Abstract

Kenikir dan leunca seringkali digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia sebagai penikmat makanan atau yang biasa disebut dengan lalapan. Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) dan Leunca (Solanum ningrum L) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan. Antioksidan merupakan suatu molekul yang mampu menetralkan efek radikal bebas dalam penstabilan molekul yang berbahaya, dengan cara menerima dan juga mendonasikan elektron untuk mengeliminasi molekul dalam kondisi yang tidak berpasangan. Radikal bebas sering didapatkan dari lingkungan, seperti asap rokok, obat, makanan dalam kemasan, bahan adiktif, dan yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak daun kenikir dan daun leunca dengan metode DPPH. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengujian kali ini adalah dengan menggunakan skrining fitokimia dan uji antioksidan dengan DPPH, DPPH merupakan radikal bebas yang stabil. Parameter yang digunakan dalam mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan adalah IC50. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa estrak daun kenikir dan daun leunca memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Aktivitas antioksidan yang tinggi terdapat pada daun leunca dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 91,43 ppm, dan pada daun kenikir menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan yang lemah dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 706,49 ppm. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun leunca memiliki aktivitas antioksidan lebih tinggi dari pada ekstrak daun kenikir.

Abstract

Tanaman sirih merah merupakan salah satu tanaman obat potensial yang diketahui secara empiris memiliki khasiat untuk menyembuhkan berbagai jenis penyakit. Dari beberapa hasil penelitian ilmiah menyatakan bahwa sirih memiliki kandungan yang berkhasiat dan berjuta manfaat bagi kesehatan. Salah satu senyawa yang bermanfaat pada sirih merah adalah saponin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tipe saponin yang ada pada ekstrak metanol daun sirih merah dan mengetahui kadar saponin dalam pelarut metanol ekstrak daun sirih merah. Tehnik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa penelitian secara kualitatif dengan membandingkan uji buih, uji warna dan uji kromatografi lapis tipis. Sedangkan analisa penelitian secara kuantitatif, pengukuran kadar saponin dilakukan dengan gravimetri. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kadar saponin ekstrak metanol daun sirih merah sebesar 2.2978 %.

Abstract

Skabies meruoakan penyakit kulit yang ditimbulkan oleh tungau Sarcoptes scabiei varian hominis. Skabies ini biasanya menyerang orang-orang yang hidup dalam kelompok-kelompok seperti di desa, rumah, penjara, asrama, dan panti asuhan yang memiliki layanan lingkungan yang buruk. Penyakit skabies ini mudah menular dari hewan ke manusia ataupun sebaliknya.dan juga manusia ke manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengetahuan dan personal hygiene santriwati terhadap penyakit skabies di Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Putri Kampus 2 Mantingan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif retrospektif dengan desain sampel jenuh. Sampel ini diambil sebanyak 37 santriwati dengan menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling (Skala Likert). Hasil pengetahuan berdasarkan definisi dan gejala skabies dengan persentase 59,45%, berdasarkan penyebab skabies dengan persentase 62,62%, berdasarkan pencegahan skabies dengan persentase 51,35%, berdasarkan pengobatan skabies dengan persentase 48,64%. Personal hygiene berdasarkan kebersihan kulit dengan persentase 51,35%, berdasarkan kebersihan badan dengan persentase 62,16%, berdasarkan kebersihan kuku dan tangan dengan persentase 43,24%, berdasarkan kebersihan handuk dengan persentase 64,86%, berdasarkan kebersihan genital dengan perentase 81,08%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar pengetahuan santriwati termasuk dalam kategori baik dan Personal hygiene santriwati sebagian besar termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Salah satu tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pengobatan tradisional adalah labu air. Buah labu air (Lagenaria siceraria (Molina) Standl) mengandung saponin yang digunakan sebagai antimikroba. saponin di dalam bidang kesehatan digunakan sebagai bahan baku untuk sintesis hormon steroid. Kadar senyawa aktif yang terkandung pada tanaman obat selain dipengaruhi oleh faktor genetik juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tipe saponin yang ada pada ekstrak labu air dengan metode sokletasi. Labu yang digunakan berasal dari daerah yang memiliki ketinggian yang berbeda yakni Pacet dengan tinggi 700 mdpl dan Puri dengan tinggi 50-100 mdpl. Dilakukan pengujian untuk menghitung kadar saponin pada ekstrak labu air dan dilakukan perhitungan serta perbandingan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan kadar saponin pada ekstrak labu air di daerah Pacet dan Puri dengan Metode Gravimetri. Gravimetri merupakan penetapan kuantitatif atau jumlah sampel melalui perhitungan berat zat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa labu air mengandung saponin triterpenoid. Ditandai dengan pembentukan lingkaran cokelat pada uji Liebermann-Burchard. Hasil dari randemen ekstrak labu air di Pacet 20,05% dan Puri 22,10%. Ada perbedaan jumlah kadar saponin dari labu air, yaitu daerah Pacet sebesar 10,37% dan daerah Puri 14,61%, perbedaan tersebut dapat disebabkan oleh faktor lingkungan seperti ketinggian pada dimana sampel diambil.

