Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing symptoms of strengthening identity politics. As a pluralistic nation, this phenomenon is certainly dangerous because it can lead to social conflict and national disintegration. This research was conducted with the aim that educational institutions can play a role and minimize this potential. What he can do is to instill the values of multiculturalism in learning practices, especially in history learning. For this reason, the problems that are tried to be put forward in this research are: 1) what is meant of multiculturalism education? 2) what is the conception of multiculturalism education in history learning? 3) how to develop multiculturalism narrative in history learning materials?. This research uses literature study method. In the literature study, data were obtained from several library sources such as journal articles, books, internet, newspapers and magazines. From the results of the study, it was revealed that multiculturalism education is a concept that was created to help someone understand and appreciate regardless of the high or low culture, ethnicity, religion, race, gender, language, economic ability to disability inherent in a person. Learning history with a multiculturalism approach is ideological. In history learning, multiculturalism education can be carried out by accommodating students' cultural differences, utilizing culture as a source of content, and using history as a tool to understand other people's cultures in order to grow mutual respect, tolerance, a sense of unity and the spirit of nationalism. A historical event that can be used as an alternative narrative in the development of multiculturalism education is when Suharto at the beginning of his reign tried to re-establish Pancasila and the 45’ constitution as the ideology and basis of the state amid the threat of ideological conflicts between political parties and the emergence of an inclusive Islamic movement led by Nurcholish Madjid as a response to the death of the movement Islamic politics during the New Order era.

Abstract

This study aims to map the ability of historical empathy in learning the history of global diversity. This article adopts qualitative research with literature review method. The steps in this method are: first, identifying the formulation of the problem; second, identifying relevant research; third, selecting studies; fourth, mapping the data; and fifth, compiling, summarizing, and reporting the results. The results of the study describe the definition of historical empathy, the construction of the concept of historical empathy in the formation of the character of global diversity, and the practice of historical empathy with insight into global diversity, which includes relevant learning models, learning resources, and appropriate learning materials. The Learning Model includes introduction, investigation, display, and reflection. Learning resources are recommended through films or museums and must be adapted to learning materials. The implications of this study as a reference material for history teachers in learning design who want to develop historical empathy skills, especially based on global diversity in order to strengthen the character of “Profil Pelajar Pancasila” for students who are tolerant, democratic, open-minded, and critical thinking.

Abstract

TThis research titled “The Dynamics of SocioCulture Life of Chinese Ethnic in Frames of Assimilation Policy by the New Order Government (1966-1998)”. The background why researcher took this problem is due to the interest in the condition of Chinese ethnic and the assimilation policy that applied by New Order Government. The application of assimilation policy has an impact on the limited space of Chinese ethnic lives. The main issue that examined in this research is “How was the New Order Government applied the assimilation policy toward Chinese ethnic in Indonesia specially in socio-culture aspect in 1966-1988?” This problem was examined by using the historical method that divided into four steps: Heuristic, Critic, Interpretation, Historiography. As for the data collection that used is literature studies by examining many literature sources which relevant with the topic. Based on the results, could be explain that First New Order Government applied the assimilation policy influenced by the idea of Chinese figures and made the ide as an official policy to resolve problems of Chinese ethnic that had long been happened in Indonesia. Second, the implementation of assimilation policy was experienced some obstacles and caused some problems on its implementation. Third, assimilation policy in social-culture aspect gave the negative impact that limiting the movement of Chinese ethnic in various areas of life, but gave them the room in economic aspect, assimilation policy was also giving the positive impact in creating multicultural society. The results of this study can be seen that the mutual respects were needed for the creation of harmony between communities in the country.

