Abstract

Agricultural activities are not only producing the visible (tangible) output in the form of food but also the non-visible output (non-marketable goods/non-tangible services). Non-visible output refers to a multifunctionality to supply food to ensure the food sufficiency of farmer household and job opportunities at rural area. The article aims to compare the capability of organic rice farming to conventional, to ensure the food sufficiency of farmer household, the economic value of rice farming to produce food, and the economic estimation of rice farming to its function as an job opportunities. The data for the research is collected in Gentungan Village, Mojogedang District, Karanganyar Regency during the crop year of 2015. In order to study the differences of two rice farming systems, the total of 60 farmers, 30 farmers are dealing with organic farming and other 30 farmers from conventional farming, are subjected for the interview in this research. The results found that the food security of organic farming is higher than conventional farming. The organic rice farming gives the economic value as the food producing and the labor-absorbing function in the study area is higher than the  conventional farming.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to know the potential of wheat farming in Getasan district as an object of agroedutourism and analyzed a wheat agroedutourism development strategy to support tropical wheat production. The collected data were analyzed using SWOT method. The results showed that wheat farmings in Getasan district was potentially become the object of agroedutourism. Strategies: Cooperation with governments, local farmers, investors, food companies to create an integrated agritourism involves the potential of cultural  tourism in the region; Create zoning for the various site locations required in agroedutourism; Plan an exciting and dynamic training program, special event, landscape arrangement, then promote it through various communication media; Improve managerial resources by establishing efficient structures, engaging in management training agritourism.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi volume ekspor kakao Indonesia pada tahun 2007-2017. Variabel yang terdapat dalam pernelitian ini ada dua yaitu variabel bebas yang terdiri dari jumlah produksi kakao, harga domestik kakao, harga internasional, nilai tukar rupiah, dan produk domestik bruto sedangkan variabel terikat adalah volume ekspor kakao. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder atau time serries yang di ambil dari beberapa sumber yaitu Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Bank Indonesia (BI), Direktorat jendral perkebunan dan International Cacao Organitation (ICCO). Jumlah data yang digunakan sebanyak 44 data yaitu berdasarkan waktu triwulan dalam kurun waktu 2007 hingga 2017. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data regresi linier berganda. Hasil uji regresi linier berganda menyatakan bahwa harga domestik kakao berpengarruh nyata dan signifikan terhadap volume eskpor kakao Indonesia. Sedangkan jumlah produksi kakao, harga internasional, nilai tukar rupiah, dan produk domestik bruto tidak berpengaruh terhadap volume ekspor kakao Indonesia.Kata kunci: Kakao, Produksi, Ekspor, Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the financial business of making micro-scale tempeh in Semarang Barat Sub-district in 2018. This research is a quantitative study using a survey method with 30 respondents with criteria as experts in business tempeh agrondustry in Semarang Barat Sub-district. Investment feasibility analysis uses Net Present Value (NPV) analysis, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and R / C Ratio analysis to find out whether there is a business tempeh agroindustry in Semarang Barat Sub-district that is feasible or not. The results of the feasibility analysis of tempe making business for 3 years, the business tempeh agroindustry is feasible to be developed, this is based on the results of research that shows the NPV (+) value of Rp. 61,730,980 which shows that the industry is feasible for investment. While the IRR (65.8%)> interest rates on commercial bank loans (DF = 11%) indicate that the business of making tempe is feasible for investment. And the value of R / C ratio (1.156)> 1, which means that the business tempeh agroindustry in Semarang Barat sub-district is feasible.Keywords : Agroindutsry, Financial feasibility, Tempeh

