Abstract

This research aims to develop the scientific skill in making argumentation by guided inquiry model in two aspects: (1) to describe the argumentation skill in physics learning, (2) to describe the implimentation of physics learning by guided inquiry model. This research design is one group pretest posttest design. The subject research is the eleventh grade students of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in 21 students and Phyisics teachers of eleventh grade.  The data collection is argumentation test and observation sheet. The analysis technique is gain score, percetage, and reliability. The research result states that the guided inquiry model is effective to increase the argumentation skill in Physics learning.

Abstract

Materi ajar yang berorientasi lingkungan lahan basah belum tersedia di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan materi ajar IPA menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif berorientasi lingkungan lahan basah. Tujuan khusus penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan: (1) validitas materi ajar,         (2) kepraktisan materi ajar, dan (3) efektivitas materi ajar. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek ujicoba adalah siswa kelas VIII-B SMP Negeri 27 Banjarmasin. Data diperoleh melalui lembar validasi, lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan RPP, tes hasil belajar dan lembar kerja siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) validitas materi ajar berkategori valid, (2) kepraktisan materi ajar berkategori baik, dan (3) efektivitas materi ajar berdasarkan hasil belajar produk berkategori sedang dan berdasarkan hasil belajar proses berkategori baik. Simpulan penelitian adalah materi ajar IPA menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif berorientasi lingkungan lahan basah layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Teaching material that wetland environment oriented is not yet available in schools. Therefore, conducted a research with the aim of describing the feasibility of science teaching material using the cooperative learning model that wetland environment oriented. The specific purpose of research to describe: (1) the validity of teaching material, (2) the practicality of teaching material, and (3) the effectiveness of teaching material. Type of research is research and development by using ADDIE development model. The samples of the subject were students in VIII-B SMP Negeri 27 Banjarmasin. The data obtained through validation sheet, observation sheet of lesson plan implementation, test of learning result and student worksheet. The data were analyzed descriptively quantitative and qualitative. The result of the research shows: (1) validity of teaching material is valid category, (2) practicality of teaching material is good category, and  (3) effectiveness of teaching material based on product learning result is medium category and based on process learning result is good category. The conclusion of this research is the Science teaching material using the cooperative learning model that wetland environment oriented is feasible to use in learning activity.

Abstract

The students’s low ability in applying physics formula at class VII-B SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin will obstruct student in learning physics and give negative effect on learning outcome especially for material that includes formula. Therefore, this study was conducted to improve the students’s ability in applying physics formula by using problem solving method in direct instruction model at class VII-B SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin. This study utilized Hopkin’s model of classroom action research which consisted of 2 cycles, each cycle included plan, action/ observation, and reflection. The data were obtained from observation and test. The data were analyzed in descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The findings from first cycles to second cycles of this research were as follows: (1) The fidelity of lesson plans as a whole increased from 76,86% to 94,47%, (2) the student’s skill procedure classicaly increased from 86,37% to 100%, (3) the students’s ability in applying physics formula increased from 59,09% to 95,94%, (4) the student’s learning outcome classicaly increased from 59,09% to 95,94%. So, it can be concluded that problem solving method in direct instruction model can improve the students’s ability in applying physics formula in class VIIB SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah selama ini belum mampu melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pengembangan bahan ajar menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing yang memiliki tujuan khusus untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) validitas bahan ajar, (2) kepraktisan bahan ajar ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP, (3) efektivitas bahan ajar ditinjau dari hasil belajar, dan (4) pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kreatif ditinjau dari tes hasil belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berupa RPP, LKS, THB dan Materi ajar. Teknik analisis data berupa validasi bahan ajar, pengamatan keterlaksanaan RPP dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) bahan ajar dinyatakan valid dengan kategori sangat baik (2) kepraktisan bahan ajar terlaksana sangat baik, (3) efektivitas bahan ajar termasuk pada kategori efektif/sedang, dan (4) pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa termasuk dalam kategori kreatif. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa bahan ajar berorientasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Learning device for teaching materials electrical power and energy in IXE classes SMP 24 Banjarmasin need to be developed using a model of problem-based learning (PBL) to practice the skills of thinking and solving authentic problems that students’ learning completeness based on MCC can be achieved. This research aims to descripting the wothiness of electrical power and energy teaching devices that developed oriented on Problem Based Learning model noticed by devices validity, LP carried out, authentic problem solving skills, learning completeness, and student’s respons. This research included as developmental research refer to development research model according to Dick and Carrey. Research subjects are researcher and 34 students of class IXE SMPN 24 Banjarmasin. Research Instrument that used is validation sheet, LP carries out observation sheet, authentic problem solving skills obsetvation sheet, result study test, and student’s respons questionnair. Data analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive. The Reasearch result indicate that the categories of devices validity is valid, LP carries out is good, authentic problem solving is very good, students’ learning completeness are complete, and student’s responds is good, with the result get concluded that the suitable of learning devices for electrical power adn energy oriented to problem based learning model that developed and tested at SMPN 24 Banjarmasin categoried suitable to use.