Abstract

The local historical event that occurred in Bandung Regency under R. E. Soeriapoetra during the revolution era was in a state of a refugee. This was due to attacks carried out by the Dutch who wanted to return to control Indonesia. In general, this study wants to answer the question about “How was Raden Toemoenggoeng Endoeng Soeriapoetra administered of his government amid the political crisis post-independence?”. This research aimed to analyze the local government under R.T.E. Soeriapoetra in Bandung Regency. To discuss the study, the researcher conducted a study using historicalmethods that include heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on the results it can be explained that even though the administration under R.T.E. Soeriapoetra’s leadership was unstable, the local government still ran due to good communication and cooperation between the leaders, subordinates and the people. The undertaken program was only related to the government’s situation at that time such as making roads, repairing roads and supplying food, clothing for the fighters and also the people because at that time the process of government is in a state of a refugee. So that in his leadership as Regent of Bandung not many programs were made. He also served as Regent of Bandung in a short time which is only two years, starting from 1945-1947, because caught by the Dutch. He was also offered to become regent again under Pasundan State but he refused. He chose to be detained rather thanhaving to cooperate with the Dutch.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah di kelas XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 7 Bandung. Indikator pemahaman konsep yang diukur pada penelitian ini yaitu membaca sumber mengenai materi yang sedang dipelajari, mengenal konsep-konsep, menjelaskan konsep-konsep, memberikan contoh-contoh dari konsep, mengklasifikasikan konsep-konsep, dan menghubungkan konsep-konsep. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, perkembangan siswa dalam mencapai kriteria indikator pemahaman konsep yang telah ditentukan mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya, hal ini dapat terlihat dari peningkatan perolehan skor masing-masing indikator pada setiap siklusnya. Hal ini menunjukkan keberhasilan dari penerapan media permainan Ludo History (Dory) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Kemudian, jika melihat hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, media permainan Ludo History (Dory) dapat dijadikan suatu alternatif solusi untuk menghadapi masalah pembelajaran yang ditemukan di kelas

Abstract

This study aimed to elaborate on the influence of Kiai Haji Yayat Ruhiyat Sirodj leadership to boarding school’s education development. Albidayah Boarding School is a modern boarding school which still maintain traditional elements. Albidayah Boarding School’s development cannot be apart from one of the figures that once led, namely Kiai Haji Yayat Ruhiyat Sirodj. The main problem in this research is “how was the education system of Albidayah Boarding School under the leadership of Kiai Haji Yayat Ruhiyat Sirodj in 1971-2011?”. This problem was examined by using a historical method that includes heuristic, critics, interpretation, and historiography. For data collection and research sources, conducted with literature study and history's witness interviews. Results study showed that under the leadership of Kiai Haji Yayat Ruhiyat Sirodj, Albidayah Boarding School has a significant development in the education field. Began with the traditional Islamic boarding school education (salafi) and developed into a modern boarding school (khalafi) by combining religion and general knowledge. The changing in the education system in Kiai Haji Yayat Ruhiyat Sirodj leadership era was made Albidayah Boarding School as official education institution under the government to build SP-IAIN (Sekolah Persiapan-Institut Agama Islam Negeri/ School Preparation-the State of Islamic Institute) in 1971. Then in 1993, Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Albidayah was built and in 2006 an Integrated Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Albidayah was also built. The curriculum that used by Albidayah Boarding School is an integrated curriculum that covers Boarding School Curriculum, the Ministry of Education and Culture Curriculum, and the Ministry of Religion Curriculum.

Abstract

The background of this study is the lack of ability to process information of students in history subject in grade 11 Social I Pasundan 8 Senior High School Bandung. This can be seen from most students were only able to develop the ability to remember and memorize. When students are exposed to an issue, students were not able to process the information. The ability to process the information outlined in this study is the student’s ability to process information from a variety of sources of information when learning takes place. To that end, researchers are trying to do research with the goal of improving students’ ability to process information through the implementation of film media in history subject. This research is using a classroom action research methods design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The classroom action research method (PTK) were done with four steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on the research that has been done, student progress in achieving the criteria on the indicator of the ability to process information that has been determined to experience a significant increase in each cycle. Through the implementation of film as media, the students used to process the information they receive. This shows that in the application of the film to enhance the students’ ability to process information is one way that can be used in the teaching of history in schools. The results of this study can be used as advice or recommendations as well as consideration for teachers so that students will have the ability to process information so that the teaching process become more meaningful.

