Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu bahasa yang juga dapat digunakan dalam berkomunikasi selain bahasanya sendiri. Komunikasi merupakan kemampuan untuk menggunakan bahasa matematika untuk mengekspresikan gagasan matematis dan argumen dengan tepat, singkat dan logis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran quantum teaching terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rata-rata, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji beda. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran quantum teaching menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung, (2) model pembelajaran quantum teaching berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis maupun hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan model pembelajaran langsung di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin tahun pelajaran 2013-2014, dan (3) model pembelajaran quantum teaching berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis untuk setiap aspek yang diteliti dibandingkan model pembelajaran langsung di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin tahun pelajaran 2013-2014. Kata kunci: pengaruh, model pembelajaran quantum teaching, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, hasil belajar siswa

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the errors experienced by students learning with REACT strategy and traditional learning in solving problems of mathematical representation ability. This study used quasi experimental pattern with static-group comparison design. The subjects of this study were 47 eighth grade students of junior high school in Bandung consisting of two samples. The instrument used was a test to measure students' mathematical representation ability. The reliability coefficient about the mathematical representation ability was 0.56. The most prominent errors of mathematical representation ability of students learning with REACT strategy and traditional learning, was on indicator that solving problem involving arithmetic symbols (symbolic representation). In addition, errors were also experienced by many students with traditional learning on the indicator of making the image of a real world situation to clarify the problem and facilitate its completion (visual representation).DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jme.9.1.4301.121-128

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe how to implement the REACT strategy to develop students’ mathematical representation, reasoning, and disposition ability. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was grade 8 junior high school student in Bandung. Data collection techniques in this study with observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on data analysis results, it could be concluded that REACT strategies can be applied to develop a mathematical representation, reasoning, and disposition ability that engages students actively. Implementation of the REACT strategy runs smoothly and gets enthusiastic responses from students. The application of REACT strategies should be undertaken sustainably so that the learning objectives can be achieved by integrating various mathematical skills that were capable.

