Abstract

Human resource is the most valuable resource and has an increasingly important position in achieving the objectives of the organization. Human is the core driving force of all activities and is also a major part in the processing of the input into the output. This research was conducted in the territory of the city of Pontianak. Independent variables (X) in this study consist of 3 individual characteristics, job characteristics, and environmental characteristics, while dependent variable (Y) is motivation. The data in this study were obtainet from the results of the questionnaire to 34 respondents who also as samples in this research. The data later processed using multiple Linear Regression analysis. The result showed that only one individual characteristics, job charakteristics and environmental characteristics had a significant influence on employee motivation at Civil Service Police Unit Pontianak.

Abstract

This paper pays attention to the Uyghur conflict which became international news. A variety of reports about the Uygur appear with religious-based heroic narratives that corroborate discrimination, persecution, and all the miscience of the Chinese government against the Uyghur ethnic minority. As such, it aims to understand the difference in perspectives of the preaching of some Western mass media compared to the Chinese mass media in informing Uyghur related news. Compared to other ethnicity issues, the authors believed in certain interests behind the preaching of various online mass media to what was actually happening in Xinjiang. The author uses the framework of the framing theory of Pan Konciski and the constructivicist paradigm to interpret the news of the Uygur conflict.  The results of the study show Western media are more likely to have tendencies using words or sentences that drain the reader's emotions while Chinese media are more likely to be neutral in framing the news. It is a record for the authors that the public perception regarding the internationalization of issues occurring in a country can be influenced by how the media package news content.

Abstract

Pengolahan data dapat dilakukan dengan perhitungan manual ataupun menggunakan alat bantu aplikasi software pengolah data. Salah satu software untuk mengolah data statistik yang dapat digunakan adalah software Minitab. Pengenalan software Minitab kepada kalangan guru dilaksanakan dengan dua tahap, yaitu tahap pelatihan dan tahap pendampingan. Tahap pertama bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan software minitab 17 sebagai alat bantu pengolahan data dan diharapkan agar para guru yang menjadi khalayak dapat memperluas pengetahuan dan meningkatkan motivasi untuk melakukan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan data. Tahap kedua bertujuan untuk membantu para guru agar lebih mampu menganalisis data hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan menambah motivasi mereka untuk membuat publikasi hasil penelitiannya.  Berdasarkan pengamatan selama pelaksanaan tahap pertama berkaitan dengan bagaimana merumuskan hipotesis, mengolah data dengan aplikasi Minitab, dan menganalisis luarannya menunjukkan bahwa peserta sudah dapat mengenal dan menggunakan software Minitab.  Meskipun demikian, masih perlu diberikan pelatihan lanjutan agar peserta dapat lebih memahami penggunaan Minitab dan menginterpretasikan luarannya.. Berdasarkan hasil pemberian kuesioner, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian pengenalan software Minitab 17 telah memberikan manfaat kepada peserta dan berdampak terhadap penambahan wawasan dan motivasi peserta untuk melakukan penelitian.

Abstract

Local knowledge of the Akit tribe community in utilizing nature has a trade-off between the nature of fulfilling the needs of life and the conditions of natural sustainability, the Akit Tribe of Berancah village utilizes mangrove forest as their livelihood as a supplier of Mangrove wood to Panglong Charcoal. Using qualitative-descriptive methods, this research involved 6 informants namely the Akit Tribe community and 4 key informants including Batin. Through interviews with research subjects in Berancah village, Bengkalis Regency, it shows that the local knowledge of the Akit Tribe community based on the value orientation concept has its own definitions according to local aspects. It has a relationship in the pattern of acting in the face of nature, therefore it is necessary to focus on local knowledge, especially in intrinsic values regarding to the work that is very closely related to the existence of mangrove forests, for their using of mangrove wood wisely brings the preservation of forests in coastal areas to be well maintained. Abstract

Overcoming poverty problem constitutes a part of da’wah bil hal. Moreover, it is a main problem experienced by Moslems in Indonesia. To overcome the problem, the governor of Nusa Tenggara Barat TGB. Muhammad Zainul Majdi pionered Halal Tourist Village through his Governor rule no. 51/2016. The term of Halal Tourist Village constituted a Governor’s attempt in packaging tourism, so that foreign tourists would like to come. Through the rule, Ida Wahyuni Sahabudin, a community development activist, took an innitiative to promote Setanggor Village as one of destinations of Halal Tourist Village. He improved various local assets into attractive tourist spots. This study described the roles of community assets in developing community of Halal Tourist Village of Setanggor. This study used library research method and a concept approach of community assets. The result of this study indicated that that those various assets came with different roles and all of them were integrated in the tourism of Setanggor Village to overcome the poverty problem there.

Abstract

Due to recent technological advances, marketing strategies have shifted from conventional to online. Traditional businesses use this digital marketing strategy because it is considered no more effective than other forms of marketing, such as using brochures and catalogs. Kopi Tuku as a business that mushroomed first during the Covid-19 pandemic, used digital marketing strategies to introduce digital products, one of which was social media. This is because social media is a platform that allows people to communicate information in the form of text, photos, videos, and audio with each other and with businesses, or vice versa. This study aims to find out how Kopi Tuku's digital marketing strategy during the Covid-19 pandemic uses content analysis. The method used is Krippendorff's content analysis via Instagram @tokokopituku for the period January 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. The conclusion of this study is that Kopi Tuku's marketing strategy is more of an advertising strategy that highlights related information about Kopi Tuku.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari perlunya dilakukan perbaikan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD). Model kooperatif tipe STAD menjadikan siswa sebagai pusat pembelajaran (student centered). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar PKn di kelas V SD Negeri 23 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD merupakan model pembelajaran yang menempatkan siswa dalam kelompok belajar yang beranggotakan 5 atau 6 orang siswa. Model pembelajaran ini dilakukan melalui tujuh tahap, dimulai dari penyajian materi oleh guru, kegiatan belajar kelompok, pemeriksaan terhadap hasil kerja kelompok, mengerjakan tes secara individu, pemeriksaan hasil tes, dan penghargaan kelompok. Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa di kelas V SD Negeri 23 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Saran yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini agar guru dapat memperhatikan setiap langkah yang dilakukan.