Abstract

Soekarno was an important figure in Indonesian history whose philosophy had contributed significantly to Indonesian development. Many studies have been carried out on Soekarno’s biography and historical narratives that had an impact on a global scale. However, the study of his thoughts and philosophy regarding education requires much more elaboration. The method used in this study is a historical method, done by exploring archival sources from ANRI (National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia) in the form of Soekarno's speeches at various activities. These archives sufficiently describe Soekarno's thoughts on education. The exploration of Soekarno's philosophy and thoughts in this article is focused on more general aspects of education. From exploring various sources, especially Soekarno's speeches, several themes extracted from his thoughts regarding the philosophy of education, national education, Islamic education, the relationship between pure and applied science, as well as the relationship between science, ideology, struggle, and social welfare were obtained.Soekarno adalah tokoh penting dalam sejarah Indonesia yang filsafatnya telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pembangunan Indonesia. Banyak kajian yang dilakukan terhadap biografi dan narasi sejarah Sukarno yang berdampak pada skala global. Namun kajian pemikiran dan filosofinya mengenai pendidikan memerlukan penjabaran lebih lanjut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode sejarah, dilakukan dengan menggali sumber arsip dari ANRI (Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia) berupa pidato-pidato Soekarno di berbagai kegiatan. Arsip-arsip ini cukup menggambarkan pemikiran Bung Karno mengenai pendidikan. Eksplorasi filosofi dan pemikiran Soekarno dalam artikel ini difokuskan pada aspek pendidikan yang lebih umum. Dari penelusuran berbagai sumber, khususnya pidato-pidato Soekarno, tersarikan beberapa tema pemikirannya mengenai filsafat pendidikan, pendidikan nasional, pendidikan Islam, hubungan ilmu murni dan ilmu terapan, serta hubungan ilmu pengetahuan, ideologi, perjuangan, dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. didapatkan.

Abstract

Covid-19 telah membawa dampak yang luar biasa bagi dunia pendidikan, termasuk di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran sejarah berbasis literasi digital dalam sejarah imasa transisi pandemi covid-19 ke new normal serta menganalisis kemampuan HOTS peserta didik melalui literasi digital dalam sejarah di SMA. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix method dengan metode sequential exploratory. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumnetasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik sejumlah 143 di SMAN 8 Bandung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam metode kualitatif adalah analisis interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan. Sementara analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan independent simple t-test untuk menguji hipotesis. Pembelajaran sejarah selama pandemi covid-19 dan transisi ke keadaan normal pembelajaran menggunakan literasi digital dalam sejarah. Guru mendorong peserta didik, agar peserta didik lebih memahami dan dapat menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan, menggunakan sumber-sumber digital seperti jurnal, video, buku online dan artikel online yang kredibel. Penggunaan literasi digital tersebut terlihat dalam tingkat kemampuan HOTS peserta didik pada pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia yang belum optimal karena tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat kememapuan OTS peserta didik baik di kelas IPA atau IPS dengan hasil signifikansi 0.821 0.05. Kemampuan  HOTS peserta didik belum optimal juga karena masih berada pada skor MIPA 69.9 dan IPS 69.5. Ketuntatasan dari peserta didik mencapai 67 orang dan 76 belum tuntas. Hal ini disebabkan oleh interaksi guru yang rendah pada masa pandemi covid-19 dan transisi covid-19 serta penggunaan gadget berbasis literasi digital pada peserta didik yang tidak efektif untuk pembelajaran.

Abstract

Since 1990s Research and Development Center for Road Infrastructure has had Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), is one of the equipment to test road pavement structure completed by computerize system in measuring accuracy and speed. However, the evaluation on this equipment has not yet done. Therefore, it should be carried out a study on FWD to know how the usage of FWD technically and economically suits to management principles. FWD capacity reaches 251,280 points < 404,000 points (Dynatest-8002). Technically FWD has not optimatised yet in its capacity but its operation has been suitable to management procedures. Due to limitation on cooperation and services of FWD, its capacity can be increased until 40,000 points per-year to maximaze the provits or to increased with the payment from Rp 25,000,- to Rp 36,000 for one-point if minimize the losses. The choice of the as above alternative should be evaluated to get maximum result beside considering it as the main usage of FWD for research services; while FWD capacity is used to give services to other needed parties.
