Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the types of deixis found in the song lyric “Plastic Heart” by Miley Cyrus from Plastic Heart Album. This research applied for descriptive qualitative method and supported by simple quantitative calculate the percentage of each type of deixis. The observation methods were employed in this research to collect the data. Based on the result can be concluded that three main types of deixis are found in the song lyric, there are 56 data found of person deixis with a percentage of 61%. Next, 31 data found of time deixis with percentage 34% and last there is 4 data found of place deixis with percentage 5%. The most dominant data found in the song lyric is person deixis which refers to the speaker or the singer itself in the song. This research is expected to provide an understanding of deixis and the context that is conveyed by the speaker.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the types of moral value found in Toy Story movie and the way the characters in the movie reflected the values. This research used Toy Story movie as the data source. This research used qualitative method and the data were analyzed descriptively. The data found in the study were classified by the types of moral value, based on the theory from Audi (2007). The purpose of this study was to find out the moral values reflected by every character in the toy story movie. Based on the analysis, it was found that the moral values deal with t social values in terms of behaviour, relation, interaction and also the social groups that reflected by the characters. In this research the moral values of the characters were reflected by the performance of the characters in the movie. The reflection of such value can be seen from their action and incidents including conversation among the characters in Toy Story movie. The result of the study showed the relation between the actions from the character of Toy Story movie and the conversation affect the character’s attitude that showed how the moral is created in the movie.

Abstract

The study concerns with the slang word and  that occur in the Fate of the Furious Movie. The study aims to analyze the types of slang, the meaning of slang and the function of slang used in Fate of the Furious movie. This study used qualitative approach and the data collection was based on observation method by downloading the movie and movie script, watching the movie, looking through the scene and taking note. The theory used in this study are based on Leech (1981) there are five types of function of language and Chapman (2007) states there are two kind of slang: primary slang and secondary slang. The meanings of slang were taken from some online dictionaries that related to slang. This study reveals that there are 25 slangs which is found in Fate of the Furious movie. From the data, there are 22 primary slangs and 3 secondary slangs found. The meaning of slang mostly related to informational function which is focused on the speaker tends to inform something to the other characters in the movie. Abstract

Digital transformation has been sounding since 2021 and massive improvement is still being conducted after the outbreak. The transformation cannot be separated from the use of language as the media in linking the demand and supply, given that copywriting skill is urgently needed as many people enjoy content. By organizing workshop on copywriting skill, the goal of supporting side hustler to get the opportunity in this field was gratefully achieved. A day workshop collaborated with Badan Kreatif Denpasar (Denpasar Creative Agency) has raised the confidence of youth as the target to elicit their passion in copywriting. The impact of the workshop is positively encouraging the youth passion in having remote working as their dominant personality trait.

Abstract

Penelitianini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis bahasa gaul, makna bahasa gaul, dan fungsibahasa gaul yang digunakan dalam film Fate of the Furious. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dan pengumpulan datanya berdasarkan metode observasi denganmengunduh film dan naskah film, menonton film, melihat-lihat adegan dan mencatat. Teoriyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada Leech (1981) tentang lima jenis fungsibahasa dan juga menggunakan teori yang dikemukakan oleh Chapman (2007) tentang dua jenisbahasa gaul: bahasa gaul primer dan bahasa gaul sekunder. Makna bahasa gaul diambil daribeberapa kamus online yang terkait dengan bahasa gaul. Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada25 bahasa gaul yang ditemukan dalam film Fate of the Furious. Dari data tersebut ditemukan22 bahasa gaul primer dan 3 bahasa gaul sekunder. Makna bahasa gaul yang sebagian besarterkait dengan fungsi informasional yang difokuskan pada pembicara cenderungmenginformasikan sesuatu kepada karakter lain dalam film. Dari analisis makna tersebutdapat disimpulkan bahwa makna bahasa gaul itu bermacam-macam.Kata kunci: gaul, jenis, makna, fungsi, film Fate of the Furious.
