Abstract

Lagocephalus spadiceus is one of the marine fisheries that has not been widely explored and utilized. Agroindustri Jaya Utama is one of the agro-industries in the City of Probolinggo that is able to utilize and develop Lagocephalus spadiceus through the processing process. Pufferfish by the community are known as poisonous fish and are not safe for consumption, so it becomes a challenge for Agroindustri Jaya Utama to market its products. The selection of alternative marketing strategies needs to be done appropriately through an internal and external environment analysis faced by the company. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to find out the alternative marketing strategies for Pufferfish processed products that can be carried out by Jaya Utama Agroindustry in Mayangan District, Probolinggo City. The sampling method used in the study was purposive sampling method. Data retrieval method uses structured interview method and documentation. The data analysis method used is the SWOT analysis. The results of this study are alternative strategies that can be used by Agroindustri Jaya Utama covering 1) improving the ability of the marketing workforce, 2) improving product quality so that products can compete with competing products, 3) opening outlets in strategic locations, 4) establishing partnerships with suppliers , 5) cooperate with potential distributors, 6) carry out promotions on an ongoing basis, 7) create new designs and flavors.

Abstract

The organic farming system aims to produce agricultural healter without chemical residues and reduce soil, water and air pollution. PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia is a private company engaged in organic agriculture that produces organic red rice as a best seller product of the company. His business produces organic red rice, PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia has partnered with organic red rice farmers with a system of employment contracts that applies to only one planting season so that organic red rice farmers need to do a period of work contract expansions. The existence of the employment contract causes the number of partners of organic red rice partners every planting season is not the same. The research objective was to identify partnership patterns between organic rice farmers and partner companies. The research area was determined purposively and the problems were answered using descriptive methods. From the results of the study, it is known that to become a partner farmer, the farmer must fulfill several conditions determined by the partner company. The partnership pattern between farmers of PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia with organic red rice farmers is a sub-contract partnership pattern which is characterized by rice cultivated by partner rice farmers which is the main ingredient by partner companies to produce organic brown rice.

Abstract

The increase in demand and price of fuel has made renewable fuel as an alternative energy including the bio-fuel. Bio-fuel, especially bio-ethanol and bio-diesel, are produced from food stocks. In world market, the process of conversion from corn to ethanol and soybean to bio diesel is becoming prevalent. This process can endanger food safety, primary for those in under-developed and developing countries. For Indonesia, the case is highly relevant as both corn and soybean are imported commodities. The present study aims at: (1) demonstrating the impact analysis of corn and soybean conversion to bio-fuel in the world market upon corn and soybean market in Indonesia, and (2) proposing the formulation policies to increase corn and soybean domestic production in Indonesia. Using time series data of 1983-2006 as well as econometric model of simultaneous equations that was estimated through the 2SLS procedure, the study found that: (1) the conversion of corn and soybean to bio-fuel in the world market have a relatively low impact (less than 5 percent) for increasing/decreasing price, production and demand of corn and soybean inIndonesia, and (2) policy about fertilizer subsidy and import tarif increased production of corn and soybean in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pertanian organik adalah alternatif dari konsep pertanian berkelanjutan. Pertanian organik didefinisikan sebagai sistem produksi tanaman berdasarkan daur ulang nutrisi biologis. Daur ulang tanaman dan nutrisi hewan dalam pertanian organik atau bahan yang biasa digunakan disebut agroinput, salah satunya adalah pupuk organik. Berdasarkan kebutuhan pupuk organik padat (POP), yang besar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan petani, maka PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia (SOI) sejak Tahun 2015 memproduksi pupuk organik padat (POP) secara mandiri. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti ingin mempelajari terkait dengan sistem produksi pupuk organik padat (POP) di PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada divisi produksi pupuk organik padat dari PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari wawancara dan observasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menentukan sistem produksi padat pupuk organik padat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak fasilitas produksi diterapkan berdasarkan aliran produk, proses produksi dilaksanakan sesuai standar operasional, dan jenis proses produksi pupuk organik padat di PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia adalah proses produksi campuran.

