Abstract

Penerapan Case Based Learning (CBL) disertai umpan balik bertujuan agar siswa yang kesulitan mengenai konsep-konsep pada pokok bahasan yang telah diberikan dapat terbantu sehingga kemampuan pemahaman konsep terasah yang akan berdampak pada hasil belajar matematika siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksprimen bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan Case Based Learning (CBL) disertai umpan balik pada pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan sampel kelas kontrol dan eksprimen masing-masing sebanyak 31 siswa. Hasil analisis perhitungan t independent test, diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel (11,90 < 1,67) dengan pengujian two tail, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Case Based Learning (CBL) disertai umpan balik berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa.

Abstract

It is currently endeavored to try to learn science learning from an early age to children, especially in kindergarten. Learning is directed towards creative and critical thinking that is able to direct children's high order thinking skills. The community service program with the PKM-M scheme was carried out at TK PGRI, Palattae Village, Bone Regency regarding the problems of teachers as partners in teaching science in the classroom to make it easier and more interactive through the design of a science corner (Sci-Co). This service was carried out in three main stages, namely counseling, design, and dissemination of the Sci-Co design. Learning using Sci-Co will be able to make children more critical and able to analyze events or phenomena that are often encountered in a child's environment, such as rain. Even though this program is conducted online, it is able to build teachers' skills in presenting Sci-Co in a simple way, the result of the teacher's own creativity with less than one week of processing time at the same time the teacher claims that this Sci-Co will help him accommodate children's knowledge in learning so that it is more meaningful less than one hour.

Abstract

In reality, in the process of learning mathematics there are deficiencies in the practical context, among others, students are still just listening, watching, taking notes, then doing exercise questions and being passive. In overcoming the problems that occur requires a learning model that can accommodate several aspects to achieve learning goals. Various learning models are applied and still have some weaknesses so that this study has a purpose to present a learning model that covers the weaknesses of the model that has been applied which is useful to improve students' understanding of concepts in mathematics learning. Missouri Explicit Mathematics Instruction (EMMI) explicit model is the result of modification of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model with Explicit Instruction (EI) learning model. The EMMI learning model emphasizes various interactions between teachers and students, students and students, even with media and learning resources that enable students to learn basic skills and obtain information that can be taught step by step, in addition to collaborative learning the EMMI model also emphasizes student independence. The results showed that the EMMI model results for pretest t count of 4.869 and t table of 1.980 with a significant level of α = 0.05 in the rejection area of ​​H0, it was concluded that the implementation of Explicit Missouri Mathematics Instruction (EMMI) learning model could improve students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

One of the local honey of South Sulawesi is Trigona honey which comes from Trigona spp. There are three types of trigona bees in South Sulawesi with each colony consisting of 300-80,000 individuals. Trigona bees are found nesting in hollow places such as logs, tree holes, and cracks in the walls of houses. The nest entrance is made of plant resin mixed with soil and mud, with different shapes and colors depending on the species. This type of bee produces a lot of propolis compared to honey and the price of honey produced is much higher because it has a chemical content (health benefits) that is much better than ordinary honey from the Apis mellifera group. This study was designed by extracting in ethanolic process at a concentration of 70%. The choice of concentration was based on previous research with an extraction temperature of 60 °C. The treatment of this research is to vary the time, namely 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes as a setting for the extraction time. Each treatment will be carried out in duplicate. This shows that in the honeycomb waste Trigona spp. contains terpenoids which are classified as antioxidants. Therefore, beehive waste Trigona spp. potential to be used as a source of antioxidants. In addition, several compounds are also relatively large antibacterial and anti-microbial compounds contained in the waste of Trigona spp beehives. The optimum solvent used by comparing the percentage of abundance (abundance/relative) through the percentage of the area and molecular stability after fragmentation is through the ethanolic process using ethanol solvent with percent abundance at 218 m/z and 189 m/z with the largest compound contained is Methyl Commate A and Alpha-Amyrin