Abstract

Factors that influence learning outcomes is interest in learning and motivation to learn. Low interest and motivation of students tend to produce a low learning outcomes. This research aims to : (1) to analyze whether there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning  with the learning outcomes, (2) to analyze whether there is a positive and significant relationship motivation to learn  with the learning outcomes, (3) to analyze whether there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning  with the motivation to learn, (4) to analyze whether there is a positive and significant relationship between interest and motivation to learn simultaneously with the learning outcomes. The study population was all students of class X SMAN 10 Banjarmasin and the sample amounted to 80 students drawn by random sampling technique. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and achievement test. This type of research is the correlation and the method of analysis used is the correlation-regression.The results rX1Y = 0,339, rX2Y = 0,399, r X1X2 = 0,513 dan rX1X2Y = 0,428.The result found (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning with the learning outcomes, (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between motivation to learn with the learning outcomes, (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning with the motivation to learn, and (4) there is a positive and significant relationship between interest and motivation to learn simultaneously with the learning outcomes in class X SMAN 10 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

During this time of learning in school are still conventional, so it causes the students’ sciences process kills. To that end made efforts to improve sciences process skills using the experiment methods that has a specific purpose describe; (1) the feasibility RPP through the experiment methods  (2) the students sciences process skills through the experiment methods and (3) student learning outcomes after the implementation the experiment methods. This type of research is a classroom action research using the Kemmis & Taggart model design. Data collection techniques such as observation, assessment, tests and documentation. Descriptive data analysis techniques such as qualitative and quantitative. results showed: (1) feasibility RPP reached done very well, (2) increased The students’ sciences process skills with good category, (3) improved student learning outcomes with classical completeness amounted to 86.21%. So it can  concluded that the experiment methods can improving students sciences process skills class X MS 5 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Learning physics is one of the problems frequently encountered in learning activities in school, especially at the high school level. The students are not trained to develop the skills process of science in solving a problem or symptom of physics. In addition, LKS often met at school only a summary of the subject matter, and it is exercise which consists of questions. LKS of this type does not train students to do the investigation process. The study aims to determine the feasibility of LKS with the model IDL to train skills the process of science students, in order to particularly describe (1) validity of LKS are developed, (2) practicalities LKS are developed, and (3) effectiveness of LKS, which was developed. The research method is research and development with model of developmen Dick and Carey. Data obtained through a validation LKS, feasibility RPP, observation skills the process of science and students test score. The results showed that (1) validation LKS which was developed according to validator is very good, (2) practicality of learning which is based on the feasibility RPP is very good, (3) effectiveness of learning based on test (THB) and establishment of skills the process of science students to LKS which was developed quiete good. Conclusion is obtained based on research which is LKS with model IDL to train skills the process of science in the dearth of power dynamic in SMAN 5 Banjarmasin unfit for use

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran di sekolah SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin masih sangat rendah terutama penggunaan media komputer, yang berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan umum penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada/tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan media animasi dan media slide, dengan tujuan khusus untuk (1) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media slide; (2) mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media animasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi  experimental design. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penggunaan media animasi dengan media slide terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin, berdasarkan uji t  menunjukkan nilai asymp sig. 2-tailed sebesar 0,043. Hasil ini didukung oleh data-data: (1) hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media slide berdasarkan nilai pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan dari nilai rata-rata siswa 46,5909  menjadi 68,7652; (2) hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media animasi berdasarkan nilai pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dibanding hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media slide yaitu dari nilai rata-rata siswa 44,6970  menjadi 75,0000.

Abstract

This adversely affects the learning outcomes. Therefore research material development through an approach Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) which aims to develop teaching materials such as lesson plans, worksheets, THB, and material teaching approach Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL). The specific objective of the research to result in: (1) the validity of teaching materials school physics problem-oriented topics fluid wetlands through Contextual Teaching And Learning approach; (2) the practicality of teaching materials school physics problem-oriented topics fluid wetlands through Contextual Teaching And Learning approach, and (3) the effectiveness of teaching materials-oriented high school physics topics fluid wetland problem through an approach Contextual Teaching And Learning. Development of research methods to the design of Dick and Carey. Data obtained through the instrument validation sheet materials, instruments keterlaksanaan RPP observation sheets, and test. The results showed that: (1) teaching materials declared invalid by the high category. (2) teaching materials developed otherwise practical with very good category. (3) teaching materials developed that was declared effective in the high category. Research concluded that high school physics teaching materials problem-oriented topics fluid wetlands through approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is declared unfit for use.