Abstract

ABSTRACT One way to overcome body odor is by using deodorant. One of the herbal ingredients that can be used in deodorant formulations is Piper crocatum leaves. Piper crocatum leaves have numerous bioactive compounds as an antibacterial agent. Beside, the deodorants can be added with other ingredients for example, alum (KAl(SO4)2.12H2O) an antiperspirant. This study aims to determine the result of physical stability tests in deodorant spray formulations from Piper crocatum extract with variation of alum. Piper crocatum leaves were extracted using a maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. The deodorant spray formulation uses Piper crocatum leaf extract with variation of alum at 0% (control), 10% (F-1), 20% (F-2) and 25% (F-3). The result were then tested for pH, organoleptic, homogeneity, spray power, dry time, and cloth effect. The result were then analyzed by comparing with the standard deodorant spray in the 1995 Pharmacopoeia and the 1998 Indonesian National Standard. The results showed that F-1 has the most standard test results covering organoleptic test results, homogeneity, pH, spray power, dry time and effect on fabrics. Salah satu bahan herbal yang dapat digunakan dalam formulasi deodoran adalah daun sirih merah. Daun sirih merah memiliki senyawa yang memiliki kemampuan antibakteri. Selain bahan aktif, deodoran dapat ditambahi dengan bahan lain misalnya aluminium kalium sulfat yang berfungsi debagai antiperspiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji stabilitas fisik dalam formulasi deodran spray dari ekstrak sirih merah dengan variasi alumunium kalium sulfat. Daun sirih merah diekstrak menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 70%. Formulasi deodorant spray menggunakan ekstrak daun siirh merah dengan variasi aluminium kalium sulfat sebesar 0% (control), 10% (F-1), 20% (F-2) dan 25% (F-3). Hasil sediaan kemudian di uji pH, organoleptik, homogenitas, daya semprot, waktu kering, dan efek kain. Hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan cara membandingkan dengan standar deodoran spray yang ada di Farmakope 1995 dan Standar Nasional Indonesia 1998. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan F-1 adalah sediaan yang memiliki hasil uji paling memenuhi standar meliputi hasil uji organoleptic, homogenitas, pH, daya semprot, waktu kering dan efek terhadap kain.     Kata kunci : alum, deodoran spray, ekstrak, sirih merah

Abstract

The use of infused water as a healthy drink for endurance needs to be widely disseminated in society after the Covid 19 pandemic. Infused water or spa water is water that is added with pieces of fruit and left for a few hours until the juice comes out, then it is ready to be consumed, thus giving the impression taste and health benefits. Infused water can be used as an alternative for those who don't or don't like fruit and don't have time to consume fruit. The purpose of this community service program is to increase the skills and knowledge of the community in making infused water, as well as the importance of increasing the body's immunity by utilizing health drinks such as infused water. The method used is descriptive, lecture, discussion and hands-on practice of making infused water with PKK administrators in Bangak Sine village, Sragen Regency. The results of this community service activity can be seen from the increased knowledge and ability of the participants in making the correct infused water according to the instructions previously socialized. The conclusion of this community service activity is that participants can make infused water independently and increase public knowledge about the benefits of infused water as an immune booster

Abstract

Health Effort Based Human Resources is a real fact of community participated in health development that can trigger the community empowerment activities, such as Family Medicinal Plants (FMP). FMP are several kinds of selection plants that could be planted in the yard or home environment. The existence of this plants in the home yard are important, especially for the family with lack of access to the health services. This was a community service; community empowerment entitled “Establishment and Assistance for Independent Care for the Use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) in the Community" in Tempursari Hamlet, Karanganyar, Sambungmacan, Sragen Regency. The aims were to improve the community and cadre knowledge and ability about the utization of FMP. There were 16 people involved in this community service. The instruments were pre-posttest questionnaire and observation cheklist. The analize was used frequency distribution, graph for the pre-posttest value, and also give a module about the Family Medicinal Plants (FMP) and 5 kinds of medicinal plants to the participants. The result showed mean of pretest was 71,56 and its increase to 84,69 in posttest, it showed the achievement of the Communication Information and Education (CIE)implementation and the dissemination that the minimum score level of posttest was 75. It means, there were the raising level of community knowledge about FMP and the utilization. It is recommended to the public health center to held the workshop and founding the cadre and community about FMP and the utilization