Abstract

Puffer fish until now has not been explored optimally because it is known as a toxic commodity and difficult to process. Jaya Utama Agroindustrial is an agro-industry that processes Puffer fish into various preparations, namely fillets, rambak, and Puffer fish bone peanut brittle. L.spadiceus that is used by Agroindustri Jaya Utama has poison in the part of his heart. Based on this, the purpose of this research is to find out the production system from the production process, the type of production, and the layout of production facilities of Agroindustri Jaya Utama. The sample determination method uses purposive sampling. Data collection method uses observation, interview, documentation and literature study techniques. The analytical method is descriptive. The result of this research is the production system from the production process, the type of production, and the layout of production facilities used by agro-industries. The analytical method used is descriptive. The result showed that the production process of Puffer fish fillets focused on the process of weeding, the production process of rambak focused on the separation of the skin and the bone crest of Puffer fish focusing on the drying stage; The type of production applied by agro-industry is the intermittent type; The layout of production facilities used is layout by process.

Abstract

Dried Milled Grain (GKG) is produced grain by drying process with the maximum water content of 14% and ready milled into rice. Increased production of organic red rice PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia 2016 and 2017 wasn’t followed by an increase production of GKG as raw material for rice. In 2016 and 2017 GKG production are 127,382.75kg and 120,639.75kg. The availability of GKG hasn’t been able to meet production of organic red rice which is known that organic red rice production 2016 is 166,114.50kg and 2017 is 204,691.60kg. This study aims to find out the compliance strategies of GKG to satisfy organic red rice production. Determination of research area with purposive method that is PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia, Sumberbaru Village, Singojuruh, Banyuwangi. The research method used analytical method and analyzed using analytical hierarchy process (AHP). The result showed the prioritized compliance strategy of GKG to fulfill the production of organic red rice PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia is cooperate with other organic rice producers (0,262) regarding the availability criteria of GKP (0,591) based on raw material consideration (0,601), and others statregy as supporting. The second strategic priority is to increase the area of cultivated land by increasing number of partner farmers(0.253). The third strategic priority is to collaborate with the rice drying and grinding services(0.235). The fourth strategic priority is the use of dryer machines in grain fulfillment(0.168). The fifth strategic priority, increasing mastery of technology and SOP information(0.081).

Abstract

Singkong merupakan tanaman pangan potensial yang banyak dibutuhkan sebagai bahan baku industri. Kabupaten trenggalek merupakan kabupaten yang memiliki potensi singkong tertinggi kedua di Jawa Timur, yang juga memiliki unit pengolahan langsung didaerahnya yang telah lama dilakukan hingga kini. Industri tapioka yang ada di Kabupaten Trenggalek terus berkembang dari skala rumah tangga, hingga indutri besar yang dilakukan oleh banyak masyarakat disana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat keberlanjutan agroindustri tapioka untuk melihat posisi keberlanjutannya. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode deskriptif dan analitik dengan menggunakan analisis keberlanjutan agroindustri tapioka (Rap-Tapioca). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keberlanjutan agroindustri tapioka di Kebupaten Trenggalek berstatus cukup berkelanjutan pada dimensi ekonomi dan sosial. Keberlanjutan agroindustri tapioka di Kabupaten Trenggalek dapat dilakukan dengan syarat adanya perbaikan pada dimensi ekologi dan teknologi.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency is a district that implements organic farming, there are two institutions engaged in organic agriculture that have been certified by LeSOS in Banyuwangi Regency, namely PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia and Sumber Urip Farmers Group. Farmer's reason for joining PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia is one of them to increase income. This study aims to determine the difference in income between farmer partners and non-partners of PT. Sirtanio Organik Indonesia. Sampling method to determine the income of partner and non-partner farmers PT. Sirtanio Organic Indonesia is using total sampling. Data collection methods used in this study use interviews, observation and literature studies. The analytical method used is analytic. The results showed that there were significant differences between the income of partner and non-partner farmers. The average cost incurred by partner farmers is Rp. 9,790,724 / Ha while the costs incurred by non-partner farmers amounted to Rp. 12,904,945 / Ha. The average partner farmer acceptance is Rp. 28,160,273 / Ha, the average income of non-partner farmers is Rp. 27,761,520 / Ha. Partner farmer income of Rp. 18,369,549 / Ha, while the income of non-partner farmers is Rp. 14,856,575 / Ha.
