Abstract

The purpose of research is to determine the perception of biology teachers confront the 2013 curriculum at the goverment secondary school in Pekanbaru city. The research conducted in may until june 2013. Determination of the sample is stratified random sampling technique, where the samples used are 25 biology teachers from 10 junior high school and 17 biology teachers from senior high school in pekanbaru. Collecting data using a closed questionnare, and direct interviews. Parameter measured is perception of biology teacher with the indicators used in research are graduates competency standards, content standards, process standards, and standards of evaluation. The result of research at junior high school for graduates competency standards indicator is 2,77, 2,60 for content standards indicator, 3,19 for process standars indicator, and 3,31 for standards of evaluation with average for all indicators are 2,97 belong to category of good. The average result at senior high school for graduates competency standards indicator is 2,87, 3,16 for content standards indicator, 3,10 for process standards indicator, and 3,20 for standards of evaluation with average for all indicators are 3,08 belong to category of good. Based on the result of research concluded that the perception of biology teachers confront the 2013 curriculum at the goverment secondary school in Pekanbaru city is belong to good category.Keywords : 2013 Curriculum, Biology Teachers, Perception, Pekanbaru, SMP, SMA

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance scientific attitudes and biology student learning outcomes Senior High School Class XI IPA 2 Kuantan Lower School Year 2011/2012 through the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model with the Quick on The Draw Strategy. This research is a class action that was undertaken in January-March 2012. Research subject is a class XI student of SMAN 2 Kuantan Downstream IPA totaling 21 people consisting of 4 students and 17 students. The parameters in this study is a scientific attitude, learning outcomes, and teacher activities. The research instrument consisted of the study and data collection instruments. The procedure consisted of the planning stage, the stage of the exercise of, the stage of observation and reflection stages. Techniques of data analysis consisted of a scientific attitude of students and student learning outcomes. Average of the scientific attitude in the cycle I is 71.73% (enough) is increased in the second cycle with an average of 86.41% which is the scientific attitude (very good). The average student absorption cycle is 65.52% I (quite) and increased in the second cycle with an average 84.81% (good). Thoroughness of student learning in the cycle I is 57.14% (complete) and 42.86% (not complete), and the second cycle increased to 100% (complete) and 0% (not complete). I cycle a group award for all the groups get great rewards. In the second cycle of all the super honored. I cycle activity with the teacher on an average is 95.56% (very good) in the second cycle increased to 100% (very good). From the research concluded with the application of models of cooperative learning strategies Quick On The Draw can improve the attitude of biological science and learning outcomes of students in Class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Kuantan Lower School Year 2011/2012.Keywords: Cooperative Model, Learning Outcomes, Quick On The Draw Strategy, Scientific Attitude.

Abstract

There was applied the Class Action Research (CAR) in order to increase student’s scientific attitude and Biology study result of class VII.C in MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru by applying Cooperative Learning model GQGA. This research was conducted in May 2012. The measuring parameter in take focus on student’s scientific attitude that have 7 indicators and their study results that are the student’s intake, The student’s study accomplishment individually, team reward, and student’s and teacher activities. The rate of scientific attitude in cycle I is 61,92% (low) and increases in cycle II become 83,98% (good). Student’s capability in cycle I is 66,07 (standard) and increases to 72,53% (standard). The student’s study accomplishment can be seen from their daily evaluation test in cycle I is 75% (accomplished) and increases in cycle II become 89,28% (accomplished). The team reward in cycle I are 1 group in super team, and 4 in good team. In cycle II, 2 groups in super team, and 3 groups in good teams. The conclusion of this research can be taken that the cooperative learning mode of GQGA can increase the student’s scientific attitude and their Biology study result of class VII.C in MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru, Lesson Year 2011/2012Keywords: Biology Study Result, Giving Question And Getting Answer (GQGA), Scientific Attitude.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to analyze student's metacognition skill profiles atSMPN 23 Pekanbaru academic year 2014/2015. This research was performed on 17th to 28th November 2014. The sample in this research is class VIII as many as 108 students were selected through stratified sampling technique. The data collection instruments used were a closed questionnaire and interview. The whole point questionnaire covered otherwise valid and reliable. The collected data were analyzed descriptive. Picture of student’s metacognition skills of SMPN 23 Pekanbaru obtained as follows: metacognition abilities of students in designing learning strategies (Planning) has developed differently with a score of metacognition 73, metacognition skills of students in selecting and using learning strategies ( Management Strategies) developed very well expressed by a score of metacognition 81, the ability to monitor student’s metacognition learning strategies (Monitoring) has developed differently with a score of metacognition 73, student’s metacognition skills in combining different learning strategies (Debugging) expressed always very good with metacognition score of 81 in the assessment of the ability of metacognition learning strategies student’s (Evaluation) declared progressing well with a score of 79. Overall, the metacognition scores of students is 77, then student’s metacognition skill profiles of SMPN 23 Pekanbaru class VIII in Biology Science Education declared the school year 2014/2015 is growing very well. Key words: profile of student metacognition skill, junior high school, sainsBiology learning

