Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze and describe the effect of using audiovisual media on students? writing skills in the descriptive text at class VII of SMPN 7 Sungai Raya. The research method implemented in this study was an experiment in the form of a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The data was gathered using a pretest and posttest. The population in this study was the class VII students of SMPN 7 Sungai Raya. The samples were students in class VII B as an experiment group and VII C as the control group, which was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The findings showed that the average score of the control class and experiment class was 65.17 and 82.00. In the t-test, tcount was -7.293, and the ttable with   was -2.048 and Sig (0.000)(0.05). The tcount value was located far from the ttable and thus being out of the H0 rejection area. Hence, the selected learning media is more effective in improving the students? writing skills in descriptive text than using a conventional method.  Keywords: Audio-Visual Media, Descriptive Text, Writing Skill.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is Indonesia language learning in 2013 Curriculum is text-based learning. Learning to write reviews is text-based learning carried out by Indonesian language subject teachers in class X of SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak. In this learning there are still obstacles such as the difficulty of students in expressing their own ideas. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The form of research used is qualitative. The aim is to find out whether the teacher has applied learning to write reviews based on the 2013 curriculum in terms of planning, implementation, and evaluation in the teaching-learning process. Data collection is done through observation, and documentation. The results of the data analysis show that the lesson plan (RPP) formulated by the teacher in the first, second, and third meeting in learning to write a review reflects the 2013 curriculum-based learning although there are still shortcomings in formulating indicators. The implementation of learning at the first, second, and third meeting consisted of preliminary, core and concluding activities carried out in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The evaluation of learning done by the teacher is good by using instruments to assess attitudes, knowledge, and abilities.Keywords: Learning, Writing Reviews, 2013 Curriculum

Abstract

AbstractThe Rara dialect Dayak language hereinafter abbreviated (BDBDR) is one of the regional languages in Bengkayang Regency. Speakers of this language are spread around Seluas Dusun Piju, Bengkayang Regency. This research was motivated by: (1) BDBDR language is used in formal and non-formal situations, namely as a means of communication between speakers of the Dayak Bakati Rara dialect community, (2) BDBDR is a verbal variety that is very easy to change due to the influence of other languages. (3) the writer wants to describe BDBDR to other speakers. The general problem that will be discussed in this study is how the affixation of the Rara dialect of Dayak Bakati is limited to three sub-problems, namely: form, function and meaning. The purpose of this study is to describe the form, function and meaning of the Dayak Bakati Rara dialect. This research uses a descriptive method. This form of research is qualitative. The data source in this study is BDBDR spoken by the Dayak Bakati Rara dialect in the Piju hamlet of Seluas sub-district. The data in this study are affixes of the Rara dialect of Dayak Bakati which are contained in words spoken by the Dayak Bakati community in the Piju hamlet of Seluas sub-district. The techniques used in the research are: skillful looking techniques, image show techniques, interview techniques and documentary studies. The tools used in this study are the researchers themselves, recording devices, pictures, folklore, song lyrics of the Dayak Bakati language in the Rara dialect.Keywords: Dayak Bakati language, affix, Rara Dialect

Abstract

Abstract This study provides an effort to create an effective and efficient teaching and learning process using the PAIKEM model (Active, Interactive, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning) in learning poetry writing skills in class X MIA Sompak 1 High School. The problem in this research is how the process and results of learning to write poetry use the PAIKEM approach. Based on data analysis, this study produces a conclusion in the first cycle the results of the ability of students to write poetry using the PAIKEM model in class X MIA obtained an average score of 59,400% while in the second cycle the ability of students to write poetry using the PIKEM model in class X MIA obtained an average score of 69,750% , the increase that occurred from the learning process of writing poetry using the PAIKEM II cycle model was 76.66%. The results of this study are expected to be useful for students, teachers, students, and especially implementation in schools by increasing the integrity of Indonesian Language teacher workforce in Sompak 1 Public High School in delivering material to achieve the 2013 Curriculum learning objectives. Keywords: improvement, writing poetry, PAIKEM model

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative script. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 2 (dua) siklus. Hasil dan pembahsan menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative script dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Hasil tindakan siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 64,4 dan dilaksanakan tindakan siklus II meningkat menjadi 79,4. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative script telah berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara pada siswa SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak.   Kata kunci : Keterampilan Berbicara, Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Script Abstract: This study aims to determine students’ speaking skills enhancement classes VIII B SMPN 13 Pontianak using cooperative script. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The study was conducted two (2) cycles. Results and discussion shows that the method of cooperative script can improve students’ speaking skills classes VIII B SMPN 13 Pontianak. The first cycle measures the average value of students 64,4 and held the second cycle students average score increased to 79,4. It can be concluded that a class action research using cooperative script method has succeeded in improving speaking skills in Class VIII B SMPN 13 Pontianak.  Keywords : Speaking Skills, Cooperative Script model of learning

