Pembangunan di dalam keluarga terdiri dari pola pengasuhan dan pendidikan karakter sebagai perwujudan generasi yang berkualitas dan berkarakter. Pembangunan karakter ini menentukan perilaku anak, seperti keluarga di daerah pesisir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana “pola pengasuhan dan pendidikan karakter anak pada keluarga nelayan di Desa Kuala Lama Kecamatan Pantai Cermin Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai”. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara kepada 15 orang informan (nelayan buruh, perorangan, dan toke) dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 53 responden. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa pola pengasuhan otoriter ditemukan pada nelayan perorangan dan beberapa nelayan toke. Pola pengasuhan demokratis diterapkan pada keluarga nelayan buruh dan nelayan toke. Pendidikan karakter seperti menumbuhkan nilai gotong-royong, integritas, nasionalisme, dan religius, telah berjalan dengan baik. Orang tua telah mampu berperan menjadi guru, pendamping, penasehat, kepada sang anak. Hanya saja, beberapa orang tua, tidak mengarahkan secara khusus bakat atau keterampilan diri anak

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the One-Stop Integrated Service at the One-Stop Integrated Investment and Licensing Service (DPMPPTSP) of North Sumatera Province and what factors hinder increasing investment. This research method is qualitative with the type of data in the research using primary data through interviews with informants, then secondary data is obtained by conducting an analysis of literature and literature related to research. The analysis technique in this research through reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this research shows that in order to attract investors to invest in North Sumatera Province, the DPMPPTSP of North Sumatera Province tries to create positive image by removing negative images of poor licensing services. In addition to creating positive image the DPMPPTSP of North Sumatera Province tries to implementing the One-Stop Integrated Service policy which is not yet complete, in the sense that there is still a gap in authority between agencies so that it has not fully met the expectations and satisfaction of users of licensing services and besides that, a complex bureaucracy which makes it difficult for investors to manage business the permits. This causing fluctuate on investment growth. In the context of licensing and non-licensing services the Governor of North Sumatera delegated authority in accordance with the regulation of North Sumatera Governor Number 39 of 2020, delegates its authority to the North Sumatera Province’s DPMPPTSP in particular to provide licensing services and supported community as users of licensing services.

The purpose of this study is: to analyze the position, role and obstacles faced by the Civil Service Police Unit in enforcing regional regulation no. 1 of 2021 concerning Enforcement of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols in the Prevention and Control of Covid 19 in North Sumatra Province. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained through primary data (results of field interviews with informants) and secondary data (literature, books and laws and regulations). The results of the study concluded that the position of the Civil Service Police Unit in Enforcing Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2021 concerning Enforcement of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols in the Prevention and Control of Covid 19 in North Sumatra Province. This position authorizes Satpol PP to carry out outreach regarding the implementation of the health protocol and impose sanctions on violators. Its role is as an extension of the Governor of North Sumatra to carry out the instructions of the Regulations, especially in articles 11-13. Factors that become obstacles include the weak application of sanctions due to human values that emerge in officers and overlapping authorities with other law enforcers and indirectly obscuring the role of Satpol PP as stated in Articles 11-13.

The purpose of this study, among other things, is to identify and analyze the role of leadership and the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by the Civil Service Police Unit of North Sumatra Province in improving services to the community. The research design used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained directly from the field and the data analysis technique used in this study was to use the steps proposed by Bungin (Ed) (2003), which are as follows: Data Collection. Data Reduction (Data Reduction). Display Data. And Verification and Confirmation of Conclusions (Conclusion Drawing and Verification) The results of the study concluded that the role of leadership in the civil service police unit of North Sumatra Province in improving service to the community is seen in its role as a determinant of direction, as a spearhead of change and as a spokesperson. Supporting factors encountered are the relationship between superiors and subordinates, task structure and position strength in Satpol PP of North Sumatra Province. The inhibiting factors encountered include work initiatives, facilities and infrastructure and budget.

Employee performance is a very important thing in the organization's efforts to achieve its goals, to improve employee performance, it means that it requires the ability of employees to carry out work. Constraints that often occur are employees who do not have the ability, lack of discipline and do not serve well. The formulation of the research problem is how the performance of the Southeast Aceh Regency library service employees and what factors are the obstacles to the performance of Southeast Aceh Regency Library Service employees. The results of the research that the performance of library service employees do not have good quality. Constraints faced are limited facilities and infrastructure, employee competence is still very low, librarian education and training for employees has never been carried out and the availability of budget allocations is very limited. It is recommended that the Southeast Aceh District Library Service conduct professional training for librarians to be given to every library employee. The regional government of Aceh Tenggara Regency should allocate a budget according to need, in order to improve library services, because the budget allocation will accelerate the improvement of employee performance in services.

