Abstract

Computational thinking (CT) or in Indonesian called computational thinking is a method to train thinking skills in solving problems with reasoning and analysis, initially computational thinking is always related to computers. In fact, computational computing does not teach how to use computers or things that are always related to but the thought processes used to support problem science in all disciplines, mathematics, science, social studies, and languages, in this case the socialization of CT in learning English and Indonesian. Computational thinking can teach from an early age, starting from the elementary school level (SD) or the equivalent (MI) by making questions in English and Indonesian subjects by providing examples of simple problem solving found in basic language lessons. Through this community service, you can socialize CT to MI and MTs secondary school teachers in Central Lombok, the content is so that teachers can enter or enter CT into the subject they are taught, so that students are familiar with problems solving problems by means of computational thinking , the sustainable survival of computational thinking, a problem can be resolved properly, quickly and optimally.

Abstract

There are various burial cultures in Indonesia, including the Chinese ethnic burial culture. What is interesting in almost all burial cultures is the cultural heritage that has been passed down through generations. The question is how actually the ceremonial Chinese ethnic funeral ritual is, and what the symbols in the ethnic Chinese funeral ritual mean. This research provides an answer solution. This research is a qualitative research. The results of the study concluded that before the funeral ritual is carried out, younger family members pay their respects to the older deceased. During the funeral ritual, the next of kin accompany the vehicle carrying the body to the burial or cremation site, on foot, if the burial place is relatively close, or by vehicle if the burial place is far away. During the funeral, flowers, offerings, food and burnt incense are served. The culture of the Chinese funeral ritual was based on belief as a form of human relations with the creator of life and also as a way to maintain the symbol of family or relatives with the deceased and to bear the sins of the deceased.

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has its own charm in the world of tourism and is known as a pioneer of halal tourism. In addition to domestic tourists, NTB tourism always has an attraction for foreign tourists. This is evidenced by the increasing number of foreign tourists visiting NTB from year to year before the Covid-19 pandemic. This condition certainly has a positive impact on increasing NTB’s economic growth in the tourism sector and indirectly on the optimization of existing infrastructure. The purpose of the study is to predict the number of foreign tourist visits to NTB so that it can assist the government in making decisions in preparing adequate facilities and infrastructure in the event of a surge in tourist visits. The method used in this study is the Box-Jenkins-ARIMA model. The ARIMA method is based on 3 models that are formed from the results of plot data. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from January 2010 to June 2019. The results show that the ARIMA (4,1,1) model is the most widely used model. This model is suitable for predicting the number of foreign tourists visiting NTB because this model produces the lowest SSE and MSE values compared to other models.

Abstract

The use of server computer machines in companies is primarily a web hosting server that is very easy to experience threats, especially external security threats such as attempts to infiltrate, hacking, viruses, and other malicious attacks. Having a secure server is indispensable for working online and especially if involved in business-related network transactions. The Server's realization to be safe from threats is to protect the server machine's security on the hardware and software side and pay attention to network security that goes to the server machine. Generally, firewall applications on router devices have configuration limitations in securing the network, namely non-integrated applications. In other words, it is necessary to manage the perfect firewall configuration to anticipate Distributed Daniel attacks of Service (DDoS) attacks. Therefore, this study aims to integrate existing firewall applications for router devices into an integrated program to secure the network. The methodology used is the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). The research results on this developed application program can overcome DDoS attacks without setting up a firewall on the router device and can automatically monitor DDoS attack activities from outside the Server. Securing servers from DDoS attacks without setting up a firewall on the router device and automating the monitoring of DDoS attack activity from outside the Server are the novelties of this study that have not been available in previous studies.

Abstract

Each higher education institution has a choice of learning models to be held, namely face-to-face learning, online learning, and blended learning. Face-to-face and online learning models have advantages and disadvantages in supporting student learning styles. Student learning styles not only represent what students like in learning, but also affect student learning outcomes. So it is not surprising, until now there is still a crossing of opinion in the achievement of learning, face-to-face learning or online learning that provides better results. This study provides an answer solution to learning English, whether face-to-face learning or online learning that is superior in cognitive learning outcomes according to student learning styles. The results of the descriptive analysis in this study concluded that students with auditory and visual learning styles taught with online learning models had higher average learning outcomes compared to students taught with face-to-face learning models; there is no difference in the average value of kinesthetic student learning outcomes between students who are taught by face-to-face learning with students who are taught by online learning; and in general the results of descriptive analysis show that online learning students are more successful in achieving learning outcomes compared to face-to-face learning students in learning English.

Abstract

Bumigora University College there are several things that are not balanced between the entry and exit of students who have completed their studies. Students who enter in large numbers, but students who graduate on time below the specified standards. As result, there was a huge accumulation of students in each graduation period. One solution to overcome the problem above needs a data mining based system in monitoring or utilizing student development in predicting graduation using the C4.5 algorithm. The stages of this research began with problem analysis, data collection, data requirement analysis, data design, coding, and testing. The results of this study are the implementation of the C4.5 algorithm for predicting student graduation on time or not. The data used is the data of students who have graduated from 2010 to 2012. The level of acceptance generated using the confusion matrix is 93,103% accuracy using 163 training data and 29 testing data or 85% training data and 15% testing data. The results of research and testing that has been done, C4.5 algorithm is very suitable to be used in student graduation prediction.