Abstract

Abstract

The policy of studying at home requires students to organize their learning. The ability of students to manage their own learning is also known as self-regulation learning (SRL) ability. Interactive multimedia in learning is expected to help students manage their learning independently. This study aims to describe student’s SRL ability and learning outcomes in mathematics learning with the help of interactive multimedia. It is also to analyze the relationship between SRL and student learning outcomes after learning mathematics with the help of interactive multimedia. This research is descriptive that involved 274 of 7th grader students. Data were collected using tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results showed that the students' average SRL in the medium category and student learning outcomes were enough. Student self-regulation learning has a positive effect on learning outcomes. Thus, interactive multimedia makes students more independent in learning to increase their self-regulation learning abilities and ultimately improve their learning outcomes. Therefore, to foster students' SRL skills, teachers can use interactive multimedia as an alternative media in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah melakukan pelatihan kepada guru-guru terkait pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis game menggunkan   Kahoot!. Aplikasi Kahoot! dapat digunakan sebagai media evaluasi yang dapat membantu guru dalam proses evaluasi karena selain memanfaatkan teknologi, hal ini disukai siswa lebih efisien dibandingkan harus menulis lembaran jawaban dalam kertas evaluasi. Metode pelaksanaan program ini terdiri dari sejumlah tahapan yaitu (1) melakukan pendataan peserta yang akan mengikuti pelatihan, (2) menyiapkan modul dan peralatan pelatihan, (3) melakukan pelatihan Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis game dengan Kahoot! bagi guru-guru di Amuntai, (4) membuat laporan kegiatan, (5) melakukan publikasi kegiatan. Pendataan peserta akan dilaksanakan selama 2 minggu dengan cara penyebaran undangan ke instansi mitra, yaitu Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Al Ukhuwah, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Integral Al Ukhuwah Amuntai, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Hulu Sungai Utara dan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Hulu Sungai Utara. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta pelatihan berupaya aktif memahami konsep dan implementasi penggunaan aplikasi Kahoot! dalam pembelajaran yang menyenangkan berupa kuis sesuai mata pelajaran yang diampu. Hasil análisis menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis game dengan Kahoot!.Abstract: The purpose of this community service activity was to conduct training for teachers related to the use of game-based learning media using Kahoot!. Kahoot! app could be used as an evaluation medium that can help teachers in the evaluation process because in addition to utilizing technology, this is preferred by students more efficiently than having to write answer sheets on evaluation papers. The method of implementing this program consists of a number of stages, namely (1) collecting data on participants who will take part in the training, (2) preparing training modules and equipment, (3) conducting training in the use of game-based learning media with Kahoot! for teachers in Amuntai, (4) make activity reports, (5) publish activities. Participant data collection would be carried out for 2 weeks by distributing invitations to partner agencies, namely Al Ukhuwah Private Madrasah, Al Ukhuwah Integral Madrasah Al Ukhuwah Amuntai, State Aliyah Madrasah 1 Hulu Sungai Utara and Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Hulu Sungai Utara. Based on the evaluation results, it could be concluded that the trainees are actively trying to understand the concept and implementation of using the Kahoot! in fun learning in the form of quizzes according to the subjects taught. The results of the analysis showed that the teachers gave a positive response to the training activities on the use of game-based learning media with Kahoot!.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah memberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan iSpring dalam mengoptimalisasikan pembelajaran untuk guru SD Tanah Bumbu. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan iSpring dalam mengoptimalisasikan pembelajaran, yaitu (1) memberikan penjelasan tentang aplikasi iSpring secara mendasar, (2) mengenalkan pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan iSpring, dan (3) diskusi dan tanya jawab antara narasumber dan peserta pelatihan. Metode penjaringan peserta dilakukan dengan bekerjasama dengan Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) SD Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 29 guru dari beberapa sekolah. Berdasarkan simpulan survei dengan Google Form yang dilakukan oleh tim PkM, diperoleh bahwa guru-guru SD di Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu sebagai peserta memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan iSpring. Kegiatan pelatihan ini hendaknya dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dalam implementasi penggunaan aplikasi iSpring yang dilakukan guru-guru tidak terbatas hanya di tingkat SD tetapi juga di tangkat SMP, dan SMA.Abstract:  The aim of this community service was to provide training in making interactive learning media using iSpring in optimizing learning for Tanah Bumbu Elementary School teachers. The methods used in the training activities for making interactive learning media using iSpring in optimizing learning, namely (1) providing an explanation of the basic iSpring application, (2) introducing the development of learning media using iSpring, and (3) discussing and asking questions. The method of selecting participants was carried out in collaboration with the Teacher Working Group of Elementary School in Tanah Bumbu Regency. The training participants were 29 teachers from several schools. Based on the conclusion of a survey using Google Forms conducted by the community service team, it was found that elementary school teachers in Tanah Bumbu Regency as participants gave a positive response to training activities for making interactive learning media using iSpring. This training activity should be carried out continuously in the implementation of the use of the iSpring application by teachers not only at the elementary level but also at the junior high, and high school.

Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan sangat bergantung pada kualitas pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru di kelas. Optimalisasi proses pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan penggunaan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu sangat penting melatihkan penggunaan google classroom kepada para guru. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penggunaan google classroom untuk mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran di SMK ISFI Banjarmasin, dan menghasilkan modul google classroom. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para guru SMK ISFI Banjarmasin. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini, antara lain memberikan pelatihan pengetahuan mendasar mengenai penggunaan google classroom, memberikan gambaran pengalaman bagaimana penggunaan google classroom secara sistematis dalam pembelajaran, serta menghasilkan modul google classroom. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan modul google classroom yang digunakan oleh para guru dalam pelatihan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berkontribusi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru dalam penggunaan google classroom sebagai media pembelajaran. Penggunaan google classroom diharapkan dapat membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan, sehingga berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, serta meningkatkan kualitas kinerja guru. The quality of education is very dependent on the quality of learning carried out by teachers in the classroom. The optimization of the learning process can be done by integrating the use of technology as a learning medium. Therefore it is very important to train the use of google classroom to teachers. Community service aims to provide training in using google classroom to optimize the learning process at SMK ISFI Banjarmasin and produce a google classroom module. The target of this activity is Banjarmasin ISFI Vocational School, teachers. The methods used in this activity include providing training in basic knowledge about using google classroom, providing an overview of experiences on how to use google classroom systematically in learning, and producing a google classroom module. This activity produces a google classroom module that is used by teachers in training. In addition, this activity contributes to increasing teacher knowledge and ability in using Google classroom as a learning medium. The use of google classroom is expected to make the learning process enjoyable so that it has a positive impact on student learning outcomes while improving the quality of teacher performance.