The Mount Sinabung eruption in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, several years ago resulted in substantial material losses and fatalities. The Karo Regency Government through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) had tried to deal with disaster problems, especially the Mount Sinabung eruption, by involving the Indonesian Army (Kodim 0205/Tanah Karo). The method used in this study was qualitative with a case study approach and sample Army of Indonesia. The results indicated that there was synergy, in the civilian-military relation, in efforts to overcome the Mount Sinabung eruption; especially in terms of evacuation and handling disaster assistance in a better and more systematic way. Therefore, there was a necessity for synergy between the civilians-military as a form to reduce disaster risk, emergency response, and for recovery phase for communities affected by disasters.

This study aims to determine the effect of Work Motivation on the Performance Level of Civil Servants at the Regional Civil Service Agency of North Sumatra Province along with the influencing factors. Motivation theory used based on the opinion of Afandi with indicators of Compensation, Working conditions, Work facilities and Work Performance while Performance theory is based on Hasibuan's opinion with indicators of Quantity, Quality of Responsibility and Punctuality. The research was conducted quantitatively using quantitative analysis methods and simple linear regression with SPSS software version 22. Data Collection Techniques using Observation, Questionnaires and Documentation. The population in this study is the Regional Civil Service Agency of North Sumatra Province, which amounts to 120 people. While the sampling technique uses a saturated sampling method. The data sources in this study were sourced from primary data and secondary data. The results of the study concluded that work motivation partially had a positive and significant effect on the level of employee performance at the Regional Civil Service Agency of North Sumatra Province. The results of the t test obtained a significance value for the work motivation variable 0.000<0.05 or tcalculate = 7.942 > table 1.65787. Based on the results obtained, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted for the variable of work motivation. Thus, partially that the variable of work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the level of employee performance at the Regional Civil Service Agency of North Sumatra Province.

Penyalahgunaan narkotika, alkohol, psikotropika, dan bahan adiktif (napza) semakin meluas di kalangan remaja. Data Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) tahun 2021 mencatat 12.890 kasus penyalahgunaan napza, dengan kasus terbanyak terjadi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara sebanyak 2.049 kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab keterlibatan remaja dalam penyalahgunaan napza dengan fokus pada aspek konstruksi sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor penyebab penyalahgunaan napza di kalangan remaja. Faktor utama adalah konstruksi sosial pada lingkungan keluarga, di mana pola asuh yang lemah terkait pencegahan penggunaan napza dalam keluarga menjadi faktor yang signifikan. Selain itu, faktor-faktor pendukung lainnya meliputi lingkungan pemukiman dan teman sebaya serta lingkungan institusi atau organisasi. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya peran keluarga dalam pencegahan penyalahgunaan napza. Pola asuh yang baik dan pendekatan pencegahan yang efektif dalam lingkungan keluarga dapat mengurangi risiko remaja terlibat dalam penyalahgunaan napza. Selain itu, penting juga untuk memperhatikan lingkungan pemukiman dan teman sebaya sebagai faktor pendukung yang dapat mempengaruhi remaja dalam penggunaan napza.

Public speaking merupakan kecakapan yang seharusnya di miliki di era digital ini. Selain digunakan sebagai tehnik berbicara di depan umum, public speaking juga menjadi indikator atau persyaratan calon pekerja di banyak perusahaan. Hasil analisis situasi menunjukkan bahwa anggota karang taruna desa Karang Rejo kecamatan Stabat kabupaten Langkat memiliki kendala dalam keterampilan public speaking; kemampuan public speaking yang minim, rendahnya kinginan dan kesadaran untuk mengasah keterampilan public speaking, dan tebatasnya akses serta materi untuk mempelajari public speaking. Menanggapi masalah tersebut, kegiatan berupa sosialisasi dan pendampingan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking diterapkan pada anggota karang taruna desa Karang Rejo. Kegiatan ini telah selesai dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7 Agustus 2021 di Balai Desa Karang Rejo kecamatan Stabat kabupaten Langkat. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini, metode ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab diterapkan. Hasilnya disimpulkan bahwa anggota karang taruna desa Karang Rejo sangat antusias dan tertarik untuk mengembangkan kemampuan public speaking. Mereka juga setuju bahwa kemampuan public speaking merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting di era ini. Kata Kunci: Public Speaking, Karang Taruna, Pemuda

Public speaking is a skill that should be possessed in this digital era. In addition to being used as a public speaking technique, public speaking is also an indicator or requirement for prospective workers in many companies. The results of the situation analysis showed that members of the Karang Rejo village cadets, Stabat district, Langkat regency, had problems in public speaking skills; Minimal public speaking skills, low level of awareness to hone public speaking skills, and limited access and materials to learn public speaking. Responding to this problem, activities in the form of socialization and assistance in improving public speaking skills were applied to members of the Karang Rejo village cadets. This activity has been completed on August 7, 2021 at the Karang Rejo Village Hall, Stabat district, Langkat regency. In the implementation of this activity, the method of lectures, discussions and questions and answers is applied. The results concluded that the members of the Karang Rejo village cadets were very enthusiastic and interested in developing public speaking skills. They also agree that public speaking skills are a very important skill in this era.
