Abstract

Personal financial management practices are generally used by people for a process of dealing with their financial needs. Usually the practice of personal financial management is assessed through an attitude, character, and financial behavior of a person which includes the level of personal debt, assistance in the stock market, the ability to be effective in handling or increasing wealth, and the ability to calculate assets at a relatively low cost. This research has a specific objective, namely to study the factors that influence the Personal Financial Management Practices of Generation Y in Medan City and produce a Personal Financial Management Practice Model Based on Financial Literacy, Future Orientation and Spiritual Intelligence in Generation Y in Medan City. This research is a basic research (basic research). The population in this study were all students in some of the best private universities in North Sumatra. To determine the sample size, the use of Maximum Likelihood estimation in the Structural Equation Model (SEM) is 100-200 samples, so the researcher will take a sample of 100-200 respondents in order to fulfill one of the requirements of the data analysis method using SEM. Thus the sample of this study was taken as many as 150 students as research samples. The data analysis technique used in this research is by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of PLS. The results of the study indicate that future orientation has a negative and insignificant effect on personal financial management practices in Generation Y in Medan City. Financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on personal financial management practices in Generation Y in Medan City. Spiritual intelligence which moderates future orientation and financial literacy on personal financial management practices has a positive effect on future orientation, but has a negative effect on financial literacy and the two variables moderated by spiritual intelligence are not significant on personal financial management practices in Generation Y in Medan City .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic Financial Technology (Fintech) using a SWOT analysis approach in North Sumatra. This type of research uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in research using interviews. This research was conducted in several Islamic Banks in North Sumatra, such as Bank Syariah Indonesia, BCA Syariah, Bank Mega Syariah, Bank Niaga Syariah and Bank Muamalat Indonesia. Data analysis technique with SWOT analysis. The results show that the opportunity for Islamic financial technology for Islamic banking is how financial technology as a newcomer can synergize with financial institutions, especially Islamic banking. After the researchers conducted the analysis, the conclusion of the financial technology opportunity is the opportunity to create income for Islamic Banking through collaboration with financial technology companies. And can facilitate customers such as transfer of funds, payments, borrowing capital, credit to asset management. Furthermore, the challenge for Islamic banking because of the existence of financial technology is the rise of crime in the world of technology and information.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of Return On Assets, Current Ratio, and Debt To Asset Ratio on Firm Value and how the role of Firm Size as a moderating variable in the effect of Return On Assets, Current Ratio, and Debt To Asset Ratio on Firm Value in Sub-Companies. Large Trading Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2016-2020. This research approach is an associative approach, where the total company population is 51 companies with a sampling technique, namely Purposive Sampling so that a sample of 10 large trading sub-sector companies are obtained which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020, and the financial statements taken are secondary data. , which is obtained from the www.idx.co.id website, and the data that has been collected will be analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis & Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA) accompanied by partial hypothesis testing and coefficient of determination. data processing using IBM SPSS Statistic 21. The results show that Return On Assets has a significant effect on Firm Value, Current Ratio has an insignificant but not significant effect on Firm Value, Debt To Asset Ratio has an insignificant effect on Firm Value, Firm Size does not moderate the effect of Return On Assets to Firm Value, Firm Size does not moderate the effect of Current Ratio on Firm Value, Firm Size does not moderate the effect of Debt To Asset Ratio on Firm Value in large trading sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2016-2020.
