan komponen utama dari suatu ekosistem dan menempati sebanyak-banyaknya ruang di dalam lingkungan tersebut, termasuk ekosistem mangrove. Bakteri memiliki fungsi utama sebagai pengurai bahan organik dalam lingkungan mangrove untuk dikonversi menjadi sumber energy bagi tumbuhan dan hewan dalam ekosistem yang sama. Tingginya produktivitas mangrove dalam suatu ekosistem tergantung pada aktivitas dari bakteri pengurainya. Avicenna lanata adalah salah satu pohon mangrove yang secara alamiah tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baiknya di kawasan mangrove Desa Sungai Bakau Besar kabupaten Mempawah. Kemampuan mengurai serasah daun A. lanata dari bakteri-bakteri dalam ekosistem tersebut menentukan tingkat produktivitas ekosistem mangrovenya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan jumlah dan jenis genus bakteri pengurai serasah daun A. lanata pada ekosistem mangrove tersebut, dan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukannya bakteri dari genus Bacillus, Kurthia, Sporosarcina, Listeria, Corynebacterium, Azotobacter, Alcaligenes, Pseudomonas, Serratia, Vibrio, dan Actinobacillus

Abstract

Castor oil plant (Jatropha curcas L.) is one of the types of plants that can be alternative energy sources replacement fuel. Plant spacing the Castor oil plant Jatropha curcas belongs to the shrubs that come from Central America, Mexico and spread to Africa and Asia. Process presses the castor bean castor oil can produce Jatropha curcas called crude Jatropha curcas oil and can be used as a substitute for kerosene for household use. This research has been carried out at the experimental Ciparanje, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Padjadjaran. In Jatinangor Sumedang reached places with an altitude of 829 m above sea level in June 2016-January 2017. The goal of the research is to obtain doses of the humic acid and dose of Asrbuskula Mycorrhiza Fungi and effect on plant growth the distance the fence. This research used a Randomized Completely Block Design as Factorial Design Patterns Group consists of two factors and three replicates. The first factor is the second factor of the humic acid and Asrbuskula Mycorrhiza Fungi. The observations were analyzed statistically using test method F. Test Duncan's Multiple Range Test done when F calculate the treatment is greater than F table 5%. The results showed that humic acid was accompanied by Asrbuskula Mycorrhiza Fungi provides high-impact on crops, the diameter of the heading, rate of growing plants, the relative rate of plants, broad leaves, and net assimilation rate. A dose of 20 g humic acid which carries 5 g Asrbuskula Mycorrhiza Fungi was the best dose for plant growth the distance the fence.Keywords: Fences, Humic acid, Mycorrhiza Arbuskula Fungi

Abstract

Perekonomian yang lesu di masa pandemi COVID-19 berdampak pada desa-desa terpencil, terutama dengan pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) pada pertengahan tahun 2021. Pantai Mutiara, salah satu pantai di wilayah Kecamatan Sukadana, dengan jumlah penduduk sekitar 500 KK, dengan mata pencaharian penduduk adalah bertani sambil mencari ikan. Menurunnya daya beli masyarakat akibat pandemi Covid-19 membuat semangat para nelayan melaut untuk mencari ikan sebagai mata pencaharian tambahan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) merupakan bentuk kepedulian tim pelaksana kegiatan PKM Fakultas MIPA Universitas Tanjungpura yang bertujuan untuk mengaktifkan kembali kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir Pantai Mutiara Desa Gunung Sembilan Kecamatan Sukadana melalui pelatihan. dalam pembuatan banyak produk olahan kerang bambu (Solen sp). ada di pantai. Kegiatan PKM ini diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta yang terdiri dari ibu rumah tangga dan remaja putri. Metode kegiatan adalah metode ceramah tentang kerang, manfaat dan beberapa proses pengolahannya, dan metode praktik/demonstrasi pembuatan sirup dan tepung tempurung bambu.

Abstract

Uncaria gambir is a member of Rubiaceae family. Information related to antioxidants and the use of this plant in the food and cosmetic industry has been widely reported. This study aims to determine the physicochemical properties, phytochemical content and antioxidant activity of herbal tea made from gambir claw, which was collected from the Pontianak City area of ​​West Kalimantan. Determination of physicochemical properties is based on measuring the parameters of pH, water content, ash content and organoleptic including taste, odor and color when dissolved in water. Phytochemical screening was carried out using specific reagents to determine the presence of flavonoid compounds, tannins, alkaloids and saponins. Antioxidant activity was determined using the free radical scavenging method 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). From the results of the measurement of the physical and chemical properties of gambir claw herbal tea, the pH, ash content, moisture content and powder conditions met the requirements of SNI No 3836 of 2013, phytochemical screening showed positive results for flavonoid and tannin compounds, and antioxidant activity was obtained at 88,398 ppm, classified as a strong antioxidant.

Abstract

Abstract: The creativity and innovation of teachers in learning methods and techniques is very important in the success of the learning process of students in the classroom. The use of technology to accommodate the creativity of education personnel has become a basic need, and to make this happen, requires intensive assistance and training. The purpose of this activity is to examine the application of technology adaptation to education staff at the state elementary school No. 15 Segedong, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, through the students of the Teaching Campus 2 (KM 2) team assigned to the school. This research is descriptive qualitative, using primary data sourced from field observations, interviews with education staff (school teachers), school principals and students who become KM 2 agents at the school accompanied by documentation that supports factual activities in the field. In addition, this research is also supported by the availability of secondary data that can be obtained from the literature or references that are relevant to the research topic. The results showed that the technological adaptation carried out by the students of the KM 2 Segedong team went well, and could improve the ability of the educators at the school in utilizing science and technology (IT) in learning methods at the school. Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan literasi dan numerasi merupakan kompetensi dasar manusia dalam menghadapi dan memahami rutinitas kehidupan sehari-hari melalui aktivitas membaca, melihat, berhitung sederhana ,bercakap dan menyimak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa kelas 5 di SDN No 15 Segedong Pontianak melalui kegiatan Kampus Mengajar 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, di mana pengumpulan data primer berdasarkan observasi langsung ke lapangan untuk mengumpulkan data faktual berdasarkan wawancara dengan pihak sekolah disertai dokumentasi, dan ditunjang dengan data sekunder dari penelusuran referensi ilmiah yang relevan dengan topik yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada awal kegiatan terdapat beberapa peserta didik yang mengalami stagnansi dalam pembelajaran literasi numerasi, kemungkinan disebabkan oleh pembelajaran daring di rumah selama pandemic Covid 19, tetapi pada akhir kegiatan menunjukkan seluruh peserta didik yang berjumlah 19 peserta didik telah tuntas memiliki kemampuan literasi numerasi diindikasikan dengan kemampuan mengerjakan soal-soal tematik melalui kemampuan membaca, berhitung, menulis, menyimak dan dan menyelesaikan asessmen kompetensi minimum untuk persiapan mengikuti asesmen nasional berbasis komputer di kelas 6 nanti.