Abstract

AbstrakThe background of this research is because of the ability of Year-9 Students of SMPIT Al-Mumtaz Pontianak in Speaking Skill especially for Speech is Low. Researcher is focused on this research problem to process and the result of learning using Approach of Comunicative and Assessment Method. The kind of reseach is Class Action Research (CAR) that was implied in two cycles. The method and the form in this research using qualitative description. Data source of this research is Indonesia’s language teacher and the population is 34 students. Data in this research is the process and the result Speech assessment. The technique is implemented in this research adalah Non-test technique through observation and documentation. The result of this research indicates that before using Approach of Comunicative and Assessment Method ,the average of students score is 65. The sudents score of speech in the first cycle using Approach of Comunicative and Assessment Method was increasing with the average score 68,3. Meanwhile, the average score in the second cycle is 80,5. Based on the result of student speech from the first cycle to the second cycle has increased.Keyword : Speech, Communicative Approach, Assesment Method

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is to know the emotion of the characters in the novel Wo Ai Ni Allah by Vanny Chrisma W. The theory used in this research is related to novel, behavioristic psychology, and emotions. This research uses descriptive method, qualitative study, and behavioristic psychological approach. Based on the data analysis, this research produces a conclusion as follows. (1) Positive emotion of the novel Wo Ai NI Allah by Vanny Chrisma W., the main and additional characters have the emotions of love and joy, (2) negative emotions of the novel Wo Ai Ni Allah by Vanny Chrisma W., the main and additional characters have emotions fear, anxiety, anger, and sadness. The main and additional figures are more dominant in having negative emotions than positive. However, the negative emotion has a major effect on behavior change and the mindset of the main character will be better. Keywords: emotions, characters, novel.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran inkuiri dalam pembelajaran cerpen yang dilaksanakan oleh guru bahasa Indonesia kelas VII SMPN 3 Sungai Raya tahun pembelajaran 2014/2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian ini ialah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, studi dokumenter, wawancara, tes, dan kuesioner. Adapun alat pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar pedoman observasi, alat perekam, lembar pedoman wawancara, lembar tes, lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa, dan lembar kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran inkuiri dalam pembelajaran cerpen pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Raya sudah sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Hasil yang dicapai siswa dalam pembelajaran inkuiri pada pembelajaran cerpen juga memuaskan.   Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Inkuiri, Cerpen, Deskriptif. Abstract: The purpose of the research is to describe theapplication of inquiry model in teaching short stories which is  conducted by the teacher of Bahasa Indonesia in the class VII of SMPN 3 Sungai Raya in the academic year 2014/2015. The method used in this research is  descriptive method. The research used qualitative form. The data collective techniques are observation,documentation,interview,test,and questionnaire. The tools used to collect the data are observation guide,recording tools,interview guidance page,test, observation page and questionnaire. Based on result of data analysis, the researcher concluded that applying inquiry model in the planning and the learning process of  teaching short stories to the class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Sungai Raya is relevant to the curriculum 2013. The students? study results are also satisfying. Key Words: Inquiry Learning,Short Stories, Descriptive.

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini kerena penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan pihak Kelurahan Saigon. Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan pihak Kelurahan Saigon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan pihak Kelurahan Saigon. Baik pada pemilihan kata, keefektifan kalimat, dan penggunaan ejaan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian bersifat kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah studi dokumenter. Alat pengumpul data adalah peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa pada Surat Keterangan yang dikeluarkan oleh Kantor Kelurahan Saigon Kecamatan Pontianak Timur Kota Pontianak dalam kurun waktu empat bulan mulai dari Januari hingga April 2015 terdapat 11 kesalahan pemilihan kata atau diksi, 38 kesalahan dalam keefektifan kalimat, dan 90 kesalahan penggunaan ejaan.   Kata Kunci: Penggunaan, Bahasa Indonesia, Surat Keterangan. Abstract: Motivation of this research becaused the use of Indonesian Language well and trully in information letter that issued by Saigon village office. The problem that discussed in this research is an use of Indonesian language in information letter which issued by Saigon village office. The purpose of this research is to describe use of Indonesian language in information letter which issued by Saigon village office. Either on the word election or diction, effectiveness of sentence, use of spelling. This research method is descriptive method while the form is qualitative. The data is collected using documentary study technique. The collector instrument  of data is the researcher as the key instrument. Based on the data analysis that found on information letter that issued by Saigon village office Pontianak Timur district Pontianak city during 4 months starting from January to April 2015 there are 11 mistakes of word election or diction, 38 mistakes of effectiveness of sentence, and 90 mistakes of use of spelling. Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the desire to understand the style of language and the meaning of the style of language in the translation of the chapter of Albaqarah. The general problem studied is the style of language in the surah. The subproblem is how language styles and stylistic meanings are in Albaqarah surah. This research uses a descriptive method with qualitative form. Data collection techniques used documentary study techniques. The data collection tool is the researcher himself as the main instrument or instrument. The data source is Albaqarah surah in Qur'an Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia in 2010 and this research data in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and verses in the form of language style. Based on data analysis, this study yields a conclusion that comparative language style contained in chapters Albaqarah amounted to 17 pieces, language of contradictions to 26 pieces, language style of the links 4, and language style of the iteration is not contained in the Albaqarah surah.  Keywords:            Albaqarah, Language, Qur’an,Style of Language