Abstract

Kebijakan pengembangan gandum mulai dirintis pemerintah Indonesia sejak tahun 1980-an saat Kementerian Pertanian mulai melakukan penelitian uji adaptasi gandum. Meski 30 tahun upaya pengembangan telah dilakukan, tetapi budidaya gandum tidak pernah menjadi tanaman penting dalam sistem usaha tani petani di Indonesia. Pengabdian ini bertujuan mengetahui respon kelompok tani terhadap introduksi gandum di lapangan. Analisis respon mengambil kasus dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yakni introduksi budidaya tanaman gandum dilakukan di Desa Ngadirojo, Kecamatan Ampel, Kabupaten Boyolali di tahun 2018 dan di Desa Wates, Kecamatan Getasan, Kabupaten Semarang di tahun 2019. Analisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan informan kunci yakni petani yang aktif dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakayt baik terlibat dalam budidaya gandum maupun tahap lain yang dilakukan. Hasil observasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa aspek relative advantage menjadi titik kritis dalam program introduksi gandum di tingkat kelompok tani, introduksi dengan pendekatan kelompok cukup efisien karena memungkinkan adanya umpan balik dari anggota kelompok tani dan memberi kesempatan bertukar pengalaman, dan faktor kepemimpinan ketua kelompok tani mempengaruhi respon positif dan keterlibatan anggota kelompok tani dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat introduksi gandum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between member characteristics and group dynamics with the effectiveness of a sustainable food garden program. The selection of research locations was conducted deliberately (purposive), namely at KWT Mekar Lestari, Randuacir Subdistrict Argomulyo Salatiga City. This study uses a type of descriptive research quantifiable with survey methods sampling techniques using saturated sampling or census with 30 samples or all KWT Mekar Lestari members. Data collection techniques are carried out using questionnaires, and variable dynamics of groups measured by Likert scale techniques tested validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical and Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed that age, education, and membership status had an insignificant relationship with a deficient level of relationship with the effectiveness of the P2L program. Group dynamics seen from its elements, namely group goals, group structure, group cohesiveness, group atmosphere, and group effectiveness have a significant relationship with the level of a strong relationship with the effectiveness of the P2L program, while group task functions and group coaching and maintenance have a moderate relationship and significant with the effectiveness of the P2L program. The element of group pressure has a deficient and insignificant relationship with the effectiveness of the P2L program.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food for most of the population of Indonesia. The government set the HPP (government purchasing price) to trigger the increased productivity of rice in the country as well as to improve the welfare/income of farmers. This study aimed to analyze the dynamics of rice productivity, the dynamics of HPP and HEB (retail price of rice), and to analyze the correlation between the productivity of rice, HPP of grain, and HEB in Java in the period of 2010-2014. The analysis showed that in 2010-2014, rice production tended to fluctuate, while the HPP and HEB tended to increase every year, but it is known that there is a correlation between the HPP of grain and HEB in Java. Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of Indonesia's national development targets in Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional 2015-2019 because it is considered an economic strategic sector. One of the success of development in the agricultural sector can be seen from the level of farmer's welfare which is generally determined by the Nilai Tukar Petani (NTP). This article was written to explain the level of welfare of farmers in 3 agricultural sub-sectors, namely food crop agriculture, estate crops and horticultural crops by comparing the amount of NTP in each subsector. The data used are secondary data from 2015-2019 from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). The results of the analysis showed that the NTP of food crops, estate crops and horticultural crops experienced fluctuations and the NTP of horticultural plants was the most stable among the others. The average order of NTP from the largest to the smallest is the first ranked horticultural crop with an average annual rate of 101,91, the second sequence is food plants that is equal to 101,37 and the last sequence is plantation crops that amount to 97,29.Keywords: agricultural sector development, farmer exchange rates, farmers' welfare

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menganalisis jenjang partisipasi petani dalam program pelatihan budidaya padi organik menurut Tangga Pemberdayaan Burns et al (1994). 2) menganalisis tingkat partisipasi petani dalam Program Introduksi Budidaya Padi Organik , 3) menganalisis pengaruh aspek demografi dan karakteristik sosial ekonomi petani terhadap tingkat partisipasi petani dalam Program Introduksi Budidaya Padi Organik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai Mei 2016 di Kelompok Tani Makmur II yang mendapatkan pelatihan penmgembangan budidaya padi organik di Kelurahan Pulutan, Kecamatan Sidorejo, Kota Salatiga. Daerah ini dipilih secara purposive (sengaja). menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Pengambilan responden menggunakan metode sensus yakni seluruh petani anggota kelompok tani Makmur II  sejumlah 34 petani. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa jenjang partisipasi Kelompok Tani Makmur II dalam Program Introduksi Budidaya Padi Organik menurut tangga pemberdayaan warga oleh Burns berada di jenjang ke-tujuh yaitu Effective Advisory Body. Tingkat partisipasi Kelompok Tani dikatakan sedang karena 26,5% petani memliki nilai partisipasi rendah, 47% petani termasuk golongan sedang dan 26,5% sisanya sudah memiliki partisipasi tinggi. Variabel yang berpengaruh nyata terhadap tingkat partisipasi petani adalah variabel usia, pendidikan, lama berusahatani dan  pendapatan berusahatani.Kata kunci:     jenjang-partisipasi, padi-organik, regresi-linier-berganda, tangga-partisipasi-Burns, tingkat-partisipasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan keuntungan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan usahatani padi dengan sistem kemitraan dan non kemitraan. Penentuan lokasi penelitian ini dengan sengaja (purposive). Penarikan sampel dilakukan secara probability sampling dengan metode simple random sampling. Model yang digunakan adalah fungsi keuntungan Cobb-Douglass dengan pendekatan unit output price. Hasil penelitian menunjukan keuntungan petani mitra adalah Rp 29.742.225 dan non mitra adalah Rp 26.124.976 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,049 < 0,05 pada T-test. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara total keuntungan usahatani padi sistem mitra dengan sistem non mitra. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan petani mitra adalah upah pekerja, harga pestisida, pajak lahan dan alat pertanian. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keuntungan petani nonmitra adalah upah pekerja, harga benih, harga pupuk, harga pestisida dan pajak lahan.