Abstract

Limbah sekam padi selama ini menjadi permasalahan utama bagi Kelompok Tani Pada Elo’ Desa Sanrego sebab penanganan yang biasa dilakukan dapat memicu pencemaran udara yang berdampak pula pada lingkungan sekitar. Program Pelaksaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada Kelompok Tani Pada Elo’ dalam mentransformasikan limbah sekam padi yang semula kurang dimanfaatkan menjadi produk arang sekam atau biochar yang layak jual. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan utama yaitu tudang sipulung, mas’pasituru, dan sipakatau. Tiga tahapan ini mencerminkan filsofi yang dianut oleh anggota Kelompok Tani Pada Elo’ yang berdasar pada tradisi masyarakat bugis. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam mengolah limbah sekam padi menjadi biochar dengan preferensi yang cukup meningkat secara signifikan yaitu komponen pengetahuan meningkat dengan persentase 90% dan komponen peningkatan keterampilan sebesar 100%. Dampak dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini menghasilkan anggota kelompok tani yang mampu secara mandiri memproduksi biochar serta menjadi kegiatan potensial yang dapat menambah pendapatan diluar hasil pertanian.

Abstract

Students' mathematical abilities are still considered low due to the lack of students' mathematical connection abilities. One effort that can be done in overcoming the low ability of students' mathematical connections is to involve the culture around students in the learning process. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical connection ability through the application of learning strategies based on local wisdom a'bulo sibatang, assamaturu, mappesabbi and sipakatau. The research method used is a quantitative quasi-experimental type of nonequivalent control group design. Through purposive sampling technique, it was obtained class XI MIPA 3 (experimental class) and XI MIPA 1 (control class). The instrument used is a test to indicators of mathematical connection ability. The results showed an increase in indicator of mathematical connection ability in the experimental class, namely 88.52% indicator I, 85.35% indicator II and 83.87% indicator III. Meanwhile, in the control class applied problem-based learning strategies only got a score of 65%. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that local wisdom-based learning in the experimental class is able to improve students' mathematical connection ability better than the control class that applies problem-based learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara kualitatif mengenai efektifitas ekstrak kayu sepang sebagai pengawet alami pada daging olahan. Efektifitas pengujian ini didasarkan pada kandungan ekstrak kayu sepang seperti brazilin, flavonoid, dan tannin sebagai sumber antioksidan dan antimikroba. Pemilihan daging olahan sebagai bahan untuk diawetkan secara alami, sebab permasalahan akan mudahnya daging olahan rusak secara fisika, kimiawi, dan mikrobiologi mengakibatkan banyak produsen daging olahan merugi akibat masa simpan yang singakt. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pengujian pengawet alami dari herbal seperti ekstrak kayu sepang ini. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi melalui pengamatan mengenai perlakuan yang diberikan dengan dua faktor perlakuan yaitu variasi pH dan waktu perendaman. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa efektifitas perendaman optimum adalah 2 hari dengan masa simpan 4 hari pada suhu ruangan. pH larutan ekstrak dan perendaman berkisar 5-6 yang menunjukkan penurunan pH selama waktu perendaman setiap variasi.

Abstract

Rendahnya harga jual buah kelapa tua mengakibatkan masyarakat bingung untuk mengolahya menjadi produk lebih bernilai. Penggiatan pembuatan minyak Parede yang memanfaatkan buah kelapa tua semakin pudar disebabkan minyak Parede mudah tengik serta proses pemasakan yang lama, sehingga dinilai tidak efisien dari segi waktu, tenaga dan penggunaan bahan bakar. Program kemitraan masyarakat dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra dalam mengolah minyak Parede sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan mitra yaitu Ibu PKK Desa Latellang dalam melakukan diferensiasi produk. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengolahan minyak Parede yaitu lebih efisien serta mitra mampu melakukan pembuatan Minyak Parjek sebagai produk diferensiasi.

Abstract

Mathematical logical intelligence is one of the skills that are needed in the 21st century related to mathematical problem-solving skills. The importance of this skill is not in line with the facts on the ground, where students are still weak in counting and using logic in problem solving. The purpose of this research is to improve students’ mathematical logical intelligence through the online-based integration of local wisdom of Sulapa Eppa Walasuji. Sulapa Eppa Walasuji is one of the Bugis-Makassar local wisdoms with a unique pattern, appropriate to be used as a medium for learning transformation of geometry. Through the integration of local wisdom, Sulapa Eppa Walasuji can create contextual mathematics learning, so that students can easily understand the material by connecting real-life concepts. This research includes experimental research with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group design type. The research instrument used was a mathematical logical intelligence test consisting of five essay questions. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics with gain score and effect size testing. The results showed that the mathematical logical intelligence of experimental class students increased by 43.16 with the effective contribution of the r effect size being 0.910. This indicates that the online-based integration of Sulapa Eppa Walasuji can improve students’ mathematical logical intelligence.
