Abstract

Traditional games are one of the cultural wealth in Indonesia. Along with the times and modernization, some traditional games are getting less and less attractive despite their national character values and benefits in increasing children's potential. To prevent the disappearance from society, they need to be preserved. One of the ways is by applying them in the learning process as has been implemented in several previous studies. However, from those studies, the researchers saw that many types of traditional games have still not been developed and applied in learning regardless of various types of educational traditional games. One example of a traditional game that has not been exposed is kebetuk, the one originating from the East Nusa Tenggara region, especially East Flores Regency. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find out the mathematical elements and character values contained in Kebetuk. This research was conducted by discovering the concept of mathematics in culture (kebetuk game) which can be referred to as ethnomathematics. This research was qualitative research using the ethnographic method. The data collection process was carried out employing observation and in-depth interviews. From the results, it is known that the mathematical elements in the kebetuk game consist of the characteristics of the integer arithmetic operation principle (commutative, associative, distributive addition), pattern, combination, permutation, and probability. In addition, the character values contained the game are consensus, discipline, honesty, determination, and mutual cooperation. The kebetuk game can be applied in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The test is a tool to collect information about the achievement of learning objectives so that the test must have good quality in order to be able to measure students' abilities accurately. To determine the quality of the test, it is necessary to do an analysis, one of which is the Rasch model approach. This study aims to analyze the quality of the final semester test results in learning mathematics—sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 56 students of Junior High School (SMP) in Yogyakarta, consisting of 25 males and 31 females. The test instrument consists of 40 multiple choice questions with the correct answer given a score of 1 and the wrong answer being given a score of 0. Therefore, the data obtained is dichotomous. The test kits were analyzed by applying the Rasch model. The study results obtained an estimate of the validity of item fit, where the questions analyzed had an INFIT MNSQ value between 0.94 - 1.11 and all questions with an OUTFIT value t ≤ 2.00; thus, 40 items fit according to the Rasch model. The characteristics of the test questions based on the Rasch model have a very difficult difficulty level of 0 items by 0%. The difficult category is three items at 7,5%, the medium category is 20 items at 50%, the easy category is 17 items at 42.5%, and 0% for the very easy category. The reliability of the case estimate value is 0.00 in the medium category, and the reliability of the item estimate value is 0.85 in the very high category. The implication of this research is additional knowledge regarding the Rasch analysis of mathematical problem models as a graduation standard.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a self-assessment instrument in the affective domain of students' social attitudes, which was modified by the case of the instrument item. The measurement results can be used as a recommendation for the self-assessment of students' social attitudes at school. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The instrument was content validated by five experts using Aiken, and construct validation using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), while the reliability estimation used Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The results showed that there were seven instrument factors to assess the affective domain of students' social attitudes, namely honest, disciplined, polite, caring, responsible, responsive, and proactive. Content validity using the Aiken index shows 28 valid items. The construct validity of the instrument was carried out using EFA with a KMO value of 0.618, which means it has met the requirements. The fit model based on the CFA results shows the Chi-square value 2df = 258.022x341, p-value = 0.4160.05, RMSEA = 0.01970.08, CFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.86, AGFI = 0.88.  In item estimation, the factor loading value is 0.3, which means the items in the instrument are valid. The estimated reliability of the instrument shows the Cronbach Alpha coefficient value of 0.895, which means that all developed instruments are reliable. Valid and reliable instruments are very important to get good information about the affective assessment of students' social attitudes.