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is the development learning module  biology ipa scientific oriented approach for improved critical thinking on the structure of plants in class VIII SMP. The research was conducted at the campus of the University of Riau FKIP Biology Education and Student responses conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru in March to December 2015. This study uses 4-D model of development. Stages 4-D consists of four stages, namely Define (Definition Phase), Design (Stage Design), Develop (Development Phase), and Disseminate (Phase dissemination of). Data collection instruments used were sheets of validation and student questionnaire responses. Sheets validation judged by five validator which is composed of three lecturers and two junior high school teacher that consists of four aspects: the feasibility of the content, language, and kegrafisan dish. Results of the study the average score for the validation of the feasibility aspects of the content, language, serving and graphic on module to obtain an average score of 3.4 with very valid category. Feasibility aspects contents obtained an average score of 3.5 in the category of very valid, linguistic aspects obtained a score of 3.4 with very valid category, next to the aspect grain obtained a score of 3.4 category is very valid, and aspects kegrafisan obtain an average score of 3, 3 categories are very valid. While the average score of students' responses to a questionnaire developed module is 3.4 to excellent category. It was concluded that biological science learning modules oriented scientific approach that has been developed can be used and tested by teachers as an alternative in learning activities. Keywords: Critical thinking, Development, Module, Scientific Approach

Abstract

Research had been taken to see Student’s Soft Skill Profile of University on Developing Biology Education Program Lecture, on 2010/2011 Academic Year, through March until June 2011. Total Sample for this research is all of the students on the University who were taking Developing Biology Education Program Lecture that consist of 43 students (40 students are female and 3 students are male). Parameter of this research is Soft Skill describe in 7 indicators which are creativity, self-confidence, independent, motivation, critical thinking, time management and team-work. Instruments that were used are Soft Skill score base on the process using the all of seventh soft skill indicators and scoring work performance using 2 indicators from all of seventh Soft Skill. The result of the research shows Soft Skill score base on process is average 67.26% (enough). On RPP and LKS process the average score 65.41% (enough), on Mikro Education average score 62.94% (enough), on media presentation process average score 75.29% (good), and from all of the seventh Soft Skill indicators, the highest score is team-work indicator with average 88% (very good), whereas the lowest score is critical thinking indicator with average score 68% (enough). Soft Skill Profile score on team-work indicator is average 73.72% (enough), on the RPP work performance is 60.91% (enough score), on the LKS is 62.80% (enough), on educative media 85.79% (very good), on teaching material is 85.40% (very good), among two Soft Skill indicators the highest score is critical thinking indicator whose score is 74.19% (enough), meanwhile, the lowest score is creativity with score 73.26% (enough). By totally, Soft Skill Profile of university student score base on process and work performance on Developing Biology Education lecture is 70.49% within enough category.Keywords : Education Program, Soft Skill,