Abstract

Adolescent girls are a group that is vulnerable to nutritional deficiency problems. Nutrients in the blood can be determined through hemoglobin levels. Foods that are high in vitamin C and vitamin A are fruits and vegetables. In addition to vitamins, fruits and vegetables also contain fiber, folic acid, and various minerals. Sufficient recommendations for fruit and vegetable consumption according to the Balanced Nutrition Guidelines (2014) for toddlers, pre-school age (5-6 years) and school-age children (6-12 years) are 300-400 grams per day. Based on the initial survey conducted on students of TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan, Paron Ngawi, which was conducted by interview, there were 8 out of 11 students who did not understand about nutritional problems in adolescents. The target community service activities are students of TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan, Paron Ngawi. The location of this community service implementation is at TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan Paron Ngawi. Time of activity, the implementation of community service activities will be carried out in September 2023, with the aim of community service activities is to provide or add to the education of young women TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan Paron Ngawi about consuming fruit and vegetables and nutritional problems in adolescents. When the pre-test and post-test were carried out regarding the knowledge of young women at TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan Paron Ngawi before counseling was carried out about anemia, most of them had less knowledge as many as 19 people, 5 people had sufficient knowledge and 6 people had good knowledge, while the level of knowledge after counseling experienced an increase, namely respondents with a good level of knowledge as many as 20 people, enough knowledge as many as 7 people and less knowledge as many as 3 people

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition or transition from childhood to adulthood which is marked by changes both physically and psychologically, one of the physical changes in adolescents is menstruation. 98.8% of adolescents in Indonesia experience dysmenorrhea during menstruation. Herbal products or phytopharmaceuticals are currently the main alternative for adolescence girls in overcoming dysmenorrhea, one of which is turmeric sour herbal drink. Turmeric sour drink is a drink that is processed with the main ingredient of turmeric. The active compounds of turmeric and sour, namely curcumin and essential oils, have the potential as analgesics that will inhibit uterine contractions, thereby reducing dysmenorrhea. Turmeric is one of the spices that are widely cultivated in Pondok Gontor. Even though they are known for their turmeric production, there are not many adolescence girls in Pondok Gontor Village that produce turmeric and sour herbal drinks. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of adolescence girls in Pondok Gontor Village in making turmeric and sour herbal drinks. This activity was carried out on 20 adolescence girls in the Hall Pondok Gontor Village in October 2023. The methods used were socialization, demonstration and interactive discussion. Adolescence girls were given training and hands-on demonstrations for processing turmeric. Participants who took part in the activity were very enthusiastic and had many direct discussions related to the manufacturing process. The manufacture of turmeric sour herbal drink can be used as a dysmenorrhea reliever and can be developed into a commercial product and has a selling value.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most frequent cardiovascular diseases and is suffered by many people. Hypertension has now become a major problem for all of us, not only for Indonesia but also throughout the world, because hypertension is one of the triggers or risk factors for many other diseases such as diabetes. , heart disease, stroke and kidney failure, hypertension is now ranked third as a risk factor for death. In 2025, the increase in hypertension cases, especially in developing countries, is estimated at 80% from 639 million cases in 2000 or around 1.15 billion cases [1]). In pharmacognosy and phytotherapy, celery leaves are known to contain apigenin which can prevent the narrowing of blood vessels and can also relax artery muscles or relax blood vessels. This substance is able to regulate blood flow, allowing blood vessels to loosen or enlarge and reduce blood pressure. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out a community empowerment activity program in the use of celery plants to help overcome the problem of hypertension, which is implemented in the Community Service program under the PKM scheme with the partners being PC IAI Sragen and residents of Patihan Village, Sidoharjo District, Sragen. This PKM activity took place with five activities, namely: Checking participants' blood pressure before treatment and also using celery plants, initially carrying out a pre-test on participants before counseling, weighing and giving celery plants to be distributed to each participant so that they are able to carry out therapy. alone at home, conducting lectures and discussions about the use of traditional plants for hypertension, antihypertensive chemical medicines, and the use of celery plants for antihypertension, demonstrations on making herbal drinks from celery plants which are efficacious as antihypertensives and distributing drinks to participants, carrying out post-tests. The solution offered is an increase in the knowledge, attitudes and skills of PKM partners as shown by an increase in post-test scores after being compared with the pre-test scores. Apart from that, there was also an increase in the level of public health with a decrease in blood pressure, especially in participants who suffered from hypertension after being treated with celery leaves.
